really connie? I seem to think that BO hired a lobbyist jim hodges to run his campaign. Mr Jim Hodges is a federal lobbyist...so who is standing up and being the man that they claim to be? I say dont endorse anyone John. Neither bo or HIll can hold a candle to you. Just manage your poverty center and do some real good instead of spouting off platitudes every 10 seconds.
We need a President like Obama who unite the nation not an opportunist and liars like Billary. She has no chance of beating McCain if "experience" is the only reason she now boasts of. Democrats should not waste time in removing her out. Obama is a historical movement, I can almost feel like Ab Lincoln and JFK are back to unite this nation. Democrats would lose a chance if they dont support Obama now! The world is watching! We need to fix the economy and our foreign relations (along with the war).
I don't think Obama's short visit to Chapel Hill to visit Edwards is any different than Clinton's. If anything, Obama has still spent a considerable amount of time visiting all parts of the country, including Wisconsin.

I feel sorry for the folks of Wisconsin who are being subject to Clinton's absenteeism and negative campaigning. It shows that Clinton places less value on their state and far more on Texas and Ohio. On general principle, I think she should not be elected.
Let's see if Obama has already paid out 700K to get votes, and John Edwards endorses him now, how much do you think that will cost Obama a cool mil?
If John Edwars endorses Obama I would be surprised that he condones drug use with politians. It will just show all of us that John could be bought sence they have no policies that compare. Johns experianced,we can't have that, he wants real universal healthcare, can't have that then, and he's for the poor. Now we all know Obama is not for the poor cause the poor make thier own coffee and doughtnuts at home and Obama's followers spend 7 bucks a cup.
Pleasssse, Fred.  Where were the Clintons when their friend David Letterman called Barack Obama "Osama" TWICE!  Where was CBS?  And where was the outrage when Bill & Hillary + their many surrogates absolutely trashed the women Bill abused?  Remember when they tried to argue "that woman" Monica Lewinsky was a stalker--only after they had argued Bill was just trying to help her.  And recall that after Jennifer Flowers & Paula Jones revealed Bill's abuse, James Carville (the chief, paid Clinton attack dog) made comments about these women's accusations being the result of "dragging money through a trailer park."  Double standard?  You bet.  And also typical pattern--the Clintons will do or say anything to win & always have, no matter who it hurts!  They also blame everyone but themselves.  Thank God we have a wonderful alternative for democratic president at last.
Its reasonable to expect Edwards to endorse Obama he fears the Clintons will smear his name as somebody eeying the veep. Go Edwards, be yourself.
The "Good Ole Boys' Club"--Kennedy,Kerry and Edwards. Not surprising but very dissapointing. I don't blame Bill Clinton for speaking up to these people. The Clintons' have been dissed from the beginning by the media and the press. Well I remember very well what shape this country and my wallet was in when Bill was President. Then we got stuck with Cowboy Bush thanks to all the intelligent voters out there --not once but twice. Pay attention this time. Hillary Clinton is the better choice, she is strong and will work hard for the American people. I know, I am from NY. Is she perfect-no---mistakes--yes. She is human remember? Obama I am sure has made some but he hasn't been around long enoungh for the media, the press and the voters to pick him apart with. That is his advantage. Not much history behind him yet. Bill is defending his wife--a normal reaction. All during Cowboy Bushs' Presidency, its' been blame Bill. Obama would get my vote 4-8 years from now. Hillary is the right candidate right now. Pay attention this time. Hillary is the best choice.
Since the super delegates are such a hot topic and Mr. Edwards is debating who and when to endorse, let me add my advice. Wait until after March 4th to see where things stands. The super delegates should wait to switch candidates until they are sure who the nominee is going to be. I think the same rings true for Mr. Edwards' delegates. I feel an Obama backlash coming since he is being made the front runner. Why do you think he is telling voters at his rallies that he is still the underdog? He realizes there is still a decent change that Clinton will be the nominee. If she wins big on March 4th, and her new strategy works things can shift quickly to her favor. What Obama is trying to do is talk everyone into coming to him so she cannot come back. But what do you think Obama's stance will be on super delegates if Clinton ends up with more over all raw votes, and pretty even (within 100) or even ahead in the primary delegates? Super delegates can always change their pledges at the end. No need to changing pledges now.
Senator Obama cancelled all his appointments in Wisconsin today using weather as an excuse, and led people to believe he was having a "down day" at home in Chicago, all after criticizing Senator Clinton for not spending enough time in Wisconsin.

Where's she?  Toughing it out in the cold and snow.

If he wants to opt out of full time campaigning in Wisconsin in the days leading up to the primary (he was off all day Thursday as well for a down day at home in Chicago), he shouldn't be criticizing the Clinton campaign for the same.

First off, He was in WI since Tuesday, he took Thursday off to spend Valentines Day with his wife.  If you want to hold that against him, then something is seriously wrong with you.  Apparently it's no big thing for the Clintons to spend that day apart, but he prefers to spend it with his wife.  I find that refreshing!

Second, just because he cancelled some events so that he could go and meet with a former candidate for a possible endorsement should also not be held against him.  If anything, I can understand why he wanted to keep it low key.  Reportedly, the reason why they didn't meet before was that reporters got wind of it and were staking out JE's place in NC.

If you're gonna be mad at anyone, you need to be mad at HRC for not showing up to your state until Saturday, especially with the primary on Tuesday.
I really don't think an Edwards endorsment will do much for either candidate.
The battle lines are already drawn, generation against generation, gender, race, social position, education, all of these groups have made their mind up based on the fluff presented by the media.
I agree with a previous poster on this thread, much of what I read here has no factual basis, it is based on the love affair of ones candidate.
Many posters who do not like Senator Obama feel that they cannot trust him based on what he does not says, this is valid.
many Obama supporters just can't stand Hillary and spew their emotional clap trap everyday and consider this good argument.
Those of you who support your candidates and their issues are doing the right thing, dissenting with issues, all you others are just throwing your poop around to get attention, babies do that too.
The 'hope and change' message is getting soooooo old, I want to hear what he will do from his own mouth, it is time for Senator Obama to go out on the limb and say what he will do instead of repeating the same tired message.
Until then I cannot support him during the primary season.
I agree with those who stated above that every day Edwards waits to endorse a candidate, the more meaningless his endorsement becomes.  He may have already waited too long, but a small push can put a candidate over the top (re: 2008 Daytona 500)
