I guess they did not need the Stadium afterall.

If only Big "O" would have given away cars.
Of course when the recepients find out they have to pay income taxes on those cars that's a whole different story.  Basically it's some kind of
tax thing for Big "O" to do that kind of thing.

Big "O" looked disheveled at the rally and really big.
I have a question for you guys, After looking at that stage with Big "O" and the Obama's up there, American's is that really what you want your government in Washington D.C. to look like and sound like?  President Hussein and maybe Secretary of State
Big "O"  Are we in the right country or the right continent for that?
Oprah does not add depth to the Obama campaign. Iowans should not bee mezmorized by Hollywood. Can she give Barack some credibility on Foriegn Policy, Balancing Budgets and Immigrations, probably not. Experience, experience, experience!
And one more to go.......
watched it Obama was pretty good----I could probably vote for him after this speech.I am not an Oprah fan but she gave him a good introduction.
The crowd was huge! It was really diverse for Iowa with all ages and ethnicities. Oprah was charming and gave a campaign style speech. As a listener I wept when she described  Ms. Jane Pittman asking throughout her life if "this is the one" and then Oprah saying emphatically that Senator Obama is "the one to be President of the United States." It is clear that the Obama campaign is out of the ordinary and clearly a "movement".

There has been a agreat deal of talk about Oprah's campaigning for Barack Obama and what this will do for him.  Some say nothing, others say it will do quite a lot - I'm just glad to see her supporting him - ultimately, as so many have stated earlier, he has to sell himself.  Her mission is getting people out to see him.  This she will do, the rest is up to him!
In my estimation, he offers a fresh, new, positive, bipaprtisan and out of the Washington loop approach.  That is what we need, for the United States, as well as for the rest of the world. I truly believe he can do this better than anyone else.  I hope that he succeeds.
I saw it on CSPAN. It was great to see Iowans come out even though the weather was awful. Great sppech by Obama and Oprah. Michelle joked about singing.
Too bad CSPAN had a some guy(probably from another candidate) controlling the sound. I could not hear some callers(at the end). Many callers sounded supportive of Barack Obama, except one nutcase(needs healthcare) who says that he was running on the Repub ticket. That Repub caller(curiously could be heard clearly) wanted someone to represent the gangs of this country. Same caller wanted John McCain to be his(caller's) VP.(LOL)
By the way, not even close to the amount that showed up for Bush on his first big announcement, which toward the middle of the campaign attendance was around 30,000. He still has a long way to go...
This seals the deal for me
Obama 08'
Oprah.....been a fan for years but I see this as your first major misstep.........Now Edwards can come right on up the middle!
18,500.....Oprah has done her part! In the days to come we will see if Obama did his!

    FIRED UP......READY TO GO
Barack Obama has "an ear for eloquence and a tongue dipped in the unvarnished truth."

- Oprah Winfrey
Who would back a Presidental candidate , who would not salute and pledge allegiance to our flag and the symbol of freedom ? Scary situation for our country.
Southern Lady-The stadium is set for SC tomorrow.

Are you the same women that asked McCain about how to beat the "B"?
Southern Lady, the 80k stadium is for the rally in South Carolina. Hey, but why let facts get in the way....
there were alot of people there.  On cspan, aside from the technical problems with the audio, it was great to watch.
i think that Obama is what we need right now. normally i support republican candidates for president but its time for someone that we can trust for a change... just might be the person to restore our country's respect around the world... Go OBAMA! you have this repulican's vote!
Love the speech and great endorsement for Obama...now iss time is for new change and leadership.  This nation needs a new vision and its Obama all the way.

I will be attending the event in Columbia with my family.  A historic event in deed.
Obama is authentic. His message is inspiring and cogent, whereas yours, "Southern Lady," is racist, ignorant, and sad.
I want to know what he will do about the illegal in this that take job's from the working class people of this country'what he going to about the mortage crsis in this country what's he going do about the people that coming back from Iraq and Aghanstan, And quite having this country coming a police state where an america citzen got to produce they are us. citzen but an illegal don't and the law can't ask them?
It was a great event.  I loved Oprah's remarks.  She looked good in regal purple.  That place was packed
and there were crowds of people outside as well.  Some people were visiting from Minnesota and saw the crowds and asked what concert was playing.  Oprah certainly did her part by bringing them out and Obama sealed the deal.

