First thoughts: The GOP's disadvantages

*** The GOP’s Disadvantages: The New York Times’ Nagourney does a smart preview piece of how Republicans are likely to go after Obama in a general election, and are already doing so (on national security, taxes, his voting record, and even his middle name). But what the piece doesn’t mention is that the Republican Party is facing HUGE problems -- bigger than any candidate they could face. Indeed, just a look at other articles out there today should have the folks at the RNC reaching for the Tums: the Dem turnout in Texas, Obama and Clinton’s fundraising haul in just one month, and the youthfulness and diversity of the Dem electorate. And then there’s the Iraq war, Bush’s approval rating, and the fact -- as NBC political analyst Charlie Cook points out today -- that it’s difficult for one political party to hold onto the White House for three-straight elections.

*** Nevada redux? The Texas papers are reporting today that the Clinton campaign is apparently raising the specter of a lawsuit to challenge the Dem-sanctioned caucuses in the state that will occur on top of the regular primary voting. The motivation here by the Clinton camp is to discount the delegates Obama potentially wins during the caucus portion. Obviously, they are worried that narrow victories in Ohio and Texas will get overshadowed if Obama ends up with more delegates for the night, which is very possible because of his likely landslide win in Vermont and the caucus portion of the Texas prima-caucus. Is the state’s delegate-selection process screwy?  Definitely. But how does Team Clinton overturn a process that had been approved for quite some time? This would be the third time -- the Nevada caucus sites on the Vegas strip, and Michigan/Florida being the others -- that the campaign has questioned rules that had already been established.

*** Goin’ negative: We were about to write this morning about our surprise that Clinton hasn’t run a negative ad against Obama in either Ohio or Texas. But then we saw the new Clinton ad in Texas that appeared on TODAY. It goes: “It's 3am and your children are safe and asleep. But there's a phone in the White House and it's ringing. Something's happening in the world. Your vote will decide who answers that call. Whether it's someone who already knows the world's leaders…knows the military…someone tested and ready to lead in a dangerous world. It's 3am and your children are safe and asleep. Who do you want answering the phone?” Does it remind anyone of that LBJ Daisy ad? Ok, that's a little extreme… But it sure does raise the specter of fear. Of course, remember, primary voters are more likely to vote their heart than head, which may mean an ad like this won't be as effective as it would, say, in a general election. Meanwhile, Obama, who has outspent Clinton in Texas and Ohio considerably, has bought two-minute TV ad blocks in those states. No word on the content of the ads yet, but sounds like it could be another closing argument-type.

*** Blame Canada! CTV, the Canadian TV channel, isn’t letting the story die that an Obama staffer warned Canadian officials to ignore the campaign’s criticism of NAFTA. In fact, it even names an Obama official. (*** CORRECTION *** The man it names is an Obama adviser, not official -- Austan Goolsbee.)  The Obama camp has denied that any conversation like that occurred. Today’s CTV story also repeats the charge -- largely ignored yesterday -- that the “Clinton campaign has made indirect contact with the Canadian government, trying to reassure Ottawa of their support despite Clinton's words. The Clinton camp denied the claim.”

*** Delegate update: Obama leads Clinton 1,398-1,291. The NBC News Hard Count is now Obama 1,194, Clinton 1,037 (with 13 delegates still unallocated). Obama picked up another superdelegate yesterday to bring that total to: Clinton 254, Obama 204.

*** Money trouble: We’ve noticed today the McCain/FEC stories -- that McCain very well might have to abide by spending limits before the GOP convention -- are starting to roll in. But why is this only now starting to get more traction, compared with all the stories about Obama waffling on his pledge to accept public funds in the general? For one thing, the McCain story is much more complicated; certainly the Obama pledge hedge was an easier one to tell. But is this starting to become a problem for McCain? At the very least, it makes it MUCH more difficult to criticize Obama for waffling on public funds…

*** On the trail: Clinton, in Texas, holds rallies in Waco and San Antonio; Huckabee has five events across the Lone Star State; McCain tours Dell in Round Rock, TX and then raises money at the Four Seasons in Austin before heading to Arizona; and Obama, also in Texas, stumps in Houston, Brownsville, and Selma.

