The Clinton camp's expectations

Posted: Monday, February 04, 2008 5:20 PM by Mark Murray

From NBC's Mark Murray
On the eve of Super Tuesday, the Clinton campaign held a conference call with reporters stressing: 1) that they expect to be ahead in total delegates (including super delegates) after tomorrow's contests; and 2) that the Clinton-Obama race might not be decided until March, April, or even the Democratic convention.

The conference call came on the heels of an Obama campaign memo, which predicted that after tomorrow, they expect to be within 100 delegates of the Clinton camp's count. One could argue that as the race has tightened, the Obama folks are setting that expectations bar quite low.

And perhaps so are the Clinton folks. In the call, communications director Howard Wolfson said that come, February 6, Clinton will be leading Obama in overall delegates, including the unpledged superdelegates -- the governors, members of Congress, and party leaders who also play a role in deciding the Democratic nominee.

Clinton chief strategist Mark Penn noted that the race will be far from over on Tuesday. "We don't expect this to be decided tomorrow," he said. "The delegate hunt will continue."

"The nominating battle," Wolfson added, "is likely to continue well past" Super Tuesday -- possibly into March, April or even the convention.

Penn also said on the call that the polls do show the Clinton-Obama race to be tightening (attributing some of it to an influx of Edwards' support). But he reminded reporters of what happened in New Hampshire. "You really never know how the votes are going to turn out until they are cast."

Chuck - how soon you forget - remember the polls in New Hampshire - we shall overcome!  Hillary '08.

You said Hillary Clinton is best prepared to deal with the economic crisis, uh... based on what?  She's never held a position as an Economist, or a President, or Governor, she's a Junior Senator, just as Senator Obama.   No your facts!
Bravo to your post Sierra, SF!
I was moved by Caroline Kennedy's op-ed piece published in the New York Times on January 27, in which she said that for the first time she could vote for someone to be president who inspired her in the way people tell her that her father inspired them.

Caroline was born the same year I was.  My first historical memories are of the tragic assassination of her father.  I was sitting in Mrs. Verd's first-grade class at Thoreau Elementary in Kirkland, Washington.  As a six-year-old, I didn't know anything about Kennedy's politics or policies (except that we were going to the moon).  I didn't know anything about any personal flaws.  I didn't even know that my parents hadn't voted for him and that my grandparents apparently had disturbing prejudices against his religion and background.  All I knew was that our President had been shot.  There were tears in Mrs. Verd's eyes as she led us out to pledge allegiance to the flag that was lowered to half-mast before we were dismissed from school for the day.  As a memorial, we contributed nickels and pennies to buy a portrait of President Kennedy to hang in our school.

I have a two-year-old grandson who will likely be in first grade in the third year of the next President's term.  It would be so horrible if he had to experience a tragic assassination like I did.  But it would be wonderful if he could have the kind of respect for the President like we shared at Thoreau Elementary.  The divisive politics of the past few decades from the turmoil of the 60's through the maligning of conservatives and liberals to the manipulative division of the country into red and blue states has tended not to give us presidents who inspire us beyond the politics of partisanship.

Barack Obama is not a flawless human nor does he promote policies that will solve all the problems of this nation or the world.  Yet he does appear to have a quality to inspire and lead us towards a better place than we have been.  For the first time I feel like I can vote for someone with whom I share the dream of becoming a better nation and a better people instead of choosing the least objectionable of bad political choices.

Yes, this is idealistic.  Yes, this requires belief in ourselves and a greater cause – that we can actually do it together.  And that is the best thing we can hope for.  I also want a President like Caroline's father.
I'm amazed at the level of hatred that is coming from the Obama supports. For people who want change and in an election where we have two great candidates it's really sad to show such hatred.  Really sad.
Oligarchy is not democracy.  say no to dyNASTY.  Billary put the crown DOWN~
Everybody is saying this election is not about race.  Well why is it that is all I hear coming from the political events that Obama has.  Oprah yesterday said "I'm not voting because he is Black I am voting because he is the best candidate.  If that is the case why mention the race, also Mrs Obama in Utah says it takes someone of another race to bring the country together. All his supporters are black, please don't tell me that race is not an issue we all know it is. What about the endorsement of the nation of islam ?  Please, I hope all you voters going to the polls are paying attention to the facts.
America, your country is wounded and is bleeding profusely . We must elect a president who is capable of treating the ills of this country -- the economy , health care , and the war in Iraq . Who would be able to implement the cure ? The Experience Surgeon or the Charismatic Faith Healer ?
God forbids but if the country or its allies are attack again , what would Borack do  ?  Voters should put a backlast on celebrity endorsements and media biases . Elect someone who can get the job done .

