A long seven weeks...

Could the burst of negative campaigning in the last three days before yesterday's primaries have made a difference to voters in Ohio or Texas?

David Axelrod, Obama's chief media strategist, thronged by reporters minutes before Obama took the stage, dodged that question.

But he also left the door open to the idea that should the Clinton campaign continue to hit Obama there would be a tit for tat.

"We have not hesitated to draw distinctions between the candidates," he said, "and we'll continue to do that. If Sen. Clinton wants to take the debate to various places, we'll join that debate. We'll do it on our terms and in our own way, but if she wants to make issues like ethics and disclosure and lawfirms and real estate deals and all that stuff issues, as I've said before I don't know why they'd want to go there, but I guess that's where they'll take the race."

But is Obama willing to go there?

"We're willing to draw distinctions that are honest and legitimate," Axelrod said before raising the issue of Clinton's tax returns and the records from the Clinton library.

It's going to be a long seven weeks to Pennsylvania….

how can hillary hold her head up with pride about her wins when they were won by using the worst kind of smear campaign? if she can only win by making the other person look bad, or hoping they make a mistake, or by bullying the press, it is really pathetic. the american people deserve something more from their president. barack obama is the one who has energized the party and brought new people into the process. he offers the best there is for the future of this country.
Obama is nothing more than a motivational speaker. You can find a good one from any reputable speaker's bureau.

Obama is a motivational speaker, not a leader of presidential caliber.
I read yesterday that Hillary has asked for a court ruling to allow her phone records from the time she was First Lady to be kept secret for 2 years, although she will release her schedule.   Why? What secrets lie in those phone records that would hurt her?  Evidently something, and something pretty devastating to call attention to it by going to court to hide phone calls made 20-odd years ago.  Axelrod is right.  I'm not religious, but I recall one or two lessons from Sunday School: "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone" would have been a wise scripture for Hillary to learn.  If she continues to attack Obama as she has, she will find the stones bouncing back at her have a lot more impact on her paper-thin glass house.
Let's all calm down about our respective candidates.  We are fortunate to have two good candidates.  The reason I can't support Senator Clinton is that I don't think the Presidency should be held by two families for this many years, and I think her judgment in office has been more about her own aspirations then about what's good for America.

Having said that: she is still better than another Republican, especially McCain.  I will support either candidate, I hope the rest of you that want better Supreme Court appointments will join me.

I do think that Senator Obama brings more independents to the election, which is what is necessary to win.
This is spot on from Axelrod.  I would get privately with Hillary's folks and say, look, if I hear one more thing about Rezko, Muslim, cocaine or anything untoward, we will unleash all the baggage from the past, Bimbo alerts, Monica, Whitewater, Travel Gate, Vince Foster, no disclousure of tax returns,...just to put them on warning...this is exactly what Axelrod has done and I applaud him for that.

Obama has, to date, IMO, run an up-and-up campaign, but if it continues into the gutter, the Marquis of Queensbury-type fighting will need to be scuttled for a bare-knuckles, pier street brawl.
The media took hold to Hillary's spin in the last days leading to the election.

Hillary made this election take a new turn with her tactics. She has taken this country back several hundred years, and finally split the country into black versus white. She has let the world know that she does not like muslims and fueled the flames with her pictures and comments about Obama.

This is truly hurtful and deceptive. She is hell bent on getting to the White House by any means. She has went against her own democratic party by suggesting that she or MCcain would be better suited to run the White House, instead of her own party affiliation with Obama.

Great job to the media, now lets get those White House papers she wants sealed until after the election, tax papers, The New York votes that were not counted and her picture in the White House with Rezko.

I guess she can stop crying and embarrasing us women with her psychological win, that the media helped put together.

Obama "08"
There is a distinct danger in politics when anyone in your entourage states your main policy statements are just "politics". I am an Ohio voter who was leaning to Obama but his hypocracy over NAFTA left me cold. I was aware he had earlier given two speeches supporting it. Its obvious Hillary has significant differences with Bill on this issue and I trust her independence and candor. Experience, strong economic ties (Rubin) and candor, make the election no longer a choice.TLC
If Clinton was polling 10-15 pts higher than Obama in Texas and Ohio all along -- why say now that "negative campaigining" is making a difference?

