Clinton on the attack

Posted: Saturday, February 23, 2008 1:48 PM by Domenico Montanaro

From NBC/NJ’s Mike Memoli, NBC’s Ron Allen and Christina Jamison
CINCINNATI -- Making an implicit comparison between President Bush and Obama, Hillary Clinton warned an audience this morning that change for change's sake is not necessarily a good thing.

"He promised change as a compassionate conservative," she said referring to Bush, "and the American people got shafted."

The line, delivered with a passion not always seen from the New York senator, brought the hundreds at Cincinnati State College to their feet.

"Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me," she continued.

The Obama campaign responded by sending along a quote from Clinton Communications Director Howard Wolfson: "If you want to talk about tactical political maneuvering, it's about one Democrat comparing another Democrat to George Bush. That's the worst kind of tactical political maneuvering."

After the talk, she continued to take the fight to Obama while talking to reporters, displaying two of Obama's direct mail attack pieces, which she called “blatantly false” and claimed that his rhetoric doesn’t match reality.

"Let's have a real campaign,” she said, her anger palpable. “Enough with the speeches and the big rallies... Shame on you Barack Obama... Meet me in Ohio. Let's have a debate about your tactics and your behavior in this campaign.”

At a press conference later in the day, Obama said the mailers are accurate and that he's puzzled why Clinton is raising them now, since they have been around for at least several days.

"It makes me think there is something tactical about her getting so exercised this morning," Obama said in Columbus, Ohio. "Sen Clinton as part of the Clinton administration supported NAFTA. In her book, she called it one of the administration’s successes."

A supporter had showed Clinton the mailers in the rope line earlier at the event. One mailer is about NAFTA, and uses a Newsday quote saying Clinton says it was a "boon" to our economy. She claims never to have said that and that Newsday printed a correction. The second mailer is about health care and says her plan would force people to buy policies they cannot afford. It is the one that resembles the Republican Harry and Louise ad.

Clinton also fielded questions about her campaign's spending habits, saying that the money goes directly to communicating with voters, and defended her position on NAFTA, saying she was not in the Senate to vote for it and has criticized it since she entered the Senate.  When asked about the fact that NAFTA was enacted when her husband was in office, she said it was negotiated by the first President Bush.

The Clinton campaign also held a conference call to criticize the Obama mailers with Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland, a Clinton supporter, and Wolfson.

"Quite frankly Sen. Obama is sending out information in the mail in Ohio that is apparently quite false in some of its claims regarding Sen. Clinton and NAFTA," Strickland said.

Wolfson followed up with some past pro-NAFTA statements made by Obama, one apparently in Illinois to a group of farmers. Wolfson said there is a "pattern" of Obama saying different things to different groups.

Clinton also began a town hall meeting here last night by acknowledging the Dallas police officer who died after an accident while driving in her motorcade this morning. She then tied the plight of the officer’s family to that of other families struggling in America today.

Clinton told the audience at Columbus State College that the late Victor Lozada left behind four children, two of whom were in college. “I thought of the help that that family will need, and the hope that they will have the educational and other opportunities that we want for all of our young people,” she said. “Certainly we hope for every young person in America today the opportunity to live up to his or her God-given potential and to have all of the support that is needed from great institutions like Columbia [sic] State and others.”

On stage with Clinton for the invitation-only event were four individuals who talked about their experiences during challenging economic times. Jason White, a CSU grad who now helps construct new school buildings in the state, talked about how building green created jobs beyond just those directly related to building. “You are singing my song,” Clinton said.

Another panelist was Wally Ohert, an electrician from Columbus and father of 12 children. Ohert became emotional as he told his story, of suffering a massive heart attack and the challenges he faced after.

“We need to be able to look and feel good about our grandchildren,” said Ohert, who has 17. “Somebody asked me, you know, well why are you supporting Hillary. Well, there are 17 of them.” Ohert also thanked Clinton for saying she would reevaluate trade agreements, including NAFTA, which has become a major focus of the Ohio race.

