Clinton to fight for every delegate

Posted: Wednesday, February 13, 2008 4:16 PM by Domenico Montanaro

From NBC's Domenico Montanaro
The Clinton campaign is not about to give up anything without a fight.

Strategists said in a conference call with reporters the campaign will go after delegates wherever they can be found -- including in Michigan and Florida. They also said Clinton will likely be within 25 delegates of Obama after voting on March 4, including superdelegates, and they dismissed most states which Obama has won.

“Could we possibly have a nominee who hasn't won any of the significant states -- outside of Illinois?” Chief Strategist Mark Penn said. “That raises some serious questions about Sen. Obama.”

Howard Wolfson, communications director, pointed out, “We do better the more voters vote. The largest turnout primaries, by in large, are the ones that have favored us. …The presidential election is not a caucus; it’s an election for the most people to get out and vote.”

But the campaign seems to be shifting strategy and employing a method Obama capitalized on Feb. 5. In addition to focusing on the large states -- something Cecil admitted had been their focus -- they are “opening offices” and “hiring staff” in Wyoming, Montana and even Puerto Rico to try to get every delegate possible in “congressional districts where we can be successful.”

Penn, Wolfson and Guy Cecil, a top campaign aide, also stressed the candidates should not be judged by just pledged delegates but by total delegates. Clinton has a 261-179 advantage with superdelegates, according to NBC News Political Unit estimates -- based on totals from the campaign and public endorsements.

The campaign says it will fight to seat Michigan and Florida, where they are now claiming 178 delegates, “whose votes we think should be counted at convention,” Cecil said.

Penn, who said this at least twice on the call, seemed to coin the phrase to encapsulate how they will try to frame the message going forward: Clinton will draw a “clear contrast” between herself and Obama by showing that she is in the “21st Century solution business and not the promise business.”

Blah, blah, blah, Hillary and camp, who cares what your strategy is now, you lost and are going to lose even more, so go home sore loser.
What this campaign really needs to do is unload the load that IS Mark Penn. Haven't won any "significant" states? Is someone with the title of chief strategist really so obtuse as to dismiss the voters in the 20-something contests his candidate has lost?
I would rather go with someone that gives me a SOLUTION and PROMISE they would work with me to get results, than someone that will give SOLUTION and LIES.

circling the drain
Business is an unfortunate term for them to use.

Clinton's Turf Invaded: Obama Wins Women, Working
Class, White Males

February 12, 2008 08:17 PM

The Virginia Democratic primary was supposed to be
Sen. Hillary Clinton's best hope for the so-called
Potomac Primaries. But a look at exit polls following
a significant victory for Sen. Barack Obama shows that the Illinois Democrat's political base is expanding deep into Clinton's turf -- including among women and working class Democrats.

In Virginia, Obama outdid Clinton among women by a
margin of 58 percent to 42. He also captured the
majority of those voters who make less than $50,000:
59 percent to 40 percent. And even bested Clinton
among Latinos by a margin of 55 to 45, though the
later made up a small portion of the voting public and should be taken with a grain of salt.

Indeed, Obama had strong performances across the
board. He narrowly lost the white vote to Clinton, 48
percent to 51 percent, but won the majority of white
men in the state, 55 percent to 43 percent. That
group, as recently as the South Carolina primary
several weeks ago, also seemed firmly in the Clinton
camp.

Obama also maintained what has become the most
reliable demographic elements of his electoral base.
Ninety percent of blacks supported the Senator, as did 66 percent of those under 40-years-of-age, 66 percent of independents, 70 percent of Republicans who voted in the Democratic primary, and 58 percent of post-graduates.

Update:

The exit polls from Maryland pretty much tell the same story. Obama won ever portion of the state, both the city and the suburbs. He won every income level as well, except for those voters making over $200,000. He won among those who said the economy was the most important issue as well as those who most valued the war in Iraq. And he won the majority of every age group.

Obama again won among Latinos: 53 percent to 47
percent (although the group again comprised a fairly
small portion of the polling data). He was also close
among whites: 46 percent to Clinton's 51.

The Clinton's should take the high road, although not likely given thier record, and withdraw now!
Obama's name was not even on the ballot in Michigan and they expect it to count. Hillary's camp is truly delusional.

