If Obama wins the dems vote. Then the Republicans are sure to win in NOV (not even an option)
Thank you, Iowa!
How can we draw any inferences to the campaign of any Democratice candidates when 70% of the precincts only amounts to 1600 voters. The Republican caucuses have 45,000 voters - certainly enough to make some judgements. I find it hard to extrapolate the success of any candidates campaign on the basis of so little input.
THANK YOU, IOWA!!!  Obama is my generation's Kennedy!!!

(It's going to be an Obama v. McCain match-up come November.)
Looks like the DMR poll came through again.  Fantastic stuff!  History has been made tonight!  Now watch the dominos start to fall, New Hampshire, South Carolina, Nevada and so on!

Obama '08!

(and she loves us)

Who's the 'front runner' now ?
Who's the most 'electable' ?

This is the buzz Obama needs for New Hampshire

Five days and counting

If he wins NH and SC it's 'three strikes and your out' for Slick Hillary !

70% of caucus go-ers voted AGAINST HILLARY !!

Who's 'inevitable' ?

J Merle, who's your daddy ?

        [;-D

GB--you aren't paying attention.  Obama has the best chance of winning in the general election.  Polls show him beating each of the Republican contenders--the only Dem to do that.
lol, Dee you need to understand the caucus, its 1600 delegates not 1600 voters
Dee, where are you getting your numbers?  The overall caucus numbers are being reported in excess of 200,000.  Do the math.

Obama is going to shake the heavens come November.
I am soooooooo excited for Senator Obama! All his hard work paid off! :)
Thank you Iowa.  The rest of America is beholding to you. Now on to NH. Thank you Iowa, again thank you.  Tonight history has been made.  I have never been prouder to be an American.
Obama '08
Change We Can Beleive In.

Barack Obama, the next PRESIDENT OT THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
I AM A HUCKABEE SUPPORTER BUT I WANT TO CONGRADLATE OBAMA, MY CHOICE AS A DEMOCRAT.
To GB above,
^^^
The dynamics of the caucus will be dissected tommorrow but if it is true that Obama brought in a good portion of republicans and indys, then I beg to disagree with you.
There is no way we are going to win with just democrats...which is what u get with HRC. Only JRE and Obama bring anything apart from dems to the table.
Even if Obama loses the nomination, he already has a legacy that will shine on forever...when last did anyone bring repubs and indies to the party the way the results tonight appear to indicate.
And my last word is: ALL HAILL ANN SELZER AND THE DMR POLL.
I agree, Jeff, that Obama has the best shot in the general election. But not because of the polls. I think those polls this far out are pretty meaningless. But analytically, he's likable and he would enter without a reputation for being a partisan attack dog, nor lacking authenticity. He won't energize the GOP nearly as much as Clinton would. Plus we've already seen strong indication that independents will support him.
people get ready there is a train coming...

Don't need a ticket just get on board...

Obama 08
My preferences run Edwards, Obama, ...uh, i'd vote for Clinton if she were the nominee, reluctantly.  So I'm OK with Obama's win, but even happier to see Edwards edging Clinton for second spot.  Hang on, John.
is change possible?
TUCK!!! Where are you? Didn't you say on an earlier post that an Obama win wasn't real unless he won by 7 percentage points. Well, welcome to REALITYVILLE!!!
I agree, I such democrat but I will not vote in the election at all if Obama is th candidate.

Hang in Hillary
Edwards people, please listen, Obama needs you now.  John had his shot in Iowa and couldn't pull through.  Unless you want Hillary to win this thing, Obama needs you.

We all want change, and Hillary isn't going to bring it.  Join with us, let's bring it home!
Congratulations to Senator Obama and his supporters.
I predict a Hillary drop out after New Hampshire. Nobody (not even hard core Liberal Democrats) want aa return of Clinton Politics we suffered with in the 90's
Praise God!!! Obama won!!!!!  He drew young people, new voters, Republicans and Independents!!!!! It was great to watch on CSPAN and see the caucus in play.  He came out with 3 of the 6 delegates available.
I am so happy and excited!!!!!
I bet the Clinton Thugs wil start with the mud slinging tomorrow. With this win Obama needs to watch his back. Bad things happen to those that have crossed the Clintons
I think that Edwards and Clinton take votes away from each other.  It will be interesting when Edwards drops out.
Thank you Iowa. We do need some changes.
Well looks like we have our next President. Iowa is key to Obama and now that its his Republicans don't stand a chance!! Our country can go back to being respected!!
WTG Obama!!! Its high time we move forward and he is the man to do it for us!
In our precinct, it was Richardson #1, Edwards #2, and Obama/Clinton in a dead heat for a VERY distant 3rd.
Chris Matthews made agood point with Tom Brokaw, The Baby Boomer generation had there chance, and I think it's over. The Popularization of the Clinton,George W Bush and Newt Gingrich.

Barack Obama winning shows it's a new generations chance to lead.
Obama won! 2008 is a year of change and the white house is in need of one.
Iowa has done a fantastic job. This is exactly what democracy is about. They listened to all the candidates, they thought about it and they showed up. I'm pleased and a little surprised at the results but most of all I see our country beginning to set itself right.
Rick you are right on the point with that!!! Time for us 20 something 30 somethings to change this country!!
I am so excited......................Next is NH
I beleive; can you beleive!
PRESIDENT OBAMA!!!!!!!!
AR
NASSAU, BAHAMAS
Obama has done well so far. Viva Obama! vitoria acerta.
The next month is going to be good. I still like Hillary, just not for president.
Awesome, Mr.Obama! I saw you in Portland, ME months ago and have been waiting for this moment ever since -now on to NH. I hope those supporting less viable candidates will join us and throw their support to Barak.
Props to the Des Moines Register.  Their pollsters know what they are doing... predicted 7 point lead as well as the order.
Thanks to IOWA!!! I can feel the excitement and eagerness in the air! Positive energy is on its way to our country!!!Let the official votes begin!
Hey guys, I'm fifty something and I want change too.  Don't leave us baby boomers out of it.  We all need a better U.S. and a better world.
Obama '08
I feel a song in my heart again.  America will be all the founding fathers hope it would be.  My faith and pride in America is alive and well
Congratulations to Obama and Huckabee. Thank you, Iowans, for rejecting phoney politics. One step closer to a Giuliani/Clinton/Romney-free general election.
I feel a song in my heart again.  America will be all the founding fathers hope it would be.  My faith and pride in America is alive and well.

The best is required at this time and Obama is clearly the one.
i haven't been this excited about the pres. elections since kennedy. obama is a good man.we can see right through the mud slingin'!my prayers are with him.i am a white mid age woman. my husband and i agree.our country needs a change!
You poor Democrats. You're stepping right in front of a freight train. One of your own making.
Can we all please agree that Chris Matthews should at least show a little respect and call Hillary either Mrs. Clinton or Senator Clinton and NOT the President's wife?
THANK YOU IOWA!!!
Hurray!! OBAMA! Imagine, respect in the world again.
A person with a world view. YESSS!!! Oh, but to be proud to be an American again.
