Clinton camp cautiously optimistic

Posted: Tuesday, January 08, 2008 9:33 PM by Domenico Montanaro

From NBC/NJ's Athena Jones
It's fair to characterize the Clinton campaign right now as "cautiously optimistic." They think there were two turning points in the last 72 hours -- the ABC debate and that voters realized she "poured her heart and soul into the state."

Some of you guys and gals are giant HYPOCRITES....You accuse Hillary of being cold and full of venom, yet you have so much hate for her.
With the country in its current disaster, we need someone who has proven to work hard for the people. Sure, many like Obama because he is new and fresh, but have you actually seen what bills he proposed. Ok, so great we can track online money representatives get from what groups. However, one of his bills he introduced, $56 million to the country of Congo! Please tell me how a bill to give money to another country helps us? None of the bills he has sponsored and co-sponsored have been anything of real importance. Hillary has fought for health care, she has fought for womens' rights! She knows what needs to be done. Sure you can talk about change, but in two years, Sen. Obama hasn't done anything worth writing about.
I think America is such a great nation that begs for a top gun with pretty much experience under his/her belts to keep on with ever growing competition creeping around. And Obama is too green to meet those benchmarks. No question about it, Clinton is the best option.
Natasha...of CT, you may be choking on the good ole boys bs instead of bile very soon... Hillary has to play a different game because she is a woman... shame on you ...do you want to be called Nate instead of Natasha?
This win for Hillary could end up being a big boost for Obama. She's already played the "gender card" and traded in her "I can show emotion by crying card." All she has left is the "I can go so negative to sell my soul card," and while that's a pretty strong card, I think Barack will overcome it.
As we seek to reorient our country toward solving some major issues with the economy, education, and the environment, I shudder when reading the posting that indicate  we are still rutting in the ditches of polarization that have dominated national politics for the last 15 years.  It is time to stop with cheap shots and ask more serious questions about ourselves as a people, society, and individuals.

We have a chance to reject manipulation by the "political donor class" to appropriate all of our major institutions by resisting the clamor of small thoughts and  actions that  wound  each others spirits.  Disagreement does not have to be fractious just different.

If it were possible to have a truth and reconciliation process for our nation  at this time it would help us to forgive  others for violating our trust in government, but  we can move on to resisting the old machine of thought by comporting with more dignity and respect when responding to each other at least.
Not sure what is going to happen, but it;s not for Hillary to keep showing all these faces.  The fact of the mater is she did have my vote, but crying, whining, and this dirty politic stuff is off the cuff and truth is...many will vote republican again, before her.  She is a continuous divide among it's not good for the Clinton camp.  You can dress her up, change her style, but you can't make her shine, because she came out swinging dirty, that failed in Iowa, media trashed her, women felt sorry for her and it's not going to work.  I could be wrong, but many are for her, but many more are against her.
Congrats NH, with Bill and Hillary back in office, expect more from business owners who owe back taxes like Mark Rich to be pardoned because they contributed to their campaign. Nothing like 4 more years of status quo. Wake Up America! Remembering the past should indictate what will happen in the future.
Joe from Houston, remembering the past... sounds good! Record economic growth, balanced budgets, expanding American power without expanding hatred of America, wow, looks like the past sure was something I'd like to be an indication of the future!
Sad day when this country tries to tear down a woman, but a person dare not mention race.
