Oh-eight (D): 'They call him (her) flipper'

Who's a flip-flopper? The Washington Post notes that both Clinton and Obama have been flip-floppers. "A review of the two candidates' records shows that both senators have shifted positions on numerous issues as the competition for votes has become more intense. In some cases, the shifts have been subtle, a change of emphasis rather than an obvious reversal. But on other issues, both candidates are saying things that are quite different from their previous positions.”

In fact, here are each candidate’s top-five flip-flops. For Obama: special interest money (he's now happy to get labor support); public financing; Cuba; illegal immigration and decriminalization of marijuana. For Clinton: NAFTA, No Child Left Behind, Iraq, driver's licenses for illegal immigrants and the FL/MI delegate debacle.

The Boston Globe: “While political analysts said that Nader is unlikely to repeat his performance in the 2000 election, in which he won nearly 3 million votes, his presence on the ballot could still have an impact if the contest is close. In 2004, Nader won about half a million votes, including nearly 33,000 in Florida.”

CLINTON: The Los Angeles Times looks at Clinton's shifting tactics. "With her White House prospects in jeopardy, Hillary Rodham Clinton has shifted from one tactic to another in trying to overtake rival Barack Obama. She tried TV ads saying he ducked debates. She accused him of plagiarism. She disparaged his huge crowds. She called his attacks on her shameful and dishonest. On Sunday, Clinton turned to ridicule. ‘Now I can stand up here and say: Let's just get everybody together, let's get unified, the sky will open, the light will come down, celestial choirs will be singing, and everyone will know we should do the right thing, and the world will be perfect,’ Clinton told supporters here at Rhode Island College.”

“‘Maybe I just lived a little long. But I have no illusions about how hard this is going to be,’ Clinton continued. ‘You are not going to wave a magic wand and have the special interests disappear.’”

The Washington Post writes about Clinton's more populist tone, noting that she's sounding more like John Edwards these days. "Eager to recapture the white, working-class voters who favored her in some of the early primaries but who have since shifted to Sen. Barack Obama, Clinton traded her usual wonky style this weekend for a fiery, populist tone in speeches in Ohio, Texas and Rhode Island. Instead of giving precise policy details, she repeatedly pointed her finger skyward, declared that Americans ‘got shafted under President Bush’ and cast herself as a fighter, as Edwards often described himself, promising to help most Americans, not just the ‘wealthy and the connected.’”

Apparently, Clinton was reassuring donors over the weekend that she was in good shape for March 4.

And in case you missed it, over the weekend, Clinton apologized for the comments her husband made that were seen by some as racially charged.

OBAMA: The New York Times does the Obama safety story. "There is a hushed worry on the minds of many supporters of Senator Barack Obama, echoing in conversations from state to state, rally to rally: Will he be safe?"

For what it's worth, we've found this to be a generational thing; Folks old enough to remember the assassinations of the '60s are the most worried; those under 50, not so much.

This is one of handful of conservative columns we've seen of late that hits Obama on his ego. It seems one of the talking points that could become louder over the next few months. Here's NYT's Kristol's shot: "So we don’t have to work to improve our souls. Our broken souls can be fixed -- by our voting for Barack Obama. We don’t have to fight or sacrifice to help our country. Our uninvolved and uninformed lives can be changed -- by our choosing Barack Obama. America can become a nation to be proud of -- by letting ourselves be led by Barack Obama."

The Los Angeles Times’ Z. Barabak looks at Obama's success at wooing Republicans. "Many are skeptical that Republicans will stick with Obama until November. They point out that many of his proposals -- including a timetable for ending the war in Iraq, repealing Bush's tax cuts for the wealthy, expanding the government's role in healthcare and supporting gay rights and gun control -- cut too much against GOP orthodoxy."

At some point, Obama has to deal with this increased criticism as penned by Roll Call's Stu Rothenberg: "Maybe if Obama wraps up the Democratic nomination in the next few weeks, he’ll give all of us a better idea of what he’d really like to do as president. We can only hope so. Another eight months of soaring but empty rhetoric about bringing people together and bringing about change will leave most of America brain-dead."

