Does Romney believe in the Trinity?  If he does not believe in a basic Biblical value such as this, then where does he stand for the last five years on many core values that Christians hold dear?

Mitt's money, boots on the ground and strategic planning, and money, will gain him victory in Iowa and NH and then the nomination. He promised the people of MA collectively and individually in some cases that he would defend a woman's right to abortion, that he supported gun control, and that he would be an active advocate of gay rights. Now he is promising to defend the exact opposite. If anyone wants to believe Romney now, God help this nation. A frighteningly soulless flipfloppin' chameleon who is only concerned with his wealthy buddies, his coreligionists, and the conservatives and evangelicals he is pandering to and making promises to. He is crass and self serving, and cares very little for ordinary people. I wouldn't trust Mitt Romney as far as I can through him. A wealthy, snooty weasel.

I don’t care if Mitt Romney has changed his mind. If that helped him to graduate 'Suma Cum Laude' from Harvard, solve the 2002 Olympics problem, fix Massachussetes healthcare and reform it’s taxes, then it sounds like whatever he’s doing is working. If he’s fixed everything he’s touched before, then I can only expect that he has the best shot at fixing the problems in Washington as President. If people are so shallow to vote for a guy because he has great one-liners about Jesus, and likes to go hunting, then we're in some serious trouble as a nation.

You can joke how you want, but these ads work. They are well crafted, not coming off as attack ads. It is funny too because they are generally on issues where Romney has lived up to what he says.

I can name random names by the hundreds of thousands who listen to nothing Romney has to say... doesn't even begin to count all of the people who are actually interested in politics who don't listen to him either, in reference to Aaron's question as to who doesn't support Romney. And as far as Romney changing his mind on an issue, since when is it wrong to change course? Doesn't America need to change course now? Don't we need someone who can work through the issues and come up with practical solutions to big problems. That's not flip-flopping, that's responsibility and true leadership. Something we have been sorely lacking. Of course if want to keep the status quo in Washington then by all means, vote for the next guy.

As was stated above, the definition means to have two different stances on an issue while saying that your position has not changed. That was NOT what Romney did when it comes to abortion. He readily acknowledges that there was a difference. This was not political expediency, but him working through a tough issue. Frankly I wish more people had his change of heart.

In response to your question about the "Trinity," Romney claims he believes in God, Jesus and the Bible. As with other things Romney has claimed, as long as he believes what he says, it must be true--or if LDS prophet/s, Brethren, or scriptures say it, it must be believed (by LDS).

LDS have assumed many names/words/phrases from the Bible, Judaism, Christianity, with absolutely different meanings. LDS teach the "Trinity" is 3 separate and distinct gods. LDS are POLYTHEISTS, believing there are many gods (eg Abraham 4, [LDS]Pearl of Great Price).

THE LDS-God is "MAN" of flesh and bones, as tangible as any man's, with many wives--and LDS men may become gods (eg Moses 6:57, 7:35; LDS Doctrine and Covenants 130:22; 132).

Hands down Romney is the best chance the republicans have at a run for the whitehouse this election.  I don't think anybody is fooling themselves with visions of Huckabee in the whitehouse.  US voters would sooner elect chelsea clinton than a candidate who uses chuck norris as his primary foreign policy.  

I knew Romney when I was a professor at Harvard - the man is absolutely brilliant and has the highest integrity. To me the most ignorant and dishonest are those who refuse to change their minds when they are confronted with new evidence that shows their previous opinion was in errors. Romney has the guts, humility and integrity to admit his previous views were wrong. As a Massachusetts resident, who had the misfortune to live in Mass during Mitt Romney's administration, I feel compelled to comment. Let's leave the "Flip Flop" phrase out of it. I understand that there is integrity in reassessing one's opinions and changing them if new evidence is found, but Romney has changed his stance on abortion and gay rights simply to pander to the GOP in order to be electible. Mitt Romney will change ANY opinion in order to be more attractive to the conservative Republican base in order to be elected. He wants the presidency at any cost, including selling his integrity out. Additionally, he did not in fact cut taxes in Massachusetts, and his idea of health care reform is ineffective and unfair. As of Jan 1st, in MA, if you cannot AFFORD health care, you will be fined. Not only will you be uninsured, you will also faced with financial penalties. I don't see how this will help anyone who is too poor to afford health insurance in the first place. Mitt Romney is an exceptionally poor choice for president of this country, and as a person who has lived with his administration in Mass, I strongly urge people to look at his record, see that he does not stick to ANYTHING he says in the long term, or if it will threaten his position of power. Think twice, please.