I live in the greater Columbus Ohio area, and I just decided I am voting for Obama.  I tried really hard to understand why Hillary is running for President.  I just feel she is really self-centered to believe it was her divine right to be president; either by her name or because she is a woman.  I think Nancy Pelosi or Diane Feinstein would be better woman candidates for the Democrats.

Senator Obama just has that ‘something’ to go along with his articulateness and intelligence to succeed.  I hope he wins.  I also hope that he helps to dethrone all of the Rush Limbaughs of the world and instills a new decency to politics in our country.

If NYTs writes something negative about the Republicans (which is always the case), then it must be a lie.
I hope that 3am call to Hillary doesn't wake up Bill, or his girlfriend.

Read the report about the Texas republicans who are tactically voting for BO but will vote Republican in November.  This supports the theory why he was doing so well in red states, with open contests.  It also does not bode well for his chances in November as he will not be the choice of the majority of Democrats!

Vote for the Democrats choice for nominee!
MSNBC: You know what would be a good idea - producing a program once a month entitled - “American History Night”. Keith Olbermann would be ideal as host.

People in this country haven’t a clue. Sean Hannity, Bill O’Reilly, Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Bill Cunningham, Ann Coulter and their ilk. What’s dangerous is the following they have. From what I read on these threads, I can’t believe how ignorant people are in this country. What happened?

Last night, Sean Hannity reminded me of the Judge in Berlin in 1944 when he tore into defendants who were accused of trying to kill Hitler.  They never had a chance to answer the accusations.

Sean Hannity, just what is your problem? Barack Obama has distanced himself from Louis Farrakhan.  Your guest told you that 15 times last night. Weren’t you listening? No, of course not.

Let’s be clear here - Louis Farrakhan is not running for president. Barack Obama’s church leader is not running for president.

Your bigotry and hatred is showing Sean. It was on full display last night. Congratulations.
Thanks for finally noticing that John McCain criticizing Barack Obama about taking/not taking public funds in the general election truly is . . . RIDICULOUS. It is interesting that Senator McCain cannot seem to figure out how to follow the law that he helped to write . . . now THAT'S experience!

Obama '08
The kind of campaign that Barack Obama has run: smart, organized, well-managed, fiscally responsible, forward-thinking, inclusive, transparent, inspirational, and honest; is the kind of management and leadership that the United States NEEDS in the White House.

We CAN unite the American people again to do great things.

Obama 08
Vote for me or your children will die!
Anyone care to tell me that the Establishment is Not Scared? Barack Obama was attacked from every angle, yesterday, from the President on down to the GOP(Tennessee), McCain(tried & failed)Hillary(tried& Failed).Barack is showing the voter's he will Not let Any Attack go unanswered.

New Ohio( Democrat) poll out in Ohio has Hillary up 44-42%. New Texas (Democrat) poll has Barack up 48-42%.

I noticed yesterday when the Barack-McCain thread was put on 1st read, Not a Single(If hillary is'nt the nominee, i'll vote for Mccain post). It was clearly either Barack or Mccain, HMMMMMMMMMMM.

Also, in news out this morning, Hillary operatives in Texas threatening Lawsuit's over the Primary setup there.Have we heard this one before, somewhere?

Barack Obama for President!!!!!!!
Hillary is so desparate she's now resorting to the GOP fear mongering playbook. I am getting to dislike her more and more each day.
"But what the piece doesn’t mention is that the Republican Party is facing HUGE problems -- bigger than any candidate they could face. "

You mean, the NY editorial team, that endorsed Clinton, keeps giving articles trying to whip up fear that Obama might lose to Republicans without giving a fair shake to Obama's campaign?!  I don't believe it!

No actually, I do.  Between Krugman and the rest of those NYTimes puff piecers, Clinton's "the media hates me!" whine is absurd.  Another important point to add to the ones Mark Murray mentions above, is that Clinton is trying those exact same attack lines, and they aren't working.

"Experience" is falling on deaf ears- Obama's point that experience is only worth the judgment it gives you works well against Clinton, and it will work even better against the Republicans.