Here's an endorsement Obama could have done without: Louis Farrakhan. "In his first major public address since a cancer crisis, Nation of Islam Minister Louis Farrakhan said Sunday that presidential candidate Barack Obama is the ‘hope of the entire world’ that the U.S. will change for the better. The 74-year-old Farrakhan, addressing an estimated crowd of 20,000 people at the annual Saviours' Day celebration, never outrightly endorsed Obama but spent most of the nearly two-hour speech praising the Illinois senator."

Said Obama campaign spokesman Bill Burton: "Sen. Obama has been clear in his objections to Minister Farrakhan's past pronouncements and has not solicited the minister's support."

The entire fascination with "flip flops" is absurd. All politicans change their minds more than once in any period you care to look at. While plenty of their decisions seem opportunisitc and politically motivated, it's unfair to single out these few people who decided to run for POTUS. Check Congress and local/state politics: there are plenty of flip-floppers - from both sides.

http://www.political-buzz.com/
This is getting ridiculous.  Senator Clinton appeared mentally unhinged at her Rhode Island rally yesterday when she started talking about messianic complexes.

A message to Senator Clinton and all your crazies: YOU are the ones who are delusional.  Every time you call states that voted for Senator Obama "meaningless," demographic groups that voted for Senator Obama "fringe," and supporters of Senator Obama "delusional," it is YOU who demonstrate your striking disconnect with America.  It seems as if the only group left supporting this curious brand of politics is white woman over the age of 60.  Are they supporting Senator Clinton because of what she stands for or voting against Senator Obama because they can't stomach the thought of what we've heard from some of the unhinged members of the bloggarati, that "arrogant boy from Illinois" (code word for black).

Every time Clinton or her supporters makes a charge these days, you can be sure that she or they have done precisely what they're accusing the other side of doing (case in point being the rants from some about how "those obamanaiacs are so nasty...".
Hillary's chameleon acts are growing very tiresome.
And lets talk about How Clinton is running a mailer with Obama in Somali wear to scare people inot thinking he is a muslim. Muslims all over the world should be outraged.

And the fool who said that Bill ORielly has someone who says Obama smoked crack and had gay sex??? Are you serious? Do you think he would run for anything if he really did this?
Get a life.
First, anyone that still thinks Bill Kristol has any kind of credibility is already a delusional authoritarian.  No serious person believes what the man writes, because he clearly is making so much of it up.  It would hurt an honest person to write the things he does.

Secondly, the "empty rhetoric" line has gotten old, hasn't it?  Obama has given plenty of speeches with policy proposals (college tuition assistance, what he'll do with al-Qaeda, trade, etc.), yet we keep hearing the "empty rhetoric" refrain.  Do any of these columnists listen to what Obama actually says, or has on his website?  He's not devoid of policy proposals.  Perhaps all these columnists just plagiarize off of Bill Kristol...?
The Washington Post writes about Clinton's more populist tone, noting that she's sounding more like John Edwards these days.

Isn't he sitting at home on the porch these days????

Trying to hide behind her husband's stand on NAFTA in Ohio will be the end of her campaign.  Face it Hillary, you got caught with your hand in the cookie jar when you supported NAFTA.  Now that you're trying to flip flop and say you were against it, that won't play well in Ohio.  Tell the people that lost jobs in Ohio because of your husband signing the bill back in 1993.  He didn't have to sign the bill, nobody put a gun to his head and told him "your brains or your signature will be on that bill Mr. President".  he signed it and that is why Bill is no longer welcome in Ohio.  To blame the first President Bush just goes to show how much more seasoning you need to become President Hillary.  If Hillary Clinton had any brains, she would sponsor a bill today to end NAFTA.  That will guarantee her a fair chance in Ohio.

