Obama, the day after

SAN ANTONIO -- In the coming weeks, look for the Obama campaign to seek to start pushing hard against the substance of Clinton's claim that she has more experience than Obama does.

"I think that this week she made a series of arguments about why she would be a superior candidate," Obama told reporters during a press conference on his campaign plane. "She made the experience argument that she's been making repeatedly, particularly around foreign policy and her ability to handle a crisis. And so I think its important to examine that claim and not just allow her to assert it, which is think has been going on for quite some time."

Pointing to Clinton's foreign policy experience, he questioned how tangible it really was.

"I know she talks about visiting 80 countries. It's not clear, ya know, was she negotiating treaties or agreements or was she handling crises during this period of time? My sense is the answer is no," he said.

He also raised questions regarding transparency, saying that it was doubtful that Clinton could make a better argument on ethics and disclosure than him, saying "that's an issue that should be tested." Indeed, Obama's campaign issued a memo criticizing Clinton for waiting to release her tax returns; her campaign has said she will do so by April 15.

"Senator Clinton has also claimed that she is too 'busy' to release her tax returns," the memo reads. "Given the fact she is able to loan her campaign $5 million, you would think the Clintons would be able to hire an accountant. The reality is that she wants to keep this information hidden from voters. The people of Wyoming, Mississippi, Pennsylvania and the rest of the country should wonder why."

And in a conference call, Obama chief strategist David Axelrod, discussing the Clinton campaign saying it would release her tax returns on April 15, wondered why Clinton hadn't released her 2006 tax returns.

In the avail, Obama also blamed the barrage of negative attacks by the Clinton campaign on the reason that many undecideds had broken for Clinton over the past three days.  Referencing Clinton's complaint that the press had been too easy on Obama, he turned to the reporters present and claimed that the press had bought into that argument.

"The kitchen sink strategy I'm sure had some impact. Particularly when many of you in the press corps felt that you had been too hard on her and too soft on me. Complaining about the refs apparently worked a little bit this week, so in addition to my call to ["Saturday Night Live" executive producer] Loren Michaels, hopefully people feel like everything's evened out and we can start covering the campaign properly," he said.

But no matter who won the upcoming contests and where the delegate math will stand after all the primaries are over, even Obama acknowledged that superdelegates will have the final say in the process. "There's nothing that binds the superdelegates to honor what the voters in all these states and caucuses have determined," he said.

And what if party members and superdelegates want both names on the ticket? Obama didn't seem that enthusiastic.

"I've said before I respect Sen. Clinton as a public servant, ah -- she's a tenacious opponent. I think it is very premature to start talking about a joint ticket," he said.

Dangerous territory for Obama to be in. Making comments on issues of substence opens him up to the same questions. Does 2 years in the Senate equate to any experience on his part? Better for Barack to stick to the "Hope" and "Change" themes rather then have to explain to people just what exactly has he done - which to this observer is . . . nothing.
POSTED TODAY ON OBAMA'S WEBSITE:

The Clinton campaign today maintained that “the vetting of Barack Obama has just begun.”  The truth is, more than a year into this campaign, some very simple vetting of Hillary Clinton has yet to start.

In the face of her unwillingness to release her tax returns, Hillary Clinton has made the false case in this campaign that she is more electable because she has been fully vetted.  When it comes to her personal finances, Senator Clinton’s refusal to release her taxes returns denies the media and the American people the opportunity to even begin that process.  Though her campaign has tried to kick the issue down the road, Democratic voters deserve to know, right now, why it is she is hiding the information in her tax returns from last year.

The Clinton campaign has said that they have released copious amounts of financial information but there are many questions about their private dealings that could be answered in their tax returns but not in the information that is currently available.  For example, here are eight pieces of information that could be learned from her tax returns, the accompanying schedules, and attachments:

Effective tax rate – including whether or not any tax shelters were used to reduce it
Amount of income for spouses by source
Amount of stock gains and losses
Gross income for the couple
Amount earned from stock dividends
Amount of household employment taxes paid
Personal exemptions taken
Charitable contributions made
Senator Clinton has also claimed that she is too “busy” to release her tax returns.  Given the fact she is able to loan her campaign $5 million, you would think the Clintons would be able to hire an accountant. The reality is that she wants to keep this information hidden from voters. The people of Wyoming, Mississippi, Pennsylvania and the rest of the country should wonder why.