Obama's been consistently correct on national security.  The Republicans have proven they aren't the security experts with the Iraq War and their lack of diplomacy.
Hillary Clinton is running a Karl Rove campaign.  Of course she tried to level that charge against Obama last week; as with all her transparent attacks, whenever she's sliming someone on a tactic, you can be sure she's about to use it.

Hillary Clinton: ready to scare you on Day 1.

"I Barack Obama reject Washington politics. I want to change how presidents are elected. I pledge to accept public financing as the nominee because I believe in election reform....wait how much did I raise? Wow, that much... nevermind my promise, the hell with election reform!"

Yeah right he is different...sounds like same old same old Washington politics to me!
As an Obama supporter, I would like to extend my apologies to all of the Clinton supporters who have been belittled or insulted on this blog by supporters of my candidate.  This kind of vitriol has been flying from both sides and I sincerely hope that we can all take a deep breath and start thinking about what is really important in this election.

The truth is, this choice we are all making between Clinton and Obama is a pretty good problem to have if you’re a democrat who is fed up with the past seven years of our government.  I believe we have two very strong candidates who care about average working people and who want to reverse the terrifying trends we’ve all been seeing in American politics.

I’ve researched the positions of both candidates on most issues and, in all honesty, the policy platforms of both are about 95% the same.  So if you believe that the vision that Hillary Clinton has for our country reflects your values and priorities as a human being, as it does mine, then you should feel the same about Barack Obama and vice versa.  Both of these people are deeply committed to ending our disastrous war in Iraq, to addressing the health care crisis that is crippling our country, to changing our frightening approach to international trade that undermines our sovereignty and pushes the whole world into a global race to the bottom, to protecting social security from right-wing attempts at privatization, to creating an immigration policy that is just and sensible and not based in fear, in limiting the overwhelming power of huge corporations and other special interests that dictate far too many aspects of our lives in America.  I could go on but you get the point.  This is why I am so alarmed when I hear repeated threats by supporters on both sides to vote for McCain if their candidate is not successful.  Trust me, if you are interested in the kind of reform either Clinton or Obama represent, McCain is not your man.  The difference between a McCain presidency and a Clinton or Obama presidency is almost unimaginable.  Let’s all take a deep breath and put this vision we share for our country at the top of the priority list where it belongs.  I prefer Obama, but I will pledge to enthusiastically support Clinton if she gets the nomination.  I hope the rest of you on both sides will join me in preventing the self-destruction that has too often characterized the Democratic Party.

As I see it, considering that these two honorable democratic candidates have such similar visions for where to take our country, the choice between the two comes down to the process by which each will pursue the vision we have for America.  Hillary Clinton has been surrounded by high-stakes, challenging presidential politics.  She knows the ropes, has the connections, realizes how to flex some muscle to defeat our opponents and fight for changes.  Barack Obama offers the possibility that we might not have to always flex our muscle and beat down our opponents to achieve what we want.  I think he would approach problems from a position of finding common ground to build upon and including more people in the decision-making process so that more than just our allies have a stake in the success of our battles.  There is an argument to be made for both approaches.  Clinton’s aggressive and persuasive tactics could, if applied correctly, force a lot of change relatively quickly and be a major success or it could polarize the two sides and create gridlock.  Obama’s approach could create a more productive atmosphere in our government and result in us seeing politicians put aside their point-scoring, win-at-all-costs, ego-driven methods and work together for the first time I could remember, or partisans could continue on as they always have and derail his efforts at reconciliation.  I choose Obama’s approach because it appeals to the optimist in me and reaffirms my underlying feeling that people are basically good and will help each other if the circumstances don’t prevent it.  I could be wrong or I could be right.  I hope I’m right.

I don’t begrudge Hillary supporters their devotion to their candidate.  She is worthy of some devotion given the positive changes she has fought for, as is Barack.  They are both good people and devoted public servants.  I just hope we can all think carefully about what is really important in this election and imagine the divergent roads that our country could travel depending on whether McCain or either of the Democrats is at the helm.  No matter what happens in the rest of this primary season, let’s keep that in mind come November.
A question...I just read, on another blog, that McCains Advisor, Charlie Black, the Lobbyist who does lobbying work on McCains Campaign Bus, works for Mark Penn, Clinton's Chief Campaign Strategist! Anyone KNOW about THIS?

