It's not about beating a woman, it's not it being the first black male.  People are tired of dirty politics. Crying because we are tired is great emotion, but leave it at home.
She was able to change in 5 days, because she finally showed us that she is is more human than we realized; is crazy. What face is she going to put on next?

I am not for showing a woman to be weak to compete in a male dominated society.  She had my vote, but the strength is in the pudding and she lost it in my view.
Women spoke up for Hillary, because they had to "find their voices" as they feel this is a male dominated society, but I as a woman am not buying stock into the Clinton politics.
I read everyone's comments yesterday dancing on Hillary's grave and I found myself defending Hillary even though I am an Obama supporter.  I wonder if that is what happened in NH?  I think between the "pundits" and the piling on of everyone, if women especially didn't pause and say "wait a minute she deserves better".  I also think that a lot of independents went with McCain since they didn't feel needed for Obama to win.  The one thing I came away with is a disgust at the spinmakers....Chris Mathews should really just shoot himself this morning.
I watched gleefully as Chris Matthews grew quieter and greener last night as Hilary maintained her early lead. I watched CNN primarily for they are the best, but I flicked back and forth just to laugh at Matthews. I hope he enjoys his big portion of crow today.  The only person from NBC or MSNBC that was decent about Hilary was David Gregory.  The rest of them constantly put her down and criticized her.  Chuck Todd was also not quite as bad as the others.  I think it was the influence of
Matthews who is obsessed with taking Hilary down. You can bet that Hillary will not go on any of those CBS shows, probably not even Russert's.
I could not figure out why they wanted an untested inexperienced "Novice" to be president of our country and Thank Goodness he did not win again.
The young people that were out of college for the Holidays is what happened in the Iowa Caucuses.
They think Obama is entertaining and they were bored being out for the Holidays so they voted, they don't even know what his background is but they love his message and his jive.
As Hilary said "words don't equal actions"
I also think the piece that CNN did on his Kenya relatives and the picture they showed of Obama with a huge sack over his back when he was probably 16, very probably woke up a few people too.
I salute the intelligent folks of New Hampshire for voting for Senator Clinton and making her the winner of their primary.
Sorry, but OLD WHITE WOMEN cannot bring victory to the White House for Billary!

When are you stupid Clinton freaks realize that INDEPENDENTS is what wins the White House!?!?!

If Billary gets the nomination, all the indies will go Republican.

OBAMA/FEINGOLD 2008!
I honestly think that NH is full of idiots who love negative campaigns.

Bill has turned into Karl Rove.

Pathetic.  That dynasty has run its course.
You folks are hilarious. Hillary's 'victory' over Obama was slight and do not forget that they received the same number of NH delegates from this.

Also... NH is just one state. This 'win' by Hillary does not assure her of getting the nomination so all of you Hillaryites need to get off your high horses and get back to reality. This thing is just beginning and Obama still has a chance of winning this thing.

Same thing applies to the other side... McCain won here last night and he won here in 2000... and he LOST the party's nomination. NH is not the determining factor, folks.
Dan, NY - I followed your link. I have a hard time believing in any conspiracy theory, because I doubt people could pull most of the ones I hear off without getting caught. I think I have to put this idea of election fraud in that same category.

If I understand correctly, the idea is that someone could hack into the electronic voting machines and alter the tabulations. I also understand (from the link) that these Diebold machines aren't used throughout the state - it said about 80 percent of the precincts use them.

Seems like an easy thing to look at the difference between the vote totals in those precincts and the other 20 percent that don't use the Diebold machines.

Even if there is a discrepency there, the disprepency could be from a world of factors other than fraud. But before even posting that stuff in a blog, it would have made the case at least a little intriguing by waiting for a day and then including a statistic about the percentages at Diebold precincts versus mechanical precincts.

Right now the only two relevant points are that 1) the vote didn't match the polls from the day before, and 2) a claim the voting infrastructure could be hacked.

