MANCHESTER, NH -- Just when you thought there wouldn't be more debates this cycle, ABC/WMUR/Facebook host back-to-back Republican and Democratic ones here tonight. The GOP debate (featuring Giuliani, Huckabee, McCain, Romney, and Thompson) begins at 7:00 pm ET and ends at 8:30 pm ET, and it's followed immediately by the Dem one (Clinton, Edwards, Obama, and Richardson) that goes until 10:15 pm ET. They’re both moderated by ABC’s Charlie Gibson, with additional questions coming from WMUR’s Scott Spradling. The last time the Democrats and Republicans debated was more than three weeks ago, when they took part in those Des Moines Register snooze-fests. Because the DMR moderator didn't bother asking questions on matters in which the candidates actually disagreed, tonight's debate provides the opportunity to cover nearly two months worth of issues.

*** What to watch for: On the Democratic side, where does Hillary go after Obama? (On health care? The netroots' charge that he sometimes uses GOP talking points? Rezko?) Or does Edwards -- like he did in Philly -- actually do the dirty work on the front-runner? (On past lobbyist money? Trade?) On the GOP side, just how heated will McCain vs. Romney be? These guys don't like each other. Neither do Romney and Huck. And where are't thou, Rudy? Can he break through after being outside the story for the past month? Given the worries the Clinton folks apparently have with how voters may respond to negativity, we're guessing the Dem side could be tamer than the GOP debate where -- in the words of Huckabee's campaign chair Ed Rollins -- "nobody likes Romney." Forget Clinton, there's no candidate with more on the line today than Romney. He hasn't had a great debate performance yet, and he's never needed one more than now.

*** Where have all the negative ads gone? By the way, we didn't see one negative ad this morning on the local news. Not one from an outside group, nothing... In fact, Romney -- who had no problem with running contrast ads heading into the caucuses -- is now up with a new TV ad that emphasizes strength, growth, and prosperity. Are campaigns petrified to go negative with such a short time between now and Tuesday?

*** Did you know that Wyoming was awarding delegates today? It should be a big day for Romney because he will be the first candidate on either side to win actual convention delegates. The Wyoming GOP is holding its "conventions" (we assume they are like caucuses), which will award delegates today; Only Romney's spent real money here and the state has a 14% Mormon population so he had the advantage going in.

*** Dodd's farewell: Also today, Dodd -- who dropped out of the Dem race on Thursday night -- holds a press conference at noon in Connecticut to thank his family, friends, and supporters. We weren't able to write much yesterday about Dodd's and Biden's departures (mainly because there was too much else going on), but it's important to say this about both men: Their campaigns did nothing to blemish the respect and stature they hold. And that's something that can't always be said of presidential candidates. One other thing: If Obama goes on to win the Democratic nomination, he can in part thank Dodd. Without him jumping into the discussion on driver's licenses for illegal immigrants, the Philly debate would not have turned into the story it eventually became.

*** Just askin's: After the Des Moines Register invited him to its debate, did a single soul see Alan Keyes in Iowa last week? We sure didn't.... Also, where is Duncan Hunter? Is he still an official candidate? Now that he's not getting debate invites, does that end his bid? A Hunter spokesman emails First Read that Hunter has been campaigning non-stop in New Hampshire since December 28, and that he was in Wyoming earlier; his wife has been there since January 1.

*** On the trail: Elsewhere today, Clinton has already campaigned in Penacook and then heads to Durham; Edwards was in Portsmouth and goes to Concord and Lebanon; Giuliani hits a house party in Litchfield; Huckabee holds a “Huck & Chuck” rally in Londonderry with Chuck Norris; McCain attends a town hall in Peterborough; Obama, as of this writing, is having a rally in Nashua; Richardson was in in Hooksett and Concord; and Romney has already been to Derry and later visits Hampstead and Bedford.