Doesn't that seem a LITTLE COSY?

McCain attacking Obama NOW, with Bushes help, HELPS Clinton AND McCain! McCain KNOWS that Clinton would be easier to beat, and Clinton is having McCain do her dirty work!

And WHO suffers? The Democratic Party, of course!

Wake up, America!

The Special Interests with NOT go without a fight!

Don't be scammed.

I am now going to call you out! Your prior postings over the last several months showed you were a staunch Hillary supporter. Now, you support Obama?  You, my dear, are a plant, either from the republicans, or the Obamabots.

As for all other postings, whatever!  Hillary self centered reason for running for president?  Please. As if ambition is a dirty word...anyone running for president is clearly doing it because of ambition.  And if you think Obama and McCain are running for the same reason, you are naieve.  Running a Karl Rove Campaign?  What planet do you live on...I live on Earth, you must live on Venus, full of gas.

All the bashing of Hillary is undeserved.
Neither Democratic candidate is going to reopen NAFTA. To do so would leave this country in worse shape than it is now.

Canada supplies 2 million barrels of oil A DAY to the US and under NAFTA it is TARIFF FREE.Do we really want our government to go back in and rip that up?

The Canadian Prime Minister, Stephen Harper, has already said in the Huuse of Commons that he'd welcome the opportunity to revisit.

At this time revisiting NAFTA would be a huge tactical blunder for us.
I have read reports of the 'Stop Hillary' cons scewing the election, but i'm afriad this group won't be the one's deciding who will win in November.  The 'manchurian candidate' has too many issues facing him right now to compete with Obama's efficient campain.  The beauty of it all is that McCain will try to appeal to the center abd alienate the far-right.  Look out for simular 'Stop McBush' con's ifluence in the general election.
John McCain really shouldn't push the issue on Obama on campaign finance. McCain want to talk about ethics, then answer me this, "What is ethically about using taxpayer money AS COLLATERAL for your loan to a New Hampshire bank to keep your campaign afloat?" If some people don't understand the question, here is the problem. When McCain was money trouble before New Hampshire, he accepted public financing. McCain didn't have enough money to really compete in NH so he got a loan from a bank in NH to compete with Romney, and he won.  But what if he would have lost; he wouldn't have to pay his dues back to the bank--we the taxpayer--would have had to and he wouldn't have to pay anything because he dangled Pub Financing for the Collateral. <Ethical? Not really. He gamed the system....
Finally, imagine that you found out that Clinton's chief strategist was not only her campaign's leading advocate for these attacks -- but was also the CEO of a public affairs firm whose DC-based lobbying subsidiary was headed up by John McCain's top adviser.

That is crazy, oh what a tangled web we weave!!
Hillary - the FEAR card? Really? Come ON...and wasn't Hillary the one screaming the other day about Barack's using "Carl Rove's Playbook" - Um, yeah, the fear tactic is right out of Carl Rove's Playbook...but hey, anything to win, right (oh, yes and that is right out of Rove's playbook too...what was that word I heard the other day? Oh, Clintrovian, seems to fit pretty well)

Oh, and nice of her to give John McCain a free add (Could have been an add for John McCain were it not for the last five seconds)
Is the Clinton ad an endorsement for John McCain? He could certainly run it against her.
I love it!!!
Barack could not answer the phone until his people worte him a speach....
Unless we want him stuttering as he did in the dabate....lol
Wake up!!!!
Clinton trying to manipulate the system again?  Are you really surprised?  Lets see...

- In Iowa, the Clinton campaign tried to tell Iowa College Students, who heavily favored Barack Obama, that if they did not “grow up in Iowa” that they “should not caucus”. “It’s terrible to have candidates making misleading statements about whether or not students can caucus,” said Alexandra Acker, executive director of the Young Democrats of America.

New Hampshire,  7 different polls, including those within the Clinton campaign, showed Obama over Clinton 39% to 30%.  The paper ballots in NH (20% of total) showed Obama over Clinton 39% to 30%, but the Electronic machines oddly had Clinton 39% to Obama 30%.  I'm sure that's just a coincidence....