Hillary was BORN to flip-flop every week. She sticks with nothing, changes a stance in front of any audience, and could not even begin to unite the 2 parties in Congress. Obama to the rescue.
‘Now I can stand up here and say: Let's just get everybody together, let's get unified, the sky will open, the light will come down, celestial choirs will be singing, and everyone will know we should do the right thing, and the world will be perfect,’ Clinton told supporters here at Rhode Island College.”

One of the many reasons I find it hard to support Obama.  He's a member of the Congress, hasn't he figured out that they have a say so too?  He likes to say how he didn't vote for the war...yet he wasn't a Senator at the time.  Does he think because of his lovely speeches that the conservatives in Congress will bend over for him.  What's he smoking?

He doesn't mention that when he finally went to a Senate Foreign Relations Committee meeting he wrote his staff member a note saying "shoot me now".

He distanced himself from his family because they are Muslim.  He distanced himself from his beloved "spiritual leader and mentor" because he is divisive and racist and an anti-semitic.  He even distances himself from his own words written by him in books.

The Press are so afraid of being called racist if they ask a negative or controversial question of him.  They have created a "Savior" the Obamessiah.  They have created hype and hysteria and are loving it.  What DID happen to journalistic integrity?

Has Obama really wooed the Republicans?  I highly doubt it.  They want him as nominee because of his past which they will exploit and because he has no experience.  And don't tell me experience doesn't matter.  Don't tell me it's History.  If you believe that is so, then tomorrow will become the history of tomorrow.  Then everything before today means nothing, not the holocaust, not slavery, nothing.
The remaining voters should ask themselves: "If Hillary Clinton doesn't become president, will America crash and burn?".  Essentially, that is what she is suggesting and it's beyond absurd.  For those who haven't voted yet I ask you to ponder this:

Hillary Clinton = Mondale, Dukakis, Gore (before he became cool), Kerry.

Barack Obama = A January 20, 1961 newly elected John Kennedy saying these words: http://www.yale.edu/lawweb/avalon/presiden/inaug/kennedy.htm
I wonder if the young Republican girl, Hillary Clinton, rolled her eyes at Mr. Kennedy's flowery words? The upside to Obama is JKF. The downside is more of the same Clinton/Bush nonsense.  This is a no-brainer.
Any Clinton Supporter wondering if Republicans will stick with Obama need not worry. They deffinately WILL NOT vote for Hillary Clinton in November.
mrs. clinton declares / “‘Maybe I just lived a little long. But I have no illusions about how hard this is going to be,’ Clinton continued. ‘You are not going to wave a magic wand and have the special interests disappear.’”

agreed mrs. clinton, but you don't have to wallow in their dirty money and kiss their ass either.

When has America become so shallow minded?
You want to here Mr. Obama talk about more than just rhetoric? you want substance right? it has been here for quite some time. If want to read about what Mr Obama wants to do as President check here: http://www.barackobama.com/issues/

If you want more substance in his speeches, watch this Interview for Google he gave, All of it.
Here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m4yVlPqeZwo
You CAN NOT make the case of his speeches lacking substance or Say he doesn't have a plan as President without viewing these links. NBC,FOX,CBS, and ABC should all know better. So should all these dumb bloggers and Newspapers.
The thing most Dems hate about Bush is his un-willingness to change. It seems abit hypocritical to complain about the Dem nominees flip flop...
Please, I can put up with a lot, but do not compare this man to JFK.
Barack:  Arabic for "blessed one", taken directly from the Koran.
Hussein: "Handsome One", Arabic.
Obama: One letter away from Osama...

If this man's NOT a Muslim, then WHY does he elect to keep a MUSLIM name?  After all, if Cassius Clay can change HIS name to Muhammed Ali, certainly B. Hussein Obama can change HIS to something "Christian" (as he claims to be) like Barry Alabama.

If ANYONE of you fawning Obamaites out there know of ANY Muslim who has EVER converted to CHRISTIANITY, then please share it with us.  It is FACT that ANY MUSLIM who "leaves" the religion is marked for death.

