Huck's day gets even stranger

Posted: Monday, December 31, 2007 4:44 PM by Mark Murray

From NBC/NJ's Adam Aigner-Treworgy
DES MOINES, IA -- As if Huckabee's day wasn't strange enough, immediately following his anti-attack-ad news conference, a scheduled trip to his campaign headquarters here was disrupted by dual demonstrations that prevented the candidate from entering the building. The ordeal ended with three arrests and a mob of confused journalists forced to find another way inside the building.

Paul's Iowa campaign offices are directly adjacent to Huckabee's, and as journalists arrived to cover what was supposed to be an innocent photo opportunity of Huckabee greeting some campaign volunteers, they were surprised to find dozens of Paul supporters crowding the sidewalks chanting, "Ron Paul revolution, legalized the Constitution."

Simultaneously, an unrelated group of local anti-war activists surrounded the entrance to Huckabee's headquarters, while three members of the group staged a sit-in of sorts in the office lobby. The police were already on the scene when most of the media arrived, but the dueling demonstrations -- combined with a multitude of TV cameras -- presented a formidable entryway when the governor's campaign bus pulled in across the street.

The bus remained parked across from the campaign office for 10-15 minutes as the demonstrators shouted for the governor to come out and address their concerns -- which for the anti-war group meant answering the question, "Who would Jesus bomb?"

Finally, the bus pulled away and turned around the corner, after which the police led the three trespassers out of the campaign's office and into a paddy wagon parked in the street. The leader of the anti-war protest –- whom local journalists say is a former priest who is now a regular inmate at the local police station due to his disruptive activism -- lauded the three arrestees as heroes.

As the commotion began to die down, Huckabee slipped in through a side door and several members of the traveling press corps who had been following him for weeks were invited to watch as the governor met with several volunteers on the office's second floor. Soon the small group of media ballooned as a stream of camera crews found their way upstairs and invaded the meet and greet.

At this point, wife Janet Huckabee was heard to say, "I thought this was supposed to be a private meeting." Well, if portions of the event were supposed to be private, that didn't last long. Soon the media nearly equaled the number of volunteers on the office's second floor. The protests died down outside, and members of the press were allowed to mingle with volunteers as Huckabee conducted interviews with several local news outlets. But following his appearance on three morning shows this morning, a run-turned media circus, an unconventional press conference and a mob of demonstrators blocking the entrance to his headquarters, maybe the New Year couldn't come soon enough for Mike Huckabee.

Huckleberry is a huge dush bag what an idiot.  I have this add but Im not going to play it on tv so lets watch my stupid comercial.  Oh crap I cant even get the sound to work.  How is this guy to run our country if he cant even run his computer.  What a dush bag.
Dush bag? Add?
huckabee?  More like Huckabeen... BOOSH!
At least someone at MSNBC can file an actual 'who what and where' story.  Reporters at still surprised to find dozen of RP supporters at competing events?  Now, why is that?
Haha..good for him. I feel so bad because he had a bad day. I'm sure all the people and children affected by the "War on Terror" have had a few bad days themselves.
What a sneaky, clueless move.

Huckabee just broke the first rule of politics: If you're gonna be an ass, don't get caught wearing the ears.

Huckabee's lead is vaporating for one good and simple reason: He's too simple to be good.
Both Huckabee and Romney should not be discussing their religious views as being a Christian does not correlate with the ability to perform effectively in local, state, or the federal government. These candidates or any candidate must remember that freedom of religion is one of the basic premises of this country and that means one does not have to believe in God or Jesus. Period. I will not base my vote on a person's religious or non-religious affliation, gender, or race. My hope is that one day, all presidental campaigns will be limited to a much smaller amount of money so that ordinary American citizens with moderate incomes just might be able ro run for office. In the meantime, I will be proud to cast my vote in the California primary for Hilary Clinton. I am watching the Iowa primary with anticipation as I am from Iowa.
Maybe Mike Huckabeen can find Osama Been Missing.
Huckawho? Or so we will be saying within a few weeks.  I'm a Christian, I have some bible verses memorized, I'm hollier than you... But please - don't anyone look at my record.  Yeah I like rapists, murderers more than most politicians, Yeah I said I'm ok with taxes, Yeah I like illegal immegration - but forget about that - I'm the Christian leader... Huckawho?
Sutpid behavior and stupit comments are made by stupid people who don't have any type of respect and honor toward anyting!! You can tell by their comments that they are miserable!  Huckabee is going to be our next President!!! That is a fact!!
You can't hide from US Paulites!
We are everywhere you DONT want us to be!!