“I will revise NAFTA to have very strong labor and environmental standards, to remove the provisions that give foreign companies the right to challenge laws that protect our workers, which I don’t think is something in America’s interests,” Clinton said later. “We will have stronger enforcement mechanisms and we will review these trade agreements every five years. We’re not gonna let them go without evaluating and find out whether they’re helping or hurting the American economy.”

Clinton also took a few questions during the subdued event, including one that addressed education. She launched into the flaws of No Child Left Behind, noting that states like “President Bush’s state, Texas” were “embarrassed by the scores, so they just made the tests easier.” Someone in the audience shouted out, asking whether Bush would even pass the test. Clinton laughed, and said, “There are so many things I could say to that, but I’ll just get in trouble for nearly anything I’m thinking.”

NBC/NJ's Aswini Anburajan also contributed to this report.

*** UPDATE *** The Obama campaign sends along this response: “Everything in those mailers is completely accurate, unlike the discredited attacks from Hillary Clinton’s negative campaign that have been rejected in South Carolina, Wisconsin, and across America. We look forward to having a debate this Tuesday on the facts, and the facts are that Senator Clinton was a supporter of NAFTA and the China permanent trade treaties until this campaign began.  And she herself has said that under the Clinton health care plan, she would consider ‘going after the wages’ of Americans who don't purchase health insurance, whether they can afford it or not.”

Also, Newsday did not issue an explicit correction. It did call Obama’s NAFTA mailer “misleading,” but here’s the full context of what it wrote:

Because it's raised questions -- with Clinton criticizing Obama for making ‘false claims’ in the mail piece -- we've looked into the chart. In it, we did not have the Clinton campaign using the word "boon" in describing NAFTA. The word was our characterization of how we best understood her position on NAFTA, based on a review of past stories and her public statements. Tasini called for scrapping NAFTA in 2006. She did not.

We do not have a direct quote indicating her campaign told us she thought it was good for the economy at that time. Also, for that matter, Clinton's campaign did not contact us to question the item after it appeared in print.

Obama's use of the citation in this way does strike us as misleading. The quote marks make it look as if Hillary said ‘boon,’ not us. It's an example of the kind of slim reeds campaigns use to try to win an office. That said, we should have been clearer.

I am done with Clinton... I've supported her from day one, and have kept waiting for her to lead, but she does nothing but disparage.  Respect both McCain and Obama and will choose between these two worthy candidates.
What a hypocrite! I just heard her speak about how Barack has been the person being the negative attack dog.  I really used to have respect for this woman but as she keeps losing, her true nature as a devisive, petty bitch (yes, I said 'bitch') who tries to deflect criticism of her actions by blaming the other person for those same actions.  Never mind that Barack has engaged in no negative attacks (pointing out differences IS NOT a negative attack, all you Billary fans so stop your whining).

I could go on but I won't.  Know this, I am an independant voter who was initially impressed by both Barack and Hillary.  As the campaigns have gone on and I've seen Hillary trying to deflect Barack by stupid, petty attacks (no experience, WRONG, plagiarism, WRONG, Rezko ties, WRONG, etc., etc., etc.) rather than actually debating the issues, as she has denigrated entire states as not mattering because she did not win there, as she almost never congratulates Obama for his wins, it reminds me of a petty, intelligent but stupid little kid who just can't understand why everyone isn't enthusiastically supporting her.  If my child were to act like she has been acting, they would be punished and we would have a long talk about respect and tolerance of others who disagree with them.

This is how I hear Hillary: Whaaaa!  Why don't people agree with me? Can't they see I'm right and they're wrong?  Whaaa!  Why won't they vote for me?  Whaaaa!  I don't like any of you who disagree with me or don't vote for me . . . so there!  Whaaaa!  You people who voted for me but couldn't deliver state, why should I thank you, you don't matter anyway. Whaaaa! Why don't they believe me?  Whaaaaaaaaaa!

