Hillary loses her voice

Posted: Monday, February 04, 2008 11:15 AM by Mark Murray

From NBC's Lauren Appelbaum
Clinton lost her voice pretty badly while at a roundtable in New Haven, CT. She asked for a lozenge and water, and after a minute, she tried to answer a question on health care. She got one short sentence out, and then breathlessly said, "This comes and goes."

A nurse then talked for six minutes, giving Clinton a chance to regain use of her voice. About eight minutes after losing her voice, Clinton began to get her voice back (but still was scratchy).

Why is this news?  All candidates lose their voice.  Good grief.  I swear the media would comment on the candidates bowel movements if they were allowed to follow them into the bathroom.
With Obama climbing in the polls so fast, expect her to start crying any minute now.  It suckered the women of NH, but will they get suckered again?  "Fool me once..."
I do not this in mean spirit, but if this event gets a lot of press, it will hurt her immensely.  The thought will be "when the going got tough, HRC didn't".
I HOPE SHE CAN KEEP HER SCHEDULED SPOT ON THE HALLMARK CHANNEL TONIGHT.
SHE NEEDS SOME AIR TIME SINCE OBAMA HAS BEEN GETTING A FREE RIDE IN THE MEDIA.
What's the over/under on the number of tears Hillary will drop during tonight's round-table?  Everybody watch to see if she pulls a nosehair!
She best keep that voice as she is doing Letterman and her national town hall tonight (broadcast at 9pm EST on Hallmark Channel and HillaryClinton.com).

Also, The NY Times has a breakdown of each state on Super Tuesday and how their delegates are given out.  It is very interesting to see the numbers based on congressional district, proportional by the state results, and by unpledged.

"This comes and goes".

Kind of like the Clintons. Lets hope tomorrow is a "Goes" time for them.
Is this really news?
Or is it just a quick fix to satiate your 11:00am 'take a snipe at Hillary' addiction?

Hillary is crying again now too. I wonder how much Hillary cried for Monica, and for Kathleen Willy, and for Paula Jones, when Bill assaulted them? If I remember right, she sic-ed the hounds on those women.
If the mean and divisive spirit is Obama's idea of change its not for me. I have watched him use old politics to make it look like Clinton brought about the race card so he could use it in South Carolina and seem clean. : I can get her voters she cannt get mine:what was that? He is sure dividing the party  look to republicans again.I am one Hillery supporter wouldnt vote for him. Also this bridge to future is (what vote did you give yrs ago that i didnt give)course he wasnt there. Also if a member would prob. vote here This is sending us back to old yrs that king tried to get us out of God Bless America. This is Janr Doe  go Hillery!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey yellow dog, doesn't trashing one democratic candidate in favor of another kind of defeat the purpose of "yellow dog democrat?" especially when that kind of infighting is why the democratic party is in desparate need of unity and has been since the first clinton? Way to further the cause, bud.
Who in their right mind watch Hallmark channel? I guess the senior citizens ...
What a pathetic woman.  Anything to get a vote.
Good grief. Please, enough of this "Obama's free ride" business. I don't seem to recall any of Clinton's supporters complaining for the entirety of 2007 while their candidate was all but ordained the Democratic nominee by the MSM. Senator Clinton enjoyed a so-called "free ride" for many, many months. Unfortunately for her presidential bid, circumstances appear to be turning out differently.
Thanks hillary for reminding us why we don't want you back in the WH. Thanks bill for losing your temper and letting us see the 'real you.' Thanks bill for showing guys how to disrespect their wives and get away with it. Thanks bill for lying under oath. Thanks bill for ignoring 4 terrorist attack on us when you were president. Thanks for showing the new generation of voters the dirty side of politics. Thanks for the lies, immorality, lack of decency that both of you represent. In other words, thanks for nothing!
What is wrong with you people? Hillary Clinton was hoarse, she wasn't crying. Try to keep up.
For whatever reason, I am just hoping that the "Clintons" never have a chance to represent this country on any level - ever again.
Obama is set to shock the nation. Then, we will see enorsements by Edwards and Gore. I will vote for him just to see if he can use his concilatory nature to solve some problems. With HRC, we already know the plot - more diviness, more scandals, and an out of control Willie.
I have to agree with Mark Cary,NC, this is not news. Why not comment on the context of the speech?
Doesn't anyone pay attention to history? When Hillary was first lady, Health care was her pet project for 8 years and nothing came of it.With Hillary you get the same old crap just a different name.
What kind of a message does this send to young women when women of Mrs. Clinton stature play the victim.  If any of the other candidates did this the clintons would be the first to say they are not strong enough to lead the nation
NO MORE YEARS:  CLINTONS 2008
You all must be prophetic...Hillary did shed some tears today:

