A hat tip to the Atlantic's Marc Ambinder, who broke the news that there is a pro-Clinton 527 planning "an expensive, stealth campaign to buttress her standing in the must-win states of Ohio, Texas and Pennsylvania," he writes. "They're canvassing Clinton donors for pledges of up to $100,000 in the hope of raising at least $10M by the end of next week."

And a hat tip to Politico's Ben Smith, where we found the video of the 527's first ad for Clinton to run in Ohio.

I am sorry but at this point Clinton's chances are zero. Anyone who continues to spend money on her campaign is throwing good money after bad.

You're looking at this news incorrectly. Where is Clinton going to get that kind of money in a week? Certainly not from the grassroots. No, this is big donor and foreign interest money - real hard to track - real hard to prove where it came from. Bill is working the phone real hard today for this money. People that have a vested interest in the Clintons winning, ie., the Clintons will pay them off once they are in office, those are the types of people that will give money. It will be illegal money, and some low-lifes that hedge the money for the Clintons will get caught and put in jail. But that's what it is all about with Bill and Hill, the little people take the fall for Clintons and their big-time contributors.

Hey first read, how about informing us about REAL ISSUES, such as the apparent VOTER FRAUD that is happening right under our noses in NY. I read about this a few days ago and wondered why it was such a non issue. You need to report on REAL NEWS, ALso, you may want to let your readers know about Ms. CLintons upcoming leagal trouble with Peter Paul. I know she thought she would already have the nomination by now and so it would be a non issue, but things havn't worked out as she planned, and I think voters should be informed that a TRIAL DATE against Ms. Clinton will be set on this Thursday, just in time for the debate! Voters have the right to know this!!!!!!

Clinton lost the nomination two weeks ago on Super Tuesday. I find it humorous that the media is still talking about her chances of becoming the nominee. Yeah, all she has to do is win 65% of all remaining delegates - something she's proven over and over again she cannot do. I think it's time for the party elders to have a chat with Hillary and ask her to excuse herself from the contest before she does any further harm.

I cannot believe that Clinton is playing right into Obama's hands like this. If she doesn't denounce the activity of this 527 forcefully (by putting an end to it at inception), she will only solidify the notion that she approves of the politics of ripping people down and divisiveness, which Americans (not just Democrats) are clearly fed up with. Obama will now very easily prove his point that Clinton is nothing more than the typical politician who values winning above all else and is inept in bringing people together. In other words, I honestly don't think that it will help Clinton short-term (especially by as much as she needs at this point).

Besides, even if (and that's an underscored "if") Clinton gets the Democratic nomination by allowing this 527 to effectively smear a fellow Democrat out of the running, I think it's safe to say that it will backfire on her BIG-TIME come November. I imagine a majority of Obama-supporters will easily sit the November race out...at least the Obama-supporters that I know certainly will.

I sincerely hope that this 527 goes away fast because it will prove counterproductive to Clinton. She's a smart, successful woman who shouldn't "need" the nomination this badly. It's completely distasteful (especially as an ex-First Lady), and it will hurt her standing with Democrats and non-Democrats alike. Wrong approach!!!

I'll be 37 on election day, my first memory that I can recall of a President is the Reagan/Carter election when I was in 3rd grade and we had a mock election. I had just turned 9. Nearly all my life there has been either a Bush or a Clinton in the White House.

I watched this 527 ad provided by MSNBC and did not find anything wrong with it. These organizations may support a candidate,but are operating on their own. Obama-bots need to stop attacking Hillary Clinton and realize they need her supporters in order to win the nomination. I believe they have listened to their candidate say,"I will get her supporters, but I do not think she would get mine".
This is just more rhetoric to scare folks that are undecided to vote his way. A must-read article has been written in Newsweek by Robert Samuelson. This comes from an impartial point of view and is refreshing in its candor. I suggest these "Obama-bots" take a look. It might help to snap some these folks out of the spell being cast by the snake oil salesman.

I want to second an above post about the voting fraud in NYC. Why isn' this being reported??? 17 counties reported 0 votes for Obama in NYC, with heavy african american and affluent white voters. Mayor Bloomberg acknowledged fraud today as recounts show Obama even winning some of these counties! You must ask yourself who benefits? If it was one county it could be argued that it is a rogue element....but 17!!! So if you answer the why(of who it benefits) then that answer can only lead to one "who".

Hillary Clinton she is not being honest in her motives to be president. This rings particularly as hollows as it has always seemed to me that she felt all along that she was entitled to the presidency. This entitlement shows the yuppy attitudes of some very spoiled people from another Clinton era. Obama is right we need to go forward and not relive and all too idealized past presidency which; if we choose to remember; had some very serious problems and did virtually nothing or the "little guys", or anyone else while being impeached for three very long, sad years. Obama policy and accomplishments: Please see his website. Read. Read. Read. It may take you a while. There is a lot of DETAIL. He has been in public service LONGER than Hillary. He has passed several important bipartisan bills (ethics, campaign finance, government contracts, Katrina legislation...). If you're one of those buying into Clinton's "talk" you're just as guilty. Obama only comes at Sen. Clinton when she attacks his campaign rightfully so. Every campaign has its 527's. It's just not as common to set one up to fight a primary campaign. Quite telling don't you think? They can't get any new donors so they have to figure out a way to allow their richest existing fanatics to keep her sagging campaign hopes alive.