The Clintons’ record on releasing tax returns:

FEBRUARY 2008: Clinton Reiterated That She Would Not Release Her Tax Records Until She Is The Nominee And Not Before Mid-April. Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton says she won't release her tax returns until she has the Democratic presidential nomination in hand, and not before tax filing time comes in mid-April. "I will release my tax returns," Clinton said during the debate. "I have consistently said I will do that once I become the nominee, or even earlier." Pressed about the timing of releasing her tax returns, campaign aides were more reticent Wednesday, indicating that Clinton would not release the sensitive financial data during a hotly contested primary, but only at tax filing time. [AP, 2/27/08]

JUNE 2007: Clinton Does Not Plan to Release Her Tax Returns Until Next Year.  According to the Washington Post, Clinton said through a spokesman that, “like past presidential candidates,” she will “release tax information in the election year.”  [Washington Post, 6/19/07]

APRIL 12, 1996: Clinton Released His Tax Returns. President Clinton and his wife earned $316,074 in 1995, including the president's $200,000 salary, according to tax returns released Friday by the White House. The public release of the tax returns, three days before the April 15 filing deadline, shows that Clinton and first lady Hillary Rodham Clinton are owed a refund of $5,656 on the $81,093 they paid in taxes, and will apply that refund to their 1996 income taxes. [UPI, 4/12/96]

April 15, 1992: Bill Clinton Made His Tax Returns Public. APRIL 15, 1992: Bill Clinton made his tax returns made public. [Los Angeles Times, 4/16/93]
1) This attack is AFTER the elections.
2) PA is a closed primary
3) The support for Hillary is not something rational. It is largely the support of higher name recognition in Latinos and female loyalty in white women and nanny-state democrats. Thus her 46% in votes will simply not default to Obama in November
Giving Clinton the nod would be the biggest mistake the Democrats have made in a long time: UTTERLY UNELECTIBLE. If you think she can win the general against a middle leaning republican like McCain you are kidding yourself. Have her fav/unfav ratings changed? Wasn't it like 40/48? Good luck winning a working majority when 48% will never vote for you.
Looks like Mr." a new type of politics" is changing his tune. Big barack is on the war path. He is such a light weight. What a joke.
Barhack: I am not so sure it is premature to start talking about a joing ticket when neither one of you is going to have enough delegates to get the nomination....and you are close to eachother that I think it is the time to start talking the reality of it.

Either start talking about it or get beaten by her and have her choose someone else.
The people in Texas, and Ohio clearly don't trust Obama with the keys to our nuclear arsenal.
He's a charasmatic figure, and a good speaker.
But, he's not ready to be President, and voters in all "the big states" say so.
CROW IS BEING SERVED THIS MORNING AT BUFFETS EVERYWHERE POLITICAL PUNDITS GATHER FOR BREAKFAST. After Hillary proved to have the same blood as her husband, the "Come Back Kid", the punditry ilk this morning is scratching their heads, looking down at their plates, and thinking of how to rationalize Hillary's wins in yesterday's primary wins in Texas and Ohio that left egg all over their faces.
Fun fact! Obama won more net delegates by winning Hawaii than Clinton did by winning Ohio, Texas, and Rhode Island combined.

Go Obama! I'm so sick of the vile, disgusting manuevers of the Clinton campaign.  It's not worth abandoning all morals and decency for democrats to take back the White House.  Clinton suggesting "as far as I know" Obama's not Muslim, Clinton keeping the Canada-NAFTA story alive long after the Canadian Embassy denied the story, suggesting that Obama is tied to Rezko, yet they are unable to provide these mystical "ties"... the Clintons race-baiting in New Hampshire, the Clintons fear-mongering in Texas and Ohio...