Why not report the fact that Obama's positive campaigning has resulted in the largest voter turnout in remembered dem. primary history and that it is Obama's newness, not Clinton's Rove-like and "xeroxed" playbook that is driving voter efficacy?

Mainstream journalism is presently in a "dark age" despite the proliferation of technology.

You are supposed to be grown-up professionals; you conduct yourselves like hyperactive children.
Obama has to hit her back - he has shown that he is willing to play fair, but if she does not like that, then he has to put her dirty cloth on the table.

The Billary supporters have already forgotten everything and the press corps and media is eating out of her hand - so, it's time to join her hardball game.

That's worth another contribution for the Obama movement!

OBAMA'08
Hillary just needs to keep making her case.  The electability argument has changed a bit now.  Clinton can win OH in the fall, Obama cannot.  NJ and MI are in play for McCain if Obama wins.  This will make it eaiser for people to vote on the issues, where Hillary has an advantage.

BTW, those of you who are into delegate math need to look at the fact that Obama can't win enough pledged delegates to win the nomination either.  The super delegates will play a role.  Watch the popular vote.  Hillary got a lot closer in that regard.  In addition, there are going to be squeemish about punishing FL and MI for what the party bosses did in MI and the GOP did in FL.
Fox asks student's, Ohio, if the Media has been fair th Clinton.99% said no?
Tom Delay was there and was asked he same question. He said absoutely, not, that she has been treated terrible?
Well I hope the Media, keep's it up because without your terrible coverage she can't keep winning. Keep up the good work and she will keep up the good winning.
I really don't understand all the hype.  Women are simply lying to themselves about this race being sexist.  Ohio was never going to be a win for Obama, low class whites tend to be more racist than any other group.  However, the numbers simply don't lie.  Obama has the numbers and no matter what Hillary does she cannot overturn that advantage.  If any male candidate was in hillary's shoes, he would be forced from the race regardless of color.  The only reason she is still in the race is because she's a woman and to the detriment of the Democratic party as such.  Does any logical person think california, N.Y. or even the latino's in texas will vote against their own best interest in November and vote for McCain.  A man who is moving further and further to the left.  As hillary would say, "Get Real.  Does any hillary reporter really believe that her "Fighting for them" will make a difference against an entrenched congress where no Republican will want to be seen working with her.  This election is not about experience, it's about leadership, about being able to reach out and extend a warm hand to the other half of america no matter what party they belong to and bringing them together for a common purpose.  I have not heard one Hillary supporter state how Hillary will get this done.  Its just not gonna happen and even if by some chance she does win, it will destroy the Democratic Party.  I live in Maryland and I can tell you without a doubt that she will lose the black vote and the white male vote will simply go to John McCain.
This has convinced me more than every, I am a Democrat, but in the General Election if Hillary Clinton wins the nomination I will not vote.  Hillary at this point does not deserve my vote.  She will not bring the party together.  I noticed in her speech last night she congratulated Senator Obama for a hard fought race.  However, she did not have enough respect for him to congratulate him in her speeches following her losses.  I supported her as a New York Democrat for her Senator race but I see a different side of her that I will not cast my vote for.
Long, and expensive, seven weeks. Six months for that matter. Dems are going to be tapped out soon on the money front.
Well I guess MSNBC and their guests couldn't sway the voters to vote for Barack Obama. I now watch Fox News to get umnbiased coverage concerning this primary. You have been very negative as far as your coverage of Hillary is concerned. The voters have spoken in spite of your coverage.
I live in Greene County, Ohio.  Today, I am ashamed of my state.  After all the scandals and questionable politics, of both the Clinton White House years, and this campaign, my home state backed her.  How sad.  How pathetic.
It truly was a remarkable evening for American politics. HRC pulled off one of the greatest con jobs in the history of politics. Thank you Ohio for becoming co-conspirators in this farce. Thank you Ohio for igniting the powder keg of fear, division, and hate. HRC is a power hungry, self serving candidate and if elected, I will make it my business to let the entire planet know what a cesspool of racist and hatemongers you really are.
I find it very interesting (and as the Obama supporters always like to say, LAUGHABLE), that Obama ALWAYS outspends Hillary 4 to 1 and 5 to 1 in EVERY contest and yet he still hasn’t clinched the nomination.

