Barack Obama… the jury is still out… can I as an American and a Christian actually vote for someone educated from infancy outside of the United States??? I don’t underestimate the significance of a child’s adolescence and how it influences the rest of his life… he's does not salute the flag when the National Anthem is played… the next time you attend an event where the National Anthem is played, look around and notice how few people do not salute the Flag… the Flag, “Old Glory,” represents every ancestor you and I have who have ever lost their lives for that Flag… Mr. Obama may be a great person, but his childhood and seemingly lack of patriotism, make me question what his real intentions would be if elected to the White House… I'm sure change is the correct word to use to describe his candidacy… I'm just not sure what kind of change it would be… how will this change impact my life??? We do need change… but change that also includes the traditions and values of most Americans… does he want to be the leader of the free world to help strengthen our National pride, our economy, our communities, our youth, and solidify this country’s place in the next millennium… will he stand-up to the pressure of the world’s influence and continue to uphold the principles that have made this country great???  Will he give ground to the pressures of the outside world for the United States to conform to the way the rest of the world thinks??? I believe for this country to move forward we must first stand our ground… maintain our identity as a people… teach our children not to be haters of things or people they don’t understand, but at the same time remain true to their heritage and protect it… America was built on the shoulders of strong men and women who had a core set of values and stuck to their guns…  we need a leader who will put America first… will he be able to set-aside his feelings for the hardships that part of his family in other countries endures, and focus on the feelings and hardships of every American’s family??? Considering his childhood, he must be a man torn between two ideologies… which one will he choose??? Is his candidacy about changing America to strengthen it, or more about changing the world by changing America??? Is it more about making the world a stronger better place to live, by weakening America??? In the end I feel it is my responsibility as an American and a Christian to vote for the candidate with the strongest voice that mirrors my belief system… to vote for the candidate I feel will pave the road for my children’s children to live in a future where a Christian is still the majority voice in this great country…

Union endorsements are overrated. To think that a union with 60k members is going to vote for candidate, just because the union endorses them is bit naive IMO.

Most of the Culinary union works, of course, in the hotel/casinos.

The Dems have set up a series of "at-large" caucuses at MGMMirage properties on caucus day so that those who work don't have to miss it. Very bright of the Dems, very civic-minded of MGM.

Why did they select him????His sixth and seventh important acts as a senator were to vote for a bill that made it nearly impossible for ordinary people to sue giant corporations who rob & defraud. He voted for President Bush’s energy bill, sending more than $13 billion in subsidies and tax breaks to oil, coal, and nuclear companies. He voted to allow credit card companies to raise interest rates over 30 percent. He spoke out against the Patriot Act, only to vote in favor of reauthorizing it, he cannot commit to have all troops out of Iraq by 2013, supported Bush’s sanctions against Iran and co-sponsored a bill designating the Iranian National Guard a terrorists organization, he implied he’d invade Pakistan, he favors amnesty for illegal immigrants, he is for entitlement programs that will increase the deficit leaving the burden on taxpayers.. He has no consistency on the issues of social security and taxes, in the very beginning he was for raising the cap, then having all options on the table, then appointing a bipartisan commission, now he’s back to raising the cap.. he also accepts money from lobbyists & PAC’s while claiming he’s the “anti-establishment candidate

He will do nothing for the middle class

I think the one thing everyone forgets is that this young black senator from Illinois has single handedly changed the political landscape for republicans and democrats.  Weather you like him or not. Our weather you think he has enough experience or not.  Every American owes Barrack Obama a debt of gratitude.   He going against all odds just stop and think about it.  His skin color, his Muslim Grandmother, multi racial background, experience, and he was raced by a single mom, also his willingness to fight for economic equality for all people.   I really admire him to put his reputation his family and yes his life on the line.  I only wish him God speed and good will.  Barrack has really forced all the candidates to bring there A game and get in touch with the people.  They can know longer feed the public a bunch of lies and spin.   I am so proud of him and I think every Americans should stop and think what would the presidential race would be like with out him.  God Bless you all and Barrack and his family.  He is a great American that embodies the true American sprit. Comparing people to loaves of bread... I don't see this becoming a trend at all.  

Is this more of a blow to Hillary or to Edwards who has based his whole campaign on unions and the plight of the middle class?

Did anyone happen to be watching the press conference live on CNN?  For a few minutes there, the caption read "Culinary workers endorse Hillary Clinton". It even stayed that way for a while as the guy talked!! It did eventually change to Barack Obama!!

What was that all about?  Wishful thinking?  Makes me appreciate MSNBC all the more!!

Thank God!  Unions are alive and well and endorsing what we too want for America!

This is excellent news for Obama, and more proof that the voters of this country will not be told what they are supposed to do by the media.  My advice?  Fewer polls, more discussion issues and fact checking of the candidates' statements.

It is no surprise that the Unions are endorsing Hillary and Obama or any other Democrat for that matter. Since the democrats want to give the illegal’s amnesty, the unions see this as a new way to get lots of potential union members and make a ton of cash in the process.

Obama not wining NH but staying really really "close" was the best thing that happended to his campaign. I bet they are not going to take any mandate for granted. Obama is the best person to heal this nation at this particular time in history. I'm glad he got the endorsement.

I am glad someone is beginning to see that Obama can do more for this country than Clinton.  Clinton is not trustworthy.  So far she has stolen Obama's theme of "change" but cannot offer change as she is still in bed with the "old guard".  Clinton is a divider not a uniter.  We need fresh ideas.  People who love America more than they love themself.  I think that is Obama.  Defininitly not Clinton.

Obama fans, I have put this question out for three days and  I have yet to get an answer.  Why did Obama vote "Present" on every bill that came up in the the Ill. Senate having to do with a woman's right to choose?  I know one thing, Hillary would never vote "Present" on any woman's right to choose bill.  Why would any Democrat vote for a person who doesn't have the conviction to vote for a bill concering a woman's right to choose?  And the media wants to talk about Hillary Trianglelating?

Also, why would any Democrat vote for Cheney's energy bill, that was written by Enron, like Obama did? You know the bill that gave billions of tax breaks to the oil companies. Hillary did not vote for it, for that reason.  I have still yet to hear an explanation for that vote and why hasn't the media talked about that either?  

You Obama fans can bring up her Iraq vote, we all know about that and I don't agree with that either.  But Obama fans, please give me an explanation.

Is it that you can't justify his actions and choose not to answer this question, or is it that you had know idea because the media never told you anything about his record?  I will keep posting this question until someone who supports Obama can explain his voting record on these issues.  

I like Edwards, but he's just helping Hillary at this point.

Not yet sure what an endorsement for Obama (or Edwards) buys anyone at this time but either one is a huge step in the right direction (away from the Clinton camp).  I am happy to see the positive comments for Obama and Edwards.  To bad they don't get the same media "special attention" that is given to Hillary, which is the only thing astonishing (as in unbelievable) about her win in NH.

Many members of that union are immigrants who are not citizens of the United States, and therefore cannot vote in the caucus in Nevada.

Hillary has overwhelming support in Nevada, especially in the Hispanic community and is leading there in the polls, so I fully expect a win there for her.