A lot of America is tired of it.  We didn't like it when Republicans played nasty politics, and we don't like it when Democrats play nasty politics, either.
Here we go!  Go Obama.  Challenge Hillary on her claim  of "experience" and "having a red phone moment".  With all do respect to Laura Bush, Obama and his campaign may have to draw a similarity to what Hillary Clinton did and what Laura Bush did while in the White House to show Americans what Hillary's "experience" is really about.  Should Laura Bush now claim to have 11 years of "experience" because she is GW Bush's wife and has been the first lady of Texas and the US?

I think Obama (as well as the other past Democratic candidates) should have challenged Hillary on her 'experience' claim over three weeks ago.  Obama just let it go without challenging her on it.  He should point out that Hillary has been elected to public office for only 7 years as well her one "red phone call moment" was should we go to war with Iraq, and she said YES.  He needs to keep pushing the issue of judgement on important issues such as going after Al Qaeda, going to war in Iraq, and dealing with Iran.  He needs to show how Hillary's character and judgement are not presidential, like when she said "Putin doesn't a have soul", and then Putin responded back later "the head of a state should have a head".   This also applies to McCain, especially when McCain says "that when he sees Putin he only sees KGB".  This is not the type foreign policy experience that America needs!

Obama in 08!
Obama is looking a little upset today. The black vote was again a constent for him last night, but the white vote started to move away from him and vote for the white person. Between that, and Limbaughs support for Hillary, he lost the race battle last night.
Hillary needs Obama on the ticket, he doesn't need her. Very interesting to see see how exuberant the conservatives are in promoting Hillary ow - did you see how Joe Scarborough and Pat Buchanan went off on MSNBC? They definitely don't want to face Obama in the general.
Geez, all that going after the other canidate - I wonder if you will refer to Obama's negative campaigning ( which he has been doing for awhile on the stump) or just say he is "fighting back"...As for harm to the Party - give me a break - if you can't get through a fight for the nomination , what are you going to do in the general...And by the way, in the General, it's winner take all, none of this percentage nonsense - he is getting trounced in the states that are absolutely necessary - the large industrial states...and finally, who is Chuck Todd and where does he come from and what are his credentials??? PS..When did Keith join Chris with being Obama's PR director rather than a pundit?  JUST WONDERING?  Let me on with them and they would at least have real opposition to their cheerleading rather than the nonsense that sits across from them..
What on Earth in Hillary's mind makes her think she can win.  She still is not ahead in the popular vote and experts say she won't be by convention time.  She still is way behind in pledged delegates (that represent the will of the people.) And she still is way behind in overall delegates.  She stupidly makes the argument "I am more electable because I have won the big states."  Guess what, Hillary, your running against another democrat.  Those states are going democrat--in the general election. In fact, Obama brings in far more independent and republican votes that Hillary does.

So, if Hillary won, tell me--what did she win??

The overall popular vote?  The pledged delegates??

What?  What Hillary didn't do last night was loose--everthing.

So how is "Winning Defined?"  I gues it is clear, that the will of the American people means nothing-- if Hillary is nominated after losing the popular vote and the pledged delegate count.

And don't think for a minute that the American people will allow the above scenerio to happen.
A joint ticket is not a good thing.  I am a "cross over Republican"  I will cross over for Obama.  I would not cross over for a joint ticket with Hillary on it in either position because I think she is not trustworthy.  Experience as a first lady does not give experience as a president. (My husband is a home builder--that doesn't mean I know how to build a house though I've been on many job sites and I've listened in on many early am calls for a crisis of some sort or another)   And, I think the two of them together are like oil and water---they would not make a good team and would be disruptive to each other.
Regarding experience, the argument is that Sen Clinton had the opportunity to be a daily observer of what challenges a sitting President faces. Clearly, the best training possible. However, this "fly on the wall" argument is tactically difficult for her to make explicitly.
Obama has one week of criticism and he is calling it "the kitchen sink" strategy. Give me a break. This is his shortcoming...considering his "experience" on par with AmeriCorp community volunteers and state legislators. The media was called out by SNL and Obama has to whine to Loren Michaels...lets hope Loren will let the mockery of "the vast liberal conspiracy" continue to be scruitinized. Afterall, if having the judgement to be president is based on the stand against invading Iraq...then thousands of city and county council members -not to mention state legislators- are aptly prepared to be commander in chief. Buck up Obama...lets see if you can stand the heat. Because we all know the republicans are licking their chops to get to you.
It is about time Obama started to toughen up against her.  I know that he is trying to run a new kind of campaign where we don't through each other in the mud but she is out of line on so many things that someone has to stand up to her.  The press isn't going to do it so he mine as well.  And he doesn't have to do it in a slimy way he can do it eloquently.
Go get her Obama...it's time to go on the offensive. If you want to win this nomination, you will have to become more aggressive and confront Hillary on her false claims of superiority.