Miss Jaycee, Ventura CA. Again you want to skip facts and go into rhetoric! Gore lost in 2000 because BC did not stump for him, Gore's choice! Congress was lost due to a cultural shift to the right predicated on homophobia/AIDS, and religious necessity, those of us who were there Remember! Also, the Dems have made wrong choices, as they are so well known for, a military weakling such as Obama, will never win a general election! WAKE-UP DREAMERS! All I hear fom whiners is  you can't bring up Obamas past, but we'll keep fighting Hillary on her past. Obama supporters are the hypocrytes they accuse REPS of being. I guess McCain won't be too bad.......
No matter the results, OBAMA has shown America what the power of HOPE is and it will force the establishment to reconsider every step it takes from now on. This is a new America, this is the future already within us and around us. Go America! GO OBAMA!!
Jaycee, Congratulations on a well thought out post.  I agree with you.  If Hillary is the nominee, she takes the sting out of McCain for the neocons.  They WILL unite to vote against her. If it is Obama vs McCain, I predict a 3rd party candidate from the Rush Windbag corner of the Repubs.  They will sabotage McCain any way they can if he is the nominee...unless he is up against Hillary.  Senator Obama needs to be the nominee of the Democratic party.  I will be at the MN caucus supporting Senator Obama.  Please, all of you, especially you young people.  Go to your Caucus or Primary to support Obama.  This is YOUR chance to move leadership to the next generation.  It is too important to ignore.
Andy Parsons writes (Feb. 4; 6:00pm):

"If Obama were a white woman, no one would even consider voting for him based on his record."

True, but if Hillary were a black men then, 1) She'd never have been able to get the experience she touts, and 2) Bill Clinton, with his new black male spouse and despite all his other skills, would have never been elected governor of Arkansas, let alone President of the United States. Heck, he'd have been lucky to get elected to the local school board.

So, Andy, please stop using accusations of misogyny or patriarchy to dismiss other people's democratic choices. Personally, I'm not voting for Hillary because she's an unapologetic liar who has no real life experience among us people who have smile and do what we're told just so we can eat, clothe our kids, and stretch our ever mounting bills pay day to pay day.
Pat Buchanan obviously hates all Democrats.  He may think that Hillary won't be as much of a threat as Obama. Please! Hillary Clinton (she dropped Rodham a long time ago), is brilliant, prepared, experienced... Obama has lofty ideas, but no lofty solutions.  He copies John Edwards, who I also love.  When the Republicans get a hold of Obama's Indonesian address, his cocaine abuse, his Kenyan born father, his stammering and stuttering, they will wipe the floor with him.  He even has trouble pronouncing Massachusetts.  The press favors Obama because he's a new story.  He repeatedly uses lines like the same old thing.  He says the same old things.  We need substance, not hokey bull.  When McCain and Clinton are in the debate, you will see what an experienced, well-spoken President Hillary Clinton will be.  This woman has solutions for our very economically and environmentally damaged country.  96% of the Senators voted the same way about the Iraq war that she did.  The United Nations and the whole world was lied to with phony intelligence that the criminal Bush administration made up.  Give Hillary the respect, admiration, and the vote that she deserves.  No one shows more morality and care for our fellow man than she does.
One of the problems is that reporters don't seem to have any good measure of what the expectations really are. This estimate of how the delegates might turn out suggests that Clinton would have less than a 100 delegate lead after tomorrow night:
http://ccpsblog.blogspot.com/2008/02/super-tuesday-democratic-delegate-count.html
Pat who? It seems like people think this is a survivor show or something. Whenever I see someone typing in all caps you have to just figure they need to calm down a little bit.

