The Bush White House

It's John McCain Day at the White House, NBC’s John Yang notes.

President Bush will welcome him and wife Cindy will at the North Portico -- the spot where foreign leaders arrive for State Dinners -- at noon in front of live television cameras. After lunch in the President's private dining room, Bush and the presumptive nominee will appear together in the Rose Garden for the official embrace--the President's endorsement.

VIDEO: NBC's David Gregory talks to MSNBC's Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann about what Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., needs to do to benefit from President Bush's support.

The president has already said that McCain is a true conservative and pledged to campaign for him. White House political officials acknowledge that Bush's unpopularity with moderates and independents -- the swing voters McCain would need to win in November -- makes the embrace tricky. Better to do it early and get it over with. And Bush remains popular with the Republican base, so the president can help with party unity and raise money.

Bush said in the past 24 hours that "America needs to get off oil."

I have a question, what has McBush & McWar done to help us accomplish this?  I dare someone to name 1 legitimate thing they have done to make this a reality?
McCain was a prisoner of war, bad yes but no commy would have taken me alive or any other deticated soldgier as far as that goes.If McCain was wise he would stay as far away from Bush as possible. When you see the numbers coming to the polls for this election it tells a strong statement which is we want as far opposite of whats in the office now(Bush the republican) it will be hard enough to win if this was your party, but incorporate what we have now will surely sink McCain.I like McCain of all the Rep nominations, but I will vote democrat all the way.One more thought about what is in the office now. If these so called WMD or ties with alquada that Iraq supposingly had would you not want concrete evidence before you envaded a country and rid them of there leader? I would want a scientist to analyze this supposid WMD I would want to hear the transmission between Hussein and Osama that proved a terrorist link.WTF did this false intel come from and only a bonehead would believe it without concrete evidence.I would think that Russia or China would want to do the same with our country. Bush should be on trial for his life for the murder of 10's of thousands of innocent lives for his part in the unlawfull invasion of Iraq. is there anyone out there who agree's?
This photo will be the deciding factor for real democrats, pretend democrats (read independents) will play games and vote for McCain, suit your boys and girls up for a hundred year war independent voters, the army is in need of more live bodies.