If he is spending 4 and 5 dollars for every dollar that she is spending getting his message out, he should be doing 4 to 5 times better in EVERY one of these contest.

Not to mention all of his supporters keep claiming and insisting that he manages money so much better than she ever could.

If Obama manages money the way he has spent money getting his message out, he doesn’t manage money very well at all.

In basic financial terms, who has gotten the best return on their investment?  Not Obama that’s for sure.

If Obama has spent 4 and 5 dollars for every 1 dollar that Hillary has spent and he still loses, that’s not a very good return on his investment.  Moreover, he’s wasted the money that all of his supporters have donated by not being able to close the deal.

And for all this talk about his momentum and winning 11 states in a row, and out spending her 4 and 5 to 1, he should have BLOWN HER AWAY LAST NIGHT AND HE DIDN’T.

Why, because he can’t?

He can’t win the BIG battleground states that you have to be able to win in the general election to defeat the Republicans.

He can’t deliver what he promises and he can’t close the deal.  If he could, he would have done it already.

Obama’s supporters wanted the nomination just handed to Obama on a silver platter because they like him so much, well guess what DUMBAMA supporters, it’s not gonna happen.

So I guess that you will just have to get over it, and get over yourselves and your give me, give me attitude.

P.S.  Just like the Obama supporters once again to play the RACE card with all the pathetic David Duke comments.

When Obama supporters don’t get their way, they come unglued and start whining and crying and get all nasty and ugly and hateful.

The best thing I heard on the radio yesterday was a replay of a speech made by Bill Clinton during the 1994 presidential campaign. In it, the former President talked about on of the "Clinton Rules" of who to vote for. If a candidate tries to scare you, don't vote for them. On the other hand, if a candidate asks you to think for yourself and offers hope, you should support them.

It sounds to me like the former President should be support Senator Obama instead of his wife.
What really happened Tuesday night, is that Obama's delegate lead shrunk from 150+ to around 130.  It wasn't the landslide shift that Clinton needed to begin to catch up to Obama.  Only 2 states left have over 100 delegates, Pennsylvania and North Carolina.  Clinton leads in PA by single digits, while Obama leads in NC by double digits.  The way things will play out over the next 3 months, Obama will end up with a 140+ delegate lead in June, and Clinton will have to vitually destroy the party to get the nomination.  At this point, I don't see what justification the Clinton campaign has to challenge Obama's nomination.  But she cares more about herself than winning in the general election, so she will continue her very negative campaign and 'snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.'
I'm not a big fan of Obama, but it sure is nice to see Axelrod finally get his face pushed into it. He's been fairly cocky the last few weeks, but now all his momentum is gone with the three defeats last night. This theme of 'Change' now comes to an end, and finally Obama will have to talk to Hillary on the issues.

Oh, and now we'll get MORE debates!
Could Hillary's negative attacks have made a difference?

hmmm . . . do ya think???

Seriously . . . that's a silly question

I am a lifelong independent, and I have never truly cast a vote for anyone that I REALLY wanted to vote for . . . until super Tuesday, when I voted for Obama.

Bottom line is that what he says about how broken the political system is echos everything that I have ever hated in American politics. Although I have wondered how he would be able to fight the establishment with so much money, lobbyists, corporate influence, and compromised politicians.  I'm less optimistic now than I was on Super Tuesday. I love what Obama stands for, but I don't see how he can fight against the combined power of the establishment.

Jeesh . . . the Clinton camp and Rush Limbaugh are now united in urging Republicans to vote for Hillary to help stop Obama??? Now I've heard of everything!!! They're going to find a way to drag this honorable man down and I just don't know that there is anything we normal people can do to stop it.

The fact of the matter is that I NEVER was going to vote for Hillary. She and Bill represent everything that I have always hated in American politcs. And her systematic dirty politcs in dragging down Obama only make me loathe her more. Seriously . . . she is attacking him over questionable real estate deals??? *cough*Whitewater*cough*  simply unbelievable!

