JOHNSTON, IA -- Education is the question, and Hunter whips out the Jaime Escalante card. But then the moderator pointed out that Escalante is no longer teaching.

"The unions ran him out of the school district," Hunter replied.

Has anyone checked this out? It would be nice to know for those of us who can't spend a whole lot of time digging. I am not even sure where to look.