Our acting president should be impeached so I really don't think that there is anything anyone has done that compares.. Drug cartels? give me a break,

Oh and do we want "Kennedy" leading the charge? He is old school and Obama can't even unit the Dems let alone the country. Do you honestly think white R's over the age of 50 will vote for him?
"who will have the courage to resist pressure from the narrow-minded bellicose right, who will admit to error when major mistakes are made, and who can look farther over the horizon than most of us"

I guess that explains why he took money from special interests and watered down the bill to require Nuclear Plants to disclose leaks in his state. Why his chief political strategist works for them. Why he has taken over $200,000 in campaign donations from people who he claimed to oppose.. I guess that is why in our neighborhood there isn't any early warning system in place even though on the campaign trail he claims he passed legislation.

Wake up people. Obama is an actor.. a politicians politician. What one thing did he do in Illinois or the Senate that you like? name one
We don't need a hedonist like Clinton-an affirmative action candidate like Obama; a dope-like McCain. .WE NEED a nerd.

LIKE ROMNEY.
-on a short MORMON leash-
If Hillary wins the nominationshe will cause more Republicans to vote. Because of her vote on Iraq the Republicans will come out in droves to vote against herand then McCain will become President. Hillary is obviously the weaker candidate against the Republicans. Obama on the other hand will draw significant support from Independents and even coservative and moderate sRepublicans. They will find it very difficult or even impossible to attack him. Remember South Carolina and the problems Bill Clinton got himself into and his "fairy tale" comments. Obviously Barack is a greater contrast to McCain since he didn't vote for the war and can encourage the antiwar groups, the younger voters,Independents and the Republicans to come out in great numbers. Come on People, THINK. Vote Obama or Hillary WILL LOSE.

Hillary is a blatant liar, a manipulator and untrustworthy.  All this talk from HRC supporters about her "experience" etc.  Not one has yet articulated what that means exactly, nor can any specify her platform with any kind of detail beyond vague notions.  Meanwhile HRC divides, villifies and displays her incredible egomaniacal personality.  And yes, I've been democrat all my life, voted for Bill (2x) and used to wonder at all the Hillary haters.  She has shown her colors, she clearly ran for NY senate (yes, folks, she is a Freshman senator, just what she accuses Obama of being; before that she was a president's wife; her hubby was younger at the inaugural than Obama will be next January.  Interesting note of total blatant hypocrisy.  She is one of the biggest benefactors of lobbyists.  Obama is not taking any such contributions.  If HRC's role as first lady means real substantive experience, then she has no excuse for voting for the war given her stance because she of all people should have seen bullshit for what it was.  Since she didn't vote against, I can only assume she was doing what most first ladies do.  Admirable, but it doesn't count against real solid experience in state government and in the trenches of real community involvement). As some have said, it isn't what you do when everyone is  looking, it is what you do in the shadows before anyone knew who you were.  Only one D candidate can say with pride).  Her health plan failed.  Her new plan is even worse than communism.  At least Castro has the decency to pay for the insurance instead of requiring those at the lowest tier to subsidize those above them.  She should have either taken the freemarket route with incentives like Obama, or been ready to take criticism.  And of couse she wasn't and now she dodges questions left and right.  As for her Social Security issues, what I want to know is what fireman or policeman (save the chief) makes between $100K and $200K a year.  Her bullshit unsubstantiated alarmist claims need to stop and she needs to put her selfish narcissism aside for the better good of the country.  In my view it's Obama or McCain.  I want Obama in office more than anything because in my view he has far more substance than his detractors assert, and he is far more presidential.  He also has substantial support of Republicans in his state.  That speaks volumes.  Where is HRC for Arkansas?  And can anyone really imagine Vlad Putin rallying around simply because Hillary cried?  Give me a break!  And who can honestly believe the tears really meant what she says they did.  Like the world would be so lost without her.  It would be one thing if by some luck this was 2004 and she was running against Bush in the general and was losing that she felt desperate.  But how can Obama be a bad thing?