This is a good start....keep it coming
Clinton will distroy the greatest oppertunity for real sizemic change in American politics in a generation... for what.. so she can give a bigger speech in Denver.

Look at the Math--its IMPOSSIBLE for her to win the nomination without overturning the pledged delegates.

Whats the end game Hillary? Distroy the party for vanity?
Obama had to hope that this campaign was done last night as now the Tony Rezko trial will be in full swing and the campaign will be still ongoing.  The questions about his associations with Rezko will continue and will tarnish the golden boy image.  He will try to bring up the so-called Clinton scandals of the past but he will look bad in doing so, it will be in opposite of what his campaign has promised in the past, and he will just look like he is participating in "politics as usual".  If there is a conviction in the Rezko case or if Obama gets called to testify in the next few weeks this could be very damaging to him.
Hillary is a malcontent fake Democrat. Her tactics have been unbecoming to say the least.

Hillary's (and Bill's) aspirations to become President is so transparent. She will not stop until she reaches her destiny.

The sad part is that a woman I once respected has lost all my respect in the face of competition with an honorable man. Smearing your enemy who does the same to you is one thing but to smear a colleague is downright disgusting.

Barack it is time to bring the heat to Mrs. Almighty Hillary.
Good for you Obama. Start questioning her ethics and the things she is doing that are dirty w/out really slingling a whole lot of mud. You are showing that you do know how to fight and that Clinton should stop pointing fingers. After all the old saying goes...."whenever you point a finger there are 3 pointing back at you"!

Obama in 08
Hillary likes to call herself a ‘fighter’ and I really think there are more accurate terms that are not very complimentary.  Her problem is that she is quick and aggressive while lacking sensitivity and even a touch of humility, which simply results in her polarizing people instead of bringing them together.  With her everything seems to be just about her, with her boldly doing and saying whatever she thinks will get her what she wants.  As demonstrated over her history, she has difficulty in getting things done when she alienates instead of promotes cooperation.  So the rhetoric she offers may sound impressive but then she can actually be her own stumbling block and leave those who are dependent on her promises disappointed as she rationalizes and changes gears.  I wouldn't put too much faith in or be overly impressed by a lot of what she says and rather may stay open to Obama's softer and more cooperative ways.
This security experience being touted by Clinton is rather absurd.  If she couldn't detect Bill and Monica encounters that went on for years in the oval office, why should we trust her with our security? This woman is fake.  No wonder those who vote for her belong to a certain age group and/or low level of education -who can be manipulated.  I don't want another blue dress, vast right conspiracy, travelgate, what is is is -etc.  The clintons should be ashamed of themselves.
The Clintons have brought public disgrace to the U.S. and I don't even see why people are voting for her.  I wonder why she won't release her tax returns, what is she hiding?  Keep on keeping on Obama!
for the record, for those arguing about pledged delegates, the whole reason we have superdelegates, is the fact that if the democratic hierarchy, doesnt like the "will of the popular" vote in the primary, they can change it, lets face it, they have the ability to overturn whatever we do, thats why we have these so called super delegates, dates back to Mcgovern.
When is someone going to say it?  Hillary with that red phone ad was appealing to the racist in all of us.  Who do you want to answer the phone?  A White Granny or a black man?  Come on, folks:  She won the over 44 white women and white women over 70:  the I'm afraid to be raped by a black man crowd.  I am an Obama supporter and I would support him no matter what color or gender he was.  Hillary I would be against no matter what color or gender she was.  I see something fine in Barack, but in Hillary I see a loud mouthed opportunist.  Go, Barack!  Her dirty campaigning worked, so give her what she gave.  Her strategist, Mark Penn, works for the same p.r. firm that represents Blackwater and many Dubai companies who want to "clean up" their image and many dictators as well.  I wonder why she hired him?  And I wonder why the press never mentioned it?  Just who is getting the free pass around here?  And why do they never mention the affair she had with her Arkansas mentor when she found out about Bill's dirty little secrets.  Did anyone ever wonder why Chelsea doesn't look the least bit like Bill?  Ever wonder why she forgave him so readily?  Hillary already vetted?  That's a joke.  This woman is mentally ill.  I wouldn't trust her as President any more than I would trust Bill O'Reilly!  Give Obama a chance or this country is doomed!
Why isnt any talking about the fact that when Clinton had his "red phone moment" and had the opportunity to take out Bin Laden, he passed!! Since Hillary tries so hard to tie herself to her husband's administration, what judgment did THEY exercise when the had the opportunity?
Barack Obama should be extatic at the success he has achieved in Texas and Ohio.  Those were Hillary's to lose.  She had 20+ point leads two weeks ago and now she barely held on to Texas and had a weak showing in OH. Barack did very well and nothing in the delegate count changed.

