Clinton talks Super Bowl, Super Tuesday

Posted: Sunday, February 03, 2008 10:55 AM by Domenico Montanaro

From NBC/NJ's Athena Jones
EN ROUTE FROM LOS ANGELES TO TUCSON, Feb. 2 -- Surprise, surprise. Hillary Clinton is pulling for the New York team on Super Bowl Sunday -- and on Super Tuesday.

In regard to the contests, the senator said she was "expecting the New York team to win both." Clinton spoke to the press, squeezed into the aisle of the plane in a media avail that proved to be a logistical nightmare. Reporters leaned over seats and stood stradding the aisle straining to hear the senator speak and to make sense of the barely audible questions being posed to her.

Otherwise there was no real news. Clinton repeated her dig on McCain wanting to stay in Iraq -- a criticism she lodged at a rally this morning at Cal State -- and said again that voters don't have to take a leap of faith with her and that she's been very specific about what she plans to do as president.

She also said Democrats would have a stronger argument in a debate with McCain if they nominate a candidate whose goal is universal healthcare.

Hillary said she was for the Cubs. When informed the Super Bowl is about football, she quickly switched to be pulling for the Lakers.
I'm rooting for Hillary but the Patriots are my team.
Hillary, heaven help us if you don't win. 4 more years of the GOP will wipe us out.
I just watched Senator Clinton on "This Week."  Does she EVER answer the questions she's asked?  Seems as if she ALWAYS gives 1 short sentence and then starts SLAMMING and SLIMING.
It doesn't do any good to make comments, because unless you say something good about Obama, you won't be posted. I was a middle class worker (the lower end)before the GOP with in office. Now I work 2 jobs, my health isn't as good as it should be, my insurance keeps going up, with less benifits. Now the media are trying to make Obama our nominee. Let the people make the choice. Look at records, experience, and knowledge and vote Hillary. I don't like the way he looks down his nose at her.
SI SE PUEDE!!

There is also a Zogby Poll that has Obama ahead in California.

If you have not seen it yet, i suggest everyone, Republican, Independent, Democrat, Man, Woman, Black, White, Latino, Jewish, Christian, Muslim or other go to youtube and watch the Black Eyed Peas Video - Yes We Can.

It puts one of Obama's speeches to music and shows what a gifted orator he is.  If you support him or not it is a great work of art.
Maxine Waters endorsment of Hillary Clinton is a better endorsment than Ted Kennedys. Now there is a strong woman and her words rang loud and true.Heard that Mary Matlin was on meet the press.Did she answer to the statement she made previously---Fred is in it until the end.Maybe Russert did not want her to eat her words.
Don't you know that faith is the key to everything and everyone.  Have faith the side of a mustard seed will get you where you need to be.  Go Obama!  KEEP THE FAITH!
WASHINGTON (AP) — Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton said Sunday she might be willing to garnish the wages of workers who refuse to buy health insurance to achieve coverage for all Americans.

The New York senator has criticized presidential rival Barack Obama for pushing a health plan that would not require universal coverage. Clinton has not always specified the enforcement measures she would embrace, but when pressed on ABC's "This Week," she said: "I think there are a number of mechanisms" that are possible, including "going after people's wages, automatic enrollment."

_________

So, if you are hurting for money, struggling to get by, Clinton is going to FORCE you to buy health insurance...

No thank you.
I understand Clinton will give interviewers to the press and Obama does not do the press on his plane or otherwise. Someone let me know the scoop on that.
I am a life long Dem. We need a Dem!!! lets not put another Bush in
I have been watching all the candidates talk about change in regards to the war in Iraq, the horrible economy and health care, imigration etc.  However,  there is one issue that non of them are addressing and that is the alcohol and other drug addiction going on right under their noses.  We are missing at least one generation to this epidemic if not more young and old are destroyed along with famalies especially the children of these addicts.  As a Chemical Dependency Professional I can tell you first hand that this situation must be addressed before it continues to devastate any further lives and the cost to the government is in the millions.
Is there anything Hillary Clinton can do to get some favourable comments on your site. You mean to tell me there was absolutely nothing positive to report about her in the last few weeks today included!
Do you want your comments or mine.it sounds like your asking for your party etc. good luck!!!
Hillary might think she would have a strong argument in with McCain over healthcare, oh really.  Did she state this before or after she said she would garnish the wages of those who can't afford her plan?  This woman is completely out of touch with reality, of course, for most of her life she has been living on the government dole and has no clue how much people are making or paying for insurance.
I know what Hillary stands for. Obama is all talk and no solution.
I'm behind Hillary Clinton 100%. With Obama where would we be as a country? Obama is a bad choice. Go home to Illinois Obama. You don't deserve to run this country. You are disqualified!!!!
Well okey dokey, no news here. If it is Hillary then no news is good news, right guys? I think you are trying to hoodwink us!!
Unfortunately, the Republicans would have a feast with Hillary with all of the Clinton baggage that she would be bringing, and they would have an even bigger feast with her concerning her "if I had another chance to do it over again" choices.

The Republicans would push to show that her "experience" is heavily leveraged on Bill, and that her administration would be a co-presidency with Bill. She'd be rendered useless... She says that she's taken the heat for 16 years, but she has really taken residual heat as compared to what is awaiting for her, should she go forward as the Democratic nominee.
Democrats unite!  Let's get a Clinton-Obama ticket and secure the Democratic party'd hold on the White House for the next 16 years.  Think about it, both candidates' positions on the key issues are very similar, however, Hillary is in a much better position to take over Day 1.  Barack, serving as Vice President Barack for 8 years, will be well-positioned to take over the Presidential reign after Hillary.  The ticket of Hillary as President and Barack as VP is the best combination of their strengths and supporters to ensure winning the general election.  The Republican candidate will have NO chance.  Think about it.
GO HILLARY!!!08
Wow!
Chuckie,
Sorry Uncle Ted, Obama supporters.
The Great New York Giants take out the perfect Pats. One down. One to go.
The next Super Day will be Tuesday, and will be another New York Win win will take place, Hillary Clinton.
I guess that why they call it New York, New York.
Right On!
WELL THE GIANTS DID WIN...

I WANTED THEM TO WIN FOR HILLARY CLINTON.

   THANKS NEW YORK GIANTS!
