The polls are coming out fast and furious this Friday afternoon... A new Insider Advantage poll of South Carolina (conducted Dec. 3-4 of 421 likely Dem voters) has Obama at 26%, Clinton at 24%, Edwards at 15%, and Biden at 10%.

Bravo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Obama all the way baby
No surprise there.  It's time for a revolution in American politics.  Where people are paying the most attention, it's clear that Obama is the answer.  We need CHANGE- honesty, transparency, and an end to partisan bickering brought to Washington.  Only Obama has the relevant experience.  Only Obama has ACTUALLY PASSED health care legislation through a partisan legislature.  Only Obama has ACTUALLY PASSED ethics reform legislation.  Only OBAMA has ACTUALLY PASSED death penalty reform through a partisan legislature.

Obama is poised to sweep Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina.
Biden at 10%...that's the story! Keep climbing Joe!
----- CLINTON SLEAZE FATIGUE WILL INVIGORATE GOP, DISPIRIT DEMOCRATS AND SINK DEMOCRATIC TICKET-----
-----EDWARDS/RICHARDSON TO WIN-----
It is possible that Senator Clinton is the best candidate. However, even though many may like the policies that Senator Clinton proposes, they should also consider her record, just as Senator Clinton insists.
.
The last Clinton Administration, when faced with the fact that protection rackets where assaulting, torturing and murdering people with poison and radiation, chose to avoid its responsibilities to incarcerate the criminals and to protect the citizenry.
.
Instead, they made a deal with the criminal gang stalker protection rackets to leave them alone and to consequently abandon the citizenry.
.
Do we want a President who sells out the citizenry for votes?
.
Do we want a President who sends a "crime does pay" message to society?
.
Would you vote for a President who signed nonaggression deals with the KKKlan or the Nazi party? Gangs that torture with poison and radiation are much like the KKKlan and Nazi Party.
.
We do not need a sellout President. We need a principled leader President.
.
If you are one of the few who do not know what the above refers to, do a web search for "gang stalking" to see the tip of the dirtberg. Please do it before you decide to reply to my post. Here let me make it easy for you: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=%22gang+stalking%22.
Wait for it...

Wait for it...
Imagine what the Oprah effects will be during this weekend. It is going to be a home run.
there it is...

Van
I'm disappointed in the responses so far. Aren't you, Van? I guess that's what we get on Friday afternoons.
Doesn't mean a thing. Rasmussen which is a more accurate poll has Hillary beating Obama in SC.

Oh, and Oprah will have no effect whatsoever. Now maybe if Obama had gotten Bono to endorse him......

Hillary 08!

Hillary 08!
Tareli, Fuquay Varina NC
-----------------------------------------------------

Typical Hillary supporters; what else do you have to say?
Tareli the Rasmussen poll you cite to shows that Senator Clinton's lead over Senator Obama is only two percent.  Just a month ago the Rassmussen poll had Senator Clinton up by thirteen percent.  So Rassmussen is showing the same thing the Insider Advantage poll is showing considerable slippage for Senator Clinton so that now South Carolina is a dead heat.
Yeah, I was a little premature in my, ...there it is."

Have a nice weekend J-

Van
I approve this message.  The Obama campaign is just getting starting!
Speaking of Rusmussen..

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows Hillary Clinton with 34% support and a nine-point lead nationally in the race for the Democratic Presidential Nomination. Barack Obama earns the vote from 25%
http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/2008_presidential_election/daily_presidential_tracking_poll

Only 9% ahead nationally now.  Clinton is on the downturn.  Name-recognition is beginning to fade away.
Soooo...., did I hear you say that Hillary is the "inevitable" Democratic nominee, or..., did you say that TITANIC IS SINKING?
Well, I say that...
CHANGE, not Hillary, is INEVITABLE!!!

O-4-08
I'll wait for Gallup's polls before I get too excited about all these different companies.
Now that the "inevitablity" myth has been dispersed, it is time for Edwards to get the attention he is worthy of. people will consider Obama too risky.

Edwards is the better bet, and a great personality for the presidency to lead the country in the ways it needs to go, without being scapegoated because of gender and race.
I am a woman for Obama! Most women are not supporting Hillary Clinton. Look America, it's time to put your thinking caps on here. Look at the past 3 presidents we had. Bush, Clinton, Clinton, Bush , Bush. Why would any one in there right mind vote for Hillary Clinton? What has Hillary done positively for America? Nothing. She has bad judgment -- she voted for the Iraq War, could not get Healthcare passed, stayed with a husband that constanly humiliates her. She is trying to run on a record of being Fisrt Lady -- but will not present the records. She takes tons of money from lobbyists and special interest gropus. Please do not be foolish -- that's why Bush is our president now. Do the right thing this time -- vote for Barack Obama -- America our time is now!
Hey Hillary ...keep up the negative attacks...they are really working well for you... LOL
If Hillary loses Iowa, NH AND SC....
She's toast !!