Hillary of course is arguing that, even if she does not win more states, even if she does not win more votes, even if she does not win more delegates, the superdelegates should rescue her because she has won the "big" states which will be necessary in a general election.  But she fails to explain why Barack will not win the "big" states, which are democrat strongholds, against John "supports the war" McCain.

And she contradicts herself by saying that every vote and every state should have a chance to participate and vote, because every vote is important when it suits her argument for allowing FL and Michigan to include their delegatges.  If that is the case, why is she constantly arguing that the "big" states are more important that the smaller states?

She represents politics at its worst.
Poor Obama.  Take note America.  Obama is NOT ready for prime time.  He is clearly a ROOKIE.  If the office he was running for was a literary position in some collegiate setting, surely he would qualify.  There is NO way he is ready to be Commander in Chief of the United States of America.  As far as his lead in either the popular vote or delegate count, I would suggest that you go and take a look at the states he has actually won.  In the first place these are not the states the Demcrats have to carry to win in November.  Hillary has won the states necessary to accomplish this feat.  Next, the majority of the states he has won have been caucuses.  These clearly disinfranchise a large portion of voters because they  take place at night and lots of people cannot attend.  The reasons are work-related, familty-related, or the elderly that may not be able to drive at night.  Primaries allow the public to come all day - long into the night. Also, may I point out that neither candidate will have the number of delegates needed to win the nomination by the convention.  This is where the super delegates come into the picture.  The reason they are part of the democratic process is to come into the process if a situation like this occurs.  It is their responsibility to be independent and use their judgment based on the elections to choose the candidate that can WIN in November, not the person they like the most or the person their constituents like the most. As far as "throwing the kitchen sink" at Obama.  Trus me, Hillary has just touched the tip of the iceburg.  Imagine what the Republicans would do to Obama.  This is clearly just another indication that Obama is not qualified.  Come on America.  Hillary has shown that she is action behind her words, solutions to our problems and she is one tough cookie.  Let's roll up our sleeves like Hillary has and work with this champion of our party and win in November.
I want the Republicans out!  I want an administration that doesn't have decades of decades of political obligations to factor into its policy making.  I want a president whom inspires me to believe that we are a nation of good people, not a nation of opportunists that can tolerate whatever humiliating indecency slaps us in the face, if only to preserve our base of power. I once laughed at and scorned people whom wrote demeaning and accustory comments about Hillary Clinton.  But like my support for the "just" war in Iraq, I've come to see how wrong I was to believe she was an honorable person trying to the right thing.