I just hope that the media stops artificially propping up the Hillary campaign. She came in 3rd in Iowa but you guys continue to pretend that this is a two person race. You continue to ignore the 2nd place finisher. What is up with this? Do you cover the Olympics the same way -- ignore the silver medalist while giving massive coverage to the bronze medalists? Even non-Edwards supporters find what you are doing is really creepy. You better watch out because you're going to start to lose your viewers. If we can't trust you to fairly cover this election why should we trust you on anything else?
Here are a few excerpts from Barack Hussein Obama's Inauguration speech on 1-20-2009, My fellow Americans you forgot The CIA's description of "Sleeper Cells" and guess what you've all been fooled, I'am one of Osama Bin-Laden's Lieutenants and you idiots have elected me as your president. Therefore your property and life savings and sovernty is now the Worlds. Sorry, you should of paid better attention". You should of voted for Edwards or Hillary.

Romney could have begun to "emphasize growth, strength and prosperity" years ago--instead of making his own millions at the cost of Thousands of voters' jobs with Romney's Forced Buy-outs of many American-grown companies.
I just sentabuckforhuck, poor guy, how did he do it, with no money, maybe it was the loaves and fishes, i know one thing the most evilwoman in world got her butt beat. HOW CAN PEOPLE WITH ANY MORALS EVEN REPEAT HER NAME MUST LESS VOTE FOR HER
Barack Obama does not represent real change.  He's a phony politician like the rest of them.  He's about as "inspirational" as an after dinner mint. He was the right wing's agent in first destroying Hillary--and just wait for it now they'll go after him once they've destroyed her.  I'm sure Obama's victory had the Republican right wing machine dancing in the streets. Did you see how giddy they have been on Fox and Friends?  I, as a Dem, will NEVER vote for Obama.  He's a closet conservative gay-hater in my book.  So I guess I'll stay home this fall.
Ugh, another debate. We've had so many, the answers have gotten almost as worn as the stump speech. Oh well, maybe Clinton can come up with a new line of attack. What else has his kindergarten teacher told them? Did he refuse to share to blocks once?
'Huck and Chuck', sounds very unappetizing.
This is going to get more interesting as the days go by, candidates will need to get more specific especially on the economy after the poor showing with employment numbers.
Thanks Iowans, you got us started now on to New Hampshire!
It was interesting that David Brooks said on The News Hour that it was the medias fault that Biden, Dodd and Richardson didn't get much press because the media was more interested in showcasing the better known political personalities. I whole heartedly agree! Thats what you get when the news becomes part of the entertainment industry. The writers strike may be a godsend because without the new shows the news becomes more important.
Looks like we got a real horse race this year!
Oh, Obama you so diappoint the hell out of me

You want a new alignment with Bush and theh GOP
Clearly, Clinton has the lead in New Hampshire

She should win

A loss would be devastating for her

Especially if that loss comes after her return to gutter politics

Remember 'lovable (sic) Hillary' ?
Remember 'warm and cuddly Hillary' with her a
'adorable' mother and daughter ?

Well, that Hillary is GONE !!

Behold 'Gutter Fighter Hillary', the Battle Axe
That's gonna inspire America !

Now, she's digging up the dirt on Obama
She's getting ready to start slinging mud
To help prove to America how ready she is to 'lead'

How can Hillary 'lead' if nobody is following her ?
She came in THIRD PLACE IN IOWA !!

How 'electable' is Hillary if she CAN'T WIN IOWA ?
Hillary unifies the Republicans and energizes the right wing angainst her
(in a 'vast right wing campaign' ?)

Hillary will lose the 2008 election for Democrats

OBAMA '08
It's Time for REAL CHANGE
Senator Dodd, I would argue, has not only maintained but elevated his status considerably with his Presidential run.  Calls for him to be majority leader have become common among many progressives, and deservedly so, due to his diligent work this year in protecting Constitutional liberties.  Congratulations to him; the entire country now knows that despite the fact that Connecticut has an embarassment for a Junior Senator, we have always had a Senior Senator we can be proud of.