RON PAUL RON PAUL!!!!
MSNBC YOU need to give a RETRACTION ON AIR! ON AIR you claimed Ron Paul supporters were arrested! THIS IS A LIE! They were having a RALLY in FRONT of there own HEAD QUARTERS! They were not arrested and there was no reason why they would be! RETRACT ON AIR NOW!
Well??? WHO WOULD Jesus bomb?

Inquiring minds would like to know....
Well Mr, Huckabee, welcome to the world of dirty tricks.
You enemies did a good job this time, did they not?

The message I liked best is the one about "wearing the ears," I agree and I couldn't say it better myself.
Ron Paul idiots need to worry more about that other clown Romney trying to lie, cheat, and steal his way into winning the nomination.
Huckabee seems to be the only good Republican candidate
My friends, I am from Arkansas.  First of all, you do NOT want Gov. Huckleberry as president.  He has a mean streak as Mitt Romeo is finding out.  And he does it with a straight face too.  The way them protesters did today around Huckaberry?  That is really the only way to treat Gov. Huckleberry.  Keep him scurrying around corners and sneaking in side doors.  He is an expert at that.  Haha...I love it.  Go Ron Paul Go!!!!
Mitt Romney Flip Flopping!
This guy will do anything for a vote....

Last week, Bay Windows, a Boston gay newspaper, reprinted excerpts from a letter Romney wrote to the Log Cabin Republicans in 1994, hoping to gain the group’s support in his campaign against the veteran Democratic lawmaker and Massachusetts institution.

“If we are to achieve the goals we share, we must make equality for gays and lesbians a mainstream concern,” Romney wrote. “My opponent cannot do this. I can and will.”

Romney lost that race by a wide margin, but came closer to defeating Kennedy than had any previous challenger in recent memory. Romney’s support for the gay community did not end with his loss, however, as his political aspirations dictated otherwise. At the Boston Gay Pride Parade in 2002, when he ran for governor, he and his running mate Kerry Healey distributed pink fliers stating, “Mitt and Kerry wish you a great Pride weekend.”

I still think it was all bought and paid for by flip flop phony mitt. He's scumbag enough to do it.
I still can't quite understand how someone can be pro life and pro war at the same time. I guess it's ok as long as some one else is doing the dieing. Evidently they want to make sure they are born so they can grow up and continue to fight for their crusade.
One thing you all should watch out for with Mike Huckabee, he provided in-state tuition for illegal aliens and still stands by his decision to do so today, even while the country is screaming to Washington to get rid of them.  He obviously thinks he knows better than the american people and will ignore the cries of the american people just like Bush has.  If Huckabee wins the presidency, he will no doubt make his policy of "in-state tuition for illegal aliens", a federal policy.  Just imagine how much it will cost america if illegals all across the land will receive free in-state tuition, even if it is just for the illegals who have an excellent grade point average.  American students would still have to pay for it, even those with excellent grade point averages.  If Huckabee wins, he will definitely do it because he will see his win as a confirmation by the american people that they agree with him!
Delightful day! Huckabubble's fast and loose self-rationalizing has beautifully given ground to irrational, crazy-making U-turns, BS, and more Elmer Gantry-calibre posing. If this man can't handle a campaign, can anyone really want his finger on the button? His predisposition for rash comments, knee jerk reactions, and extemperaneous rationalizations of off-the-cuff and frequently bigoted comments disqualify him from any position of national or international responsibility.  We need four years of Huckajihad like we need a whole in the head. He's just a GBII with bon mots.
um, Janet? If you want to have a private meeting don't invite all the broadcast news media over.

I know your husband probably has a weird notion of what privacy means, but by definition, things that are put on national television are not private.
Mr. Huckabee , has more class in his little finger then all of you put together.......We should be so lucky to have a man like him as our President ......You should be ashamed of yourself....You go Mr.Huckabee I'm all for you.... You are a good man......Fran in Fl.