If nothng else, Thanks Obama, for letting me see that we are NOT idealogically dead as a country
Its time for Obama to take off the gloves and give Team Billary a dose of the "scorched earth" they talk so much about.  Ethics?  She wants to talk about land deals with Rezko?  How about Whitewater and the unseemly departure from the White House with china and furniture in tow?  How about disgraced fugitive campaign contributor Mr. Hsu?  A taste/flair for sex scandals? talk about Bill and Monica being fast-forwarded into the present with her poor judgment in using LA Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa as her Latino pitchman despite his affairs with former TV anchor Mirthala Salinas between 2005-2007.  Let's see if "she stands by her man" on this one.  On the economy and jobs, point out Billary's role and association with the India lobby (and related campaign $$$$ contributions) on supporting the outsourcing of jobs from the US to Calcutta and New Delhi.  On the same them, point out her less than watchful role on the anti-labor Wal-Mart Corp. board of directors and the support she receives from the China lobby (also with related campaign $$$ contributions).  Point out all the needless conflict and classless behavior associated with the 1st Billary Administration during 1992-2000.  The next 7 weeks are going to be fun, there is a hell of a lot more material out there on Billary than there is on Obama.  I advise that you buy your popcorn early, sit back and enjoy.
SENATOR OBAMA, WOULD YOU PLEASE TELL YOUR SUPPORTERS NOT TO TEARDOWN HILLARY CLINTON SIGNS AND POSTERS,AS THEY DID AT "NUMEROUS" FACILITIES AND HOMES IN TEXAS. THANK YOU.
Ok America spoke, I have backed Obama from the start, I loved the idea of a new type of politics. But sometimes you have to beat them at there game before you can change things. So Obama you have lost my support. I will gladly restart my support if you do one thing. Give America what they want, win at no cost politics, quit worrying that the dem party will be hurt (Clinton doesn't care) and take the gloves off. The American people and media want a fight well Clinton has enough garbage to go after.
For instance. Unions backing her, I'm a Union worker, and I personally can't beleive you are supporting her with her Wal-mart back ground, and the fact that she is a Wall Street Dem not a labor dem!!!
Go after her lack of transparence which the tax returns are just the start of.
And for all you people that say 1) if she can't handle the clinton attacks how would he handle the Republican attacks. Well thats easy, it's about not wanting to distroy the party, now I think that has to be thrown out. 2)What about a new type of politics: I will just repeat sometimes you have to beat them at there game before you can change things.
TAKE THE GLOVES OFF OBAMA!!!!!!
A lot of people who post of this blog must be ignorant.  Barack was 20 points behind in both states just 2 weeks ago. Hillary implored late last week that, "If Barack didn't win all four states the American people must be having second thoughts about him." How about the fact that Madame Clinton won Ohio by 10 points and TX by 3 or 4 points means the American people are SURELY having second thoughts about YOU.
I am a student at SMU law, and I sometimes wonder who will be whiling to run for the most pretigious office in our country when I am in my forties. Maybe I could. But considering my last name is Kish I would find it hard to think I would be successful in obtaining this position if I were running against a "well-known" American name.  And also I didn't attend Harvard or Yale for law.  (I should have thought about that earlier)
I view last nights wins as a lost for Clinton.  To drop your lead in half in only two weeks seems horrible.  I find it terrible that the media spins things the way they do.  Shame on you MSM!!  And congrats to Barack...the ulimate fighter.  I love the quote, "We didn't lose the game, we just ran out of time."  God Bless America.
ETHICS? DISCLOSURE? The Clintons?  Tested? You bet, but already
been tested, several times and they failed miserably.
Let's remind folks of that-especially those who weren't there for all of the ethical drama.