I wish him the best as an Obama supporter (I declared my support a few days ago: http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/1/3/174740/2308/300/428892 )
"We weren't able to write much yesterday about Dodd's and Biden's departures (mainly because there was too much else going on),"
------------------------------------------
With pure unmitigated sarcasm, I have to ask " So, what else is new?"
WHAM! New!  New Hampshire Primay poll: Obama 37% Clinton 27%!  Obama winning among democrats AND independents, as well as a staggering lead over Clinton on "electability"
http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/2008_presidential_election/new_hampshire/election_2008_new_hampshire_democratic_primary

Other points of interest:
"In New Hampshire, Obama leads Clinton by five points among Democrats and by sixteen points among Independents. The survey indicates that 40% of the voters will be Independents.

Eighty percent (80%) of Obama voters say they are certain they will vote for him. Seventy-three percent (73%) of Clinton voters say the same along with 64% of Edwards supporters."

"Obama is seen as the most electable Democratic candidate. Eighty-seven percent (87%) believe he would be at least somewhat likely to win if nominated. Seventy-six percent (76%) say the same about Clinton and 75% think Edwards would have a chance. Fifty-one percent (51%) of the Likely Democratic Primary Voters believe Obama would be Very Likely to win. Just 38% have such confidence in Clinton. "
Big media does not challenge Obama's false history as he wrote in his books using not real but COMPOSITE CHARACTERS.

Big media, get off your lazy a$$ and start checking out Obama, Huckabee, and other candidates who have never been invesigated or vetted.
I think the reason we didn't see Keyes after the DMR debate was because they threw him in a strait jacket.  Unfortunately, they arrived too late.

Either that or he's campaigning to be Mike Huckabee's VP candidate.  Now *there's* a ticket that would make the GOP elephant want to down his  cyanide peanut.
Change  Hope   Change   Hopem    Change   Change

Change is not a place, it's a process.

What will Obama do in the mean time?

What are his  EXACT plans starting on day one to start "the change"?
Lately, i've seen a lot of post that say something to the effect, that Iowa shoud'nt decide who voter's pick for POTUS. They are absolutely correct in their analysis. With that said, no one tell's You who to vote for, that is your Priveledge. If your candidate, does'nt make it to your states primaries when they take place, then WRITE IN your Preference of Choice. LET ME REPEAT, WRITE IN YOUR CHOICE FOR PRESIDENT or any other elected office thats on your ballot's.Your Vote will be counted, whether it's in ballot form, or on a peice of paper. So all this crap about Iowa choosing is nothing but NONSENSE.You can write in Elvis, mickey mouse, donald duck, underdog, etc.Excorise your right to vote for whom You want!!!!!!!
I keep hearing this perplexing though I believe honest question from stunned Clinton supporters. If Obama's policy positions are pretty similar to Clinton's, what's the change?

Can't speak for anyone else, but its not a wonkish difference I'm looking for. And those who have been on this message board since last winter might recognize some of what I'm about to say.

I think the partisan trench wars are childish. They're disruptive to effective governance and simply immature. If the old names can't be more mature, I'll look for a new name - someone I believe will work toward consensus when possible, will be more open and honest and will project an impression of authenticity.

I suspect this is what other recognize, too. We're looking at Obama because he seems to recognize Republicans aren't evil and independents aren't indecisive flakes. Ironically this time I seem to be joining many others in looking to the younger generation to overcome the childish behavior of the older one.

Sorry if that's too simple, but I think that's it.
Good bye Chris Dodd and Joe Biden
You both brought something to the table.....

Chris Dodd threatened a fillibuster against amnest for telephone companies that violated Americans privacy.
That forced 'lick spittle' Harry Reid to pull back a bill offering that amnesty
Thank you, Chris !!

Joe Biden stated that George Bush should be IMPEACHED if he attacked Iran !!
Joe is right !!

Thank you both

It's a time for CHANGE in American politics
Unfortunately you both ran during the wrong season for politicians with 'REAL' experience (as opposed the the Hillary Clinton 'experience' (sic) )

They probably won't endorse until AFTER Super Tuesday
Presumably Super Tuesday will decide the nomination

But, if Obama were to win New Hampshire AND South Carolina, it would be time for them to endorse

If Obama wins New Hampshire (a long shot) it might be time for Edwards to drop out

Unfortunately, Hillary Clinton is the prohibitive favorite in New Hampshire

With her lead and her organization, there's NO WAY she can lose in her 'Fire wall' state

She knows a loss in both Iowa and New Hampshire would be DEVSATATING for her campaign !!
She'd be view as a LOSER !