MIKE HUCKABEE IS MAD BECAUSE IT IS TRUE..

The so-called "Negative Ads" are not "Negative" they are contrast ads that state factual information about Huckabees record as the governor of Arkansas.

All of the contrast statements in the ads include the source of each of the statements.

Instead of addressing the statements about his record Mike Huckabee resorts to name calling.

MIKE HUCKABEE A FISCAL CONSERVATIVE

FACT: Mike Huckabee's substantial tax hikes far surpassed his modest tax cuts, with the average tax burden increasing by a whopping 47% over his tenure. (Source: Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, 10/09/07)

FACT: Mike Huckabee raised more taxes in 10 years in office than Bill Clinton did in his 12 years.

Hmmm, seems like the Huckleberrey Hound got hounded, that happens when ye'r a politician, better get used to it.
I would say Mitt is the only fully honest one in the campain.  His adds are acurate contrasts not dirty tricks.  Hucks little, I have an ad but  I don't want to show it because I won't stoop to Mitts level but here, all you reporters can take a gander", now that is a dirty trick.  What he is really saying, is that I want the whole world to know I want to swing back but I don't have the money so please show my ad for free, but since I'm not paying for it, I'm not mean.

You know what Mike, its not our fault your broke.  And its not our fault your not smart enough to hang with the big dogs.  Your supposed to be an ordained minister for crying out loud.  How about we stop all the lying!

Go Mitt!
Ron Paul and Mike Huckabee would form a good team. They get along pretty well, on a personal level. Wonder if their supporters would like to hear this too.
Mormons are a Cult!
Please Google this scripture and Read for yourself, what Brigham Young said about blood atonement.

Mormons belive that when Christ died on the cross that it was not enough. And that you had to have Blood Atonement, I belive this comes from the Pitt of Hell!

Brigham Young Blood Atonement Sermon:
Journal of Discourses
Vol. 4, p. 215-221

and suppose that he is overtaken in a gross fault, that he has committed a sin that he knows will deprive him of that exaltation which he desires, and that he cannot attain to it without the shedding of his blood, and also knows that by having his blood shed he will atone for that sin, and be saved and exalted with the Gods, is there a man or woman in this house but what would say, "shed my blood that I may be saved and exalted with the Gods?"

You Ron Paul supporters present yourselves so righteous. You are all so gullible.

Ron Paul-Con'd Y'all
USA cannot survive another fundamentalist Bible thumper in the White House.  Right away we know fundamentalist Huckabee has a luke warm IQ. He does not understand evolution so his education stopped before high school. He is duplicitous regarding TV ads so he has no integrity. Huckabee is a dangerous man.
Here's what REALLY happened:

Huckabee couldn't AFFORD to air his negative ad, so he came up with a very savvy scheme to get it aired for free. He simply told the media that he was done doing negative ads (yeah...in Iowa... 4 days before the caucuses) but of course, he played it for them KNOWING they would air it for him. And it didn't cost him a dime.

Why is the media riding Huckabee around in a chariot? Those paying attention know that his "surge" followed a completely unexplained "surge" in free media coverage. He did nothing to earn it and was largley ignored. Then suddenly, one day, the media was non-stop Huckster.

The media is NOT going to get away with this crap, THAT I can promise you.
Pro-illegal alien, pro-big government spending, shaky ethics.  Huckster is Jorge W. Bush's favorite clone.

RON PAUL FOR PRESIDENT!
We NEED an impartial media, folks. We will never have fair elections again if we continue to allow the media to manipulate.

A Ron Paul supporter paid for a FULL PAGE ad out of his own pocket in New Hampshire ($85K) and had the deal all sealed, and they didn't print the ad. Of course they say it was "just a mistake." Really? You expect people to believe this anymore?

The media has called all out war on the citizens of America. It isn't just Ron Paul, folks. They are BLATANTLY manipulating facts, mis-reporting, changing history and spinning.

Their activities are un-American.

