Obama is a fluffy, phoney nice politician who would get eaten alive by the repub attack machine. He is toast.
The big news here is that, given McCain's popularity with Hispanic voters and Obama's continuing underperformance with these voters, an Obama nomination would put California in play.  Dems cannot win without California, and cannot waste the considerable resources that would be needed to try and defend against the Republicans taking the state.  Ipso facto, Obama is a no-go.  Surely the party pros--who are going to decide this one via the Super delegates--can see this.
Alex - Hillary herself acknowledged it was a draw.  Honestly, will you people wake up?  We're in the same house and the same party here, and this race is close enough that it's going to have to lead to some kind of peaceful negotiation if we're going to knock off McCain convincingly.  Let's just congratulate each other and move on to Louisiana.
Ron,Tx. Look at the time the numbers were posted, it says 11:15.  The numbers are correct.  Just because Obama won by popular votes, the delegate numbers are what count
Better for Clinton to put this inexperienced, hot air little man out of his misery than see the repubs crucify him later.
I completely agree with you, Alex Hernandez. I'm tired of the tv reporters: it shows they are Pro- Obama. They hardly mention Clinton and if they do is to say sometyhing not positive about her but pro Obama. I'm a hispanic woman and I'm very dissapinted with the media coverage. It seems like they ALL have elcted McCain and Obama for the presidential elections. Perhaps, MEN are petrified of a woman as a president. White males will give their vote to any man but not to a woman. What are you men so afreid of? This situation demonstrates men insecurities... Go Hillary. She will be the real CHANGE. Get use to smart women doing excellent work. Like men woman can do it and maybe do it better than men. Give women an opportunity to demonstrate that: YES WE CAN!
I think the fact that Obama won so many more states--and "red states"--shows what the general election would look like:  Obama appeals to people almost everywhere, whereas Clinton can only win the staunchly Democratic regions.  This is why I hope the good people of Texas, Ohio, Washington state and the DC area are thinking in terms of beating McCain.  One last time:  Obama beats McCain; McCain beats Clinton.  None other than Arie Fleischer said last night, "Republicans would like nothing better than for the Dem's to nominate Hillary Clinton--it would give them a reason to go vote."
I always look forward to seeing Ron TX with his pro-Obama spin.  This morning is no exception.  Of course, he forgets that Obama has yet to win a single major industrial state (except IL, of course), to show that he can win the larger contest in November.  Go Ron!  Go!
I find it AMAZING that people would want a person like both of the Clintons in the White house again. These are the people who lied and were willing to let a young female page (Monica) have her life ruined just to save themselves. Not that Monica was a saint but how low of a 40+ year old human being would be more than willing to throw a young intern in the White House to the wolves to save themselves!?!? Bill Clinton took adavantage of a young female who was enamored by the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES flirting with her.
The Clintons lie to each other and for each other to get what they want. Obama is simply above all of that!!! We have had liars in the White House for a LONG TIME with Clinton and George Bush, why not see what it is like with an honest person who would be faithfull to his wife, the country and the people he serves?!?!?
hillary clinton is arguably the worst thing that has ever happened to the democratic party, her perverse use of the race and gender card have divided the party like never before, she has taken more money from more lobbyists than any other candidate in the history of the united states all the while claiming to be the champion of the less fortunate, her campaign staff is a 'who's, who' of the most dishonest political operatives in washington d.c., this is the same classy individual that stole property from the whitehouse when she exited, and her touted experience was for the most part defending the same corporate entities that have raped the citizens of this country into the poorhouse, her financial history is cluttered with shady dealings some of which were never resolved, and you have the gall to speak of her as someone with integrity and scruples, spare me, her record speaks clearly for itself, she cannot win the general election if it is conducted lawfully, and she should not
Hey Richard, I have to agree with you, plus the delegate count is not complete from California of New Mexico.

Here are the latest numbers. I just heard Obama on a news bulletin lie and said he was ahead in delegates too… what can you expect if they have their leader spinning.

Hillary Clinton
Pledged: 632
Superdelegates: 193
Total: 825
Obama
Barack Obama
Pledged: 626
Superdelegates: 106
Total: 732
Looks like Hillary is ahead by super delegates and pledged too…
I like BOTH democratic candidates...but have noticed where Obama is a tremendously talented public speaker...he seems to do a lot of  "we need to do this and that"  but no details or ideas of HOW he wants to accomplish his goals.  Clinton seems to always detail how she will accomplish the goals in her speeches. She tells us where she will get the money for programs and such.  Obama  remains vague and seems to just give inspiring speeches of "Yes we can"  but how ????
I come away from his speeches and scratch my head and say..."So what is he going to actually do except preach "hope" ?  Anybody else get that feeling ?
America need to seek ways to improve their image to the world, because it is not pretty right now, moving away from the normal will help this country restore a positive image. You should give a man like Barak a chance to change the typical face of the LAND OF THE FREE AND THE HOME OF THE BRAVE