Mick, it's too bad you have to resort to bashing to try to sway voters decisions on Mitt Romney.  You must be pretty insecure to have to spend so much time "exposing" LDS doctrine, which in fact, will likely have the opposite effect of what you're trying to accomplish.

At least Romney's adverts are factually based and truthful.  Although, I think they need more verve and sting, and to be harsher, especially with respect to the Hick-he-be's demonstrated and incomparable ignorance with respect to foreign matters, as well as a plethora of other important issues, by use of his own filmed and recorded statements.  Religious beliefs have not bearing whatsoever; so it is a tragedy that the Hick-he-be seems supported by the fundamentalist groups solely because of their separate pathologies, misapprehensions, biases, and assorted prejudices, which simpleminded, wide-eyed groups the Hick-he-be plays like a street revival drum.  Are the Hick-he-be's amusingly uninformed proponents actually attempting to persuade this readership that their candidate, who is laughably educated and thus semiliterate, as well as woefully and dangerously inexperienced, could even find Pakistan, or any other foreign country or state of our union, on a map?  Certainly they cannot expect to convince the sophisticated voter the Hick-he-be is even remotely an intelligent, informed, viable and electable candidate, or yet a true paradigm of a Republican or Conservative candidate, except in the minds of these same self-deluded “rabble in the street” and their brethren, the “great unwashed,” using here Thomas Jefferson’s apt terms.  Or have you not read about his many egregious gaffes during this ongoing campaign?  Let’s remind you of but a few: He did not know that the state of emergency had been lifted in Pakistan for more than two weeks when asked about the situation there; he insultingly continues to defend his indefensible position on quarantining Gays, with the imbecilic and disproved explanation that current science at time of his suggestion did not know how AIDS was spread, when those facts had been known for more than ten years and were then widely disseminated; with respect to Bhutto’s assassination, he was asked a throwaway question by the press concerning his reaction, and not only did he not answer that question, he incoherently declaimed instead on his fantastic and silly idea that the whole of our enormous illegal immigration problem is due to an illegal influx of Pakistanis (never mentioning millions of our illegal Hispanics); here is a person running for a presidential nomination who doesn't even know what an NIE report is, the nature of its contents, or its import when asked; who, while governor of a fourth-rate state, which after his tenure continues to have the lowest academic standing for state schools in the US entire; inappropriately spent state funds intended for statehouse operation for the household expenses, personal clothing and fast food outings incurred by him and his family members; was censured for serious ethics violations more times than his HillBillery predecessor; who blithely and mindlessly freed tens of killers and rapists to once again kill and rape by recklessly pardoning and commuting their sentences during his watch; is a complete dullard, who preaches the inerrancy of the Protestant (don’t forget he has intentionally, knowingly aligned himself with a nationally known anti-Catholic from San Antonio, Texas) bible and stupidly disputes the fact that evolution is demonstrable and proven science, instead personally preferring the idiocy of creationism, and touts to all this nonsense as the actual version of events, and that being a dogma needful of being taught to your schoolchildren, with or without your approval; etc.  Conversely, none of Romney’s alleged misstatements during this campaign or some decision taken while governor resulted in the death or rape of anyone.  Romney is highly educated, exceptionally experienced regards both domestic and international affairs and issues, unlike all other candidates.  He is a very successful businessman and an honest, family-oriented, sincere, and hardworking man.  These attributes set him well apart from his competition in both parties.  He is trustworthy, results-oriented, and immediately capable of performing all presidential duties from his first day in office.  He can definitely win this nomination and is the man to win the 2008 national election, which none of the other Republicans could come close to doing.  If your true intention, however, is to have Obama or the ever mendacious and wholly inexperienced HillBillery win the nomination and perhaps the 2008 election, then the fraudulent and proudly ignorant Hick-he-be or the elderly McCain should be your top choices, although either of these selections will ineluctably guarantee a Democrat in the White House, for at least four years.

It really saddens me to see these "cut and pasted" anti-Mormon propaganda pieces aimed at tainting the image of another. I was raised to believe these twisted, taken out of context part truths about the Mormons. I went as far as to pass out the same pamphlets at a Mormon Temple once. I was 18 and went as part of a youth activity with my Presbyterian church youth group. I will never forget the uncomfortable feelings I had that night being part of hurting my neighbor. later as we toured their undedicated building, I felt something very different about these "Mormons" than what I had been taught that I aught to feel. I felt goodness and peace.
I decided to ask them what they believed and learned first hand. 23 years later, I am a very happy wife with wonderful children that I strive daily to teach  the gospel of Jesus Christ to.