If Hillary gets the nomination thanks to the establishment media etc. and remaining Dems who have no guts, and no vision and no ability to see what's happening in their country, then I'm going for McCain.  I disagree with at least two of his major positions but at least he is consistent and I respect him for not pandering.  At least McCain, like Obama, can look across the aisle with respect, with a different viewpoint perhaps but ultimately with the view of getting things done, not "fighting" for the sake of a fight.  The former is leadership.  I thought I'd never get to this point as a Democrat (potentially voting Republican should it come to that), but there you have it.  And so far, a number of Democrats I know agree.  False steps on the part of Dems will prove their ultimate downfall.  Unity and rational compromise is key.
It is simply amazing how many people can sell their souls (and votes) over pure political rhetoric. 'CHANGE -  YES WE CAN"....this is what the excitement is all about...???

Intelligent and insightful people would look "beyond the rhetoric" and compare the records of the two candidates. If you gave someone Hillary Clinton's resume and Barack Obama's resume...and muted the rhetoric from both candidates... it would be a LANDSLIDE WIN for Hillary Clinton.

But...thanks to the media...and the ability of Barack Obama to "speak like" Martin Luther King, Jr and other famous orators in history...people are quick to lose their senses.

- People voting for Barack Obama is voting for STYLE over SUBSTANCE.

- People voting for Hillary Clinton is voting for SUBSTANCE over STYLE.

At a time of war and economic recession....it would be plain stupid to place anyone in office with no foreign policy experience, very little experience in Washington, and a private background that leaves room for questioning (his "unabashedly black" church and his muslim upbringing).

The last time this country voted for someone with little experience in Washington but alot of RHETORIC....we ended up with our current President George Bush. We cannot...and should not...make the same mistake three times in a row.

why does the media get all points slanted towards  towards OH BAMA!! They always criticize the Clintons. Just this morning, Michelle Oh Bamah was interviewed on ABC -  and  she clearly expressed  that  she  would not want  her  family  to  go  through another campaign experience  if  Oh Bamah loses.  Hey  lady, if  you  really  love  your  country  and  your  husband wants  to  serve  his  country  then deal with it.  The  Clintons  clearly, in their hearts, want to serve - that's  why  I  support them.  I am a democrat - but if  Oh Bamah gets the nomination (i keep praying for his loss),  then  I  will  definitely go with McCain.  I  know, in  his  heart  and mind, and  so  with  Mrs. McCain,  that  they want to serve  this great country.
All the talk about Clinton's vote on Iraq has me puzzeled.  She won't admit it was a mistake but says she was mislead by Bush.  Nobody mentions the Iran vote "recently" that she supported that allowed Bush once again to use military force in a country much more difficule to defeat and much less divided against itself.  I know she doesn't want to "appear" soft but damn she could not have been misled on this on.  More of the politics as usual.

Obama's speech at the convention will seal the deal.
Doesn't Gary think that eating Rice is bad for your Hart?
Media is with Obama and they only promoting him paricular CNN and and Tucker and Chris mr.hardball as well.if they play nutral roll in this primary may outcome could get more delegates.all black folks population behind Obama and white young voters supporing him for a change, but i don't know what kind of change he wants.think twice before you vote.

Op-Ed Columnist

Clinton, Obama, Insurance

By PAUL KRUGMAN

Published: February 4, 2008
The principal policy division between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama involves health care. It’s a division that can seem technical and obscure — and I’ve read many assertions that only the most wonkish care about the fine print of their proposals.

But as I’ve tried to explain in previous columns, there really is a big difference between the candidates’ approaches. And new research, just released, confirms what I’ve been saying: the difference between the plans could well be the difference between achieving universal health coverage — a key progressive goal — and falling far short.
Specifically, new estimates say that a plan resembling Mrs. Clinton’s would cover almost twice as many of those now uninsured as a plan resembling Mr. Obama’s — at only slightly higher cost.

Let’s talk about how the plans compare.

Both plans require that private insurers offer policies to everyone, regardless of medical history. Both also allow people to buy into government-offered insurance instead.

And both plans seek to make insurance affordable to lower-income Americans. The Clinton plan is, however, more explicit about affordability, promising to limit insurance costs as a percentage of family income. And it also seems to include more funds for subsidies.

