The Clinton campaign announced it's going up with two new ads -- one in Texas, which hammers Obama for not holding hearings on the subcommittee he chairs, and another in Ohio, which says she will fight for middle-class families.

Yeah, she's not getting nasty or anything...

Of course, time will tell if nastiness still works (please NOT!).

Of course, again the nastiness can backfire.

OK, any bets on how soon Team Obama responds?
Good morning everyone.
I truly hope that Democratic voters in Texas, Ohio, Rhode Island, and Vermont have fully weighed the issues of words vs. actions, charisma vs. true quality of character, and personality vs. leadership.
These are the things that are at stake in tomorrow’s Presidential Primaries. Can we confidently say that Barrack Obama has the necessary traits to lead this country forward from this place and time, into the new century? Does he have the necessary experience to head off a recession? What jobs would he create in what sector of the business community, and will his healthcare plan provide coverage for all Americans?
Can he keep us safe?
Remember, we aren’t electing a rock star, or having a charisma contest.
This is about leadership of the American people, and who will command the largest, most expensive, most highly trained military in the world, with the largest array of nuclear weapons available to it.
Do you really want Barrack Obama in charge of that military?
These are questions that people really haven’t asked of themselves yet.
But, we need to ask ourselves these questions, and we need to be absolutely certain of our answers. Our future and the future of our children depend on it.
For my part, I don’t trust Barrack Obama. He says he wants to negotiate unconditionally with communist dictators, and terrorist thugs. These are the same people who hate the United States and her people for no tangible reason, and who oppress other human beings across the seas.
I say, if they want to be a partner with the United States its reasonable to ask them to promote democracy within their own countries, to stand down any and all attempts to upgrade any existing or potential nuclear weapons programs, and to act with diplomacy towards our other existing allies.
But Obama doesn’t want to do those things. He wants to “give away the house” by negotiating with no pre-conditions.
This is what I mean when I say that we aren’t electing a rock star or having a charisma contest.
We need a leader who is mature enough to make the tough decisions, and who won’t worry about offending those who never worry about offending us.
Hillary is that candidate. She made the tough, unpopular decision to authorize the use of force in Iraq. It’s a decision she’s paid a heavy political price for.
But nonetheless it was a decision that had to be made because hers was the constituency that was attacked on 911.
She had to act in the interests of the people she represents.
Obama never had to do that because he wasn’t in the senate when that vote was taken.
But, he repeatedly voted to continue funding the Iraq war after he got into the Senate and never once introduced any measure to either stop the war or stop funding it.
So, please folks, when you good Democrats in TEXAS, OHIO, RHODE ISLAND, and VERMONT go to the polls tomorrow, please think about your own future, your children’s future and the future of this country as a whole.
The first, best, and clearest choice to lead us forward is Hillary Clinton. Do the righteous, correct and good thing. Make her our nominee for The Presidency, and start us back onto the path that leads across the bridge, into the 21st century towards peace and prosperity for all Americans.

HILLARY FOR PRESIDENT 2008!
Leadership Counts!

It is my understanding that John Kerry is over the NATO division in direct relation to Afghanistan in that subcommittee, not Obama.  Telling half-truths does not lead to trustworthiness.
TIME TO THROW THE KITCHEN SINK AT HILLARY CLINTON. YES, IT'S TIME TO GET IT OUT .... NOW!

SHE'S TAKEN THIS TOO FAR ALREADY.

THIS EVIL WOMAN MUST NOT BECOME THE DEMOCRATIC NOMINEE!
The first ad begins with a nice big misrepresentation. The SUBcommittee Obama oversees deals with NATO in Europe - the committee that oversees operations in Afghanistan is headed by John Kerry. However, it is important to note that both of these subcommittees are part of a larger committee that has held several meetings on the war in Afghanistan because it is such an important issue.

Is this ALL she's got?? I hope people she doesn't get votes as a result of this ad. Talk about playing from Carl Rove's playbook - this one is classic Clintrovian.
Shocker, yet another Clinton ad being posted here for free air time.  You guys are getting to be more pathetic than Fox news.
THE "MIDDLE CLASS" "DEMANDS" A PRESIDENT WHO WILL STAND UP FOR "US". ENOUGH IS ENOUGH ! STAND UP FOR HILLARY AND SHE "WILL" TURN THING AROUND. THIS IS THE CANDIDATE, WHO WILL BRING "REAL" CHANGE. hillaryclinton.com, please visit today, it's never to late to change your mind.
How is she going to stand up to lobbyiest and PACS when she is TAKING MONEY from them?? Doesn't make much sense to me. Do people really believe that she is going to take their money and then once she gets into the white house she is going to get rid of all the lobbyiest and special interest groups? Its all pandering and like saps some people are falling for it. We have seen this over and over again where people pledge to do all sorts of thing but never gets it done. At least Obama will try and engage the American public. Change happens from the bottom up not from the top down. Any middle class families that really want change need to realize that.
...and if she is such a friend to workers - then ask yourself why one of her top advisers has engaged in union busting activities and why the previous Clinton administration, for which she likes to claim credit for "experience" passed NAFTA, a law that has drained jobs from the economy.
Obama does not hold even "0ne" oversight meeting on Afganastian in over a year. Give me a break, this guy does not deserve to be our President.
In the last Canadian national election the Republican administration in the US did Harper an enormous favour. They had the US ambassador to Canada threaten a huge business group at a conference in Toronto, which got widespread coverage  a few days before the election. He threatened Canada on trade,. Said if the Liberal's were returned to power it would seriously damage relations on trade with the US.