No. They do in fact state many facts. But taken very much out of context, twisted just so to sound scary and blasphemous and weird.

I think Romney is the smartest candidate out there.  This country needs someone who can run this country like a business and is interested in seeing the entire company proser.  I am tired of the career politicians who aren't looking after the company but only after their own interests.  BTW, when is the issue of education going to be addressed?  

It will be the radical evangelicals that will do their version of their "Christian best" to do Romney in tho.  Do these so called Christians understand the commandment about not bearing false witness?  (Eespecially while thumping a bible...) I can't bleieve, well actually I am sickened by, the amount of lies being put out there about Mormons.  

One more thought about flip flopping.  I supppose more than half the country wishes Pres. Bush would have changed his views on Iraq and Afghanistan after receiving more detailed knowledge of what was going on but he kept barrelling on head strong into where we are today...  Mitt Romney, on the other hand has stated long befor he was running for President why he changed his decisions on public policy for abortion and he is getting blasted for it.  We don't need another President who insists that a flat pancake only has 1 side.

Mick, I read one of your posts a few days ago. It made me sad to see your religious bigotry presented in a political forum. Then I read your post above. I hope that whoever moderates these posts will take notice of your hate. This is not the place.

Mick, your post has little to do with debating Romney and more so with tearing down his religion. Of the religions I'm familiar with, most have "eye-brow raising pasts", and some are "interesting" in their present form - mormonism is no different. Several of your comments on the mormon religion are short exerpts that do not appear in context. Who can tell the truth with that? It reads like you are anti-mormon. If a person's religion really was important for running this country then I would suspect that many of us would be investigating the religious and personal practices of all candidates, not just the mormon one. Because some have chosen to do so, it speaks to the religous bigotry of this country.

I did look up the word bigot as you suggested. In my 1995 Webster's New American Dictionary it says, "one intolerantly devoted to his or her own prejudices or opinions synonym-fanatic, enthusiast, zealot.
That is definately you. You've spent an incredible amount of time tearing down the mormon religion. Having studied it, I know you share many half-truths and for that matter, flat out lies! Several of your cited "sources" are not even LDS canonized scripture, and several of the supposed "teachings" don't exist - they are mere lies and fabrications.

To understand the LDS trinity difference in belief one only need to look at the Nicene Creed versions written around 300-400 AD. This is where the traditional Christian belief comes from regarding the Trinity - 3 beings (God, Jesus, & Holy Ghost) acting as three separately, but one God or presence. The mormons contend this is false, that God, Jesus & Holy Ghost are distinct and separate beings, but functioning towards one main goal - saving us. The Nicene Creed is not scripture. It is the interpretation of scripture begun in 300 or so and sculpted over time. There are different versions that exist, just look at the Catholic and Eastern Orthodox for an example. The argument the LDS make is how can God the Father speak to Jesus Christ the Son while being baptized and the Holy Ghost descend in the form of a dove - i.e. three distinct beings functioning at the same time, but really only one being. It does not make logical sense. They have an interesting point. Anyway, that is what I learned in my Lutheran schooling.

So Mick, don't pretend to debate political issues when it is clear you are tearing down a religion. It is not Christian like. Jesus told us to love everyone, even our enemies. Why else would he have taught the parable of the Good Samaritan. If you were truly a Christian, you would not seek to tear down. In the end, Galatians 5:22 sums it up the best - By their fruits ye shall know them.

Romney is done- Iowa is no flip flop place. Huck is the  guy we can actually trust to be commander in Chief.

I encourage all who caucus and vote for the Republican nominee to read this MSNBC 'blog.'.....

You characterize Mr. Romney's statements of fact about Mr. Huckabee as: "attacking", "lambastes" and 'swipe".  If you were 'Honestly' resporting...you would write, Romney stated some unrefutable facts about Huckabee's past history! This not an ATTACK AD!

Note: Huckabee has not denied Romney's statements but rather has implied Romney is a liar and called Romney 'untrustworthy'.  Who is the dishonest man? Are you supporting Huckabee's ethics?

This is what's happening to YOUR house. All the 'money' and 'equity' you thought you had saved - eliminated! The equity through falling house prices - and the money because we are DEBASING OUR CURRENCY. That low fed rate you're reading about gets created by printing money  and lending it to people. With more money, the money YOU have is worth LESS. So your money is worth less and your property is worth less - where can you turn to keep ahead of inflation? I think  you BETTER turn to Dr. Paul. He's the ONLY one running that has a HOPE of being able to deal with this.