It would be sweet to see a two way race:
Obama and Edwards

Going negative isn;t helping Hillary
It just makes her look desperate

Yeah, sorry about the campaign van
It must be tough
After all the 'inevitable talk
After all the 'national polls'

You probably convinced yourself, van

Better luck next time......

Think Chelsea will run in 2024 against Michelle Obama ?
The Obama tsunami is finally here. Where in the hell are Hillary's fans going to hide? I pity Hillary.! Anyway, she is my second choice beside Obama
Andrea, I am like you.  a democratic woman who supports Obama.  I will not support Hillary if she is the nominee.
We desperately need change and we need someone like Obama to bring that.  His judgment, his understanding of the constitution and his ability to get things done makes him a winner for president.
Wow! I can't imagine how insufferably smug some of you would be if Obama was actually ahead...
This does make it more fun though.

Van
Good to know. I don't think their African-American polling is reflective of the primary.  We've said African Americans would make up roughly 45%?  Of the primary vote?

337 Caucasians
67 African Americans
3 Hispanics
23 Other

African American vote is very undersampled.  I didn't see a breakdown of how the African American vote was split either.
Will the real Obama stand up? Is he black or white?
Personally I don't like him,  It is hard to hear what he says with that "gtating" speech intonation. I couldn't bear to hear that for four years!

Go Hillary.  It is time to see what a woman can do instead of another man!!!

Not a single word mentioned about Rudy! Let's attack Clinton, write a few negative comments about Obama, throw in some indirect attacks on Hillary's family, etc. Bee, Sierra you had better take a few deep breaths and think about Rudy. Every moment you spend attacking HRC is a moment you let Rudy slide. Is this your intent? If so, you are doing an admirable job!
Tactical analysis...
Clearly, the Clinton attack machine will need to target Obama hard, diverting a good portion of her vast resources away from GOPers.  In addition, Clinton will treat the (personality wise) appealing Obama to a nice mud bath before leaving him face down in the Potomic.  Her absolute brutality directed towards a fellow dem will no doubt irritate many Obama/Oprahites and a number of independents.  She will then face the GOPer in a more financially depleted/good will depleted position than her calculus suggested.  As opposed to her GOP rival, Hillary is uniquely vulnerable to this perception due to her very high unfavorables..in other words, at the critical time she should be enhancing "likeability" she will be doing the opposite.

BARACK OBAMA / VP JOHN EDWARS TICKET  2008

THAT IS THE WAY TO GO!!GOBAMA!!!
I'm encouraged by the results, but why do prominent media outlets say people are leading when there's no statistical difference between the top two candidates? This blog post doesn't mention that there even is a percent error. It's sloppiness as the media jumps to make this less of a presidential election about policy perspectives and leadership abilities/styles and more about a vapid horse race.
Now that people are starting to wake up to the fact that Obama has a chance, this is going to snowball. Most people don't like Clinton, they just vote for her b/c of perceived inevitability. This is good because hillary would lose a general election. How can you win an election where 50% of America will not vote for you, guaranteed? The Republicans still have their Clinton war swords from the 90's, and if Hillary were exposed to them it would be a slaughter.
Gross.  He's too disgusting like a pig.  I think I'll be voting for Hillary instead.
Nice work Obama!!!  Let's see what Hillary has to say to Katie Curic now?  I said it before and I'll say it again, if Hillary gets the nomination "Good-bye Democratic party", forever!  Andrea from FL hit the nail on the head, squarely!  Hillary is running on the fact that she was first lady, she failed at everything she put her hand to during that time and she only won New York because Rudy bowed out.  The audacity of her to question Obama's experience when she has done utterly squat! for the downtrodden.  In fact she was the one to convince Bill Clinton on Don't Ask Don't Tell and Welfare Reform.  Both policies are based in hatred and is NOT "well thought-through legislation".  Again, it is her lack of sincerity and a vulgar notion that she is owed the presidency that gets me.  I also hate the fact that we have seen this same attitude of entitlement in the dry-drunk Bush Jr.  We don't need 8 years of Hillary just because her surname is Clinton.  Imagine when coke snorting Jenna Bush thinks she gets a chance at the throne!  AAAAHHHHHH!