That reverberated and resulted in a Harper victory on election day for the Conservatives and Harper.

Harper is returning the favour. He knows the GOP prefers Clinton. He's paying an IOU..
HILLARY WAS TO BUSY TO VOTE ON THE FISA BILL AND THE TORTURE BILL. LET NOT FORGET WHO VOTED TO GO WAR IN IRAQ.THE PRESIDENT AND NATO DECIDE WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN IN AFHANISTAN NOT A SENATOR!
I am tired more than ever to listen her negative adds. Negative,... negative..., negative... negative,.. one million times. It could not sum up for a single truth. People judge you not only when you speak truth but also about others. A sinking boat can of course each part of the well. The problem is that the well is also sinking. Now she is also talking about Rezko. why has not she failed to release her tax cards such long?
I love Hillary's new ads.  Right on Target. This country needs a leader who is tried, true, experienced and willing to roll up HER sleeves and get to work on the very first day.  Change can be a good thing but change for the sake of change is a BAD thing. I hope the voters who still have a vote will look at Hillary and give her their votes.  Not be caught up the "Obamafrenzy".  I saw the video yesterday of Obama screaming at an elderly woman in Iowa.  Howard Dean screamed in glee in a meeting of his supporters and that was a bad thing (not in my eyes) but Obama screaming at the lady in Iowa was the true Obama showing himself.  Shame on him.
BO stinks! Obama = Rezco..and don't think the repubs arent digging this up as we speak..and there is probably alot more on the Obamas that we don't even know yet. Why? Because WE DON'T KNOW THIS GUY!!Very foolish!!
Does she think that we will vote for her in November if she wins with her "Smear and Fear" campaign ?

Look at her campaign ... wasted money, blown reputation, disputes and internal fights - and to the outside a strategy of fear, scaring up vote, negative campaigning.

That's how Billary would run this country - but I would never vote for her. Our family would vote and support a Republican for the first time ever.

Her faked "35 years of experience" is a joke, a bluff the media does not dare to discuss (but the republicans would call the bluff easily)

OBAMA'08 or DEFEAT'08
What her ad should say if there were any truth in advertising is:
"I will reach into your shrinking paycheck and rip out as much money as WE see fit, to pay for our social healthcare experiment. Oh yea, and we will come for more to pay for the war we authorized on credit..."
Please review the following...

http://foreign.senate.gov/subcommittee.html

Yes, Senator Obama chairs the Subcomittee on European Affairs.

Last I checked, Afghanistan was not in Europe.

Senator Kerry chairs the Subcomittee on Near Eastern and South and Central Asian Affairs.

Now, maybe I'm wrong, but the last time I looked at a map, you'll find Afghanistan in Asia.

Why didn't Obama hold substantive hearings on Afghanistan?

Maybe because that's Kerry's job?
Great ads Hillary!  You're a fighter and you have the intelligence, vision, depth, experience, and compassion to be CIC.  We need another Clinton to clean up after the Bush mess ... it's too risky to take a chance on a newcomer who preaches a sermon of hope and change but offers little substance to go with it.
Just saw these ads pushed and discussed on MSNBC.

