Clinton ad highlights bipartisanship

Clinton turns her focus back on health care in a new ad in New Hampshire. The 30-second spot "Guard" highlights Clinton's experience and her efforts to work across the aisle.

With brassy presidential music in the background, Clinton discusses her work to get health care coverage for National Guard and Reserve members. That this is running in New Hampshire shows this may be an appeal to Independents and tries to dissuade the stereotypes and caricatures of Hillary Clinton of the 1990s.

“So I reached across the aisle and worked for three years with Senator Lindsey Graham, a Republican, to change that," Clinton says. "Now every member of the Guard and Reserve has access to the health coverage they need. I've learned if you want to get things done, you have to know when to stand your ground, and when to find common ground."

Problem is we all know she's lying. Can't "change" that.
Yes ! here it is a real candidate that will get things "done". Willing to work with both sides of the isle . hillaryclinton.com  ,please come for a visit and join the conversation
Wow you guys are just going full bore with the Clinton stuff today.

Don't want to spread the bias?
PLEASE !! PLEASE !!
A few more stories on Clinton !!
What's she doing now ??

Does Bill have a new girl friend ?
Hillary will win Iowa, the "momentum" to her is "strong".
Five Clinton posts in a row, sweet.  Apparantly nobody else is campaigning today.
This is way too funny. This on the heels of the Clinton's dragging G.Bush I into the 'We'll support Hillary!' gang. Of course, no one ever asked George the First about any of this stuff. Hillary doesn't even play well with Democrats, let alone Republicans. She is one of the most divisive politicians ever in American politics. This is just more window dressing and lies from the Clinton camp.

Lindsey Graham impeached your husband Hillary. And he'll impeach you too!
Hillary, I bet that was a real tough fight working across the aisle with Republicans to get healthcare coverage for our troops.  Real tough.
Question of the week:

First Read, what is 'journalistic integrity'  ?

Yeah, yeah I know, it's an archiac concept

I ANYBODY ELSE running for President ?
more lobbyist on staff than any other candidate including the republicans.

64% of republicans will unite. undecideds are factored in.
john edwards no pac or lobbyist money.
Hillary is my gal!  I'm voting for her because she's hot!
Moderates and independents won't go for her no matter how bipartisan she is. While she's the liberal witch to Republicans, much of the Dem base sees her bipartisanship as quite genuine and not in a good way:  She's a corporate Dem hawk so naturally it's easy for her to cooperate with corporate Republican hawks.

There are no extra points for difficulty in elections. She has the highest percentage of voters who absolutely will vote to prevent her from becoming President. Edwards has the best numbers in match-ups with every Republican possibility.  Dems should take those numbers seriously. Picking a controversial, high negative senator from NYC is NOT a high percentage shot.
Does anyone really think Hillary will be the best candidate to bring Democrats and Republicans together to tackle the enormous issues facing this country? She is extremely polarizing. No one else registers such negativity on either side. If the Democrats want to nominate someone who will energize the Republicans, like no other, then Hillary is the choice. She even has very high negatives among Democrats! Barack Obama would be a much more formidable candidate to go up against the Republicans. Wake up, Democrats! Don't go backwards to the 1990s - look forward, to someone who can inspire both Democrats and Republicans to come together and solve these problems which have been festering for decades, under both Democratic and Republican administrations. We need a fresh start! We need Obama!

P.S. - I am so sick of the INTELLECTUAL LAZINESS  being shown by most of the media in adopting these "shorthand" terms of experience vs. change! Talk about a herd mentality! ALL of the candidates - on BOTH sides - have enough EXPERIENCE! It is their VISION for the future - their ability to INSPIRE - their capability in UNITING opposing sides - and their past JUDGMENT on key issues, such as Iraq and Iran - that are the key determinants as to whether they will be a great president. To me, the choice for the Democrats is a no-brainer. BARACK OBAMA should be our nominee.
wHY THEN YOU FOOL DID GEORGE OFFER ADVICE TO HILLIARY A FEW MONTHS BACK AND EVERYTIME YOU SEE A REPUBLICAN HES TALKING ABOUT WHAT HILLIARY SHOPULD DO WITH HER CAMPAIGN,GET YOUR IDIOT ELECTED FIRST WHOS IT GOONA BE MITT SPECIAL UNDERWEAR ROMMENY ANN COULTER LOVES HIM OR RUDY THREE WIVES ROGER AILS BEST BOY OR FREDDY,TUCKER THE BOY WONDER LOVES HIS LAZY STYLE PICK YOUR LOSER FIRST THEN WORRY ABOUT HILLIARY OH AND OBAMA SUPPORTERS HAVE FUN IN THE GENERAL ELECTION IM SURE KARL ROVE WILL TAKE IT EASY ON THE MADRASSAS AND PAST DRUG USE HE IS SUCH A NICE MAN.
Wow, that's a Clinton overload. Now about this notion of her being bi-partisan... What?
Considering it was the republican congress responsible for the mess at Walter Reed Hospital, as well as the no body armor for the troops, not to mention attempting to have wounded soldiers return their signing bonuses as they could not finish their tours, I imagine it WAS a bit difficult to get some of the republicans in congress to sign on to ANYTHING that is good for the troops.
Breaking News*********