"Obama please save this beautiful country from these war-mongering pigs!"
"Edwards is the better bet, and a great personality for the presidency to lead the country in the ways it needs to go, without being scapegoated because of gender and race."

You do understand that Edwards is an ambulance chaser who became filthy rich buy bringing bogus law suits using discredited science (eg. cerebral palsey is not caused by OB/GYNs)- the net result of which was to raise health care costs and drive numerous OB docs from N. Carolina, resulting in shortages.  With his ill-gotten wealth, he purchases a house the size of a shopping mall.  In the ultimate irony, this failed VP candidate then literally preaches monotonously on about why do we have 2 classes and why is not health care affordable for all.  Otherwise, he has a great haircut and seems like he has a nice personality.
GO OBAMA GO! It will be Obama (pres) and Richardson (vp)in the Democratic ticket.  There is light at the end of the bush collapsing tunnel.
We should amend the Constitution such that a President's parents, spouse, siblings and children can not run for the presidency until 20 years after he/she has left the office.

This notion that a handful of political families can continually run our country needs to be stopped.
Lovin' the Obama rise, but I'm stoked beyond stoked about BIDEN.

Biden/Obama '08.  Obama '16
People need to chill out with these polls. Think about it little rationally no matter if you support Clinton, Obama or Edwards. Just do the math.. 2% of 421 is ~ 8 people.  Of 421 people used in this poll 8 more people are for Obama than Hillary.  Tomorrow there will be another poll that shows Hillary has 2 point lead.  We are still almost 2 months away from SC primary and 24 hours can be lifetime in politics.
Hey Tareli...What doesnt matter is someone supporting from North Carolina thinking Hillary has a shot in that state...Good luck with that
Hey Tareli...What doesnt matter is someone supporting from North Carolina thinking Hillary has a shot in that state...Good luck with that
It was always clear that Democrats and the American people don't want another Clinton. Hillary was too stupid to think that Americans are so dumb to want to endorse dynasticism.

The fact that fewer people were paying attention in the election, at the early stage, gave her a virtual lead, which she thought was real.

Anybody who reads DREAMS OF MY FATHER and THE AUDACITY OF HOPE will vote Obama anyday.
I'll be supporting and voting for Kucinich in the primaries...but I'd be proud to have Obama as our president.
Obama has almost got this nomination wrapped up. Hillary sure self-destructed in a hurry.
Someone told me he has really bad body odor sometimes.
As a voter in South Carolina, nothing makes me happier than to see that people here are catching on to Obama.  Obama 2008 is the way to be great!
Hillary Is no longer Inevitiable.Obama Is rising. She
Is the candiate the republicans want to run against.
As a Liberal Democrat who supported Howard Dean I saw
this Is all great.ObamaBiden would be a good ticket.
Did any body notice that when they interviewed the white guy from SC about Obama's chances they flashed a scene of someone taking a couple of beers out of a cooler???? Imagine if they had flashed a picture of a guy token on a crack pipe when they where interviewing the black judge... What exactly was that???
If yoou want a Carter type gov't then Obama is your man, No substance, no depth, no experience, a lot of high sounding words and photo-op poses and not a clue about leading this nation. From his early actions he does not even know what the Flag or National Anthem is all about. Since everyone is spiking Mr Romney, then perhaps Oprah should ask about his religion.
Karl Rove is planning for the nominated Dem candidate to be Obama. He recently offered Obama action items in the Financial Times. Then, you will see him and his dastardly legions Swift Boat (actual Swift Carrier) Obama.

If Obama is nominated, he will be unelectable. The evangelicals will unite around Huckabee, if he is the candidate- he's leading now in Iowa by 22%. If Obama fails to be elected, he is finished in politics. He should wait-he's young. If Hillary is nominated and does not get elected, he comes in 4 years older and wiser(in 2012)and with 6 years in US Senate, he's got a great chance to be President.
If Obama wins Iowa, he will likely win NH. When that happens, he'll take SC too.

It will really be something to see Hillary's camp crash. If she's going bezerk because he gained a few points on her, they will go ballistic when they actually start losing states to Obama.
These post are funny... And more importantly the evolution of the people on here - even better...

Oh and about the Big "O" - last time I check she isn't on the ballot, so not sure exactly what her endorsements brings - unless people think that people vote because someone else tells them too.

I am glad to see O get involved - we could have used her help in 2000 and 2004, but she stayed on the sidelineback then.

And at the end of the day - its Senator Clinton vs. Senator Obama - and people will have to make the choice between them not Oprah.