Bush did not come close to drawing 30k in Iowa, but nice try.  In NH, Bush only drew 5k whereas Kerry drew 13k and Obama is expected about 15k I think.

It's sad that Oprah is supporting an Islam, it doesn't matter that he "SUDDENLY" became a Christian.  Do we want a Muslim/Terrorist as our President.  For Garden's sake People, open your dad burn Eyes.  If it were Colon Powell, I'd be on the band wagon but this is a man who grew up as a Muslim.  Are we so stupid that we would vote for a Muslam man, yes even a black man (Yes I am a black woman).  I like Ophra but I WILL NOT VOTE FOR A MUSLIM!!!!!!!!!!  I'd vote for Hillary first and God Forbid she becomes President.  I'd rather lose to a Republican than have Hillary and Osama no excuse me Obama become President.  Ophra, go back to your show and stay out of polictics, you are best at your show and your interviews.  Leave the Polictics to the People of the U.S. of A.  We are so not that STUPID as you may think that we are.
Obama is a member of the United Church of Christ.  He is not and has never been a Muslim.  Please see

E. Sophie Wickes-Andrews:  Are you crazy or what?  How could you be so gullible as to believe that Obama is a Muslim?  Just goes to show that dirty politics without a shred of truth in them are believed by the uneducated masses.
I agree with Oprah "he's the one!"

And he'll bring "statesmanship to the White House!"

Ann from Utica,

No, I have never addressed John McCain's posts one way or the other, I could care less about him. HE IS WAY TO OLD AND WORN OUT PLUS HE IS A REPUBLICAN.
I really don't understand why folks are committed to
Obama, Osama, Hussein or whatever his name is.
Oprah is only fired up and has endorsed him only because he is black as is she.  Not only is she "Black" but very black.

That won't fly here in the United States of America.
I might vote for a qualified candidate who is black but not Osama Hussein Barack.  He is not qualified no matter what his color he is AND HE MAY SAY HE IS CHRISTIAN BUT I NEVER EVER HEARD OF THAT CHURCH. HE IS BASICALLY A MUSLIM!!!!
If you do vote for him and support him you will live to regret it just as I told everyone I could TELL in 2004 about "W".  What a traversty HIS RE-ELECTION has been and it does not get any better, now with destroying tapes of the waterboarding.  That Guy, George W. and Cheney should not only be impeached but should go to jail.

Vote for someone who is qualified and honest and sincere and has kept their marriage vows through thick and thin and that person is "Senator Hilary Clinton"  I TOTALLY 100% SUPPORT SENATOR HILARY CLINTON- THERE IS NO CONTEST BETWEEN HER AND THE
LITTLE KNOWN INEXPERIENCED, WET BEHIND THE BIG EARS
OSAMA HUSSEIN BARAMA.
Obama is a member of the United Church of Christ.  He is not and has never been a Muslim.

That's not what Hillary's campaign says. Who are we to believe?
E. Sophie, pls grow up,do you really believe that. Why dont you do a little personal research, would you like for your own beliefs to be misrepresented?
Opray's going to win this thing! Hoo-ray for President Oprah!!
!8,500 on a snowy, icy day is amazing! Watched on C-SPAN and was very impressed. And tomorrow's event in South Carolina could very well be the largest political rally in U.S. history! I think this is the week the pundits will look back on as the turning point for Obama. And the Clinton campaign played a major role with their ludicrous "kindergarten-gate!" I really believe Obama can win this!
E. Sophie's post was such an incredible display of bigotry and ignorance that it can only have made anyone who read it worse off as a human being.

It is amazing and unfortunate that individuals exist who use email forwards as a primary news source.  It is equally unfortunate that you would completely preclude an American running for president based on religious beliefs or, in this case, what you erroneously believe to be his religious beliefs.  I can only hope the post was a joke.

my momma is a southern lady and southern lady you definitely aint a southern "lady". your statements were personal and racist.philosophy, ideology, attitudes and even religion can be changed but skin color cannot.if you are really from ark. you demean your entire state with those comments. btw, my horse in the race is edwards but i know wrong when i see it.