- Nevada... law suits on Las Vegas caucus sites.  Then numerous Clinton precinct captains shutting the doors to the caucus sites at 11:30am, even tho state law said noon, refusing to allow anyone else in.

- New York Mayor Bloomberg charged that "fraud" was behind the unofficial results in the New York Democratic presidential primary that produced zero votes for Barack Obama in some districts.  In 80 districts, many headed by Clinton supporters, Barack Obama received ZERO votes.

- California,  hundreds of thousands of Independants, heavily supporting Obama, had their ballots tossed out due to "issues".  Some counties tossed out ALL of the Independant ballots.

- New Mexico, 3 ballot boxes were taking to the HOME of an election official, who was the husband of a elected official in NM that had publically endorced Clinton.  Clinton barely won NM after a long count of those ballots.

You can find these stories all over from credible sources.  Clinton's will stop at nothing to gain power.

Oh, and yet ANOTHER Clinton ad on this site.  Where are the ads for Obama, McCain, and Huckabee?
Go HRC! Run all the way to the convention! Don't let the media or the party bosses push you out! Fight till the end!
Love the commercial, too!
Love,
Johnny B. Good
When in doubt, attempt to change the rules so they become more favorable to you!
What I find hilarious about this is that the 'mighty talkers' are basically being ignored by their 'sheep'. Rush has been clamoring for his 'dittoheads' to vote for Hillary in the primaries in the belief that she will be easier to beat in the general. What Rush doesn't get is that there are Republicans who actually WANT Obama to win because they believe he really is the right person for the job. The other thing Rush isn't getting is that he and his clones are fast becoming irrelevant.

People are starting to wake up. It's about time.
A note on NAFTA...In Canada, NAFTA is seen as a negative. The general consensus among Canadians is that NAFTA took OUR jobs! Canada doesn't like NAFTA, either. Our Prime Minister drove it down our throats. Mulroney and Clinton were tight, they wanted an ACHIEVEMENT. So, yes, there are problems with NAFTA, but why don't we, BOTH COUNTRIES, open it up and see how it can better serve the PEOPLE and not the COMPANIES. A fresh look wouldn't hurt. Obama has brought a common sense approach forward that I feel will push the World to be more cooperative. It isn't JUST America. Other Countries are tired of watching their Leaders play political games. Enough! I hope for the Obama kind of Politics in my Country. We had a moral less Government in Chretien, and , I believe, that is why Harper was elected. He seems honest. A straight talker into good Government Ethics. I'm a liberal, yet voted for him , a conservative, for those reasons.

There may be a New World Politics, where Leaders are not Politicians but Public Servants.

The many faces and voices of Hillary Clinton, Chapter 29.

As the story continues, we see the Clintons resorting to fear & scare tactics to turn the voters looking for hope & the promise of a better future away from Barack Obama.

After using experience, ready day one, inevitable, it is my right, Obama is green, my opponent is all talk, mocking him and getting angry, the Clintons are now looking at suing Texas for how the Democratic primary/Caucus is set up.

I can't wait to get to Chapter 30.

Bottom line - They will say & do anything to win.

And this is who people would actually vote for?

Go figure!

Go Barack!!!
I'm a Republican and I would never vote in a Dem. primary. it stands to reason that could be happening, however, the Dem turnout should negate any amount of spoiler-minded Repubs doing that sort of thing.
Anyway, there is NO way the Obama will win ANY red state. His record will ensure that. The guy is anti-everything that Republicans stand for!
Also, it is SO ironic to me that Obama is perceived as a uniter, while McCain is verbally flogged by conservative radio for ACTUALLY sponsoring bi-partisan bills.
McCain '08
At least 1st Read is'nt letting their support for Hillary go Unnoticed.Another Hillary AD out on the World wide Web.Hey 1st read, they have 35 million now, no need to try & cram Hillary down our throat's. The majority of us, just don't care about her Ad's!

Canadian friend, that's a new on me, however i do know that Mark McKinon( i think) is a Democrat who is on Mccains bus right now.he has stated however if the nominee is Barack, he will Not be a part of Mccains run for the Presidency.McKinon also backed GWB!