Crimeny, what a baby! The more you open your mouth Hillary, the more I'm seriously thinking of voting for McCain if you get the nomination.
If you have to explain what you said, you shouldn't have said it in the first place.  I stand by the old adage:  If you want to see a politician lie, wait for his/her lips to move.
The mailer had been out for weeks.  Why the drama.
We need a person who is cool under pressure.  Mrs. Clinton sounded like she was in a movie.  Like High
noon.  Not very presidential.  A little scary to get
so upset over a mailer.
Seems she's trying to "borrow" a tactic from McCain seeing how he was able to turn a NYT article attacking him into a fundraising promo. She's so unoriginal and ridiculously desperate. Fess up to your own Rove tactics (i.e. using your husband as your own personal Dick Cheney) before you start throwing around all these "shame-on-you's".
Sounds to me like since the 'non-attack' debate mode did not work for her, Hillary has decided to use the  attack mode for the next debate.  Good luck on that Hillary!  Ted Strickland himself was just quoted as saying that he doesn't think he can 'hold' Ohio for Hillary.  So...attack it is..and by him as well.
This turns voters off.. and will continue to do so.

So much for going out with class. Dragging the Clinton legacy in the mud seems the way she is intent on going out.

Goodbye Bill and Hillary

Time to turn the page

Obama '08

Hillary is like a kit kat bar give me a break!!She has done the same thing to obama and he didnt make a national speech. She is such a cry baby
A debate about his tactics and behavior? Give me a break, talk about getting desperate! She is so negative and polarizing! We need someone different! Break away from these political family affairs. And I never thought I'd vote for a black man but I'm so very impressed! And would vote for the person because of what he wants to do for this country period!
A great article on how Hillary supported NAFTA and how she wants to run away from that legacy:

Ade
It's about time that Obama called her on her flip-flops on NAFTA.  While true that she didn't vote for it, she was all for it in the 90's.  Only recently changing her position...how funny that was around the same time she announced she would run for President!

Also on the health plan, she has stated several times that it is "mandated" and that "garnishing wages" is an option.  If it's not a mandate and wages aren't garnished, then her plan looks an awful lot like Obama's!  And where was Hillary's outrage during the debate, when Obama said that she would garnish wages, all she did was sit there and fake smile.

Maybe since it's Oscar season she's trying to hone her acting skills.  She's already good at the fake cry and faking compassion.  Now she's working on fake anger!  Good work Hillary, you almost had me fooled!
Osama and Billary are terrible for the USA-Long live George W. Bush. History will prove that he has been a good president. IF we get a democrat in the white house, then people will see just how GOOD he was. Osama talks about nothing and Billary is just plain SCARY, and do we really need another Clinton in the WH??? NO thanks. Maybe Bill can get a few more bj's and such now that he REALLY has more time on his hands-what a moral JOKE the Clintons' are.
Senator Hillary Clinton has not learnt from the 11 straight losses to date. I do not understand why she is getting so hostile towards Senator Barrack Obama. Is this how she plans on fulfilling her presidency term - if elected?
Are we ready to have all blacks in the Streets if Osama..i mean Obama gets the presidency?...Imagine if O.J. was declared innocent after a DNA that said "ONE in a billion would want those people deads"...what we can expect of deads by Blacks? I had a Dream...
that was about a black never been a President of USA
as God told me in my Dream.
The biggest shame of this is that Hillary is still in the race.  After March 4 she won't be, so if she chooses to try to drag Obama down with made-up BS like this, all she's going to do is destroy whatever goodwill the American people have for the Clinton legacy.

Bill Clinton has already done a pretty good job of that for himself.  Hillary is the second most polarizing person in American politics, after George Bush.  She can not beat McCain.

The jig is up, Hill.  Just pack it in, before you waste the rest of your money in this self-trashing negative campaign garbage.