So I'll vote for Obama if he can find a way to fight through, but if Clinton steals the nomination, my vote will go to McCain . . . I disagree with him on the war, but at least he is a renegade, centrist republican who the right-wing hates
I DONT THINK THAT MR OBAMA IS GOING TO WIN...AS I SEE IT HE HIS ANTI-AMERICAN..HIS MUSLIN PRICIPALS WILL CRIPPLE HIM FROM DOING THE PRESIDENTS JOB...
KIND OF SURPRISE THAT SO MANY CITIZENS HAS PICK UP HIM FOR THE PRECIDENCY OF THE US WHEN HI WILL NOT WEAR THE AMERICAN FLAG PIN ON THE LAPEL AND WILL NOT PLACES HIS HAND OVER HIS HART WHEN THA NATIONAL A...IS PLAYED.
TO ME THAT IS A SLAP ON THE FACE!!!
Democrats are killing themselves. No wonder McCain and GW have those huge smiles on their face.  This should be a general election that the Democrats could slam dunk...so much for that.  I can't beleive McCain is going to be our next president!  Obama can't win the big states, Clinton will not win the delegates or popular vote.  The only choice left is to have an Obama/Clinton ticket...and the only reason I suggest Obama/Clinton vs. Clinton/Obama is because there will be mass protest if Obama wins the delegate and popular vote math yet the super delegates take the nomination from him.  I don't want to be around for that.
HRC spewed hatred, despair and fear, and in true Ohioan fashion they responded. We now truly know what Ohioans are. It's a shame that given the opportunity to select between fear and hope they chose fear. Ohio trust me, you haven't seen anything yet. HRC will definitely show you what her true colors are in short order. I have a new found dislike for ignorance. Life is tough Ohio and it's tougher when you are stupid.
Obama outspent Clinton 2 to 1 in Ohio - and Hillary WON.

Obama outspent Clinton 2 to 1 in Texas - and Hillary WON.

She won by knowing more and working harder.  Obama, we were led to beleive by the media, walks on water.

Well, he's drowning now!

What a great night it was for Hillary and her supporters - and, as she said, we are just getting started!
I cannot believe that HRC's campaigne continues to go into "ugly" politics...sooner or later Obama will start raising questions of ethics and transparency, full disclosure and past history of very questionable practices...
To paraphrase Howard Fineman... Obama wants to win on his own terms, in a fair and positive fight (which apparently means, attacking only when attacked). But Hillary "just wants to win, and is willing to be nasty to do it."

It's up to the Democratic party elders to settle this. Delegate math makes it obvious Hillary has zero chance of eliminating Obama's lead in pledged delegates.

Reaction from our writers: http://www.nationalscold.com/2008/03/reaction.html
The Hillary campaigne can make Bill go away for a while...which seems to be helping her campaigne.  What happens if she is in the White House..how will they make him go away then...no more Billary politics..
Well, the Dumbmama camp's negtive cmapigning didn't seem to work.

Tellin the truth isn't being negative.