As for Unity Monger, Hillary's supporter's are as Arrogant or even More Arrogant ,anyone with the ability to read can see from these post.Say what you will(that's your right)but don't try & tell Me, I can't see it with my Own 2 eyes.I will say this, I think it Wrong of Barack to say earlier on that he was'nt sure that Hillary could get his Supporter's if he was'nt the nominee, but he could get Her's.Unity is what will be Needed in the General, There is No Doubt about That!
Did anyone see Bush's news conference yesteday?  If it weren't our so called leader out there showing his hind end, it would almost be funny.  I can assure you all or international neighbors were guffawing out loud.  He has no clue over how us average folk are suffering (gas at 4.00 a gallon??????Ya don't say!), Mr. Plant stuffed him clean with the question about the average folk's recourse if their private phone calls get caught up in Osama's exchange, and the grand poobah of all:  he's whining because it's not fittin to be seen with a dictator and speak to 'em 'cause that would give the evil ones credibility.  WHAAAA???  I guess that's why he was seen dancing arm in arm with the king of Saudia Arabia, right after he gave them every weapon on our roster for wholesale and begged them to pump some more oil for us.  Excuse me, but weren't damn near 99.5% of the 9/11 highjackers Saudies????? No need to even mention Musharrif and Putin after that debacle.  sheesh......
The 3 am fear ad is very lame. If one listens very carefully to the President Want To Be Hillary lets the phone ring about (6) times, that's too many rings for me. This indicates Hillary is afraid to answer the call.

To paraphrase something said recently; “shame on you Hillary Clinton!!”  Playing the fear card is straight out of the Republican play book and it won’t work this year.  Her campaign is becoming an embarrassment to the Democratic Party.  Texas and Ohio voters, please end the pain.
You Obama-nuts are pathetic. The ad does not say your candidate is not going to answer the phone in an emergency, it says that she will be there to answer the phone and also says who would you prefer to be the one to answer the phone in an emergency. A very legitimate question. The same as - who are you going to vote for? This is an ad about choices - not negative at all. Get a life and get a real job!
Hillary for President! She will take Texas, Ohio, and Rhode Island. It ain't over yet.

That's because those conservative radio hosts believe that they are right and everyone else is wrong.  Everyone must do things their way.  They do not want to compromise.  They state this EVERY DAY on their shows.
I just love how the Clinton campaign repeatedly tries to change the rules that they all agreed on months ago when they don't act to her benefit.

Shame on you Hillary Clinton!
Ya'll can turn to McCain all you want for all I care.  When the overwhelming Democratic majority takes over in both House and Senate in Jan., either we will have a Democratic President to preside over real change, or McCain can look and act presidential with absolutely no veto power over absolutely anything.  Either get on the train of change, wave as it passes you by, or throw yourself under it:  it's coming no matter what.
I fail to see how Clinton's add is negative against Obama. It simply asks who you want to answer the phone, it is an add that talks up her experience. If Obama and his supporters are worried about his national security credentials, maybe he should have at least held an oversight hearing for NATO with his Foreign Relations Subcommittee.
The Clintons obviously represent the same interest who are behind Bush and the con agenda. Boil the frog slowly ?
The Republican party has not realized that the world has changed. Their ways and means are those of a world and a USA part in it that has past. They think only in terms of personal interest and private power and have not come to grips with the fact that all peoples want a share of the pie. Obama appeals to the knowledge and experience of most people who know this, at least instinctively. They know that we must take a new direction. They are not clear, and none of us are perfectly clear of the future. But, we know that the past and the conservative clinging to that past is not the answer. John McCain keeps bringing out persons on his stage to prop up his conservative credentials. They are all (including Jim Baker and his failed foreign policy)persons who simply do not have the courage to take the leap. I believe John McCain is an honorable man. I just don't believe he can take the country in any new direction that will keep it adaptable and capable of the change it must make. We must start now. We cannot wait longer. On the Obama name nonesense and his relationship with the Jews. It may help to know that BARAC was a Hebrew warrior. His name is known through the power of a true leader and Hebrew profetess Debora, a woman who did not mince her words and saved the Hebrew nation and directed BARAC. Go Hillary! Go Barack!Go Democrats! Begin that march to a new greateness for our nation!
PLEASE ! PLEASE ! PLEASE !
Let's NOT go overboard !!