And it's going to be hilarious hearing the spin from them once they win Texas considering their argument that she wins the states that matter for the general. but
{ The [Clinton] campaign says it will fight to seat Michigan and Florida, }

You mean the states that Clinton and the rest of the Democrats signed a pledge not to campaign in because those states violated the rules? So everyone thought Hillary was just being sloppy by not taking her name off the ballot in Michigan, like every other candidate did. No, she was setting herself up in case she needed those delegates. Cunning doesn't even begin to describe her behavior. It's more like maniacal.
If MI and FL are to be seated, let them re-vote first. Clinton thinks that she played by "the rules"? She played by HER rules which are "win at any cost, by any means necessary" opponent and party be damned. Isn't that the kind of politics that has us with a demented monkey as President?

At every turn Hillary and her campaign try to imitate the Obama campaign. I know that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but this is ridiculous. Every successful turn he's made, she's adopted the following week. Sadly, it's a week late and a dollar short.

Hillary needs to give up the ghost. I think Mark Penn and Co. are using that new fuzzy math to do their numbers. When the delegates are counted and the Super Delegates see that the only way to win the White House AND hold Congress is Barack Obama, they will leave Hillary's Titanic of the campaign in the frozen waters.
YOU ALL NEED TO READ THIS KNOWLEDGE IS POWER