Michelle are you still proud?
I don't know where else to write this, so I'm putting it here.  I'm a fan of MSNBC, so I was HUGELY disappointed this morning, Mr. Todd, to see a map on your channel claiming that Hillary Clinton "won" MI and FL.  Allowing her to make such claims and then reinforcing them with your graphics calls into question your ability to distinguish fact from fiction.
now it will go to denver, hillary will steal the nomination, and loose the general election, end of story, what a waste
The Obama campaign has run this campaign with class and dignity. It's a shame when merica votes out of fear and nasty rheteric. They are the same ones who voted for Bush twice(Bush carried this state in the general election.) There is no harder thing then losing your employment....but look at who or what is the problem. Bill Clinton carried Ohio and he introduced NAFTA...and look what happened. Now the Ohioans have voted for someone who used dirty tactics...to scare up votes...who all the while claimed at one time that NAFTA was good..but now implies to nasty tactics that Obama was talking out the both sides of his mouth. The Canadian Goverment  even said that this was not the case. Wake up people...no matter what you can not rely on goverment to somehow waive a magic wand and have a good job fall out of the sky for you. Clinton knows this, but she campaigned to the ignorant to get votes for her own personal ambition. I have concluded that Washington needs a change in culture and mindset...and if Hillary wins..this African American will vote for McCain. At least I feel he is genuine...he wants the job because he does feel he can make a difference. Hillary wants the job..because simply she only wants to be President. To be honest I have a great job..and I found it under the Bush Administration..because I not the goverment but I found tools to better prepare me for the future. I supported Obama because he reminds me of another President who did inspire Americans to do the same thing...John F. Kennedy. Until the American public realizes that the catalyst of success begins with THEMSELVES..then we will always be going around the Mulberry Bush of saying" Gov't please do something so I won't stuck in the situation I'm in" I know I have been there. I think the young voters like myself...identify to that...so you can't say we don't know any better....YOU RAISED US. So blame yourselves for raising us that way. I have had a real awakening over the last few days...and I for one will do what I can to add my purpose for change for this country I love. By voting for John McCain if he faces Hillary..not to spite her...or the party. I will vote for him because I a proud African American has identified that Goverment role is to protect, enforce the constitution. Not to hold my hand...something Hillary promises to do. I hope this get printed on this blog and not censored! Obama keep up the fight, but continue to do it honorably. Don't stoop the level of stink for the highest honor of the land...if Hillary wins it..she will carry mud with her when she sits in the chair!and stains take a long time to wash out.
well i think they should have a real debate  just them no reporters runing it one on one and both should say in plan english what there plans for the economy is and what they are going to do about it and also there health plans in detail what it is and how it will work and the war also of course  i think that would give everyone a chance to decide for themselfs who would be right for the job a little  late for that but better late than never i do not want another 4 or 8 years of bush and macaine we cant aford that and they should leave there sink throwing and there pretty speaches at home
As a devout independent, I can't say that I really have a dog in this fight.  I have, however, wondered, how scrutiny of some of the Clintons' past dealings has failed to show up in the discourse of the Democratic primaries.  Certainly, the Republicans will not pass on the opportunity to bring up with much vigor the Whitewater deal, Travelgate, Filegate, and any number of odd dealings.  I'm sure they will also point out that several of the Clintons' associates have spent some time as wards of the state.  Mr. Axelrod's comments lead me to believe that, despite Mr. Obama's remarkable restraint of late in leaving such attacks to the Republicans this fall, the Democratic contest may go nuclear.  Perhaps the hardcore supporters and the party wisepersons should consider this before they really tear the party in half instead of merely threaten to do so.  Like I said, it doesn't matter much to me; although, I would like to have a viable candidate to consider in the fall now that the other guys have settled on the status quo.  Perhaps the unsolicited musings of a relatively disinterested party may be of value to someone in this highly partisan intra-party debate.  Good night, and good luck.
What happened to the politics of hope?  In a fairytail world, maybe all candidates will be perfect gentlemen and ladies, but this is American politics.  Welcome to just a sliver of it.  If Obama starts slinging mud, we will all see he's just another politician like the rest of them.  By the way, what are they going to bring up about Hillary that the press and the people don't already know?   Hillary supporters live in the real world Obama supporters do not.  Obama has one bad news week and he's crying.  Hillary has had the media all over her for every little thing she has done since 1992.  I say if you want to sling the mud Axlerod, bring it!
I think it's going to be very interesting to see what the DNC decides to do about the states of Florida and Michigan.  If a decision is made to have a "do over" with another round of primaries in April or May I'll be very interested to hear what the Obama campaign has to say about that.  I would hope that the campaign would be fine with it as long as they have time to campaign and build their case.  But, if they're not, then I'd say it's a clear case of them not wanting to do battle in a big state where they perform poorly.
PENNSYLVANIA IS HILLARY COUNTRY--all the way!!!!

=================================

Midway through the campaigning, I was happy to have either Clinton or Obama to vote for. I agree with Democrat social policies more than the prevailing conservative social policies.

Then Clinton got desperate. She began flailing around trying to gain a foothold. She found something that gave her some traction - negative/fear-based campaigning!

Well, let me tell you something. Obama has changed this campaign in such a way, that I will not vote for a negative/fear-based campaigner.

While I was securely in the Dem column 3 weeks ago, now my vote will by in play, if Obama doesn't get the nomination. It may be that any campaign between Clinton & McCain would still highlight that my vote still is best given to a Dem. BUT...I have to raise the question, if someone such as myself (based on demo data) can become undecided this late in the game because of campaign tactics, how many others...

Obama MUST now Bomb her. No more Mr Nice guy. This has gone on long enough
Couldn't agree more.  I can't imagine that Hillary and Bill really want to see ALL of their "experience" on the front pages of the nations newspapers for the next 7 weeks.  But if that's the case, so be it.