Obama is also running ads, why not show them also????
Interesting how Hillary's TV ads are news here. She does not need to raise as much money because she gets free advertising from MSNBC. So much for the anti woman bias she claims.
I SAW THE ADS AND THEY WERE IN GOOD TASTE AS USUAL.
I HAVE A QUESTION FOR ALL TO PONDER, OR MAYBE SOMEONE HAS THE ANSWER.
WHO IS OBAMA'S MOLE?  SOMEONE HAD INSIDE INFORMATION IN ORDER TO HIT BACK AT THE RED PHONE AD WITHIN A FEW HOURS.  THE RED PHONE AD WAS GOOD ALSO, INSPITE OF SOME OF THE MEDIA SAYING IT WAS FEAR MONGERING.
A LITTLE FEAR IS A GOOD INOCULATION. SOMETHING WE HAVEN'T SPENT MUCH TIME ON IN THIS ELECTION PERIOD.  THERE STILL ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE WHO WANT TO DO US IN.
HILLARY'S AD COULD HAVE SAID SOMETHING ABOUT OBAMA'S CARELESSNES WHEN HE HIT THE WRONG BUTTON 5 OR 6 TIMES BY MISTAKE. WHY HASN'T THAT BEENBROUGHT UP MORE.  NOT MUCH SAID ABOUT OBAMAS MISTAKES SINCE RUSSERT DECIDED TO KNOCK HER DOWN IN THE FIRST DEBATE HE MONITERED.
KEEP ON TELLING THE TRUTH HILLARY!!!

Obama better set a hearing date immediately!
. Barack Obama has more foreign policy experience than Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton had before they took office.

Wolf was without a comeback question.

But, there is an even larger question, not about Barack Obama's experience but Hillary's suggestion just by airing this ad is that she has had to answer the red phone in a real foreign policy crisis moment.

How could she? She never even had a national security clearance. Hence, not only could she not have been involved in national security discussions, she could not even have been in the room when they were being considered.

Why was it that Hillary Clinton did not have a national security clearance for the entire time she was in the White House? And, why do the media not ask Senator Clinton about that?

Why oh why is MSNBC giving so much free air time to Hillary's ads? I watch a lot of political shows and probably had to fast forward through that "3 am" ad 10 times just this weekend...and she hadn't paid for any of that airtime!!!
Watching the Clinton campaign implode, and the news media (and Saturday Night Live) trying to revive them, is really getting kind of sad . . .
MSNBC must be on the Clintons payrole. They keep giving free Ad space for them. Fair is fair how about some Obama Ads.
How is releasing Clinton's Ads on the internet each day newsworthy or anything other than pandering to her campaign and giving it free advertising without haveing to pay for airtime for these ads.

The "news" channels have given her more free airtime over the moronic 3 A.M. ad than she could ever have paid for herself.

God, I will be glad when Wednesday shines it light on the end.  I'll bet it will be the weekend or longer before she concedes, or even congratulates presumptive nominee Obama on his wins.
Attack ads again and again. I had it with the Clintons.
Hillary Clinton, the world's greatest SPIN MACHINE is at it again!  But sorry, Hillary, we saw this one coming!  You always save the best (read nastiest, most misleading and offensive) for the day before a big upcoming election.  How did that work for you in Wisconsin?

Thank God (literally) for Keith Olbermann!  As he explained (since nobody else seems to want to set the record straight)...

"The truth is, Obama‘s Foreign Relations Subcommittee deals with the U.S. relations with NATO, a different Foreign Relations Subcommittee chaired by John Kerry has jurisdiction over Afghanistan.  And the full Foreign Relations Committee was the one that held several hearings on the military efforts there.  The former chairman of that committee, Republican Dick Lugar, already on record saying, he wanted Obama on the committee after hearing him discuss nuclear proliferation."

So not only is Hillary Clinton spinning AGAIN, but now we learn that even certain Republicans believe that Obama knows what he is talking about, and as Sen. Rockefeller recently asserted, Barack Obama can more than hold his own on this issue of National Defense!

She has to do this, and Senator Obama needs to get a clear answer to this out PRONTO-because this will hurt him.
Don't stop swingign girl!!!!