-Wexler
thank you again MSNBC for portraying this occurrence in a jilted manner....especially your obviously unedited version of the Obama response.  I am an undecided voter and am unimpressed. Way to take after FOX in reporting biased news.  I think from here on out Ill be using CNN, who tries the most to be unbiased in comparison.
While we get into false and misleading mailers, I would also like to mention the poll reporting by the media. THey are lumping Texas and Ohio in same sentences and say they are within the margin of error. Please google "state primary election" and you will see three Ohio Polls, Rasmussen poll thru 2-22-08 has Clinton 48 to 40, Washington Post (your favorite basher) 50 to 43 and Survey USA thru the 19th at 52 to 43 and if this is within the margin of error, there's got to be something wrong with all this polling.
Well I think everyone should read his wives theisis from her senior year at Princeton. Man all of you, if not Black are going to have problems. He has not been in goverment very long so how the hell does he know it all. He his a great speaker but that is all
Its desperation time in Hillaryland! Look out Obama. Be ready to be called every name on earth!
I'M SO TIRED OF THE HILLARY CAMPAIGN I COULD SCREAM!!!

How can you run a month-long smear campaign against Barack Obama, only to appear on Thursday's debate and ACT like she's running a clean, fair race?  And, after we halfway BELIEVE her, she comes out today and continues her frivolous, dirty attacks!?  This isn't Presidential, this is a PERSONAL VENDETTA from a losing campaign!!  She's clawing and scratching because she now realizes her "inevitable" campaign was derailed by a truly genuine, inspiring leader.

SHE'S NOTHING BUT A HYPOCRITE!!  I'VE HAD ENOUGH!!

She should be ashamed to call herself a Presidential candidate.  SHAME ON YOU, HRC.
The sleazy Clintons are known for not telling the truth.....enough said
Funny!!! the flyers are true. Nothing on the flyer is false. In regards to tactics..Hillary and Bill are the king and queen of nastay tactics. A big poll came out they question over 20,ooo democrats who are they supporting 58% said Borack and 32 said Hillary.  Its clear that democrats are tired of the same do nothing and now they are going with the best choice Borack Obama. In the survey Democrats main priority was to united the party by picking the best choice to go against McCain. They choose Borack Obama
She's right, guys. Voting for Obama means voting for George W. Bush, Part II. Like a true leader, Hillary's taken the high road through this whole campaign. Unlike Obama, she doesn't use dry humor and sarcasm to distract voters. With Hillary Clinton, what you see is what you get. And it's lookin' pretty good to me.
It's about time that Obama called her on her flip-flops on NAFTA.  While true that she didn't vote for it, she was all for it in the 90's.  Only recently changing her position...how funny that was around the same time she announced she would run for President!

As a instructor, teaching courses the history, development and application of Government, I have paid attention to candidates and campaigns for three decades.
This is my personal observation of the Obama campaign; Senator Obama has a persoanl gift of oratory. He has learned the skill of using the right vocal tone, spacing, emphasis on certain words. In short, he has a dynamic approach to speaking.
People tend to hear what he says. Unfortunately, many do not seem to really listen to what he says and does not say. I am still waiting for him to show me something positive, original and that he has accomplished for the American People.
It is easy to talk about change. Especially, when it appears to be a popular idea. People should remember that we heard the same message 9 years ago...
Hillary is DONE, and she knows it. She doesn't care about anything other than power and most of America is happy to see her get what is coming to her. I look forward to her concession speech and hope that she is railroaded out of the Senate as well.
It is cclear that the President in office at the time NAFTA was sign into law was President Clinton. It seems that in this case the working class was stabbed in the back, Now here comes a new Clinton and she wants to change it. Where was the Clinton when it counted. Well now who is telling the truth????
I hardly think Obama has the right to criticize Clinton; he is a JUNIOR senator who has not even completed one full term.  He was not there when crucial decisions were made; he does not know the facts as presented to the Senate at the time. Further, I don't like the way he intrudes his arm and hand into Senator Clinton's personal space when he is talking during a sit-down debate.
Excellent article.  It looks as if Obama will say anything to get votes, but has not addressed his relationship with Farrakan and his anti American stance.  I seem to have read that Ibama's minister was also anti American and may have made some additional anti American statements regarding the 9/11 bombing.  Do we really want this in our country?
I think if Clinton decided to take the high road in this contest, I would have to be brought back around with smelling salts.  I was initially proud to see both a woman and an African-American with legitimate chances to becoming president but HC has disappointed me almost every time she's opened her mouth in the last two weeks.  She's desperate and it shows.
Obama's speeches for change and hope doesn't match his campaigns actions.  America wake up, he is a politician in and out raised from the political environment of Chicago.  To that, he is NO outsider.