Hillary HAS TO WIN NEW HAMPSHIRE
and she HAS TO WIN BIG !!
It's isn't a time for us to shrink from the "Democratic" principles. hillaryclinton.com
OBAMA BLITZKRIEG, HILLARY BATTLE, EDWARDS BLEATS.
If your looking for cheap and hollow words, then your Washington self serving paper hanger will for fill your personal needs.

Stump slogans, promises have no context to serving this nation. Being conjecture, scandal, open bald face lies, voting conjecture, careless research leading to voting, immoral consent to activities less that of a leader, being part of felon activities to buy the White House and the office of the next President, yes no experience rounds out why HRC is non electable!

Your future and the future of this country must have reform, but A washingtong self serving paper hangers method has failed of present and past! Fact: Congress is non function, because it is being run by self serving people with agenda which hobble addressing priority issues ""Millions of illegals, national defense, poverty, endless list. Shunning the present law and making more paper laws to mask real problems is what the Washington self serving paper hanger has done! A HRC vote is to continue more of the same!
If Obama goes on to win the Democratic nomination, he can in part thank Dodd.

Maybe with a cabinet position.....

The netroots are becoming more and more like paint on the wall; nobody is paying that much attention to them at all.  As crazy as they are, they were fun for awhile, now with the seriousness of picking a president at hand, they should just go away and drink their starbucks and listen to whatever crazy liberal professor is spouting in college.

If there was any time for Hillary to go after Obama, now is the time.  But for her, it is too late.  She tried almost every dirty, under the table trick to try and derail him and it did not work and it cost her votes in Iowa.  If she continues trying to undermine him now, it makes her look like a desperate woman.
DUNCAN HUNTER TO END AMNESTY FOLKS ! WAKE UP !
HERE WE GO AGAIN. BRING IT ON ! hillaryclinton.com
If Duncan Hunter had more of a chance to get free air time he would be a serious contender at this time, and what did congressman Hunter mean when asked about Mitt Romney's business (Bain Capital), and its connection to 3Com and the COMMUNIST CHINA'S Huawei Tecnology that gets information from 3Com, a leading information technology firm that helps the Department of Defense ward off cyber attacks from hostle forces?   Hmmmm
Question for all of you in the Press, Are your questions about past statments and or policies negative or attack questions?  The only truely negative things have been Hillary implying that Obama could have been a drug dealer and the press endlessly reapting it.
The press does not press the real issues and contrasts but just play got ya. How about real questions about things that really matter!
well i hope this debate isnt like all the others..What a farce...Lets get some serious question that put the cards on the table..Talk about imigration, manuf jobs overseas,   Inflation, recession which we are slowly moving into...Loss of jobs,,,,some thing should be done about gas and oil luses now not 20 yrs from now...who can deliver we will never no if these debates are like the others... let get the american people involved and not the media or the self interest groups..Hard working Americans without ties should be doing the debates.Who am i just another frustrated American who sees his country going to the rich and wealthy.
jerry - Keep in mind that the netroots contributed more to Obama's campaign than anybody.  I think you're talking about many of the self-appointed elites in the blogosphere, some of whom inexplicably had a huge bone up their butt about Obama.  The thing is those people aren't really the netroots at all; the netroots is really just made up of individuals, and the impact of those individuals in defeating the Clinton machine and making Obama the next President of the United States cannot be discounted.  Their influence has increased, not waned.
"I seem to be joining many others in looking to the younger generation to overcome the childish behavior of the older one.

Sorry if that's too simple, but I think that's it.

I tried to post a similar comment on another story but it didn't work, so I'll try here.  I would most respectfully suggest that if Senator Obama becomes the nominee of his party, he will need the support of people OF ALL AGES; not just the younger voters.  The Obama supporters on this site might consider muting their criticisms of "older" Americans lest they alienate those people whose support their candidate may need in November. They also need to realize that everyone, old and young, is entitled to support the candidate of his or her choice without being insulted or demeaned.  Your candidate seems to realize this; I would suggest that as his supporters you do the same.

