I think she wants Edwards as a VP Choice. Deperate tatics by a desperate campaign.

Why would anyone think that Clinton would be a "fighter" against the people that have paid for her campaign: special interests, lobbyists, pacs, big corporations (oil, drugs)?

Its a shame that Edwards might have to be second fiddle to either Clinton or Obama.  Be that as it may, I hope that he ultimately plays a significant role in the incoming president's administration, irrespective of who prevails.

Once again...  Hillary will say anything or do anything to get elected.  I can just imagine how many empty promises she made to Edwards when they met.   Edwards was a change agent as is Obama... he has nothing in common with the old "status quo" as he put it.  He should be true to hiimself and endorse Obama.  

I cannt see Senator Edwards endorse Obama because Clinton is out to help the same people as him. Look at obamas voters rich collage people and they dont let us forget it.Hillery has workers and the people John Edwards says he is for and i believe him.

My message to Barack-
Let Edwards support HC if he wants to. Don't pander to him - he lost and you are winning. He is like a lobbyist asking for favors and you need to avoid giving lobbyists power.

Clinton shouldn't bother with Edwards. She's getting stomped in Maine. Hillary should try to win a state.  

oh  how  quickly they turn . it's just great  to watch them all flip  flop  for  votes . Alls  fair  in gathering  votes, right .

I hope Edwards will work to make the system of voteing more fair.Caucus are ok but doesnt give everyone a chance to  vote. That doesnt seem right,Also they dont have a private vote and are made to change there vote. Does this seem fair? I think Edwards would agree and help fix it so I think he would go with Hillery.

Edwards would show dignity and statesmanship in endorsing Obama, since both have fought for those in poverty for so long and with whom he agrees on so many issues. If he endorses Clinton, who has been a friend of the rich, with whom he has disagreed so often, it would end his political career in the shame of hypocrisy.

If you read the campaign donation lists, Hillary is a wholly owned subsidiary of the K Street lobbyists in Washington.  If Edwards meant what he said when he spoke about Obama as a fellow change candidate -- and I think he did -- the choice is clear.  (Bonus: Obama consistently polls stronger against McCain than Hillary does.)

Why is MSNBC giving zero coverage of the Maine democratic caucus?  Not even a scroll at the bottom of the screen!  Come on, it's only 24 delegates and it's a Sunday, but still!  Seems as though "the place for politics" should offer numbers for each match up, even with the little states.

Obama lovers: I was at a function last night composed of about 100 suburban Republican white guys. Don't bye the cross-over hype; there is no way they will vote for Obama.  They laugh at anyone who thinks they will.

This is the MSNBC kill-the-Clintons narrative. But the US at large will be the losers if Obama is the Dem nominee. He will be laid to waste by the Republicans, ruining his potential--which is all he has--and putting another Republican nut-job in the White House.

Beware of the candidate who is one speech and one bumper sticker deep. He won't wear well over time...and it's an eternity until November. By then, even CHuck and the gang may get bored and start trashing Obama.

Get a clue!

I find it interesting that most of the states that Obama has won have been states that do a caucaus.  Certainly, he has won in states with primaries but those states have also had huge African-American populations.  Primaries much more resemble the general election that we will have in November.  I'm not saying that he can't win in November but I do find it interesting that he has lost all the primaries in truly big states except the ones with large African-American voters. I am a Hillary supporter (I won't lie about that) but it does drive me nuts when people say she can't win in November when he has lost plenty of states that have a voting process that more closely resembles the November elections.

3 reasons I, as an Edwards supporter, cannot support Hillary Clinton.

I admire John Edwards for not pandering to the media and polls.  Unlike other people who seem to be swept up in the wave of celebrity and hype surrounding these campaigns, Edwards obviously is taking a break for thoughtful reflection and is listening to every candidate before making a support decision. Clinton and her proven history of serving the poor and disenfrachised should procure his vote.