Barack Hussein Obama is a Muslim...make NO mistake about it.  He will destroy the United States of America if he is elected President...God forbid (OUR God, not HIS).
FARRAKHAN IS BACKING OBAMA, PUBLIC INTEREST IS BACKING OBAMA, HES VOTED FOR PARTS OF NAFTA, HIS HEALTH CARE WILL/CAN FINE OR GARNISH A PARENTS WAGE,HE HAS PUSHED THE WRONG BUTTON DURING VOTING OR JUST DOESN'T SHOW UP (SINCE HE CAN'T VOTE PRESENT)
HE DIDN'T SHOW UP TO THE AFRICAN AMERICAN STATE OF THE UNION (HILLARY DID)
THINKS ITS OK TO HAVE 30% INTEREST OR MORE ON CREDIT CARDS OR LOANS. (SLEEPING WITH THE FINACIAL CORPS. IS NEVER GOOD)
HAVING HIS QUOTE HITLER, AND SAYING ITS THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE I'VE BEEN PROUD. (PLEASE I AM THE SAME AGE AND JEWISH AND I'VE BEEN PROUD EVERY F---ING DAY)
HE HAS GOTTEN A FREE RIDE FROM THE REPORTERS,(CHRIS MATHEWS WAS HORRIBLE ONE OF THE LAST TIMES HE INTERVIEWED ELIZABETH EDWARDS, BUT NOT TO DEAR MICHELLE)
HE HAS A FLOCK OF DRONES THATA HAVE BEEN THE MOST RACIST, SEXIST PEOPLE I HAVE HEARD.
AND IS HE REALLY ON THE DOWN LOW AND STILL USING?

YEAH! YOUR RIGHT JUST THE GUY I WOULD WANT TO VOTE FOR
mrunpc:

What is the matter with you and people who spew this nasty stuff? Christianity, in it's grace, does not require anyone to change their name to accept the faith and it's doctrines. His mother and grandparents were Christians, though not regular attendees at church. So what? His father was a Muslim, so what? He lived for awhile in Indonesia and attended school, but not a Muslim school, but so what if he had? Indonesia is a Muslim country!! I think America, and we Christians, are willing to take a leap of faith with this man: we will be united, the world will be ready to accept us as friends again, and Americans will benefit! And SHAME on Hillary for mocking us!!

GO OBAMA!
I think that by mocking Senator Obama's message, Senator Clinton is also mocking his supporters.  Yes, we like his positive message (most of us have tried despair for the past seven years, and a message of hope sounds pretty good for a change), but the great majority of us have also been to his website and also heard him speak about his healthcare plan, his economic policy plans, etc.  There have been 19 debates, for cryin' out loud.  If  you want to know where the candidates stand, watch, read, listen.

Senator Clinton should be more careful about alienating Obama supporters, though.  She's going to need us if she becomes the nominee.  Now, it sounds like we'll have another choice (Ralph Nader) if she keeps dissing us!
WHY DOESN'T OBAMA SUPPORTS EVER QUOTE ANYTHING THAT ISN'T ON HIS WEBSITE.
IS HE REALLY ON THE DOWN LOW? THAT WOULD BE SOMETHING TO HAVE A BI-SEXUAL IN THE WHITE HOUSE.
Since the NY Times ran a wonderful eight year old story on John McCain will they follow suit on Barack Obama?

We were treated to the Obama Girl, will we now be treated to the Obama Man - Larry Sinclair?

Bill O'Reilly alluded to Sinclair last week. Fact, fiction or muckracking?  It is better to know now in view of Obama's admitted cocaine use!
She flips.

HE FLOPS!!

Any Clinton Supporter wondering if Republicans will stick with Obama need not worry. They deffinately WILL NOT vote for Hillary Clinton in November.

And they freaking won't vote fro OBAMA either. So your point is?
Why are Democrats parroting a Republican spin doctrines? Flip-flop? what are we 12? I can't recall any politician not changes directions when faced with voter disdain.