Making such broad generalizations about "older" voters is so counterproductive; older people could(and do in many cases) do the same thing about the young, but what does that accomplish? For real and meaningful change in government, I think a blend of youthful enthusiasm and experienced judgement are needed.  Your candidate says he want to bring the people of this country together; some who post here would do well to remember that.
sierra, i would suggest to you as an independent myself that the independent vote will carry obama to victory in n.h.

mccain will not get as many independent votes as previously predicted because of obama's freight train.

i can't speak to what republicans will do(as far as crossover to obama) because i am not online with republicans enough to get a consensus and i don't attend the local talking spots that republicans hang out like i do with my fellow independents.

i said that the majority of independents in iowa were going to support obama. no one paid attention. it is going to be a massive push out of n.h. for obama. edwards is going to do better than people think as well.

they keep talking about hillary's organzation. obama has a fine tuned ferrari for an organization and it is getting bigger and sharper. i think dodd and biden will announce right after n.h.

all the lies and hates in the posts here will not change this. most americans want unity and aren't falling for divisive politics. they realize that is why we are in the mess we are in now.

one other thing. anyone interested in  some truth go to this site:Understanding Government, a foundation devoted to better government through better reporting.

article by charles peters: judge him by his laws.
washington post.com

this may answer some quesions about obama's experience and substance. only those who wish to find out truth instead of make up untruths will go here.

good luck to all the democratic candidates. for those who will betray your candidate by not voting or turning republican if their candidate doesn't win instead of supporting the democratic party "go now". we don't need any benedict arnolds. please do us that favor.

get in line to support george bush's policy now instead of waiting for the general election.

just my opinion. i'm no expert.

GOOD LUCK TO THE DNC
Well, I see the true people have come out.  True racists are showing their true colors.  Just come out and say it, you don't like Barack Obama because he is black.  At least be truthful instead of coming up with all of this nonsense.
Hilary Rocks! I will vote for Hilary anytime.
"We weren't able to write much yesterday about Dodd's and Biden's departures (mainly because there was too much else going on)".  I totally agree with "Dot", the way the media and pundits like Chris Matthews were obsessed with the "front" runners is truly shameful.  Where is the balanced coverage?  Where is the service to the electorate?  Do you think this might be why it was necessary to create PBS?  Sure, we had a lot of good folks to pick from on the Democratic side, but that's no excuse to not try to cover all the candidates fairly.  Shame on you guys.
Just what does America want in a president?

Someone who can make a good speech, or who will make a good president?

Someone who speaks well, or someone who thinks well?

Someone who wants to make a deal, or someone who is the real deal?

Someone who talks about change, or someone who has a plan for change?

Someone who follows on the issues, or someone who leads on the issues?

Someone who can buy an election, or someone who will work for an election?

Answer these questions, and you will know for whom to vote: John Edwards. Thus far, Obama & Clinton have copied Edwards on policy, and Obama, the pretend progressive, has lifted ideas and phrasings directly from Edwards' policy papers and stump speeches. His policy statements are vague, his healthcare plan is not universal, and he has lied about components of Edwards' mandatory healthcare plan.

Just because someone is an eloquent speaker does not give him substance. And my question also about Obama is this: If he is sincere about getting money and special interests out of politics, then why did he not forego private financing and utilize public financing? How can he change a system when the system is paying his way in this election? Don’t let his lofty populist rhetoric fool you; he has accepted  as much money as Hillary has from big business interests--from Wall Street, the coal industry, healthcare industry, Exelon (which may explain his willingness to rely on nuclear power as an "alternative" energy source").