Polls mean nothing. the only real chance that Democrats have is to have a joint ticket with Clinton/Obama or Obama/Clinton. But, I'm sure they'll ruin their chances of that. this is the same party that couldn't select a strong enough candidate to beat Bush four years ago. It's too bad. I'd love to see an end to the blood for oil war. I guess I'll get to say "I told you so" to all the Dems out there when Obama gets beaten by McCain. Something that doesn't have to be so if the party would simply make it clear that a joint ticket is the only viable chance they have against Republicans. Oh.. and for all you "Obama means change" people. Where do you think his record donations are coming from? I pledge you they are from the same lobbyists that are paying the way for every candidate with a real chance at winning. My God,  but you're naiive...

It strikes me as strange that John Edwards would endorse Hilary Clinton, as he labeled her "status quo" duirng his campaign. Politics does make strange bedfellows!

Hillary is worried sick about Obama and what he's done to her campaign. This wasn't supposed to be a contest. It was supposed to be a coronation from coast to coast and it is anything but. She canned--I don't care what Solis-Doyle says--her campaign manager and is also trying to court an endorsement out of Edwards to grab his supporters.

Look at their campaigns. Hers is backed by big corporations and lobbyists, the very people that Edwards is fighting furiously against. Obama has not taken a cent from lobbyists or big corporations. His campaign is most supportive of the ideals of Edwards--get people up out of poverty and into work and bringing people up through education. I would love  to see an Edwards endorsement to Obama after their meeting this week. That would be all but the death knell to Clinton's campaign. After Obama wins big on Tuesday as is predicted, even the super delegates will see the light and begin moving over.

The momentum is certainly pointing in this direction.

First, my hopes and prayers go out to Senator Edwards and his family.  I sincerely hope they are all well and happy.

Second, in many states, caucuses were set up to protect the voter because in a caucus a political machine cannot take the vote away from the actual choice made by the people.  For example, In a caucus, no-one can pack a ballot box, make a ballot box disappear or as we may have seen more recently, rig an electronic voting machine.  In recent years, caucuses have become the domain of the political elites, but not this year.  Instead, there has been overwhelming public participation everywhere.

Third, I sincerely believe in campaign finance reform.  I think this is one way we can take back our Country from those who only think about the interest they are representing.  Senator Edwards and Senator Obama agree with me on this issue.  Senator Clinton gives lip service to the idea, but has taken more money from special interest PACS and lobbyists than any other candidate in nominating history.

I hope Senator Edwards will be true to his core belief.  If he is, I believe  Senator Edwards will endorse Senator Obama.  Yet, it is Senator Edwards' choice to make and I don't think any of us should put any demands on him.

I would be surprised if Edwards endorses Clinton.  Every thing he has said about special interest influence in Washington would ring false.  See an article from the Dec. 10 LA Times about Clinton's use of pork to private corporations to benefit her campaign.  Here are a couple of paragraphs from the article:

But The Times review found that Clinton does it on a different scale.

The truth matters more than the lies some of you fake souls throw-up in these blogs.   Does the truth mean anything to you at all?   Leaving bogus links to more lies in order to discredit a person whom you know is ten folds better than Hillary makes you small minded.  Hillary's Latino support exist due to her weak immigration proposals that threatens Americas security and the ability of law enforcement officials to do their jobs.   She wants to have border security but refuses to carry-out anything that will hinder immigrants.   Hillary refuses to disclose her taxes to her supporters but says she will after the nomination..  

Edwards is a wuss. A quiter, a sell out. As a onetime supporter of John Edwards who donated money to his campaign. I am sorry as a broke dic* dog. Fighting the good fight for your beliefs or for the sake of being a patriot is huge and often fought by people capable of respect and being a leader. I have lost respect for that person. Leaders ane not weak.

I am an Edwards supporter...I have not been able to bring myself to support either Clinton or Obama..their message is the same, their policies almost identical...only Edwards had the passion of his convictions and was truly progressive...but if either Clinton or Obama takes Johns ideas and makes them their own, and/or appoints him to a powerful position such as U.S. Attorney General..(I think the whole stinking mess at the DOJ would be resolved and there would be at long last, accountability!!!) Then on Johns okay I would support either Obama or Clintons bid for the nomination.

Pacheck..you remind me of the sports fans who loves "their team" until they loose money betting on them..then they hate them, and call them names, or the guy who beats his wife and when she finally has enough and walks out..you tell every body she was a slut and slept around...sour grapes..grow up, you childish little s**t