Interesting: Hillary Clinton has been telling America that she is the most qualified candidate for president based on her 'record,' which she says includes her eight years in the White House as First Lady - or 'co-president' - and her seven years in the Senate. Here is a reminder of what that record includes: - As First Lady, Hillary assumed authority over Health Care Reform, a process that cost the taxpayers over $13 million. She told both Bill Bradley and Patrick Moynihan, key votes needed to pass her legislation, that she would 'demonize' anyone who opposed it. But it was opposed; she couldn't even get it to a vote in a Congress controlled by her own party. (And in the next election, her party lost control of both the House and Senate.) - Hillary assumed authority over selecting a female Attorney General. Her first two recommendations, Zoe Baird and Kimba Wood, were forced to withdraw their names from consideration. She then chose Janet Reno. Janet Reno has since been described by Bill himself as 'my worst mistake.' - Hillary recommended Lani Guanier for head of the Civil Rights Commission. When Guanier's radical views became known, her name had to be withdrawn. - Hillary recommended her former law partners, Web Hubbell, Vince Foster, and William Kennedy for positions in the Justice Department, White House staff, and the Treasury, respectively. Hubbell was later imprisoned, Foster committed suicide, and Kennedy was forced to resign. - Hillary also recommended a close friend of the Clintons, Craig Livingstone, for the position of director of White House security. When Livingstone was investigated for the improper access of up to 900 FBI files of Clinton enemies (?Filegate?) and the widespread use of drugs by White House staff, both Hillary and her husband denied knowing him. FBI agent Dennis Sculimbrene confirmed in a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing in 1996, both the drug use and Hillary's involvement in hiring Livingstone. After that, the FBI closed its White House Liaison Office, after serving seven presidents for over thirty years. - In order to open ?slots? in the White House for her friends the Thomasons (to whom millions of dollars in travel contracts could be awarded), Hillary had the entire staff of the White House Travel Office fired; they were reported to the FBI for 'gross mismanagement' and their reputations ruined. After a thirty-month investigation, only one, Billy Dale, was charged with a crime - mixing personal money with White House funds when he cashed checks. The jury acquitted him in less than two hours. - Another of Hil lary's assumed duties was directing the 'bimbo eruption squad' and scandal defense: ---- She urged her husband not to settle the Paula Jones lawsuit. ---- She refused to release the Whitewater documents, which led to the appointment of Ken Starr as Special Prosecutor. After $80 million dollars of taxpayer money was spent, Starr's investigation led to Monica Lewinsky, which led to Bill lying about and later admitting his affairs. ---- Then they had to settle with Paula Jones after all. ---- And Bill lost his law license for lying to the grand jury ---- And Bill was impeached by the House. ---- And Hillary almost got herself indicted for perjury and obstruction of justice (she avoided it mostly because she repeated, 'I do not recall,' 'I have no recollection,' and 'I don't know' 56 times under oath). - Hillary wrote 'It Takes a Village,' demonstrating her Socialist viewpoint. - Hill ary decided to seek election to the Senate in a state she had never lived in. Her husband pardoned FALN terrorists in order to get Latino support and the New Square Hassidim to get Jewish support. Hillary also had Bill pardon her brother's clients, for a small fee, to get financial support. - Then Hillary left the White House, but later had to return $200,000 in White House furniture, china, and artwork she had stolen. - In the campaign for the Senate, Hillary played the 'woman card' by portraying her opponent (Lazio) as a bully picking on her. - Hillary's husband further protected her by asking the National Archives to withhold from the public until 2012 many records of their time in the White House, including much of Hillary's correspondence and her calendars. (There are ongoing lawsuits to force the release of those records.) - As the junior Senator from New York, Hillary has passed no major legislation. She has deferred to the senior Senator (Schumer) to tend to the needs of New Yorkers, even on the hot issue of medical problems of workers involved in the cleanup of Ground Zero after 9/11. - Hillary's one notable vote; supporting the plan to invade Iraq, she has since disavowed. Quite a resume?. Sounds more like an organized crime family?s rap sheet. please read the following information gathered from the Library of Congress. Feel free to check these records for yourself; better still, read a little more, and try and stay current before posting assinine comments: Clinton v. Obama on Legislative Experience: Senator Clinton, who has served only one full term (6yrs.), and another year campaigning, has managed to author and pass into law, (20) twenty pieces of legislation in her first six years. These bills can be found on the website of the Library of Congress (www.thomas.loc.gov), but to save you trouble, I'll post them here for you: 1. Establish the Kate Mullany National Historic Site. 2. Support the goals and ideals of Better Hearing and Speech Month. 3. Recognize the Ellis Island Medal of Honor. 4. Name courthouse after Thurgood Marshall. 5. Name courthouse after James L. Watson. 6. Name post office after Jonn A. O'Shea. 7. Designate Aug. 7, 2003, as National Purple Heart Recognition Day. 8. Support the goals and ideals of National Purple Heart Recognition Day. 9. Honor the life and legacy of Alexander Hamilton on the bicentennial of his death. 10. Congratulate the Syracuse Univ. Orange Men's Lacrosse Team on winning the championship. 11. Congratulate the Le Moyne College Dolphins Men's Lacrosse Team on winning the championship. 12. Establish the 225th Anniversary of the American Revolution Commemorative Program. 13. Name post office after Sergeant Riayan A. Tejeda. 14. Honor Shirley Chisholm for her service to the nation and express condolences on her death. 15. Honor John J. Downing, Brian Fahey, and Harry Ford, firefighters who lost their lives on duty. Only five of Clinton's bills are, more substantive. 16. Extend period of unemployment assistance to victims of 9/11. 17. Pay for city projects in response to 9/11 18. Assist landmine victims in other countries. 19. Assist family caregivers in accessing affordable respite care. 20. Designate part of the National Forest System in Puerto Rico as protected in the wilderness preservation system. There you have it, the fact's straight from the Senate Record. Now, I would post those of Obama's, but the list is too substantive, so I'll mainly categorize. During the first (8) eight months of his elected service he sponsored over 820 bills. He introduced 233 regarding healthcare reform, 125 on poverty and public assistance, 112 crime fighting bills, 97 economic bills, 60 human rights and anti-discrimination bills, 21 ethics reform bills, 15 gun control, 6 veterans affairs and many others. His first year in the U.S. Senate, he authored 152 bills and co-sponsored another 427. These inculded **the Coburn-Obama Government Transparency Act of 2006 (became law), **The Lugar-Obama Nuclear Non-proliferation and Conventional Weapons Threat Reduction Act, (became law), **The Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act, passed the Senate, **The 2007 Government Ethics Bill, (became law), **The Protection Against Excessive Executive Compensation Bill, (In committee), and many more. In all since he entered the U.S. Senate, Senator Obama has written 890 bills and co-sponsored another 1096. An impressive record, for someone who supposedly has no legislative record. . . . My last point: Obama needs name recognition, he needs to be among the people, so people feel like they have access to him. HRC's debate challenge is more about the fact that her campaign is running low on money and she gets free air-time without spending anything. Would you give up the chance to see 20,000 voters up close and personal to be on a televised debate? No way! Obama, stick to your guns. Debate on your terms, not Hillary's! Go Obama 2008!
Why does Hillary have a 'rogues gallery' ?
Maybe rats run in packs

From Huffington Post:

'...Fallen Angels In Clinton's Rogues' Gallery

November 17, 1997

One of the most distressing features of our current
political system and the Clinton White House in
particular, is the way they turn otherwise honest,
caring, idealistic individuals into spinning,
rationalizing, truth-twisting defendants desperately
trying to stay out of jail. Last week, we saw the
results of this transformation in Hillary Clinton's
former Chief of Staff Maggie Williams and in Interior
Secretary Bruce Babbitt, whose testimony to Congress
is now under investigation by the Justice Department.