To single out Hillary or Obama alone is irresponsible, when recalling Sen. McCain's policy changes this year alone! Isn't that he same reason why staunch conservatives have a problem with him now?

I think this is the beginning of critical thinking in America. Voters aren't being led by the tv alone.
I want to know about Sinclair too. Is Obama really on the down low. Why isn't anyone clearing this up.
Maybe Jerry from Corpus Christi knows he seems to know everything about Obama.
Hillary will say and do anything to win. Her credibility is evaporating by the day. She should preserve her legacy and refrain from coming across as so patronizing.
I am sooooooo tired of the past 7 years with a mean-spirited administration, and I don't want another one headed by Hillary. It is one thing for a Republican candidate to try to throw dirt in our eyes about a Democrat candidate, but it is outrageous for a fellow Democrat to do it. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

When the primary season began I knew I would vote for Obama. But I thought if Hillary ended up the nominee I would vote for her in the general election.

As the primaries passed by I became increasingly turned off by Billary's tactics and decided if she were the nominee I just wouldn't vote in the general.

However, I've now become so offended by her and her campaign's demeaning remarks about Obama, as well as their distortions about him, that I've decided to vote for McCain if Hillary is the nominee. Given how much I dislike McCain, this gives you an idea of my feelings about Hillary.
Instead of all this bickering about Obama v. Clinton....just for Republican and all this nonsense will go away and you will be happier.  Its B. Clinton that put us on the path for this recession....its really too bad Bush didn't get much of a change to fix his failures since he had to protect all the whiney democrats from terrorists.
With a few exceptions, you all must work for the MSM. All this Clinton bashing is really ridiculous. Look at things objectively and you will see they are ALL flawed. Because they are human. I do have to say this though, anyone thinking Obama will hold his Independent and Republican voters during the General is dead wrong. Have you learned anything over the past 8 years? They will rally around their own. They have crossed over in every open Primary to cast a vote for Obama because they know they will mop the floor with him in November. And now with his Farrakan endorsement, they'll go running for the hills.

We know the Republicans will unite, the question is whether we as Democrats will. I'm not so sure that's the case and then Bush will have his 3rd Term after all.

The Person the Republican fear worst is Hillary Clinton, not Barack Obama. So, voters, think hard before you cast your ballot and always remember what the Republican Party is capable of as you do.
The Republicans are loving all this in-fighting.  Democrats have the circular firing squad in full effect.  When will we learn?  Not this election, I guess.  I support Barak Obama but would certainly not be so petty as to ignore my deeper convictions and vote for a Republican.  Hillary supporters (and the few Obama supporters, too) stop trying to tear the party apart and unite behind whomever wins the nomination.
you all need more help than will ever be available in this leif ,betting very ones that voted gw in are the oens screaming now,,,so much hoopla and lies ,,just forward the only parts thats the dirtiest or the worst ,,heaven help anyone who would like to hear THE POSITIVES  and try to decipher the outrite liars from the media ,,one and same ,,yeh,, go america!! god bless america ,,cause the ones ive read and hear ,seem to have LOST  it ALL
Hillary Clinton has been running for president since at least 1998, when her husband lied under oath about his relationship with an intern.  Bill Clinton was impeached, not because of the relationship, but because he blatanty lied about it UNDER OATH!  He is only the 2nd president in our country's history to do something disgracful and illegal enough to be impeached.  At the time, I thought, "Why doesn't he resign?"  Purgery, it would seem to me, is a serious crime that cuts at the very essence of the rule of law and the idea of justice, the foundation on which this country stands.  How can a president get away with this?  Well, he got away with it because the people let it slide.  To them, it was not about purgery, it was about sex, which most people agree should be a private matter.  Also, the Senate voted along party lines not to remove him from office.  Bill Clinton and the Senate Democrats disgraced this nation by disregarding the rule of law and the Constitution.  I thought, Bill Clinton could resign with less than 2 years remaining in his 2nd term, giving Al Gore the opportunity to go into the 2000 election as the incumbant with the possibility that he could serve another 2 full terms (maximum of 10 years).  We all know how close that election was.  So why didn't he resign for the good of the Democratic Party in America?  In my opinion, he didn't resign because that would have hampered his wife's chances to run for president sometime in the future, maybe 2004 or 2008.  This issue became a great opportunity for the popular first lady to gain an enourmous vote of sympathy, and, sure enough, she moved to NY and began her run for the white house.  Am I the only one who saw this coming back then, and just how egomaniacal and deliberate this strategy was?  People like to blame Ralph Nader or Catherine Harris or Jeb Bush or the FL state legislature or the US Supreme Court.  But, in my view, if you want to blame the Bush presidency on anyone, blame it on the Clintion's.
How many tears will Hillary shed to gain enough sympathy votes to become president?  I guess we'll have to wait and see.