Seems the Clintons want a fight more than they want a new America.  Fine.  Let's give them a fight they won't soon forget.  Put all of her crap out on the table for the people to see. ALL OF IT!  Let's remind the citizens of this nation of the sordid past that the Clintons will bring to this new effort.
Yeah - just great! Dirty tricks won the day! Hillary must be proud! She got the media to fall in line with her plan. Don't people understand that's how they'll run the country too? Back to squabbling, division and wasted opportunities if they prevail.
Hillary Cinton 2008!!!

Many states and delegates yet to be decided.  Obama should accept the second spot on the ticket if he has any desire of some day becoming president!

The Rezko  Train is just now pulling into the station.

People will not forget the deceit by Obama on Nafta discussions with Canada.

Perhaps Chris and Keith will tone it down for a while but probably not!

Hillary Clinton 2008!  Look out John McCain.
Hillary can do no wrong in the eyes of her supporters. Her husband created the NAFTA deal but, Barack get's backlash because of a ghost memo. The people in Ohio continue to make bad judgements especially during presidential selection, and they wonder why they're leading the nation in foreclosures and job losses.

Dirty politics will get you a win in Ohio but, honesty, integrity, and the call for change goes unanswered.

Thank you for thinking about me and my children when you cast your vote for more of the same.
I would like to extend to Hillary Clinton a heartfelt congratulations on three wins from Junior Super Tuesday.  They were hard fought wins and she deserves credit.  But now the reality must settle in.  Hillary Clinton will still be behind by some 150 pledged delegates.  How does she possibly close the gap?  Up next are Wyoming and Mississippi.  Clinton seems to have already conceded Wyoming so that state will go to Obama by at least a 60 - 40 margin.  Next Tuesday will be Mississippi where there is a large contingent of african-american voters so Obama will probably win there as well.  That will give him 14 victories out of the last 17 contests.  Then there will be 6 weeks before Pennsylvania.  Momentum generally only lasts about a week and then dies off (which is especially true for Clinton since she'll lose the next two conttests).  Clinton will probably win Pennsylvania but it won't be by a 60 - 40 split (it will be more like a 54 - 46 split which will net her negligable delegates).  After that there are only 9 more contests and Obama should win 5 of them (OR, MT, SD, IN, and NC).  How does Clinton close the delegate lead without winning all twelve of the remaining contests?  Even if MI and FL were seated as is, the delegates would be split and Clinton would not make a large dent in Obama's lead.  That means that Clinton's only option to winning would be the Superdelegates which are split.

That of course brings us to her argument (and I have to concede that it is somewhat persuasive) that she has "won the big states that have to be won in November".  The problem with that argument is that it is predicated on believing that Obama cannot win Clinton supporters in those states.  A recent survey suggests that 25% of Clinton supporters would not vote for Obama if he is the nominee (the door swings both ways on this because at least 25% of Obama supporters won't support Clinton if she is the nominee).  Even if this is true that means that 75% of Clinton supporters will support Obama in November which will be enough to carry states like NY, CA, NJ, MA, MO, and OH.  Democratic turnout is so much higher than Republicans and that knocks down Clinton's "I can win the big states" argument.  Therefore superdelegates probably won't be swayed by that argument.

Therefore the only way Clinton can win the nomination is for her to do so on the convention floor in a way that will look like she STOLE the nomination.  You can try to deny it all you want but if she wins the nomination this way two things will happen.  African-american (who are absolutely essential for a demcratic win in swing states) will either not vote or vote for McCain because they will view Clinton as stealing the nomination from Obama.  Also, young voters that Obama has motivated to get involved will realize that there is no point in participating because it essentially didn't matter and they will not participate.  That will drive down turnout in November and McCain will win.

Clinton deserves congratulations for winning the battles last night but she succeeded in losing the war last night.
Senator Obama is the real deal. His ability to face adversity with the same grace and vison that he has when celebrating a victory is one of the reasons I know that he is the man to lead America into the future.

Senator Obama has proven that a positive campaign can be successful, just as his positve vision for America will be.

