Dean: Convention likely won't decide

From MSNBC's Adam Verdugo
In an interview with MSNBC's Norah O'Donnell today, DNC Chairman Howard Dean answered questions as to whether he would broker a deal in the Democratic race to prevent a protracted nomination fight.

"I think when someone gets to 2,025 it will be pretty clear," Dean said.

O'Donnell pointed out, "Well that's not going to happen in March or April, Governor."

"It could," Dean responded, "because I think you're already seeing movement among the superdelegates, the unpledged delegates and there will be more pledged delegates assigned as we go through this next round of primaries."

Dean ended with this prediction: "I think the odds are much better than 50-50 that the nominee will be decided before we ever get to Denver."

Muslim Americans for Obama '08' features the masthead comment, "DONATE TODAY: One $1 DOLLAR for ONE NATION UNDER GOD"

In case there is any doubt as to which "God" these folks are speaking of, the first two paragraphs make it abundantly clear.

With God's Name ~ Quran 49:13 Oh Mankind! We have created you male and female, and have made you nations and tribes that you may know one another. The best of you, in the sight of God, is the best in conduct. Allah is the best knower, aware.

As Salaam Alaikum, (The Peace of God Be Upon You) and welcome to Muslim Americans for Obama'08.

“Muslim Americans for Obama ’08,” proposes installing Muslim prayer areas in public places and giving Muslims time off for prayer and has denounced Obama’s colleagues in the U.S. Senate who happen to be Jewish.
Obama has been in the Senate since 05.  He has no foreign policy experience and will be shell shocked if he gets to the White House.  Hillary has been on the national and international scene for decades.  She has the connections and the history to get things done.  She can beat McCain but I do not believe Obama can.  Dean should have told Obama you be #2 for 8 years and then you can be #1 for 8 years and we lock up the White House for 16 years.  If we lose it will be his fault.
Joe,

It is very clear the first thing Obama would change once in the white house (well besides the locks and codes to the nukes), he would make the government a heck of a lot more transparent to the people it governs.
I think Senator Clinton has been placed in difficult position of defense rather than offense.  Any good strategist knows that it is easier to play offense rather than defense. We should not be so quick to rule the Senator Clinton out just because she does not currently have possession of the "delegate ball."  Any competitor knows that it is all about vantage point.  If the election of 2000 has taught us anything it should be the folly of calling a race before all the votes are counted. I believe Democrats are bigger than this despite what the pundits tell us to think.
Dean 08!
I think the closeness and vigor of the Democratic race has been beneficial so far. It's kept the interest on the Democrats and really has looked like the nation is finding its new direction after the Bush years. (In contrast the Republicans are just offering more of the same in John McCain.)
But I think it's time to end it now. I really hope Texas or Ohio makes a clear choice for Obama. It's taken a long time for the big states (and the superdelegates) to get to know and trust him, but it's clear now that even they are being swept up in the enthusiasm. At last there's a real optimism and sense of hope in the future. Please let there be a clear choice. I think Hillary will continue to have an important leadership role in the Senate. And I hope Bill Clinton can continue to make a contribution. At least the Clintons are now making statements that anticipate Obama's candidacy and indicate they'll be supportive of it. (Nobody but the Bush supporters want to see the Clintons and their campaigners attempting to tear Obama down.)

I think it has already been decided, but some people just refuse to acknowledge it. President Barack Obama. That has a nice ring to it.

Actually, President B.O. sounds like s**t!