Folks, Barack Obama is not what he appears. In 2000, people voted for a guy they thought was "honest" and a regular guy. Don't get conned again. To vote for someone because he gives a good speech is patently ridiculous; you must look beyond into the substance. Edwards has more of it than any other current candidate. Check out his downloadable 80-page policy book on his web site; it's great! www.johnedwards.com
OBAMA...OBAMA...OBAMA...OBAMA...ALL THE WAY!!!!
Its all over for hillary!!!! and Edwardss!!! Newest Poll from Rasmussen has it like this:

Pres. Barack Obama 37%
Sen. Hillary Clinton 27%
John Edwards: 19%

This is all after the iowa caucusese!!!!!! HOPE!!!!!
OBAMA '08!!!!
To the guy who said he would never vote for Obama, apparently you're under the delusion that Hillary has a better chance against Republicans.  Obama polls better than she does against all the Republican candidates.  The Republicans are more concerned about Obama winning than Hillary, because they realize Hillary is so polarizing and so disliked they think they can beat her, and I think they are right.  To the idiot who is basically saying Obama is a terrorist, well idiot is about all we can say about you, I don't understand how that post was allowed here.
What are you all watching, that i'm Not watching.I try & catch Every Barack event on TV. I see people from all walks of life, young, old, middle age, not to mention a HELLUVA lot of Caucasion's in the Crowd's, which are HUGE.Do you have the PG-13 button on, that's only allowing your screen to show Young people. How young is young to any of ya? This is getting to be such a Lame arguement that some are making, that's it's Only Young people who attend his event's.Heck, i'm 52, if thats Young to ya, then Yes, IT IS A YOUTH MOVEMENT.
I think the pressure is on Obama right now since he is now the front runner. He is up 12 points in the latest polls in New Hampshire, some say he is up by as much as 15 points in New Hampshire. Obama has never been tested or attacked. How will he respond? I want to see more action and less fluffy talk. Will Obama's 12-15 point leadhold up in New hampshire through Tuesday night? I don't think it will.

Tonight, America will watch the debate. I am looking forward to waching it. Will have a house full of at least 20 people, many Independents.

I think many of us know that Obama is a great speaker, but he is the only candidate I know that can talk for an hour, make you feel good, but in reality, say nothing of substance. Where are the details, the concrete details of what this man wants to do for the America? What has he done for America as the Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee?  Nothing. he hasn't even scheduled a hearing. Why? Where does he stand on the issues? He talks a good game, but I don't see any game plan. Maybe tonight he will outline his plan with specifics. Many people are sick and tired of just hearing the talk from Obama.

Tonight, it is time for him to show that he is more than just a smiling face that talks about change. If we keep hearing "I want change" "I want change" from Obama, with no details of what that change is, or how he specifically wants to bring about that change, then what do we have, America? A candidate for the Presidency that can talk the talk, but can't walk the walk when it comes to putting forth real solutions to solve the real problems facing America.

America is watching Obama. Let's see what he is able to deliver in the debate without his telepromter and speech writers holding his hand.

Iowa picks corn, the rest of America, picks a President.
When people are desperate, they go on offensive--like Hillary. How electable was Third Place in Iowa? Obama rocks ! The more you despos attack him, the more he'll shine--just like in Iowa. Please attack him more.
I laugh my head off when I read people saying that the Republicans are dancing in the streets when Obama beats Clinton.

In some respects, that is true because of the fact that they can't stand the Clintons.  But it is in no way because they feel better about beating Obama than her.

I have voted Republican every presidential Election since 1976 and I am voting for Obama.  I have numerous other Republican friends who are doing the same.

For me, I am willing to roll the dice because I feel we need a major sweeping change in this country, similar to 1980 and Obama brings that to the table for me.

So you think the Republicans like hearing that?
ron paul
shadow, i went to the diary you provided. it was interesting. i have been researching the candidates for a year now. i have found a lot of things out. nothing suprising. as an independent i had the luxury of taking my time. i had set the end of the iowa caucus as my deadline.

i was deciding between biden, edwards and obama with biden as my first choice. it was easy researching joe biden and edwards. especially with me being a year round political junkie.

i remembered edwards last run and his stance on the issues in the senate. he has changed positions dramatically. he has learned from his previous experiences. the research on obama has taken a lot longer.

unlike others that chose to believe spin and make up lies, i wanted to check on this guy and watch him. so much has been put out on him that is half lies, lies and misrepresentations of his actions and the reasons for these actions. all the talk of no substance tells me people aren't interested in finding the truth. if they don't like him they just choose to hang on to their hate, dislike or need to not believe in something else than what has been pushed down their throat and minds the last 20 to 40 years.

