More on possible Clinton shakeup

Posted: Tuesday, January 08, 2008 5:06 PM by Domenico Montanaro

From NBC's Andrea Mitchell
Terry McAuliffe has reached out to several former Clinton aides...partly to reassure worried donors. So far, we know that neither Carville nor Begala (to whom McAuliffe spoke) will come in.

He has NOT called former White House Chief of Staff John Podesta. And...contrary to reports in the New York Times and elsewhere, a source close to Podesta says, "He is not going to Hillary Clinton's campaign. No one has talked to him from the campaign; if someone is joining the campaign tomorrow, it is not him. "

"...Don't need a weatherman to see which way the wind blows..."
Hillary is going down faster then a White House intern.
Isn't Hillary Muslim?
It's probably too late
(thank god)

But, you have to give voters a REAL REASON to vote for you

She has never done this

Experience doesn't cut it
Some POSITIVE attitude, some REAL set of programs

It's REALLY too late
Bow out, gracefully
Would you please tell me why everyone is so threatened by Hillary and are excited to see her campaign in trouble?
*plays Tapps*
why dont they get the guy that destroyed and stole the clinton papers from the libraby of congress, thieves and crooks flock together
Dear Friends:

What does Senator Hillary and Chelsea Clinton have in common?

They are both bright intelligent young woman who are knowledgeable, educated, have seen many parts of the world, know and recognize the challenges of today, tomorrow and the issues of all woman of all faiths, races, sex, age, private and militarily.   Obama has not walked in the shoes of woman nor daughters of age for the military.

They know protocol of the Whitehouse and are part of it's history.   They know the experience and identify with all sizes of states.    They are country girl and city girls of the USA.

If you compare Mrs Senator Hilary   and Obama
who has more insight into the white house.  Pretend  bunting Obama sees the job of a president as that of the child playing with toy boy and girl toy soldiers. He has no protocol and no sense of strategic arms and prevention for man and woman and child,  right Bill Clinton?     Get Chelsea and Bill to be talking with the media as the results come in.   He respects Senator McCain and has served this nation.

Watch out get out and vote.     9/11 it is an emergency.   Americans of all ages get out and vote. Leisure World and Del Webb,   all eligible Americans get out and vote.

God Bless America!!!!!!!   Land that I love stand beside her and guide her !!!!!!

Tall is a hero of the USA as is Senator John McCain.

Tall is the command from the present chief of Staff get out and vote.  Call your voter registrar office for the nearest site of the absentee voter registration if you are not sure of your schedule , the weather or your health.  But do not waste time register and vote.

Amen.

At least now Hillary will have something to cry about. Bye Bye.
Hillary is more qualified than Obama would be even 10 years from now. A rock star does not make a good president. I cannot believe the lunacy of these Obama supporters...talk about going over a cliff!Just because someone is a smooth talker who tells you he can walk on water does NOT make it so.I am seeing alot of posts from people just like myself who are the democratic "base" as Merle said, and we WILL cross the party line to get a qualified candidate...Obama is not, not matter how much you zealots all preach about it!
Because the only reason she's in was race is her last name
Hillary is our best hope for the future of this country--and I am unsure why people are so thrilled to see her getting kicked around.

Wrong! Hillary is not young. She's 76.
Donna, it isn't that people are threatened.  It's that we simply don't trust her.  She is a consummate politician, all focus-group-tested phrases, all responses carefully crafted not to offend the wrong special interest group, every policy stance thoroughly vetted by the lobbyists who paid for her campaign.  Perhaps there is a real person under there.  But she sold her soul to Washington politics long ago, and we can't afford any more of that.
What Mrs. Clinton misses is that it's not about 'experience'--it's about 'leadership'.  If no one will follow you (and people who are told what to do seldom do), you can't lead.

If you were selecting 'the best' person for the job, it is probably some unknown person sitting at home in Sacramento, California.  The message to the Clintons (both of them) is:  We will not follow you and do not trust you BECAUSE YOU DO NOT TRUST US.  That simple.

Time for a dignified departure.
Don't count Hillary out just yet...this rollercoaster ride isn't over yet!
God, I detest these Obama gloaters on this board.  If Hillary were in the same position as Saint Barack of the Misty Eyed in is now HIS supporters would be saying what I'm saying.  Namely, vote Republican this fall.  Please email me at deblasiogwae@hotmail.com if you are a Clinton supporter who will work against Obama this fall.
Best, Dean
Carville, Begala and Podesta said 'no,' I just heard on the tube. Carville was called by Bill personally, and he said he had too many commitments.

That's striking! A presumably loyal lieutenant is asked by a former and prospective future president to come help, and he says he's busy?
The Republican Machine at work, pushing Osama Obama to the front of the pack in order to dispose of Hillary. Rove and Company know that Obama is unelectible in the long run.
I find it entertaining becuase of 2 states which are 2 ot the smaller ones in the union that you think Hillary is done for. Frankly i do not care for either her or obama. But if i had to choose i would rather Hillary. Simply put she still has more expierence..
Hilary has NO experience either. Is crying a great attribute of a leader? I don't think so. We don't need no CRY BABY in the white house.

The Clintons are so ungracious in defeat. Yuk.

Rats know to stay off a sinking ship.

Right. It's not over yet . . . . . . , okay, now it's over.
Dean, exactly where are the Obama gloaters on this board? I certainly do not see anyone gloating. What a dangerous and divisive assumption to make i.e. anyone supporting Clinton's departure is an Obama supporter who is gloating?

I think Peter from San Francisco eloquently states the reasons I am not interested in Clinton as a candidate and that this is the reason that we see so many people supporting her defeat in this election.

But please do not accuse us of gloating. That is exactly the kind of talk that we need to stop if we want to get this country back on track. When we hurl statements like this at one another, it undermines our ability to truly listen to one another and come together to solve the problems that affect us all as a nation.

Hopefully Hillary will exit gracefully.  As many of her staff said; her campain is starting to get depressing.
Ok, if Hillary were a man would you feel the same way.  She plays the game as well, or better than most men and they hate her for it.  If she were a man would you see her in the same light.  God help this country if Obama is elected. He looks like he is moments away from falling asleep.  Someone mentioned that Hillary doesn't have a set of plans to change this country.  Check the record,  she introduced universal healthcare in the 90's.  She fought the good fight back then. How quickly we forget about the republican machine destroying her for that.  Please read about these candidates before you vote.  Vote for the person who represents you, not against someone you hate.
Bill can be persuasive. Look for Begala and Carville to be there very soon!!!
Hillary is losing because she is arrogant and has such a sense of
entitlement.  Her theme has been "We will win", not what she can
do to help the country.  That's why "change" is such a popular theme
among others.
So Bill Clinton has to take off the gloves and go after Obama.  So much for the retained dignity of a past president.  I used to really respect him - not anymore.  If he has such strong feeling why didn't Bill join Jimmy Carter last year and blast George W for his horrific Iraq policies instead of cozying up to him? At least that would have been a justified action.