With just that to go on, sorry, but its not that convincing.
Hillary's answer to her not having enough experience should be that she will have someone at her side with all the experience necessary that will give her the benefit of his experience when asked for. And maybe when not asked for. Bill Clinton  has said he often asked for Hillary's opinion when he was President.
Bill Clinton is a BIG PLUS for Hillary IMHO.
I also heard that people in New Hampshire plan to host the Daytime Soap Opera Awards show.....they love a good cry.....people in Iowa got it right!.....Clinton is nothing but lies and more lies.....the two regimes of Bush and Clinton must leave the white house quick!.....people in NH voted as if they are going to receive a Christmas card from Hillary.....get a reality check folks.....she is not the person to lead this country...
Ms H. Clinton's tears were fake which woman when asked about her husband's unfaithfulness would not tear up yet she did not but when asked about a political campaign would fall apart she probaly cares more about being in power than in her marriage.
I encourage everyone to check out medicare. It is not free.So if you think Hillary's health plan is a reason to vote for her, when you have retired and are on a fixed income and your premiums go up to subsidize the people with mandatory insurance who don't pay.Remember those teary eyes they will be yours when you have to go back to work for minimum wage.

Reading these comments only reinforces my opinion that the Democrats have scraped the bottom of the barrel in their search for a viable canditate. I was nauseated by Mrs. Clinton tearful theatrics which seemed to have paid dividends with the dimwitted women voters of NH. I really wanted to support a Democratic candidate but truth be told at this juncture I feel more comfortable giving my prescious vote to Huckabee or McCain.
Hey Stephanie in Amherst NY, Name 3 things that Hillary has done to help your county? Did she get some research grants in there, maybe some road improvement money, some infrastructure enhancement?

Come on, just name 2 things.

Maybe even 1?

Maybe.........maybe she used NY for a shot at the White House. So much for her bringing 200,000 new jobs to NY. Rochester looks like a frigging ghost town compared to what it used to be and Buffalo is in a world of hurt. That was her campaign in 2000, not that any of you kool aid drinkers would remember that.

I have more respect for Shumer and I think he is a dirt bag. And no, I am not a Obama fan so please don't trash them, they are some of the few with any class left in this race.
NH are full of liars and racists.

They tell the pollsters they'll vote for Obama, yet turn around and vote for Clinton.

How else do you explain the inconsistency in the polls?

Happend to Gov. Wilder.
"Sorry, but OLD WHITE WOMEN cannot bring victory to the White House for Billary! "

Actually, if you paid attention to the breakdown, Hillary also - for the first time admittedly - won a decisive amount of young, single women in New Hampshire.

First of all, Hillary did not cry.  There wasn't a single tear.  She choked up visibly, but remember, she - like ALL the candidates at that point, had gone 4-5 days w/ about 3hrs sleep a nite and everyone's nerves were raw and no matter what anyone says, the media DOES pick her apart two to one more than anyone of either party.
I'm not necessarily for Obama or Hillary, but I'm happy that at least I will still have a say in the matter (My state votes 2/5).
But my real question is:  Why, when Mitt Romney 'choked up' (or cried, depending on your spin) on Meet the Press re civil rights, did everyone praise him for finally showing some humanity, but for Hillary that only shows 'weakness' and that 'women can't rule'?
More than a little hypocrisy here I think.
For months, everyone has been saying Hillary’s too stiff (tho a man is just ‘reserved’), then when she shows some emotion, she’s weak.  Seems she can’t win with some people.
Fortunately, others see it for the double standard it so obviously is and decided to overrule the pundits (and virulent bloggers) and give both candidates more of a chance.
The commentators missed the boat big time on the Hillary emotional speech.  The history of superpowers is that they collapse after a run of arrogant, incompetent, corrupt and greedy polliticians.  She was simply expressing concern that a continuation of the Cheney/Bush administration would eventually bring this great nation to its knees.  It is a message that is supported by both parties.  I could not agree more with her message.

To Stopwatchingfoxnews:

Show some class? Obama did in his speech. Hillary and Bill pulled out all stops in attacking Obama and so you could understand when Obama supporters are less than enthusiastic especially right after the 3% loss that was unexpected. Check out response of Hillary supperters from her Iowa concession speech. Obama's true character and class comes out also when reading the email exchanges between himself and McCain.

p.s. The reported "fan" who didn't shake Hillary's hand was an Edwards supporter. Get your facts straight or you lose
I am a women that is independent and a liberal.  I am shocked at the women out there that are supporting Hillary just because she is a women and/or because she is married to Bill.  Bill has showed more times than once his lack of respect for women and Hillary has played the victim far too long.  Sen. Obama is the first person to make me feel passion for my country and makes me look forward to going to the polls.