it is sad because america has a chance to be so inclusive in the world and undivided at home. america could be great again to the world. something it hasn't had in a long time.

some of it is racial. some of it is establishment engrained belief and some of it is pessimistic views that we could actually change the country.

it is sad that so many are going to miss out on a very special event in the history of this country. a lot of countries and people in those countries around the world see the possibility of america becoming the shining light of the world once again and are hoping for that ending to occur.

some americans are so divided from the broken political system that has been practiced for so long that they can't change the way they think. they have become very non-progressive and the ability of forward creative thinking has departed from some americans.

i have made my decision as an independent and so many of my fellow independents are ready to make a difference in the direction this country is headed. we are tired of the racism, lies, slants on the truth and trusting the so called experienced politician that ends up being lap dogs to the system.

republicans don't want to see obama or edwards in the general election. they have no starategy to defeat them because of their representation of a different direction that most of america so strongly wants. thanks for your contribution.

good luck to the democratic party no matter who wins the nomination.

More anti-Obama vitriol. His critics always say, he talks a good game and that's it.

Well you talk a lot too. Where are the problems with Obama? He just won with Democrats, Indys and Republicans. He is the strongest Democratic candidate. He has worked to build concensuses everywhere he has been. Give me something more specific than you're tired of hearing about hope!
I have been watching CNN news for the past few days, particularly after the results of the Iowa Caucus and it seems as though Huckabee has been getting much more air time than Obama. This concerns me greatly. Yes, I believe that the news media has a big affect on elections. I realize that these two candidates are from different parties, but it is as if the news media has already decided that Obama will win the Democratic Nomination for the President of the United States and Huckabee will win the Republican Nomination.

I realized that there are biases and prejudices in all walks of life, I just wished this country and all form of the media would put these differences aside.

This country is in need of a great leader, not just a leader but a great one. CHANGE is what we need. It is very obvious that the path we are currently on is not the correct one. We need new ideas and approaches to the problems we are facing today. The people of Iowa got the right idea and in my opinion they clearly know what's going on and the challenges ahead.

We need a Great Leader not a Great Politician and there is a difference. If you don't know what that is by now, then God Help You.

Douglas
Dot - good point, and obviously I wasn't clear. I wasn't criticizing older voters. I was criticizing the older Washington set. That's where the childish trench warriors are.

I fully expect there are a lot of older voters who also want a president that doesn't instinctively take us back into those partisan trenches. And if I have to go to the younger candidate over the older one to find that maturity, so be it. I hope every voter older than me (I ain't so young myself) feels the same way.
Hillycrats of America: That is an outrageous, bigoted remark. It is not worthy of the electoral process.

Judie in Oregon
Who is Barack Huessin Obama? The Audacity of Hope? Or a wolf in sheeps clothing......does anyone REALLY know? At least with Hillary, love her or hate her, you know who she is and what she has fought for. When it comes to confronting terrorism, I want someone who I know is tough as nails. And Obama....well he'd like to start a dialouge with them. NO THANK-YOU OBAMA!
People, Obama Hussein is NOT electable. We are at war with most of the muslim world. Once a muslim always one. He's a hidden muslim no matter what he says. It simply can't be allowed. Now that the media has placed a crown on these guys on only 1 primary, what about the rest of the 49 other states? Sheesh what a farce.
People are so enamoured with having a black president they have missed the boat on not only experience but judgment and knowledge. Obama made a big gaff the other day and you biased news people let it go...he said he would improve pay for teachers...HELLO..the federal gov has nothing to do with our salaries, individual school districts make that call in the individual states...our pay comes from our state governments.  Oh well, at least I finally heard of something he is going TO DO and not just rhetoric set for a civil rights meeting..maybe MSNBC's Matthews who is so anti Hillary and so pro Obama ought to see what other little tidbits Obama promises that are false... and no, I personally have not decided whoto vote for but I know whoever it is will be honest and knowledgable