Bill, Columbus OH: '...I live in the greater Columbus Ohio area, and I just decided I am voting for Obama.  I tried really hard to understand why Hillary is running for President.  I just feel she is really self-centered to believe it was her divine right to be president; either by her name or because she is a woman.  I think Nancy Pelosi or Diane Feinstein would be better woman candidates for the Democrats...'

Bill, Diane Feinstein is WORTHLESS
She apparently looks better from a distance
She voted for NAFTA, the Iraq War, the Iran War, Wire tapping Americans, torture, Atty Gen. Mukase and EVERY Supreme Court nominee the Republicans send down the pike....

I don't like Hillary, but not even she's THAT BAD
(they used to call DiFi the 'fighting housewife' ;-D)

Pelosi has been a disappointment as Majority Leader so far....Let's give her some time under a Democratic President

You ARE right about Hillary, though
Enough of the partisan fighting
What's the purpose ?

I guess she's really OK with NAFTA, too
SURPRISE !!

Fear. That's what I feel when I watch the Clinton ad.

Empowerment. That's what I feel when I watch the Obama Texas anti-lobbyist ad.

I would rather be empowered than frightened. But that's just me...
YOU MIGHT BE AN IDIOT:-)

If you think Barack Obama with little or no experience would be better than Hillary Clinton with 35 years experience.

You Might Be An Idiot!

If you think that Obama with no experience can fix an economy on the verge of collapse better than Hillary Clinton. Whose ;-) husband (Bill Clinton) led the greatest economic expansion, and prosperity in American history.

You Might Be An Idiot!

If you think that Obama with no experience fighting for universal health care can get it for you better than Hillary Clinton. Who anticipated this current health care crisis back in 1993, and fought a pitched battle against overwhelming odds to get universal health care for all the American people.

You Might Be An Idiot!

If you think that Obama with no experience can manage, and get us out of two wars better than Hillary Clinton. Whose ;-) husband (Bill Clinton) went to war only when he was convinced that he absolutely had to. Then completed the mission in record time against a nuclear power. AND DID NOT LOSE THE LIFE OF A SINGLE AMERICAN SOLDIER. NOT ONE!

You Might Be An Idiot!

If you think that Obama with no experience saving the environment is better than Hillary Clinton. Whose ;-) husband (Bill Clinton) left office with the greatest amount of environmental cleanup, and protections in American history.

You Might Be An Idiot!

If you think that Obama with little or no education experience is better than Hillary Clinton. Whose ;-) husband (Bill Clinton) made higher education affordable for every American. And created higher job demand and starting salary's than they had ever been before or since.

You Might Be An Idiot!

If you think that Obama with no experience will be better than Hillary Clinton who spent 8 years at the right hand of  President Bill Clinton. Who is already on record as one of the greatest Presidents in American history.

You Might Be An Idiot!

If you think that you can change the way Washington works with pretty speeches from Obama, rather than with the experience, and political expertise of two master politicians ON YOUR SIDE like Hillary and Bill Clinton..

You Might Be An Idiot!

If you think all those Republicans voting for Obama in the Democratic primaries, and caucuses are doing so because they think he is a stronger Democratic candidate than Hillary Clinton. :-)

Best regards

I wonder why the phone keeps ringing and ringing and ringing in the ad - seems kind of funny that nobody answers right away!
It looks like an ADT Security ad...lol.
Excuse me? I'm no Hillary fan, but calling this ad negative against Obama is simply ridiculous. Pointing out that she is a strong leader and asking who you would rather have in a crisis is not negative. She is simply pointing our what she believes to be her strength. You folks at NBC are determined to lead the coronation of Barak Obama. You are starting to look like Faux News - a low level I don't think you wish to aspire to.
Remember Hillary is a fighter, she fought to stop her tax returns from being published. She fought to stop all the investigating of Whitewater, Travelgate, etc.(there are too many to list). Her supporters argue Bill's affairs are part of their private life, but how many of us would let our spouses or life partners cheat on us that many times and continue to stay with them. If she did not know then she was naive, and I do not believe that. It shows a serious character flaw      that later could effect our country. So much for experience I would rather have HOPE than the same old same old.