But the big difference is mandates: the Clinton plan requires that everyone have insurance; the Obama plan doesn’t.

Mr. Obama claims that people will buy insurance if it becomes affordable. Unfortunately, the evidence says otherwise.

After all, we already have programs that make health insurance free or very cheap to many low-income Americans, without requiring that they sign up. And many of those eligible fail, for whatever reason, to enroll.

An Obama-type plan would also face the problem of healthy people who decide to take their chances or don’t sign up until they develop medical problems, thereby raising premiums for everyone else. Mr. Obama, contradicting his earlier assertions that affordability is the only bar to coverage, is now talking about penalizing those who delay signing up — but it’s not clear how this would work.

So the Obama plan would leave more people uninsured than the Clinton plan. How big is the difference?

To answer this question you need to make a detailed analysis of health care decisions. That’s what Jonathan Gruber of M.I.T., one of America’s leading health care economists, does in a new paper.

Mr. Gruber finds that a plan without mandates, broadly resembling the Obama plan, would cover 23 million of those currently uninsured, at a taxpayer cost of $102 billion per year. An otherwise identical plan with mandates would cover 45 million of the uninsured — essentially everyone — at a taxpayer cost of $124 billion. Over all, the Obama-type plan would cost $4,400 per newly insured person, the Clinton-type plan only $2,700.

That doesn’t look like a trivial difference to me. One plan achieves more or less universal coverage; the other, although it costs more than 80 percent as much, covers only about half of those currently uninsured.

As with any economic analysis, Mr. Gruber’s results are only as good as his model. But they’re consistent with the results of other analyses, such as a 2003 study, commissioned by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, that compared health reform plans and found that mandates made a big difference both to success in covering the uninsured and to cost-effectiveness.

And that’s why many health care experts like Mr. Gruber strongly support mandates.

Now, some might argue that none of this matters, because the legislation presidents actually manage to get enacted often bears little resemblance to their campaign proposals. And there is, indeed, no guarantee that Mrs. Clinton would, if elected, be able to pass anything like her current health care plan.

But while it’s easy to see how the Clinton plan could end up being eviscerated, it’s hard to see how the hole in the Obama plan can be repaired. Why? Because Mr. Obama’s campaigning on the health care issue has sabotaged his own prospects.

You see, the Obama campaign has demonized the idea of mandates — most recently in a scare-tactics mailer sent to voters that bears a striking resemblance to the “Harry and Louise” ads run by the insurance lobby in 1993, ads that helped undermine our last chance at getting universal health care.

If Mr. Obama gets to the White House and tries to achieve universal coverage, he’ll find that it can’t be done without mandates — but if he tries to institute mandates, the enemies of reform will use his own words against him.

If you combine the economic analysis with these political realities, here’s what I think it says: If Mrs. Clinton gets the Democratic nomination, there is some chance — nobody knows how big — that we’ll get universal health care in the next administration. If Mr. Obama gets the nomination, it just won’t happen.

Finally the truth is starting to come out about Obama's sorry healthcare plan! Obama is telling lies to America when he tells us his healthcare plan is "universal" and will cover everyone. Obama's plan will leave MILLIONS of Americans without any insurance. Obama is against affordable universal healthcare coverage for EVERY American. The Obama plan is bogus and wrong for America.

The choice is clear: Vote for Hillary!

Estamos Contigo Hillary!!!
Me and 3 of my family members voted absentee 3 weeks ago. We all voted for Obama. I think Obama will get more absentee votes than expected.
The Clinton's served their agenda for eight years!! The gutless coward destroyed the unity of our Armed forces, Millions of Illegals flowed across the borders. Kissed the a@@es of those who would bring death and destruction , Employed corruption, Boldly stood before the people and told one bald faced lie after another. Served the office of the President as a slime ball trailer trash bum, brought scandal after scandal before the people, wasted millions dollars being investigated,  And the list is never ending  ""scandal  ""  open aggression towards race and the common man.. supports a socialist meaningless want to be President! Voting for Clinton will be the same as voting for Hitler!!!!!
I will bet Hillary wont win the nomination tommorrow i called the media and gave them a heads up to expect the worst..Only they forgot to tell you...You use the media like puppetts at your will...Well hopefully the voters will tune you out...Change   Yes we can   Independents wake up and vote for change...no politics as usual.......Change Washington......
jaycee--

you are tres' cool and quite smart.  Thanks for sharin' your stuff.