To Just Wondering in Wisconsin: First of all you are cheering for a Muslim that want to take over your and my country. From where do you think that Obama is getting so much money in the Internet? 65% the money he is getting comes from Muslims that are using the Internet because is difficult to track. At list I know one that told me that they are given money to Obama using the Internet because they don't want their names to be publish.
When you vote for Obama you are given away our country.
Remember Obama was born from Muslim origin, once you are a Muslim you are a Muslim for the rest of your life. Get it?
Obama can not Hope to bring changes because right now the trash wagon of the republican party they are going hit Obama where it hurt (say Muslim roots) and experience. that he is all speeches and no substance.
You and the rest of Obama camp are angry because Hillary decide to fight back.
Let me ask you a question are you a Muslim? because you really sound like one.
I Obama a real patriot?
I use my name because I am not afraid to tell the truth.
Where has Obama received any "special interest money" from Unions?

He accepts NO PAC money (unlike Clinton/McCain).

De-criminalization of marijuana is politically-negative.  This stupid country is full of hypocrities who would rather have drunks (Bush/Cheney; both convicted of drunk driving which kills people) in the White House than someone who smoked a bowl.

Hillary's flip-flop on Iraq is the most relevant to picking a President.

Choosing pre-emptive war on a country that didn't attack us is a worthwhile topic.
I saw Hillary on television yesterday and it was down right embarrassing. She's not just talking down to Obama but his supporters as well. That's not smart since if she's the nominee these are votes that she will need. I thought she was smart but now I'm not so sure. Book smart and street smart are different animals.

Hillary, please realize that Obama supporters don't think that as soon as he's in the White House, that manna will fall from Heaven. We know that any type of change will be difficult but you have to start with a new vision. If you had a vision for this country then your campaign wouldn't be changing directions every other day. Get real!

As for the plagiarism.....Meet the Press....showed Hillary repeating word for word from Bill's old speeches.....even the remarks from the end of the last debate. Now what can she say about that?
"Has Obama really wooed the Republicans?  I highly doubt it.  They want him as nominee because of his past which they will exploit and because he has no experience.  And don't tell me experience doesn't matter.  Don't tell me it's History.  If you believe that is so, then tomorrow will become the history of tomorrow.  Then everything before today means nothing, not the holocaust, not slavery, nothing. Clinton supporters, in my opinion, tend to be a bit short-sighted. They assume, quite unreasonably, that this election will be exactly the same as the last 3 or 4 or 5 elections before it. They don't seem to remember Reagan winning tons of Democrats in '80 or '84--obviously a Democrat will always vote for a Democrat in November, and a Republican will always vote for a Republican. If Republicans are expressing interest in an Obama candidacy, it HAS to be all chicanery and scheming master plans to defeat the Democrats in the fall.

This blogger seems to have an affinity for history. Well, look at the two '80's elections I just mentioned--Reagan was about as far right as you could get and he managed to win in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Why? Communication skills and a transformational message. And experience? Well, look at 1860, if you really want to talk about history. Lincoln was the most inexperienced candidate ever elected to the Presidency, but he sure was better than the more experienced Douglas would have been, or frankly than the massively experienced President Buchanan was. I will pick a smart, reflective, honest candidate over a programmed, inauthentic, slightly more experienced one every time.
[[Who's a flip-flopper? The Washington Post notes that both Clinton and Obama have been flip-floppers.]]