Hillary Clinton 2008

The most lies get told: 1) before the wedding 2) after the hunt (fishing trip) 3) during the election.
We ARE in the heart of the "silly season". Its "grain of salt" / try to keep some common sense time. This old country guitar picker chooses to support Barack Obama. He makes sense to me, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but what will be the net effect of all this dissonance between Dems now?
Remember Hillary's White House Psychic during Bill's presidency? Is this who Hillary will rely on to answer the call?  The INTELLIGENCE committee and Jay Rockefeller endorsed Senator Obama. He is more qualified
than Hillary to make that judgement.
HRC will have to ask her Bill to stop "swinging" if he gets anywhere near the oval office again.
She supports and encourages all his immoral behavior.
Hillbillary is unwanted for the future.
I think that after days of denial, the Obama campaign was confronted with a memo of a meeting - it was my understanding - in which there was a discussion of NAFTA. And it raises questions about Senator Obama coming to Ohio and giving speeches about NAFTA and having his chief economic advisor tell the Canadian government that it was just political rhetoric.
I don’t think people should come to Ohio and tell the people of Ohio one thing and then have your campaign tell a foreign government something else behind closed doors. That’s the kind of difference between talk and action and that I’ve been pointing out in this campaign. I think the questions should be directed at Senator Obama.
who knows the truth Obama, sigh
I would be interested to know how many committee meetings Senator clinton has missed on the road to the Dem's nomination. Also, how many of those military Flag officers, that endorsed Hillary, were promoted by president Bill Clinton or worked in his administration? Keep throwing the dirt Hillary, some will get on you soon!
do not brag about you will not vote for Hillary if she gets the nomination---there are also many that will not vote for Obama.I My family and friends are prepared to write in Clintons name---Obama certainly arrogant when he claimed Hillarys voters will support him.
She has been too busy campaigning to go and VOTE in the senate!  Guess that's ok though...b/c the MEDIA is not FAIR to her!
RELEASE YOUR TAX REUTRNS HILLARY!!  Got nothing to hide?  Then RELEASE THEM!  OBAMA wasn't TOO BUSY to RELEASE HIS!
The MEDIA has given her a PASS on THIS!  YOu don't hear Obama complaining about MEDIA BIAS!  The VOTERS want to see your tax returns, WHY WON'T she RELASE THEM???????????????????????
TURNIP,  YOU MUST HAVE FALLEN OFF THAT  TRUCK YESTERDAY. HILLARY HASN'T HAD ANY FREEBES. THAT'S FOR SURE.  I WONDER JUST WHO IS REALLY BEHIND ALL THE BIG MONEY BACKING OBAMAS CAMPAIGN. I SMELL SOMETHING A LITTLE FISHY.
Afghanistan is in ASIA, Hillary - not Europe.

Send me your address and I will send you a map.

Is MSNBC doing penance because the Clintons thought certain newcasters' remarks were biased? For the past few weeks, the only news reported is Clinton does this; Clinton does that. IF anything is written about Obama, it's negative and it's a subtitle to whatever Clinton is doing at the moment.  What happened to balanced journalism?
Hillary is a fine senator; she could even be majority leader someday. Barack, however, the only candidate equipped to be president at this moment in our history.  He has the intellect, the judgement, the wisdom.  Like JFK, he inspires.  He is of a generation that is part of the new century.  And he is open: he does not stoop to innuendos and tricks to discredit his opponent.
Yes Hillary is the most experienced candidate. As a corporate lawyer for many years it was Hillary's job to subdue workers claims against the corporate businesses she represented. As a Governors wife for many years Hillary courted corporate lobbiest and set up sweet land deals for the Clintons and McDougals. As the Presidents wife for eight years Hillary used her vast experience to conceal damning documents and evidence of the Clintons past from prosecutors while collecting FBI files on enemys of the Clintons.       If that is the kind of experience and leadership America needs at this critical time why not just leave George Bush in office?
Ha, "She's gonna bring jobs here to Ohio".

Got news for you, she promised the same thing to New York 7 years ago. We are still waiting for the jobs.
Hillary getting so negative is a very risky strategy. Why? because she is risking alienating young voters that Obama attracts.

We need the 18-40 crowd to come out in force if we have any chance of taking the white house this November. If they see a bunch of negative and petty swiped (such as this latest ad) - they are going to think why bother to support a candidate who slandered not even truthfully?

This will kill us in November because the over 60 crowd - a Clinton strength in Dem nomination - will likely be weakness against McCain.  And she is likely alienate enough young voters that she will not be able to make that up.

Before, I would have been happy with either candidate becoming the Democratic nomination.  However, after seeing what Hillary is doing to the party - I pledge my full support to Obama and seriously considering voting McCain over Clinton in general election.

The petty bickering of negative ads has gone too far and being 37 years old, I seen enough of this slander based campaigns that usually candidates who resort to these tactics often make bad presidents..
At least Obama will try and engage the American public. Change happens from the bottom up not from the top down. Any middle class families that really want change need to realize that.

BOY have you been brainwashed.  You think for one second the American middle class, working 2-3 jobs 10-12 hour days have time to run the country.  You have fallen for a bunch of crap that will never happen.  As you can see we can not agree, we are looking through rose colored glasses at the guy who says..IT will be change and hope and he will lead you there. Now how many GD politicians have told you that before.  ARE YOU TO TIRED TO REALLY LISTEN?
will Obama release his 2005 and 2006 earmarks reports?Resko is starting his trial today is why it is so much in news. We dont know yet if Obama will be called or named so dont be so arrogant
So, if he's elected, two years into it he will start campaigning for re-election. So, if he was too busy campaigning this election, who's going to run the country when he's out campaigning again?  If he knew he was going to run, why did he accept that responsibility? For those of you questioning the ad, listen to Obama's response. "It is true we didn't".  If he wasn't responsible for it, why did he admit to not holding meetings and being too busy?  Put your koolaid down and LISTEN.
