I saw him tell Ryan Seacrest on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve that he's not running so I believe it. You don't lie on a Dick Clark branded event and remain politically viable, do you?

I don't agree with Bloomberg on everything, but he is right on this one. Our choices right now really do suck.

An independent bid from Bloomberg with someone like Sam Nunn would be great. It would definitely be better than having a knucklehead like Perot or Nadar just siphoning votes from one side or the other. They would have the ability to grab independents and moderates from both sides. Even if they don't win they would force a higher level of discussion next summer and fall.

If we get stuck with Mitt, Rudy, Billary or Edwards as our choices by spring I'll be glad to look elsewhere.

Interesting that he stayed away from any comments that could be seen as critical of Obama. Something tells me his group is going to go to bat for Obama once he wins more primaries.