Maggie Williams' case is particularly poignant. Last
week, she testified at the House Government Oversight
Committee hearings about her relationship with serial
donor Johnny Chung. After spending the afternoon
mesmerized by her contortionist testimony, I watched
an actress in Anna Deavere Smith's new play "House
Arrest" portray Williams and express her hopes that
she would really make a difference in the lives of
children and those in need. And I have no doubt that
is what Williams originally believed her tenure at the
White House would be about. Instead, it turned out to
be about lie detector tests, racking up over $300,000
in legal bills, and spinning -- the committee, the
press and perhaps even herself.

You can see at once the toll this has taken on her. I
remember meeting Williams at the start of the first
Clinton term and being impressed by her presence, her
passion and her sense of humor. And here she is now,
having chosen to leave the White House to live in
Paris, looking tired, heavy -- defeated.

Ever since her days as a student at a parochial school
in Kansas City, loyalty has been a Williams trademark.
The French nuns at her school divided the class into
groups with their own distinct dress colors. "We all
learned to develop this incredible loyalty to our
color," Williams once explained. This loyalty was
transferred to her bosses. The Washington Post
described her working motto as "let them set the
mission, let me get it done." But at some moment
during Clinton's first term, the mission shifted from
saving the country to saving the first couple.

For an idealist like Maggie Williams, maybe the first
lady was the embodiment of the mission, the only means
at hand through which the ends she believed in could
be achieved. But one thing led to another. And
allegations that she removed Vince Foster's files were
followed by allegations that she sold access to Johnny
Chung -- until this past week, she found herself
trying to jerry-fit her fund-raising involvement into
the nobility of her once-worthy hopes. Back in 1993,
Williams said: "Everybody hates the big injustices.
... But I hate even the little injustices, even the
way a sales clerk treats somebody who is shabbily
dressed and happens to go into a nice store."...'

How Clintonesque....
It sound like the Bush administration
WOW!  Clinton now says that only certain states are "significant."  How well would this serve her in a general election?  Virginia, Missouri, Washington, Wisconsin, Georgia, South Carolina -- not significant?
I find the Clinton campaign's dissing of the so-called "unimportant" states to be terribly offensive. If you are running to be President of the UNITED STATES, then every state in the union and the citizens residing in those states should matter. It should not matter if you are a citizen from California or from Idaho. This is exactly why Obama should be President, because he appeals to Americans from all walks of life and because he has grown the Democratic base (not to mention the base of the electorate in general) like no other!
So, Hillary Clinton and the Clinton campaign think that out of Maryland, Virginia, DC, Louisianna, Utah, Missouri, Illinois, Deleware, Georgia, Connecticut, Alabama, South Carolina, Maine, Washington, Nebraska, Minnesota, Alaska, Idaho, Kansas, North Dakota, Colorado, and Iowa the "only state that is significant" is Illinois???

Are you guys listening to this?  Are you paying attention?  That's the Clinton machine - chew them up and spit them out and when they don't go your way, just say that didn't matter in the first place.

WAKE UP and smell the stink that is the Clinton machine.  Use 'em and use 'em.  The arrogance makes me sick.

Obama 08
A bunch of cheaters and crooks running Hillary's campaign. A feather of birds flock together?
I just heard "neutral" Al Sharpton state the voters of Florida will be deprived of their civil rights if the delegates from Florida are seated and counted. I'm a bit confused by this statement. I think it is the exact opposite. Yes, the DNC penalized Florida and Michigan because they voted when they did, but holding a new election, as Sharpton suggested, would be depriving the more than one and a half million voters of their civil rights. Obama and Clinton did not campaign in either state, but their surrogates did. People voted and these voters voices should be heard. All the candidates should receive their appointed delegates. Floridians were robbed of their votes a number of years ago. Do we want to do it again?
I find it disheartening that Senator Clinton's Campaign , since they are losing and Obama is getting very strong support, wants to seat Florida and Michigan's Delegates. Didn't she in fact agree to not campaign there as part of an agreement to punish those states for going against the Democratic parties rules? It is obvious why she won those states, she was the only one who went to campaign there!
First off, why Obama isn;t debating is because he doesn't have to, he has made his point to many Americans and they are flocking to it, judging by the way voting has gone. Secondly, who calls Obama a terrorist, that is retarded, if you say that you shouldn't vote at all. People are so dumb these days. Clinton is boring, ugly, and would basically be voting for Bill again. Lastly, now that she is losing its funny that she wants to count Michigan and Florida she agreed not to but the cry baby realizes she is done for. THank God
How many debates do we need?  There have already been 18 with two more coming.  Who really was looking forward to debate #21?
Mark Penn has apparently forgotten they are trying to win the DEMOCRATIC nomination.  Their divisive nature has them insulting Democrats by trying to change the rules that were agreed to by all campaigns.  (They already attempted this in Nevada and look how successful they've been since.)   Boy am I sick and tired of Hillary Blinton.
Obama/Webb '08!

