What took so long?
Frankly, I'm disappointed that Biden is quitting the race. I understand the reality of the stats, but Biden's value, I believe, is underestimated by many.
Eventually, I'd like to see him swept up into the action again by the Democratic nominee. This is assuming that Mr. Biden would be willing to share his expertise with the country in this capacity. I respect his expertise and, yes, his years of experience.
If I was going to interview someone for a job, I'd sure as heck take experience into consideration.  The two most experienced people have now dropped out of the race.  On what Democrats and Republicans alike feel is a "foreign policy election", this is huge.  A  message to Democrats who always seem to vote from their hearts:  Everything can't be based on hopes and dreams, their important, don't get me wrong, but if you don't have a foundation in experience, those hopes and dreams will never come to fruition.

Both Biden and Dodd are important assets in Congress

I am sorry they lost, but they are needed in their
respective positions as heads of committees.
About time Dodd withdrew.  What in the world made him think he had a chance?

He is a good man... I guess.  Too bad his family had to live out in a place like Iowa for months while he ran.

Thank God Iowa is behind us!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm sick up to my eyeballs of hearing about that place and I think our election process needs to  change.

Iowa...first...WHY?   It should be on a rotating basis so all states get a chance to see the candidates up close and personal not just a bunch of pig and corn farmers out in the frozen midwest.

Always vote from their hearts?!  Don't respect experience?!

Tell that to John Kerry.  Tell that to Al Gore.
Both very experienced, and both lost.

Obama '08
Who's Dodd?
BWC brings up an interesting point.
If I were hiring a CEO for my family's business, the finalists would be: Obama, then Richardson, then maybe Biden or Dodd. I was turned off by Edwards on MTP when he danced around every question. And seriously, do I want my company to reflect what Mrs. Clinton is about. Enron, Tyco, WorldCom; all come to mind when I think about it.
Integrity counts for something and it combined with judgement will get you a helluva lot farther up the hill than your resume.