Has America or the media truly scrutized what Obama's stands for?  I think not!

The media bias in favor of Obama has been unpleasantly shameful on the media parts.  But I'm please to see that slowly Obama actions are being compared to his speeches.

Speeches are fine, but what matters is action and the experience to make it happen.

As a culture, America is driven by first impressions of the "high school most popular student" syndrome.  But what we all know is that its the student that studies and does the work that is successful in the long run.

America dont waste your vote.  Hillay 08!
AN OPEN LETTER TO BARACK OBAMA

Your mailings, pointed out by Mrs. Clinton today, make you a hypocrite. Saying one thing in public, than you use mailings that are wrong, deceiving and hit below the belt.

You SHOULD be ashamed of using a quote from a newspaper that the newspaper itself retracted as not being a correct quote.

The Obama health care plan is inferior. You only need basic reading skills to read the Clinton health care plan and they your mailing, and see you're either using hyperbole or are simply printing and distributing an untruth. The Clinton web site (see link below) says: The tax credits will ensure that working families never have to pay more than a limited percentage of their income for health care.

http://www.hillaryclinton.com/feature/healthcareplan/

You are practicing the OLD politics of Washington and your claims of practicing the "politics of hope" and giving voters a different kind of choice have now been obliterated much like the spy satellite shot down earlier this week by the USS Lake Erie, named after that body of water on the northern border of Ohio. Obama is clearly cherry picking, parsing, asking what the definition of is, is, in order to make his attack.

Perhaps your candidacy, now rogue just like the satellite, will meet the same fate in the state bordered by its namesake lake.

Wouldn't that be eerie?
Obama's campaign 'honeymoon' must come to an end. He's used speeches from years back. He's pretending to be someone that he isn't. Plagerism is not the issue with Obama, but its his authenticity. He's not being genuine, and when one is not genuine in their dialogue it raises some serious questions about the person's qualification to be President of the USA.

He doesn't say how much his social plans will cost the taxpayer or where will all that money come from to pay for his programs.

I question Obama's fundraising. I think Oprah Winfrey is doing something behind the scenes to funnel millions of dollars to Obama. I feel there is something fishy going on.

Hillary Clinton knows the 'foreign diplomatic' landscape a lot better than Obama and she experienced first hand how her husband President Bill Clinton presided a strong national economy which quite frankly Obama is not ready to manage on day one as Hillary Clinton would be as President.

Hillary Clinton is more realistic when discussing the issues while Obama is using 'inspirational words of grandeur' that will be very difficult to turn into reality. Wake up Americans and vote wisely.
NAFTA was on President Bushes desk as he left office.
He also left NAFTA unsigned.
The first thing Bill Clinton did in office was to the detriment of this county was sign it into law.
The Clintons can not get from under that! No matter how hard they try.Our jobs went away and are not coming back.I for one don't want another Clinton in the white house. I stand behind the man who stands behind the men who stand on the wall and protect us.
Hillary Clinton has some nerve. She has been negative in mischaracterizing Obama's word. They've been calling him naive, not ready on day one, a plagiarist, all talk, and much harsher. Not to speak of all the negative emails you know likely has its genesis within the Clinton Campaign. I saw the mailers. They are accurate and Obama should print one for every voter in Ohio and Texas. She changes when it is time to run but she does not really care about workers.
I think anyone who believes what these two people claim they can do when they become President are fools. For example, if one of them becomes President and begins the immediate pullout of Iraq, what will they do when thousands of Iraqi civilains begin to get slaughtered. These two are telling Americans nothing and giving us no solid programs
Hillary is having a meltdown, first she is honored to be on stage with Obama and now she wants to harm him.  Those mailers were sent out weeks ago, but she now attacks.  What an Acting job.  She and her 35 years of experience did go for NAFTA, because she was Co-President she uses as her experience.