The correct answer is: John McCain, who strangely goes unmentioned in the post article and in the FirstRead blog. The corporate media must think it's really going to be hard to sell the public this turkey if they need to help him out by attacking Clinton and Obama's "flip flops" while ignoring the outrageous flip flops McCain has performed in order to pander to the extreme right:

McCain used to be  against tax cuts for the rich but now he's for them. He used to be for what the wingers call "amnesty" for illegal immigrants, but now he says he wouldn't vote for his _own_ immigration bill which he co-sponsored with Ted Kennedy to please the xenophobes. And worst of all, he used to be against torture before he was for it, as he demonstrated in voting to block the bill banning water boarding, which he himself called torture.

But the Washington Post sees fit to focus on the relatively modest changes in positions of the Democrats and ignore McCain's sudden conversion to the fascist agenda of the far right.

DO ON TO OTHERS AS THEY DO ON TO YOU.YOU CAN NOT MAKE A NEW MOLD UNTIL THE MOLD IS GONE!
@mrunpc: What an amazingly intolerant and bigoted post. For one thing, Islam is a religion, not a race -- to suggest that Barack Obama is a Muslim simply because his father was is rather ignorant. Obama has been vetted pretty thoroughly on this, and the fact is that he is not Muslim.

EVEN IF HE WERE, I don't understand why it would matter? Are you suggesting that all Muslims are bloodthirsty loons bent on destroying the United States? If so, that couldn't be farther from the truth. The views undertaken by Islamic terrorists are no more Muslim than the views espoused by Rev. Fred Phelps and his church (those who picket at the funerals of our fallen soldiers with signs reading "Thank God for Dead Soldiers" and worse) are Christian. Terrorists are an extremist fringe of the religion, and calling Obama a terrorist is both ignorant and libelous.

You might also do well to beef up on your theological knowledge, during which you might be surprised to discover that -- although very noteworthy doctrinal differences abound -- Muslims and Christians (and Jews, for that matter) worship the same God...the God of Abraham. Muslims believe that their religion "builds upon" and supersedes the Christian and Jewish religions, and often their beliefs are in conflict with Christian beliefs, but to declare that the religions do not worship the same God is fundamentally incorrect.
Flipper?, HRC will ride every wave, being that over opinionated is her main stay. The Clinton's have exhausted millions upon millions and think the people on giving, which I find as a blind trust! They have taken the depths using every rotten trick to shame others, but understand Billy boy wants to rule again.. Just what is this co-president horse crap? They the Clinton's are both liars and cons! I will be so glad when they are flushed down the toilet!
For all you Larry Sinclair-o-philes, he's failed two lie detector tests.  It is complete defamation coming from him.  The muslim accusations are false.  If you want to comment on his policies or record, do so.  But the slandering is hurtful to the entire democratic process.  If you want to talk scandals McCain supporters, you've got your hands full, and Clinton folks have NO leg to stand on.  Let's get back to issues...there's plenty to go on, whoever your for.  Or is it just too much work for you all to research something like voting databases and the legislation produced by our candidates.
Go ahead, do the work, stop slinging and try to understand what's at stake.  Who's done what and where do they stand.  Provide thoughtful arguements.  Here, I'll get you started...

I would hope, if a Politician is presented with new ideas, he/she WOULD be open-minded enough to change positions when warranted. I have NEVER understood the "flip-flop" premise. What? We reward someone for stubbornly sticking with views proven wrong?
Obama is the perfect child. How dare anybody question him.

Obama Cult ROCKS
Republicans are going to win again in November.  Democrats can't seem to take what is given to them... Kerry was ahead by 17 points against unpopular Bush in 2004. Obama and Clinton are behind already Rassmussen Poll February 23, 2008 in a general election matchup against Mccain.
These posts just go to prove the old adage:  "The best argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter."