Bill Clinton just covered up another sexual scandal..
I'm sure the Republicans didn't want to give our troops healthcare I mean they haven't been screaming they're all about national defense for the last 6 years or anything...Give me a break!  ABH!  Anybody But Hillary!...wait sorry I take that back ADBH! Any Democrat but Hillary!
Man, I can practically hear the spine-tingling cackle coming from First Read today. Ease up, guys. Not even Hillary supporters care that much.
Considering how the GOP's negotiating tactics these days consist of either getting their way or filibustering (and where are the cries of obstructionism when it's the GOP?!?!) I don't think that highlighting your "bipartisanship" is a good idea.  I'll take Dodd over Clinton specifically because he is willing to give the idiots across the isle the finger.
She got a Republican to agree to give someone in services related the armed forces health care!?  GASP!  Wow!  She sure knows how to reach across the isle... cause those Republicans, they HATE supporting men and women who serve this country! (that's sarcasm for the slow folk out there)

When it really mattered, when it was an obstacle tough to climb, Hillary Clinton collapsed, and universal health care got plundered.  Another good question: why is Hillary Clinton the top recipient of health care lobbyist money of ANY of the candidates?  Two-three times over anyone else, at that.

The health care lobbyists bought the destruction of the last health care plan.  Will Hillary let them do it again?  After all, she ACTUALLY said that "lobbyists are people too"...  Just not your average everyday people, they're people with power, money, and Clinton on their side.
Clinton says. "Now every member of the Guard and Reserve has access to the health coverage they need."
--First of all, good for her.  Still, I guess I'd kind of like to see this ad fact-checked.
--Second, she fought to obtain ACCESS for health coverage.  Sounds more like Obama's plan.  I thought she was pro-mandate/anti-choice for a healthcare solution.  Her past still doesn't match her rhetoric.  It didn't when she failed in the 90's and it doesn't here in the Senate.
First Read,

Can you guys show some balance here; 5 Hillary posts in a row! I know your name says "First Read" and may be you want to tell us the news quickly, "first" but how about the other candidates. Or does this mean you have fallen for the Hillary campaign tactic of media blitz and dominating the news with combination of worthy and not so worthy stuff. Aren't you supposed to report but discern news from propaganda?
Okay, just got done reading other sites for campaign news. Kerrey drops the madrassa stink bomb, Bill tells an audience that Hillary's first act as president would be to dispatch H.W. Bush to repair the diplomatic damage done by his son...

And all First Read has is a new Clinton ad and some supermarket story?

Must be the MSNBC Christmas Party today, because it seems you guys are off your game.
Clinton gets some good news in 7 general election state polls released this morning, in which she polls very strongly in states like Missouri, Minnesota and North Carolina. The only bad news is Ohio in which both Obama and her still trail. Full roundup: http://www.campaigndiaries.com/2007/12/presidential-polls-coming-in-from-all.html
Everyone should really watch the interview that David Gregory did with her on the Today Show, and should check out David Brooks' recent article. Both highlight in clear ways why she is not the "uniter" that she claims to be.
Count Bush 41 out...Bill does it again FOOT IN MOUTH:

WASHINGTON (CNN) — Former President George H.W. Bush has shot down his successor Bill Clinton’s idea of a diplomatic mission under a Hillary Clinton presidency that would send him and other notables abroad to assure other nations that “America is open for business and cooperation again.”

The move came one day after Bill Clinton made the suggestion on the campaign trail in South Carolina, in response to a question from a supporter about his wife’s “number-one priority” upon reaching the White House.

In a statement sent to CNN Tuesday afternoon, former President Bush’s chief of staff Jean Becker said that he “wholeheartedly supports the president of the United States, including his foreign policy. He has never discussed an ‘around-the-world-mission’ with either former President Bill Clinton or Sen. Clinton, nor does he think such a mission is warranted since he is proud of the role America continues to play around the world as the beacon of hope for freedom and democracy.

“President Bush is excited about several of the excellent Republican candidates running for president, and looks forward to discussing their candidacy once the Republican nominee is determined.”

Maybe Bill ment Bush 43 LOL

Many people have tried to go to hillary.com and have a "conversation". Unfortunately there is no conversation on that site. Always there are only 3 or 4 threads in a day ,one of the threads almost always by Poll spin master Mark Penn and they generate very few and surprise, only friendly responses. No room for dissent or critisism. I don't know why people have to wonder what a Hillary presidency will be like . All you need to do is check her web. The message is tightly controlled and pre-polled and the scant "response" that they receive is only the echo of what they like to hear for themselves and not a real discussion about issues.