Lost one!

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — The man who served as national manager of former President Clinton's 1992 campaign endorsed Sen. Barack Obama on Wednesday.

David Wilhelm, who led the campaign and later became chairman of the Democratic National Committee, said Obama had the unique ability to encourage cooperation as a 65-percent president after the divisive years of a 51-percent majority. He was referring to the notion that Obama could govern the country with the support of a large coalition, as opposed to more polarized support for President Bush.

Wilhelm is a superdelegate who was previously uncommitted in the race
Here is the solution to the dilemma for the Democrats with Michigan/Florida/Superdelegates: Count the States votes, even though they shouldn't be; letter the Delegates have one vote not 10,0000;  in other words to coin an old phrase:  ONE MAN ONE VOTE!!!!!!
I can see why Michagin shouldn't be counted. But I don't see any reason why FL wouldn;t be counted. Millions of people came out and voted their preference - Hillary won by a huge margin. The only person who did campaign there was Obama who ran ads despite committing not to and he still lost.
Hillary, won't slam dunk Ohio... The wheels are coming off...
Senator Clinton’s strategy to fight for every delegate is the only strategy that can work right now.  She needs every delegate she can get.  The numbers are now stacked badly against her.  She has to try to cut into Senator Obama’s lead wherever she can, and still hope to win the larger states outright.  She needs something like 55 percent of every available delegate, and after Wisconsin, she made need from 57 to 60 percent.  That’s beginning to sound improbable, if not impossible.

What I find ironic is the fact that delegates are not awarded according to how many people actually vote, but rather according to how many people COULD vote.  The number of people who actually show up at the polls, even in the larger states, is totally irrelevant.  The same number of delegates are awarded per state, either way.  This counsels for a national primary, of course.  Every vote should count.  Period.
"Could we possibly have a nominee who hasn’t won any of the significant states -- outside of Illinois?” Chief Strategist Mark Penn said."

The big states Hillary has won are reliably Democratic and will go blue in the general election regardless of whether she or Obama is the nominee (ie, CA, NY, NJ).  Texas will not go Democratic in the general election, regardless of whether she or Obama is the nominee.  Yet these are the big states Clinton is relying on to secure the nomination. Something is very wrong with this picture.

It is EXACTLY the kind of states that Obama is winning that will determine the winner of the November election -- small and medium swing (purple) states.  Yes, Hillary did win TN and AR, and they are potential swing states.  But Obama has won far more of these kinds of states and even inched out Clinton for Missouri, which is a noted bellweather state.

The real test will be Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Ohio, which are the kind of states Democrats need to win in November.   And it underscores why it was such a travesty not to have a real, competitive primary election in Michigan and Florida where the candidates could campaign.   Democrats needed to know how these states would have voted in a normal campaign process with adequate TV and personal exposure to both candidates for a period of time and with both of their names on the ballot (which did not occur in Michigan).
We needed to know how these states would have voted had campaigning not been restricted.

If a nominee wins the Democratic nomination by having only large states voting for them (all of which states are either reliably blue or red and noncompetitive in the general election), it does not bode well for our hopes to win independents in the general election.
I think that the Florida and Michigan votes should count as is.  They are part of the United States and the people there that went out to vote should have their votes counted!  Oboma is the one who violated the pledge in Florida and ran commericials!!  He is a bag of wind who tries to rib up everybody by promises of hope and change, yet he's yet to say what or how he plans to do that or how he is going to finanice it!  Oboma, are you scared to debate Hillary in Wisconsin? If you are, what will you do with the first crisis should by some chance you were to make it to the White House?

GOOD LUCK HIllARY, and GOD BLESS YOU !!
To whoever called Obama a terrorist - Name one reputable news source that indicates Obama has any links to anything at all that would cause you to label him a terrorist! Check out any reputable source (e.g. www.snopes.com, www.msnbc.com, www.cnn.com). Anyone who takes 30 minutes can easily find the truth. The only people who believe that garbage didn't bother to do any real research.
Trying to win the nomination by claiming delegates from a state where she was the only one on the ballot? Those are the kinds of elections they have in China. I used to love Hillary. Now I am appalled by her.
I was undecided. Initially I was leaning Obama, I was excited by his positive message of unity. Recently the cult of personality and fanaticism of his campaign and a portion of his supporters started  turning me off.