Let's be hoping half of the nation can finish what we got started here in the hinterlands.

can i run for president i have done nothing for the country but i have been a community leader for 12 years and i have sat on 4 boards for youth council 3 city councils and a number of other charities i dont have any special interest in my back pocket ,,but hey i'm a great sales person and can talk too,,, throw the race card in and heck i'm a hell of a guy....please people you are all being sold on OBAMA dont fall for it ,,, no real experience ....please dont give him the military and the world.... he is just not ready obama 2016 sounds more realistic to me........hrc in 08' dont hate appriciate... 35 yrs experience.....
MSNBC an even handed news station?  Hardly. Why is it their only reporter that sounds remotely fair is Dan Abrams.  On his program tonight he reported that an independent survey group found that 83% of media stories were favorable to Obama while only 47% of Clinton stories were positive.  What ever happended to fairly reporting events and letting people make up their own minds?  Obama is the media darling yet he voted "present" 128 times while Illinois state Senator, and in his first 2 years in the U.S. Senate has missed 37% of the votes.  Talk about an "empty suit." This is who the media thinks is the better candidate?  Or are they simply trying to drum up a closer contest to make their job seem more important. Why is it that Obama's surge happened around the time the media started promoting him 24/7?

Obama would make a great preacher. He talks like a preacher, acts like a preacher. I wouldn't vote for a preacher.

He will NOT be our next president.

Vote Hillary on Feb. 5th.

Our Presidency, being the highest office in the land,
should be occupied by someone with more than scum bag
morals.  I am not a conservative, but I cannot accept
any more national leaders who make the Oval
Room into a brothel and rent the Lincoln bed (which
belongs to the American people) to donators to their personal finances. Neither do I appreciate the
millions of dollars given by Middle Eastern financiers
to the Clintons every year.  Hillary says there should
be more transparency to this, but Bill will never allow that.  This is Bill running for the Presidency,
Hillary is his front woman.  Can anyone stand eight
more years of Bill Clinton as president?  Hillary could not run for anything without his being her back
bone.
Hillary has a proven record and the experience.
If Obama becomes the Democratic Nominee, his position will change. He has no experience and only talks about "Change" with no substance. In the end, all of his advisors and cabinet will be the same people that have been in Washington for years.
I wonder if Ted Kennedy's son Patrick will be in his cabinet ? Maybe that is why he is supporting Obama.
I wonder when Rose Kennedy is going to come out to support Obama.
All the money wasted on campaigning by all the candidates could have been used to feed the poor.

"Triangulation" and "centrism" very true key words from Sierra, SF regarding the Clintons' spin of politics.  Maybe this will get your attention all Clintons fans.

Dick Morris, some of you may have heard, was a Clinton dirty strategist back in the 90's.  Whether you believe him or not, it's worth checking it out and no I'm not affiliated to this site or anybody. I just got linked to this after checking some profiles.
Oh yeah, if you want, check out Dick Morris' profile to see his analysis has a good point.

Dirty Politics is all I can see and you guys just went for the bait as usual.

