Jeb Bush endorses Mccain

Posted: Monday, February 11, 2008 4:11 PM by Domenico Montanaro

From NBC's Domenico Montanaro
Jeb Bush endorsed McCain, saying in a statement, "John McCain is a patriot and devoted conservative leader. Like no other candidate in the field, John McCain has made tremendous sacrifices for this nation. He is beholden to no interest other than that of the public good. He is determined and steadfast in his commitment to reducing the burden of high taxes, restoring the people's trust in their government, and winning the war against radical Islamic extremists. It is with pride that I announce my endorsement of John McCain for president."

ooooooh...all of the scared Republicans blog at once.  Safety in unity, heh?  You are entering another era fools. Prepare to choke on the dust.  Obama's dramatic rise to prominence, coupled with a likely split amongst conservatives and the Republican party, spell doom for the post-W GOP.
Dave/Tn

The Clinton's name tainted more than Bush's? Where have you been for the last 7 yrs? Does it take that long for "news" to get to Tn? Why would anyone in their right mind say such a thing? Oh, that's right, you are Dave from Tn and have not gotten too many accurate statements from reliable sources lately. Just keep making things up Dave (simple minds, simple pleasures)!
As a reminder, in justice weblink below, i have found 44 donors to Hillary's Campaign - all from inside the Bill Clinton Pardons.  Now thats what I call true friends.

Regardless of how popular the Bush family is right now, if Hillary squeaks by and wins the presidency, Jeb will run in 2012 and/or 2016. We have unfoturnately not heard the end of Jeb.

But Jeb for VP in 2008? Oh come on. I think McCain will chose Joe Leiberman for his running mate, and piss off the evangelicals in his party; this would be a BRILLIANT move. He would beat Clinton handily, and might even be able to beat Obama. AND he wouldn't have to pander to the religious right because they did not elect him.

One last thing:

As Americans of either party, it is our duty NOT to ever elect a Clinton or Bush to office ever again.
To vote for party over country is detrimental to our democracy. Our government has been held hostage by these two families for the last 30 years; it has become an OLIGARCHY.

I believe that it is possible for the country to come together to solve problems in a bipartisan fashion, whether it be led by Obama or McCain.
McCain Want to be president no matter how. He will lye to his teeth ans sell his soul to the devil. If Obama win the nomination he will use The swift boat tactics to destroy Obama. The people are fascinated by Obama and ignoring reality.
We need to win but McCain will destroy him by launching a backdoor campaign insinuating that Obama is the "12th Imam" is he really? can we make sure that Obama is legit? What about if he is not?
well it will be your fault, I will vote for Hillary so as not to feel guilty God forgive us.
Who's Jeb Bush??
McCain Bush 08' Perfect ticket for 2008....At least for the Democrats

Campaign 101 Lester. He who leads talks to the voter. She who trails demands debates.
I have never in my life (Im 46) voted for a democrat until now.. OBAMA is a great motivator and I feel I can trust him to do right as President.

My friends (republicans) are ALL shocked at me!

Im proud to vote for him

Chad Brock
People should not talk down about mccain, when people vote for clintons. they sold the united states to a communist country with the #1 trade agreement. clinton should be in jail and you people vote for her and run down mccain. something bad wrong with the people in this country
John McCain is a true American hero, who loves this country we live in.  God bless America
My guess is that McCain is smarter than to pick Jeb Bush as his VP. That could really hurt him. And since he will be 72 years old in Jan '09, people will pay attention to whom the VP will be who would succeed him should something happen to the man. One thing for sure, nobody wants another Bush no matter what the circumstances.
How sad, only bad vibes going out for McCain or our
President.
After reading all the statements, which must be from
Democrats,shame on you!
I want a Preident who will protect our well being in
the USA!  President Bush has kept our county protected
since the 9/11 attack.

No obama reather campagin not debate i don't blame him clinton is just a sore loser she just thought she'd win every thing & be the nom by now but it back fired on her & bill.
Making sacrifice for ones country doesn't make you worthy of being President. It also doesn't mean you're a conservative. McCain is neither.

I thank John McCain for serving his country and for all that he went through for the sake of our freedom. But lets be honest, he can't win because conservatives no that he's not a conservative. We learned enough from President Bush.

Now the Bush family lines up "in public" behind McCain while Bush is on record as having been meeting with Hillary in secret... to share secret information on terrorist threats and Iraq with her.

Something stinks in Denmark... and it's floating all the way there from Washington.
As an African American, McCain is the best man for the job.
shouldn't the democrats actually welcome such news????
Another Bush in the white house! No wonder your enemies are in the middle east-  Americans are like Arabs. You believe in dynasties! Soon Americans will start suicide bombings- any way where is the difference? you are bombing the world already indescreminately just like a suicide bomber. DAN MUSHABE
I DO NOT EVEN WORRY ABOUT JOHN McCAIN RUNNING TO BE THE PRESIDENT. AMERICANS ARE NOT GOING TO VOTE HIM IN-THE WAY HE MOVES UP AND DOWN LIKE A HYENA ON THE PULPIT NEITHER ARE THEY GOING TO BRING ANOTHER CLINTON IN, THE BALL IS IN THE COURT OF OBAMA.
Run Jeb Bush as Vice President?  The only thing that is a worse hyperbole than that would be running Cheney as the incumbent.  Not even the GOP is missing that much of a loop.