Now democrats are sounding like the republican attack wing: using the same propaganda and name calling invented by Newt Gindrich and perfected by Karl Rove.
Pundits, columnists and politicians, pay attention: there is a new momentum brewing: the one of the democrat who will not join in the Clinton hunt to elect the new popular kid on the block. Am I basing my vote on something other than platform and record? Yes: I am basing it on my principles and sense of fairness. I will not defame Clinton to elect Obama. If Obama is to be elected by shaming and betraying the Clintons, I will not have part of it.
NO se puede con traicion!!!
I love her spin on things saying that only big states count.  Well I don't know where they have been but this country has 50 states, not just a few big ones.  That comment will kill her in the general election.  And saying that Obama winning red states on Super Tuesday were insignificant because they will never go Democrat, I believe that he got more votes than every Republican in those contests.  However she is now banking on Texas (quite possibly the REDDEST state) and calling it significant
LMAO @ Anti-O. Do you have evidence that Barak is a Terrorist? Please grow up, can we have adult debate without all this non-sense. We dont have to like each others candidates but at least be rational.
Obama is not a terrorist. Hillary is a proven liar, and a failure (Iraq, healthcare, the bankruptcy bill and support of NAFTA, for examples). No one campaigned in MI and FL. You are a cheater if you think that some hack with name recognition deserves to have people seated. Why is she afraid to let everyone campaign and vote? Because she loses when people meet Obama. As for debates, there have been 18! And there are 2 more. Only the loser wants more debates, too many -and she wants to get free airtime and to keep Obama away from voters he meets and wins. How can you criticize him for not debating in WI when he is campaigning there now through the 19th whereas she is only putting out negative ads there -from TX?!

Plus I am so sick of HRC dismissing every place that she loses, with one sorry excuse after another. I am so sick of HRC and her clan acting like Clinton did not have a decade or so of name recognition and establishment backers before Obama, in the words of a former Bill Clinton supporter "out-worked, out-organized, and out-raised her." HRC is a divisive, sore loser and so her a fair number of her supporters by these comments.

I am so glad that most Americans see through her. Hence she has lost the pledged delegate lead and the popular vote.

I don't want Bill Clinton back. And I never want Hillary.
For the people complaining about not debating in Wisconsin, please stop sharing your ignorance to the world.  The candidates have had 18 DEBATES so far and it's basically the same thing over and over. Do you think every state should have its own debate?  The people should actually be meeting the candidates on the ground and truly understanding who they are and what that stand for.
I say let Clinton go back on her word and demand that Michigan/Florida delegates be seated. Let her petulance show. Every time she acts as if losing is depriving her of what is rightfully hers, Obama soars. She doesn't get it. That kind of politics is over. He's a breath of fresh air, asking us to soar as a great nation, she's a stale shrill wife of a fallen idol that is turning to the Karl Rove playbook. Look what that got us.

Comedians call it flop sweat. Once it hits, it's all downhill.
OBAMA'S RIGHT WING SUPPORTERS ARE MAKING ME WONDER IF HE IS JUST ANOTHER ONE OF THOSE GUY'S LIKE BUSH WAS. CLAIMING TO BE ONE THING AND TURN OUT TO BE ANOTHER.  I THINK HE IS A SHILL FOR THE REPUBLICAN PARTY.  PROBABLY ANOTHER ONE OF CARL ROVE'S IDEAS FOR THE REPUBLICAN'S TO KEEP POWER. BUSH GAINED HIS POWER AND GOT US INTO A SENSELESS WAR ON LIES.
ALL OF THE OBAMA BLOGGERS ARE USING THE SAME B.S
AS THE OLD TIME ATTACK MACHINE THAT WAS CONSTANTLY YAPPING AT THE HEELS OF THE CLINTON'S IN THE NINETIES.   YOUR NASTY WORDS SAY MORE ABOUT YOU
THAN ABOUT THE CLINTON'S.  HOW COULD ANY ONE WHO HAS NOT BEEN ASLEEP FOR THE LAST 7 YEARS HAVE ANYTHING BUT ADMIRATION FOR THE CLINTON'S
I DON'T THINK MOST OF YOU REALLY KNOW MUCH ABOUT WHAT YOU ARE SPEAKING. IF YOU REALLY PAID ATTENTION  YOU WOULD KNOW OBAMA WAS THE ONLY DEMOCRAT THAT HAD ANY ADVERTISING RUNNING IN FLORIDA.
ALL OF THE NAMES WERE ON THE BALLOT.
HILLARY HAD A FUND RAISER AFTER THE ELECTION.
OBAMAHEADS SAY SHE WAS BETTER KNOWN THAN THE OTHERS, BUT NOW HE DOESN'T WANT TO DEBATE IN WIS. BECAUSE HE SAYS WE KNOW ENOUGH ALREADY. HE SAYS THERE HAVE BEEN SO MANY DEBATES ALREADY. WELL, YOU KNOW WHAT,  ALL I HAVE HEARD FROM HIM IS A LOT MORE FLUFF THAN STUFF.  IF YOU WANT TO KNOW THE REAL STUFF,
ASK HILLARY.
SO FAR ALL OF HIS IDEAS ARE RECYCLED FROM THE SMARTEST ONE OF THE 4 REMAINING CANDIDATES