I have been reading all the gossip that most of you have been writing which comes to show how our society has become a bunch of muppets and degenerates!!!!
WHY is the young generation so stupid and naive yes Obama is not a bad candidate yes for a black man he is much better than the the Al Sharpton's and Jesse Jackson's of the world but what has this guy really accomplished how easy are young voters influenced by quick talk Yes the Clintons are no angels but you must remember the Clinton years in the White House were good knock the Clintons all you want but they are true fighters and left this country with a surplus of money which this idiot George Bush Jr spent in the first six(6) months he was in office before 911 so wake up people the 90's were not the best but compared to the late 80's and today no doubt the economy was better in the Clinton years another note which Americans did not see the economy after 911 began to tank what did the current administration do they had the fed lower the interest rates had all the mortgage programs to get people to buy homes no money down loans that had no stated income interst only loans WAKE UP PEOPLE all this was a scam this administration knew these people were sooner or later were gonna lose their homes instead of dealing with the problems they extended it that's all they did what your seeing now should of hit us around the end of 2003 into 2004 they prolonged the recession so Bush would not be a one term President like his father. I believe on the Democratic side Hillary is the better candidate but no matter who wins Hillary or Obama in the end a republican will take the white house because there are still enough americans in the middle of this counrty that are not liberal enough to elect a woman or a black man as President. In my opinion BRING BACK THE CLINTON YEARS and let's make history!!!!!!
Obama is a good preacher man. He talks a great deal
He preaches to us and a lot fo people like that. Kinda like going to church and listening to a good sermon. However, talk is cheap. At least Hillary's speeches have substance. If I want a sermon I'll go to church. If I want a president who does more than talk.... I'll vote for Hillary. So should everyone.

HILLARY FOR PRESIDENT. VOTE HILLARY FEB 5TH.
Wow, what nasty comments calling Hillary supporters sickos.   That says a lot about the Republicans who are scared to have to run against Sen. Clinton.
She has alread been investigated and turned inside out, so they don't have any thing else to take her down.  So, they now have people in the mainstream media to say that she has too many negatives, isn't likeable, and so on and so on.  Well Google for the
article in The City Edition, "Karl Rove Bamboozles American Electorate - Again."   You will see just what the Republicans are doing to steal this election again.  Obama has been given a pass...no tough questions to answer...remember how Bush got a pass and look what we got.

I want to know something about the person for whom I will be voting for -- a good resume is important.
Check out what Maya Angelou said about why Hillary is the girl for her to be President.  Oh, you didn't know that Maya Angelou has endorsed Hillary Clinton.
Well wonder why not??????  This is the most biased
media coverage I have ever witnessed.  How to feed a movement, and Americans I wish you would vote with your minds, not your emotional "moment."  I don't want a "moment".. I want a future for our country and my family.

I just heard David Schuster speak out against the Clinton's daughter making phone calls for Mother.
The former Governor of California reminded him that this is America. Shame on you, David Schuster.  This just goes to show you that women are still fighting for their rights to even have freedom of speech.

This just goes to show you that women are still fighting for their rights to even have freedom of speech.

it's a shame that such a gifted man as bill clinton is or was a liar both to his wife and to the american people. remember " I did not have sex with that woman." Hilary's evasions and distortions of the facts are very troubling. I sincerely hope that she does not prevail. If she does it will be politics as usual I fear. Both she and McCain seem to be willing to take any position that would gender votes. They both seem to obsessed with the presidency. I don't know what drives McCain. The clintons money and power I suspect. Obama is a life preserver thrown to the drowning. God only knows what success his presidency would have, but he's at least given me hope.
FYI...
Mr. Obama's spiritual advisor/minister is an anti-white, anti-Israel friend of Louis Farrakhan. This leader of his church is quite the radical and he advises Obama on everything (name is Jeremiah Wright).  Add this to Obama's deceptive ties to Exelon Energy Co. and Mr. Rezko and his empty rhetoric...this makes for a scary scenario.
LOL @ AJ's post... he talks like he's in support of Clinton then says Obama's the underdog just like the NY Giants.... ummm, you do realize the giants won right? You nub.
If Barack Obama wins in 08, it will be like David Norman Dinkins as president.
David Norman Dinkins for President!
this country is in a lot of mess we need a team like the clintons they are smart they know what to do to get us back the way other nation use to look at us with pride i like Obama but the mess that we are in is too much for him to handle.

i will vote for Hillary she and Husband have the brain to move us foward

Hillary Hillary Hillary
i love Hillary
If we do hear spin from the Billary camp that they have "commitments" from Superdelegates which will give them the edge, please understand that that those commitments can change. Any Superdelegate can change their decision right up to the vote at the convention. Whatever they might tell either campaign, their self interest is in voting for the strongest candidate. I believe that will be Barack Obama, but time will tell.