http://www.swamppolitics.com/news/politics/blog/2008/02/clinton_crys_in_connecticut.html
We know why Hillary is crying......no one wants to go back to the Clinton farce and they are supporting Obama in growing numbers!  She is running out of time; Obama is closing so quickly now that I am sure her campaign has said to her: it is time to shed another tear and try to get the mushy voters to feel sorry for her.  I am a moderate Republican in NJ and will vote for Obama in the fall.  Wake-up, Democrats! your only chance with people like me is to support Obama!
finallly...some peace and quiet
It "comes and goes" depending on the trends in the polls
The definition of "cry" is to blubber, wail, whimper, boohoo. Shame on you Mrs. Clinton for being so emotional. Too bad you are not a man; you would be considered compassionate. Haven't you realized yet that you don't fit the concept of a President in the good old USA? Get a Grip!!!
Watching a witch die is not a pretty sight!
"She wiped a tear from her eye."  This her second boo-hoo episode.
The last thing we need in the Oval Office is a person who cries when things get difficult!
My comment is better than most of the ones I have read so I can only assume that you have your own agenda. Thanks for nothing
We should have more Socialists losing their voice over here. C'mon people "garnish wages". If this doesn't sound like big brother socialist government than nothing does. Were all so moved she lost her voice.  Can everyone out there imagine the tax increase we will all choke down so we can have lousy socialized medicine.  All you Socialists/Democrats will say the wealthy will pay for this.  They pay for everything now because they pay 90% of the tax burden in this country.  The Socialist/Democrats will lower the wealthy definition to working/married couples making $80,000 and up.  Its going to happen. Womb to the tomb everything.  And I'm supposed to be moved by Hillary losing her voice. Give me a break.
Discusting!  Someone please give that woman a box of tissues and get her off the stage!  She can not act!!  She obviously needs to "man up"! Every time she dips in the polls, here comes the tears!!Gimme a break! She is a joke!  Someone tell her campaign manager to stop having her cry already! A second Clinton in office would be a disaster for America!  Especially a socialist like HILL BILL!
I can hear the leaders of North Korea, Iran, and Venezuela: "How would you like your Hillary? Rare or well done? Let's make her cry!!!!"
WA WA WA WA WA I will loan her my granddaugter for some tears.  She is very good at turning them on and off like a switch on the TV.
The only "free ride" being gotten by any candidate is being given to Billary by MSNBC, CNBC and CNN (aka "Clinton News Network"). Obama has had to labor for every single bit of attention, against vastly entrenched odds, mostly in his own party. Let us pray he is victorious.
There is 24 hours left until Super Tuesday.  These candidates are working straight through.  Often times candidates will lose voices, become emotional even get sexually aroused, as is the case with the Democrats, Hillary and Barack.  http://www.socoolaz.com/article.cfm?articleID=30116
Get an exorcist to summons up the real voice.
Thanks Tony Rezko for the 300K for my house.

Love,
Obama
Obama is "climbing in the polls" because the Corporate Owned Media is serving him to us on a silver platter.
No scrutiny! No questions!

The media OWNS Obama - and they're certainly not in business because they like "unity."

Democrats now have their own version of Bushie sheep.
Hillary has nothing anyone wants to hear anyway.
That woman is a real scumball.
It's like life after death.....nobody is REALLY going to know the answer until they croak......this media frenzy involving polls, sore throats, weeping frequency, semen counts, testosterone levels and fecal analysis is useless.....tomorrow, only, will begin to tell the tale.....
Ron of TX:

Please get over yourself. I saw Hillary yesterday in St. Louis and she was having problems with her voice. She, however, completed her townhall meeting. It was awesome. Her warmth is not conveyed on television as it is in person. She is hanging in there even with all those superstars and the biased media out in force for Obama.
Who in their right mind watch Hallmark channel? I guess the senior citizens ...

I agree, especially when you can get all the T&A you want on while watch MTV's declare yoursefl (If you'll vote Obama).
I always said it was going to take an act of God to keep the lies from coming out of that woman's mouth. :-)
Most of these messages are written by Obama voluteers or "paid" help.  No normal citizens could come up with so much hate and filth without having a vested interest.  This entire blog site if something to be sad about, but then (and u won't print this) but MSNBC out to be shut down for trying to subvert the American vote and elect the president they want.  The Catholic Cabal has been very active all year.  Very strong they even got Kerry to join them even after they helped defeat him.
Too bad. I thought she "found" her voice in NH. Now she's lost it again.
What timing. Maybe she has stock in Kleenex - she uses it just before an important primary. Come on people - wake up! Go Obama...
If MRS.BIll CLINTON could not keep an eye on MR.BILL CLINTON this first 8years in the White House, WHY should I as a voter trust her to watch over him for these next 8 years?????