NO DOUBT ABOUT IT.
HILLARY CLINTON, THE REAL DEAL
GO AFTER THOSE FLORIDA VOTES HILLARY.
THE PEOPLE SPOKE.
THEY SPOKE FOR YOU.!!!!! OBAMA WOULD BE SCREAMING.
If Obama has more pledged delegates and popular vote at the end of the primaries even if you count Florida and Michigan the GAME IS OVER for Hillary. If the super delegates and the DNC are dumb enough to give the nomination to Hillary. If Mccain should ask Obama to be his running mate. Hillery would loose in a landslide.
Just wanted to mention that voter turnout in Florida was high because of the important property tax bill on the ballot to be voted on primary day.  It didn't have everything to do with the presidential primaries, unlike Hillary would have you believe.

Moreover, in light of Mrs. Clinton asking for the Michigan and Florida delegates to be seated after she agreed not to campaign there, I wanted to say that I hope each and everyone of you are asking yourselves if you sincerely trust someone who would pull this type of stunt while they are APPLYING for a job, how are you EVER going to trust them once they GET the job.

All you need to know about Hillary Clinton is that now that she is losing she is pressing to have delegates from Florida and Michigan counted - WHEN SHE WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO HAD HER NAME ON THE BALLOT.  She did this leaving her name on the ballot, and then went to Florida and had her little make-believe "victory" party - knowing Obama had played completely by the agreed-upon rules and didn't have his name on the ballot - as a possible cheating end-run around losing if she needed it.  She is whining that the Party disenfranchised those states's voters.  Well of course the Party did no such thing.  The states did that, when they knew the penalty if they broke the rules, and they broke the rules anyway.  The Democratic Party can't possibly count delegates for someone when only one person was on the ballot.  If she continues to make a big deal about it, the two states would have to hold contests again, and allow time for both candidates to campaign in the states.  That's a nice expense and mess she is trying to give those states and the Party.  She should take a tip about grace from Mitt Romney - (never thought I'd say anything good about him!) - and drop out now for the good of the Party.  She is going to lose.  All she is doing now is making it harder for Obama to have time to ready himself to compete against McCain.
All the Hillary Heads are so disillusioned, OMG.  They are as blinded as she is.....Hillary disputes the polls showing Obama beating McCain by 7 points, and yet she is neck and neck....well, McCain isn't exactly getting a ringing endorsement from the Republican's and that is right where Hillary is with the Dems.  They do want the Clinton's out, some are just pathetic wimps who fear retaliation should Hillary pull this election out (after they switch allegiances).  But more of them are switching daily.  But Hillary is digging her own grave by belittling Obama's 20+ state wins as 'small beans'.  And she agreed to the punishement for Michigan and Florida months ago while ahead in the polls, and only now is whining about wanting delegates.  I hardly think Howard Dean would reseat them without a fair chance for the nominees to tour the states and advertise openly like every other state in the union would receive.  The states should suck up the expense for a 're-do' since they broke party rules by bumping up the caucuses; and they are whining about that loudly.  All of this adds up to a sick political system that needs a good house cleaning; and Obama has the will of the people at his back to do it, so let's give him a try.  McCain and Hillary are too set in their ways to make change in Washington......

Mark your calendars for the Texas showdown.  Obama has a LOT of time to spend there; and just like he is doing in Wisconsin this week (7 stops)...he will get a surge and move even further beyong Hillary's reach.  HOPEFULLY if Hillary does get a knock out punch, she will GRACEFULLY concede.  Nah, it's not in her blood.  Just because she is from Park Ridge Illinois doesn't mean she has any class.
ANTI-OBAMA..You scare me to death!  We are Americans, The great American Melting pot!  Contribute a message of unity and hope, even if it is in support of Hillary, but please refrain from hate and fear.  We've been fed that for far too long!