We know the MSNBC debate Monitors are going to give Hillary a pass and be hard as usual on Obama

BILL, HILLARY, JOHN McCAIN AND BUSH and their WAR have ruined our Country.

As Bill Clinton's Vote for NAFTA has ruined our Economy.Hillary's "Experience" is Bill's Legacy ...NAFTA, Welfare Reform, (GATT94)WTO, Telecommunications Act of 1996, Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act
.

.These were the achievements of the Clinton Presidency ... She can't say she has "Experience" and say she didn't support any of the efforts that defined Bill's Presidency ...
If she supported them, it shows poor judgment on her part ...

if she was against them, it shows that she didn't have influence with her husband regarding her disagreements with these issues ...

So what is it? Poor Judgment or inability to influence people and her President Husband to accept her so-called position against NAFTA?

Either way, those traits do not benefit the United States if they are displayed by the President

NAFTA signed into law by President Bill Clinton. [12/08/93]. They were Co-Presidents then, of course she supported it.

The Clintons are trying to revise History because Bill Clinton signing that NAFTA Bill has caused America's economy to be in the horrible condition it is in.

Of Course Hillary now has to distance herself from the truth as always. Her Vote for the Iraq War was WRONG on DAY 1
Her Solutions CAN NOT fix the MESS SHE and HER HUSBAND as well as George W Bush have created.

We have SPENT BILLIONS AND BILLIONS on her WAR Vote, we have lost our young women and men in this War as well as hundreds of thousands of Iraqi lives.

Our Infrastructure is crumbling and we borrow from China, but yet Hillary says her VOTE FOR WAR has nothing to DO with our poor economy.

Hillary and McCain are one in the same, of course they are BEST FRIENDS BFF.Hillary like Bush, cannot admit when WRONG!!!

But she does not have the SOLUTION to the MESS she and her President Husband have created.

What is so amazing they think they can fool the American People and she thinks her ANGRY Tactic can Fool Americans and News Media.

I believe that passing misleading mailers to the public by the Obama campaign that misrepresent Sen Clinton stands on these issues of NAFTA and HC are shameful and wicked attacks to sway voters to their side.  His message of Change is nothing but empty rhetorics and he would say anything that people would like to hear except the real truth.  Obama relies on blowing a lot of air because he does not have a record to stand on. So he says he will change politics in Washington? His actions now belies what he says.  He is politics as usual.
AS FAR MR OMBAMA"S CREDENTIALS GO HE IS NO MORE QUALIFIED TO BE PRESIDENT THEN ANY ONE ELSE SEEKING THIS OFFICE AS FOR MRS OMBAMA  I AM SUPRISED FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HER LIFE SHE IS PROU OF AMERICA WHERE ELSE WOULD SHE HAVE THE PRIVILEGES AND FREEDOM SHE HAS ENJOYED IN THIS COUNTRY SHE'S COME A LONG WAY
Senator Clinton can put out a flier in Wisconsin, but Senator Obama is using Rove tactics when he follows suit? The hypocracy is deafening. Polls show Obama has caught up in both Texas and Ohio, that's the real reason for the sudden change in tactics(outrage).
Senator Clinton's new found anger is ironic, considering her new ad showing how sensitive and warm she is(was).  I don't think Senator Obama responded to Clinton's attacks by prudishly lecturing her.  Ouch!!
I think its about time the american people wised up during the election year. No matter who is running for office they all say they will do this and that but it never happens i would like them to say i will try and do my best for the people of this country. #1lets get rid of all the tax loop holes for the rich and give the middle class a brake lets start by not having to pay Taxes on the first 30.000.00 of our income.
Hooray for Hillary!!  And shame on Barack Obama for continually misleading his followers with false statements about the Clinton campaign.  He is the one pointing fingers and being smarmy. She knows what she is talking about and is passionate about the issues and challenges ahead.  Answer to the issues and how you will address them Mr. Obama and quit dodging them.
What Obama is doing is making me sick to my stomach. I am an independent and already certain people in public are behaving like Obama already won and believe me, that is not good.  He is deluding the people. Talk is very, very cheap and the American people better QUIT LOOKING TO OBAMA AS "OUR SAVIOR." My war cry has been "he's doing exactly what Bushie did" and I agree with Hillary all the way---Fool me once, shame on you---Fool me twice, shame on me.  WAKE UP AMERICA!  If Obama wins the delegates, I've voting for McCain.
HRC needs to attend anger management sessions. Public outbursts and using such language against a fellow presidential contender is despicable. She needs to learn how to disagree without being disagreeable!
She is a hypocrite and should not be throwing stones. One of these days her glass house is going to shatter. I live in New York and she has done very little for my state (I said little, I did not say she does nothing so please don’t get upset) and how can we expect her to do better by taking on a much larger responsibility? We cant and we shouldn’t.