This is presidential politics people, not the Jerry Springer show.  Think Hillary's a bitch?  OK.  So?  How does this detract from her abilities? It doesn't, so it's an invalid and a really sad argument.  Someone said Hillary seemed "mentally unhinged" in Rhode Island.  What??  I've seen the video.  Yeah, she had a little fun at Obama's expense, but to call her mentally unhinged is at best unfair and at worst blatantly dishonest and incendiary.  She is often called a liar when no one offers any specific example of her actually telling a lie.

Support whomever you wish, but base your support on facts, not assumptions and generalities. Free your minds, people.
Obamas is a muslim. His spokes person has said so.firsthe said he wasn'a muslim and then had to tell the truth that OBAMA is a muslim but not a practicing one,get that not a practicing muslim. The head guy Muslim in the far east,Africa or Isreal has said that the muslims were going to attack us from with in our country.may be Obama is the chosen one.How in the sam hill can some one who has been up in washington hardly two years run this country in time of two wars and the goings on in Africa where they are slaughtering there peopel.run this country. He talks of change which would take a hell of along time to make.He says if he gets to be president he will bring the troops home whith in a year.It will take a hell of a lot longer than a year to bring our troops home. From some one who knows it will take years for this country to get ot of Iraq and then some.I giess Obama hasn't heard of the Marshal Plan.As a general has once said if you break it you own it.Obama is a muslim and all they are taught is bout africa not about the UNITED STATES.You hear Obamas wife saying that after of all these years she is proud to be AMERICAN.Where in the sam hell has she been.Like Obama has said out of his own big mouth that he never got into washington but that he knew it neede a change. How in the hell would he know that if he never got into Washington.this country has been dam good to them. They both got to go to Harvad and got degrees. How many white people get to go to Harvard on the Government. With the two wars going on and the shape our President Bush has gotten this country in It will take someone with alot of experience to run this country, not some one who has been up in Washington omly a couple years, and that sure as hell will not be Obama the Practicing MUSLIM.
Sorry, but his supporters ARE bubble heads. What he opines about in his speeches is NOT going to happen. HRC is right. Republicans are going to fight tooth and nail to prevent universal health care. They're going to fight tooth and nail to keep their tax cuts. They're going to fight tooth and nail to get their guy in the White House. BO is inspirational and he does make you feel good about yourself and good about the country. But this just isn't the time for that. We need someone with some real operating skill and experience in the White House. I think he's very sneaky as well. When HRC brings up any criticisms, she's "going negative, using the same ol' Washington politics". Anything she says or does he accuses her of "being emotional" (pretty sexist, btw) or "being tactical", as if nothing she does or feels is genuine, as if he's the only genuine one. I don't think you do what HRC has done with her life simply because you want to get elected. You have to be driven to serve. She could easily be the head of some huge corporation or law firm. It is very unfair and judgmental to say she is in this just to get elected. That's about as absurd as saying teachers (self included) are in it for the money. HA! That's a good one.
Thank God, the Democratic Party has two very viable candidates this year.  Either one of them will outshine McCain this year.  Like I said before, on nights I have trouble sleeping, I am popping in a DVD of one of McCain's speeches.

On Hillary -- one of the lessons from Al Gore was that he had entirely too many handlers in charge of his campaign.  I get the feeling Barack is more in charge of what happens with his campaign and his message.  In Marketing, from letters to phone calls....sometimes LESS really is better.
Like it was pointed out by Edwards at their last debate Obama has SURPASSED Clinton on Special Interest
the just have alot people from the companies donate it for them instead of one big amount. Exceleron Corp. USBS, JP MORGAN, CITICORP,.
Look at other sites and clean your ears during the debates. (I was a Edwards supporter now I am a Clinton supporter)
She surprisingly is closer to his ideas and plans, Obama has gotten to big  for himself. And I am surprised Edwards has not endorsed her yet.