Again, until we have an impartial media, we will NEVER have fair elections. They are enemey #1 in my opinion.
So the new theme for Huckabee is Romney has sold his evil Mormon soul to Jesus's brother the devil? And he being above that , and presumably a sanctified  holy man,  will "not sell his soul to gain the whole world". Thanks for that Huckabee it's been about a half hour since you made me gag.
"I would say Mitt is the only fully honest one in the campain (sic)."

Pull your head out of the sand, Brent! Even McCain said that Ron Paul is the most honest politician in Washington; that was prior to being pitted against him though. If any of Paul's opponents were trustworthy and/or honest, they'd be saying the same thing, still.

GO RON PAUL, GO! He WILL be our next president.
You know,  How about we go back to when the politicians were just regular people and that they didn't get paid the big bucks and didn't have such lavish campaigns.  It would be a lot nicer world.  THen we wouldn't have the bickering we have now.  cry all you want and maybe someone will listen.  Thats the message they send.  How about loose the election because you were actual firm in your convictions.  I would vote for the guy who stood by his beleifs and that stood by mine.
huckabee and romney are political stooges at best. these 2 duplicitious donkeys could give a rats dropping about the American citizen. I doubt if they're even christians. Just an act to bait the gullible into believe these war-mongers who would kill more american sons and daughters as well as Iraqui and afghan children in the name of jesus. What a joke!!!
Ron Paul is the only candidate that brings honesty, authenticity, and integrity to the presidential race.  People are sick-and-tired of politics as usual -- and Ron Paul is making fools out of all of them.

See this hilarious YouTube music video, from the new international award-winning feature film, "Song of the Dead" -- a zombie musical, but also a political satire on the president, the MSM, and the war on terror.  Horror movie veteran, Reggie Bannister (Phantasm, Wishmaster, Bubba Ho-tep) plays the president.  The filmmaker, Chip Gubera, is giving a share of his profits for this anti-war satire to the Ron Paul campaign.  See: http://youtube.com/watch?v=qQmkkoxSKYw

That's part of why I like him! Liberal economic policy, no anti-amnesty policy, and still a champion of morals. The only Republican I might vote for at this point.
In all fairness…Ron Paul has most likely the Highest IQ and best message out of any Candidate…regardless of Party and should be given a fair shot. I am a Independent and all I ask is Don't give me 2 Dumbasses to pick from. I like Ron Paul!!
Ron Paul is the biggest idiot I have ever seen. He bumbles through interviews using made up data and a 2 year olds view of the world. How do people take him seriously?
TaxhikeMike is a war monger. Ron Paul is in favor of peace and trade. Getting rid of the irs is something that Ron Paul wants to do. Register republican and vote Ron Paul for peace and freedom.
TaxhikeMike and flip Romney will be politics as usual. Ron Paul will stop the war now. Register republican and vote Ron Paul in the primarys to stop this war.
Ron Paul is the only presidential candidate that I would trust with my money and my family's safety.

I Vote For Virtue; I Vote For Ron Paul !!!
There's no crying in baseball or in politics! Mike! Stop! Stop crying! Answer the ads with clear information on how you do or do not agree with the conclusions of the ads! Then simply state why you disagree! Don’t ever call anyone dishonest!
However, if your position are stated corrected, then own it! If that is your position, then that is your position! We as the American voters have a right to know exactly what every candidate's position is on every relevant issue. Mike if no in your campaign is letting you know, this is what you sounding like today! “I'm melting, I'm melting!”
Here's is what you must do to save yourself from looking like Ross Perot!
1. Admit you are under funded!
2. Agree to back the eventual winner of the Republican primary election!
3. Stop calling anyone dishonest. If a person is dishonest, the voters are intelligent enough to see it. We don't need you to point it out to us.
4. If you disagree with the statement, simply share you point of view. Remember, there is another election in 4-years and if you don't win this one , then if you are not going to be underfunded next time around you need to act civil and you need to stand up like a man! There’s no crying in baseball, or politics!
Why is Huckawho even in the news when Dr. Paul is about to break $20,000,000 in 4th quarter fundraising?
Huckabee will be a great christian leader.  He will wipe the muslims off the face of this earth and the inheriters will reign in peace.  You atheists and anti-christians have no idea the war we face, it started long ago and will never end.  Get used to it!