This is in a drastic contrast with Obama's site where flourishing participation is in display with a whole range of opinions not always flattering but there is so much activity they have to provide so many threads every day. The campaign sets a tone of positive conversation rather than plant a pseudo story of that "kindergarten" stuff the Hillary campaign put on the web.
The military didn't trust her and her husband in the 90's and they certainly won't trust her now. No matter what she says she did for them, which probably isn't true anyhow.
COME SE WHT HILLARY IS #1 hillaryclinton.com
With no more debates to make herself look stupid aND INEPT, Hitlery prods on. Now Bill says George Bush Sr. will help her give credibility to the usa LMAO
This new found love of bipatarnship is ironic given that Senator Clinton has been going around for months telling people how she ready to fight Republicans.  So what is it?  Do you want to fight them or listen to them?  Or is this just another poll-driven strategy where she sees how people are tired of partisan wrangling and now she wants to say she is for ending it as well.
Speaking of Bipartisanship, everyone know about that "Ex-Presidents Tour" Bill was planning as Hillary's first action as President?  Well Bush Sr. shot it down.  Ironic that she's bringing up bipartisan ship when she can't even bring ex-presidents together...

That sure must be embarassing for the Clintons!  I've been waiting for Elder Bush to shoot down this idea ever since I first saw Clinton suggest it!  How is it, exactly, that Hillary plans on working across party lines when even an ex-President shoots her down?

Oh, and I remember the reason Bill said health care failed: "Republicans were in a vote against [Bill]" phase.  Well guess what, Republicans HATE Hillary, too!

How about we elect a President who WON'T inspire the worst in people, who WON'T encourage partisan bickering?

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2007/12/18/elder-bush-nixes-clinton-trip-idea/

Bill the freaking liar strikes again. If you wife ends up in the white house I hope every Republican circles the globe stabbing her in the back to pay you two back.
Word on the street in Iowa, is that Hillary will win the state. hillaryclinton.com ..come see why
He "disgusted" go ---- your self and have a nice day.
the NYTImes republican pundit, david brooks , admits he wants obama as the nominee.

easier to beat, ya know.

todays NYTimes.

and paul krugman nailed barak and his playing footsie with corporations.

vote obama! vote for corporate power
This election is going to hang on electabolity and its HRC who is the most electable dem.  Edwards doesn't have a leg to stand on in his own central argument about corportate greed ($400 haircut anyone?), and the GOP will eat obama alive in the general.  Come on Dems...it's time to rally around Hillary if we really want the White House back.  As the saying goes, it takes a Clinton to clean up after a Bush!
I would hope that all of the candidates reach across the isle to the other side.  That doesn't seem to be happening this time around in the Senate.  There are something that the Republicans seem to be stopping.  Has Hillary made any calls to them to ask for comprimise?

How many sites do fact checking on all of these claims that the candidates make?  I would love to see all the mistakes that they make.
LOOKIE HERE, CHELSE HERE IT IS AGAIN..................hillaryclinton.com
" cause those Republicans, they HATE supporting men and women who serve this country!"

No - they hate BEING the men and women who serve this country - got lip service for tham all day long. (No sarcasm whatsoever for you FOX SPEWS types.)
>> Count Bush 41 out...Bill does it again FOOT IN MOUTH:

The Clinton's need some serious medical care. It used to be that they would have a smidge of truth when ever they told their lies. Now, nothing matters any more. What ever sounds good at the moment, just let it rip. Pretty soon they'll be saying that the Pope is flying the Hill-a-copter and the Dalai Lama makes them breakfest in bed.
Senator Clinton can be bipartisan?  You have got to be kidding me!  Whatever, the true believers of Senator Clinton will believe anything and there is no changing thier minds (they don't let little things like facts and history color thier thinking).

I was going to go into a long list of examples of her not being bipartisan but what is the point, folks will believe what they will.  If you see this article for the joke that it is then good for you, and if you actually think this proves how bipartisan Senator Clinton is... well good for you as well.
Waaah waaah waaaah, I'm Sierra and the rest of the Obamites, I'm now just gonna complain because the media is covering Hillary. Boo hoo, it's so saddening that my candidates complete charisma alongside his shallow AND uneven voting and lack of vote casting records can't generate consistent poll numbers and we just can't stand that ugly Hillary.

Boo!

How, again, exactly, is America this wonderful symbol still? People around the world hate us, and our true ELECTED PRESIDENT Al Gore even blasts us on international airtime. Yeah GHW way to stand up for your inept smirking chimp of a son... but we all know he's nothing more than a coked up cowboy with a humongous inferiority complex. It's not like your presidency was actually successful or memorable either.