These primaries are rigged.  Only with the Dems its rather obvious (superdelegates?; note Hillary's hatred of "undemocratic" caucuses - like those things you lose every time because fraud can't occur?), but Huckabee is playing some role as he has throughout this election.  I can't think he would be VP now, but something with these idiots that will make perfect sense AFTER it happens, and we are all missing it now....

ignore the pundits, they know nothing
i don't think this decision is prudent at this juncture.....is jeb bush still  "packin' heat",   doin' that thing that they do down there?.....is this an endorsement?...is it news?...who the hell is jeb bush anyway....this is the best they can do???
You guys havenothing better todo than bash Bush...get life's. He's not eveil...he's just doingajo none of you could. You try getting elected twice. Now you want to bash Jeb...one ofthe most popular Florida governors ever. Just being someone who can say how it sucks to be Jeb in a web forum...lol...must suck to be you Bill in Corpus Christi...
Where do all these malicious and spiteful people come from?  Have they nothing better to do than make these outrageous comments?  I particularly admire Obama and McCain and find it contemptible that these completely unsupported comments are thrown out there.  Get a life folks!
Terrific!Another worst years for America. Bush is bad but Mccain would be worst.Bush's legacies in America is to bring it down.I remember 1991 debate btwn Bush Snr and Clinton when Bush said "America's economy is doing great" while the nation is being faced with its worst unemployment in history. They've done it again and want to continue under the guise of mccain. If they ruin America , they will run to the Gulf and live there!
Jeb was successful against Al gore but this time he will fail. His endosement means nothing to America.American People will fight back.
Jeb is just doing his part to perpetuate the bush dynasty of wars of choice, deficit spending, money to rebuild iraq and afghanistan but not America, torture in our names, the american cowboy mentality of yer fer or agin us, more of the chickenhawk talkers (they support the troops and war they just don't want to participate in it), more intolerance on behalf of the religious nuts...it will go on and on if mccain becomes president....
Stupid foolish democrats did it again by probably nominating the nice guy candidate who wants change. So the repubs pull a McCain/Bush ticket and attack this Obama guy for being a Muslim, a Louis Farrakan lover and an ex druggie. Oh what a great set up for the repubs to win again. Obama will be the dems greatest mistake and nightmare..because he won't win against this ticket, where Clinton would be just as sleezy a fighter as the repubs and could won it. Oh my, just another Jonh Kerry pick. Dems are fools.
The republicans will pick Obama to pieces, especially if its McCain/Bush ticket. We all know the Bushs don't ever play fair, they play to win BY ANY MEANS. I will stay home and not vote this November so as not to torture myself further.
OH NO! Obama will have no chance if the republicans pick this ticket. No chance at all. Stupid democrats.
Robin Smith: Then who are the six al Qaeda jihadists now getting ready to be tried for their roles in the 9/11 attacks?[including its 1995 mastermind.Sheikh Khalid Muhammed]. Were these not captured? Are they now not in US custody?

Is Bin Laden one of them? Nope. Were they caught in Iraq or Afghanistan? Not Iraq. We would probably have caught OBL if we didn't divert thousands of bodies and billions of dollars from Afghnistan to Iraq(which there were no AlQaeda before we invaded).
Bush-Clinton-Bush-Clinton-Bush.

Stop the Madness.....
Oh thank the Lord, it looks like we will be having a continuing dynasty with a McCain/Bush ticket. Well, well, Mr Rove pulled it off again.
Democrats are the most idiotic people in the world. HAHA! Obama will lose. They are throwing away the most battle tested candidate Shrillary for a Muslim. Oh, how delicious!
this could be the punch that takes out the democrats. It is a shame that the Obama and Clinton voters are so busy destroying each other that they probably do not even notice.Oh well they are losers anyway.
tired of obamanoids (Sent Monday, February 11, 2008 6:33 PM)

Are you serious? If McCain takes Jeb as his VP, he can kiss the ever important independent vote and the moderate vote. There is not one rational thinking American in existence that will ever vote another Bush in the presidency ever again. You guys don't understand, that without the indie vote McCain is dead in the water, and with Jeb Bush there GOES the indie vote. This country neither needs or wants a Bush in presidency ever again!
It really amazes me that someone would say that a Bush is better than a Clinton in office.  Bush took us into a war based on lies and has taken this country so deep in debt that we may never see the light.  Bill Clinton may have had an affair while in office, but so has presidents before.  What has Hillary Clinton done that would make you think she would be worse than Bush?  How many lives have been sacrificed in this crazy war he put us in?  How many lives have been ruined over this economy?  Hillary Clinton has done everything she can to help the middle class and lower income people?  What has Obama done???  Everyone needs to get past the inspirational speeches and look at reality!