As for Michigan and Florida, integrity counts!  The decision was made by ALL the candidates(including you Hillary). If anything they hold another primary  and that does bring up the question who pays for it? You know I think Hillary has to deal with the consequences of her choices just as we all do and those delegates don't count.  It has nothing to do with anyone from Michigan and Florida, I'm sorry you got dissed, but November will be here shortly and you can all show up and count!

My advice to Hillary from this point on...You want delegates? Then don't agree to something you don't really mean, and show up and campaign for the delegates that are left. If you decide to skip over a few states, states that you don't think matter, that's your loss.

I am a Democrat and that isn't changing no matter who gets the nomination.  I will certainly not be voting for Mr. Another 100 year of war if that's what it takes.  Anti - Obama you should do some self reflection in the next several months.
More of the same old stuff!!!  She will never change!!!  She is worthless!  She will only divide this country.  I wonder what it will feel like having Mr. First Man running around the Oval Office with all those new ladies... just what America needs!!!
They all agreed that the Florida/Michigan vote didn't count, so why was she in Florida campaigning???  She should be disqualified by the Democratic Party.  Furthermore, Msnbc should unsuspend David S. for his comment... Anyone with college age kids knows that the phrase "Pimping" is the same as Soliciting, begging, beseeching or requesting for a vote... If it had been the Clinton's saying that, they would expect everyone to forgive them because they just "Mis-spoke"!!  Get a life Billary, we don't need your kind of politics from day one to fix the Bush castastrophe or to heal our reputation in the world... Bankrupt someone else... alot of people can't afford to pay for their mandated health insurance!!
Just FYI, Donna Brazile is backing Clinton, so her concerns about the superdelegates deciding the election are not because she thinks that will make Obama lose.  I'm an Obama supporter myself - how could anyone be a Clinton supporter after all the slime; we've certainly had enough of that the past 7 years - but I do think Donna thinks it would be breaking the trust of the rank and file to "throw" the nomination, either way.
Someone please stop the bleeding! Between having to use her own money for her campaign because it's broke, to "shaking up" her staff, do we not see what is going on here? It's called DESPERATION, and HRC is just having a hard time admitting when she's been outdone. Over and over and over again. Significant states become insignificant and vice versa to serve whatever purpose she chooses based on where she wins? WHATEVER. It's called being a sore loser. She didn't just lose these recent contests, she got her BUTT KICKED. And what is the vote differential in California now??? It dwindles every single day, but such a "significant" win, right??? It would be better for the party if she bowed out gracefully, but we could never assume that HRC would do such a thing. So let's drag this out for another 6 months while she makes a complete and utter fool of herself. That should be fun to watch.

GO OBAMA.
It's one thing for her to stay in the race and give it a shot to win the nomination, but it's quite dispicable for her and her staff to state their intent to steal the election by selling favors for votes or strong arming superdelegates, and by trying to get delegates in Florida and Michigan.  It's unfortunate that their votes won't count, but the democrats in those states voted to defy the party knowing full well they were being told their delegates wouldn't count.  The DNC told candidates to pull their name from the ballot, which Obama did.. how on earth can hillary claim the delegates on those states are a true reflection of the people's wishes.  She doesn't care a thing about democracy, just her own power.  If she steals this election, I will never vote democrat again and about half the people I know are saying the same thing.  She will break up the whole party for her ambition.  It's disgraceful.  I have lost all respect for both her and Bill.
why want obama debate with her  hes scared he knows she would win  he just makes talk without anything to back it with He dosent have a plan or he would exsplane them  to us instead of makeing small talk  hilary dose she exsplans everything she will do for us
The Hillary first, McCain second, supporters are idiots or bigots. Hillary and McCain have nothing in common. Are you Idiots? Is your hatred for a person that deep where you would throw your party away?
I am a Michigan Democrat who was disenfranchised by the shenanigans of the Michigan Democratic Party. (Voting for "uncommitted" was not very satisfying.) When HRC left her name on the ballot after others removed theirs, I suspected that she wanted to set up a situation she could turn to her advantage. I support Obama, but would have voted for Clinton if she were the nominee.  However, if she uses strong-armed tactics like this to get the nomination, I will not vote for her. The DNC should not let their own rules be overturned!