While I congratulate Senator Clinton and her supporters on their victories tonight (something they never do when the shoe is on the other foot), I am comforted by the fact that I support a candidate who can take the good with the bad, can say he's sorry when he makes a mistake, and still stay focused on what is really important - laying the groundwork to make REAL CHANGE in the way America is governed, not just changing the drapes in the Oval Office and the name on the office door.

That is why last night's results reaffirmed my belief that I am supporting the right candidate.

A candidate who wants to lead Americans in all 50 states, not just the ones he wins.

A candidate who draws distinctions based on substantive matters like healthcare, Social Security, and immigration, not rumors, innuendo, and lies.

I believe now more than ever that America needs Barack Obama. No matter what the polls or pundits say, Senator Barrack Obama has had the same message from "Day 1" of his campaign that he has today - it's time to turn the page on old divisions and join together to tackle some of our biggest problems.

We have come too far to turn back now  . . .

Obama '08
I'll start by stating that I am an Obama supporter. The Obama campaign is now learning that speaking eloquently and inspirationally, even when drawing distinctions and debating, isn't going to get enough attention. As much as I hate to say it, you have to hit people with the proverbial "ball bat" just to get their attention and then use (again, unfortunately) not more than 1 to 2 syllable words to make your point. In addition, (and it really pains me to say this) but in Ohio, even in the 21st century, there are still a lot of whites that will not vote for a black candidate.
Obama's supporters are so in love with themselves that if Obama doesn't get the nomination or win the general election, they are all gonna cry fowl.

Obama's supporters will insist that someone stole something, or that race had everything to do with it.

Give me a break.

There are people (plenty of people) that don't like Obama despite what his supporters think and they don't think that he is qualified to be the next President of the United States.

Stop whining and crying about stealing elections and race, it's really pathetic.

By the way, the only candidate so far (Democrat or Republican) that has gone LEGAL, is Obama with his lawsuit stunt last night in Ohio.

Everyone knew the weather was going to be bad all day in Ohio and yet Obama waited until the numbers started being reported in Ohio with him 18 points behind Clinton and he filled a lawsuit to reopen and keep open 15 polls in Cuyahoga County.  One of the larger African American populated counties and one of the counties that Obama was expected to win big.

The lawsuit claimed that there was a shortage of ballots, but the Obama camp said it was also due to the weather.

The bottom line is Obama was the first and only candidate thus far to file a lawsuit and it still didn't help him win.

And Obama and his supporters claim that he it the “Change” candidate and he doesn’t do things the way the establishment does.

Really?

Change my a**.
It never ceases to amaze me that American voters respond to scare tactics; particularly after the failed Bush administration.

I agree with DaDane in Baltimore and NY Dem (see above). The Clintons are all about destroying the party to keep the same old status quo. The Dem party has not wised up to the basic fact that IT NEEDS TO CHANGE DRASTICALLY TO HAVE ANY HOPE OF ELECTION. Sen. Obama is the only Dem candidate who offers relief from special interest and pedestrian candidates, ie Hilary.

I will still support Obama, no matter what. Obama is leading and now Hil and crew are "offering him" a VP slot, oh.....the arrogance.

If Hilary wins the Dem nomination, I will sit out the election, or vote for John McCain. Even John McCain (in spite of his seeming association w/ right wing evangelicals) offers more hope of change than Hilary.

As a Barack Obama supporter ( since day 1)i'm somewhat confused to why the American people continue to tell their son's & daughter's, that their Not Qualified(no matter what they accomplish)to become POTUS.There are Only 2 family's( BUSH-CLINTON) & their sibling's that have the qualification's to lead this great Nation of our's.We will send you to college to further your education, but make No bones about, You are Not ever gonna be Qualified to be The Leader of the Free world.
To the Mother's & Father's of America, you are telling other American's, that your Daughter's are available to be used as sexual plaything's by anyone with the Clinton name.
To the Mother's & Father's of America, you are telling other American's, that your son is available to be used as a so-called soldier, so that other's can make Untold amount's of $$$$$, thru the smokescreen of the War for Oil ( BUSHES). You're saying that you're Unwilling or to Weak to make the personal sacrifices that your parent's made before You. So you will offer up your children to anyone with the name of Bush- Clinton as sacrificial lamb's for their Pleasure.

The Dumbing down of America's children continue!