Shame on you Hillary for trying to pull the wool over our eyes.
Hillary Clinton sounds matronly, like she's Barack Obama's mother. Who does she thik she is? She should quit trying to find something wrong with Barack Obama and get on the team.
In response to this article ("Clinton on the Attack"), I am fully behind Sen. Clinton.  I agree with her 100% on all of it.  My husband and I are Republicans, but if we had to choose between Obama and Clinton we would vote for Clinton.  Obama is just desperately throwing everything and anything out there for the voters.  He is tickling their ears with what they want to hear.  He is not being realistic about the issues, and change for the sake of just change is not real change at all.  I don't know if I want someone in the White House with a name like Osama,  I mean Obama.
I understand why Hillary is upset.  Barack is casting more doubt about Hillary than he probably has himself about her.  Nonetheless, his statements are accurate and can be backed up when challenged.  One could argue it's misleading, but at the same time, it's true.  Certainly, this is not that big a deal in politics today.

Barack has said repeatedly that both want universal health care.  Both seek to get there differently.  He's pointing out a challenge in getting there with her plan.  She's done the same with her claims that his plan leaves out 15 million people.

On NAFTA, she supported it; her husband signed it.  Of course, now that jobs are gone in the midwest, she saying it needs "change."  I'm sure she believes that and is right.  Problem is, she won't be able to escape her previous support.  Again, her current position is probably fine, but the truth of her previous position is being exploited by Barack for political gain

Is that OK?  You be the judge.  Is Barack living up to his ideals?  You be the judge.  What I will say is Hillary is surely the pot talking to the kettle.
Hillary no more cares about the death of that officier than the man in the moon. She is doing what I have seen her always do, she is the most ridiculous, opportunist ever before seen in politics. Remember she moved to N.Y. so she could become a senator. Her and Willie are wearing thin their welcome in Texas. She is one big drama queen. All of the hardest times she claims she has been through. She dosen't know what hard times are. Obama comes from the middle class in this country, Hillary comes from that 1% wealth. Who can you trust? I put my trust in someone who has been there and lived it like me.Just because a fat broad went down on Willie, is nothing amazing. So don't claim to know what me or other middle class folks go through all day everyday. Go back to N.Y. and make their lives worse not mine.
Looks like Hillary is going down and dirty. No way she could win me over this way.
This  is exactly why, I and several others will change their vote. If you want so called "Change, we can believe in" then we need to go with "Change with a PROVEN RECORD, PROVEN SOLUTIONS”.  I researched and Obama Camp has been misleading the American People and is starting to LOOK  Like the political tactical maneuvering of The “ ROVE” administration.