The most arrogant comment made by Mrs. Clinton was
recently putting herself and JOHN MCCAIN on the same EXPERIENCE level versus Sen. Obama. Sen. Obama has more years in elected office and Mrs. CLINTON, with the FEWEST YEARS IN OFFICE of all 3, compared to John McCain on experience??? Not even in the same league.
What gall. CALL HER ON THAT ONE-let's compare: legislation, years/terms in office, life experience,
military experience...
When Senator Obama answers all questions about his relationship with Tony Rezko, a long time Obama supporter and fund raiser, currently on trial in Federal Court in Chicago; answers whether he will honor his pledge on campaign financing without reservations and stipulations; explaints exactly how and why his chief economic adviser was saying one thing to the Canadian government about NAFTA while Senator Obama was saying another; and why in over a year he could not find even one day to conduct or even begin oversigt hearings on Afghanistan; he ought not criticze Senator Clinton about her taxes or her ethics.  Senator Obama, who takes great pride in saying he learned politics Chicago style ( where most politicians find themselves indicted ), ought not challenge Senator Clinton's ethics--at least not until he answers all questions fully and honestly about his own.
Hey Hillary you supposedly visited 80 countries, tell me how it benefitted the American people? If the American people were to compare Laura Bush's presidential experience with yours, would Laura Win? Apologize to Gen. Petraeus, you know why, and make TV ads that explain how you failed America on NAFTA.
I actually think that if Obama has a chance at the nomination, this will be his moment to show that he can fire back as good as he gets.  Her campaign dominated the news cycle over the last week and I think that it hurt Obama.  Her constant criticism of him is that he will not be ready for the types of attacks that the Republicans will lodge.  While I wish that politics didn't have to be the scorched earth policy it seems to be, this will be a good chance for Obama to flex his political muscle and show the Dems and the Superdelegates especially (who look more and more to be the deciding factor) that he has the entire package, the ability to inspire, the ability to lead, and the ability to launch and takes punches from the opposing side.  Should be interesting to watch.
People who have glass houses should not be throwing stones.   While Obama questions Hillary's experience, he makes empty assertions about being chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations subcommittee.  Yet when asked, he had to admit he has not been able to take a vote or make any recommendations on that subcommittee because he accepted the chairmanship at the start of his campaign.   Hmm, let's see, wouldn't an ethical person not accept such a position if he knew he would not be able to do anything with it?   Shouldn't he let someone else accept the chairmanship so that at least someone is doing something in terms of Foreign Relations?   And shouldn't Obama stop insinuating that he voted against the war in Iraq, when all he did was give a speech?   Sounds to me like the junior senator from Illinois knew he was in dire need of some credentials and experience and had to stretch the truth about that vote and the chairmanship.   So what else may he be lying about?

HILLARY '08
OHHHH, OBAMA IA A CRYING BABY!!! HE IS BLAMING THE KITCHEN SINK HOUBLAAA  AND THE MEDIA FOR HIS LOSSES!! COME ON, IS ANYONE HAS ASKED HIM TO BE REZCO'S FRIEND? IS ANYONE HAS FORCED HIS ADVISOR TO MEET WITH A CANADIAN'S CONSULATE? HE HAS A THIN RESUME. HE IS A TALKER. YES, HE IS ONLY A MEDIA FAIRY-TALE. HE HAS NOT EXPERIENCE..
I think we all need to take a step back and focus our attention on McCain instead of on each other. Regardless of the tactics used so far we need to unite in defeating the Republicans. Please stop this petty name calling it only serves to help John McCain. You all are doing exactly what the Republican right was hoping for!
i think obama has to go all out against the clinton campaign because they are clearly not going to stop at anything to stop obama be it tarnishing his name and reputation. if hillary clinton knows what was good for her then she would concede defeat and let the democrats focus on beating the republicans with obama at the forefront so that he brings a refreshing change to america and its policies
Starting today Obama needs to go after McCain and leave Hillary alone to practice her withcraft!

Put all the focus on how he is the one candidate that can not only run against but beat McCain in Nov. Take him on like this is the general election and show this country what you have to offer! Don't stoop to the Clinton bs - that's exactly what they want (remember... we're dealing with pro's here!)

Hillary is like an irritating fly that just keeps buzzing around your dinner and you keep swatting at it - sooner or later the fly will go away! Because you protect your dinner!

This country was already seriously broken and look at the new lows we have sunk to!  I still have the faith that not only will Obama be the next (GREAT) Presidant of these (United????) States - but he will also be able to start the healing process we so desperately need!

Ps:  I am a white educated middle aged woman and have voted in every election since I was 18... having said that I can tell you that I will sit this one out before putting either Hillary or McCain in the Oval Office! We've already had 8 years of disgrace! Neither is deserving of my vote!

YES WE CAN!!! OBAMA 08 - KEEP THE FAITH - WE CAN DO IT!

Go negative, Obama! Show everyone what you're really made of. It will be interesting to see how you "spin" your attacks as your brand of new politics.
In Rhode Island, the schools were open and this is the usual place for seniors/peoples to go vote they were closed and small signs were on the doors of the polls door stating where you must go to vote, some people went to a poll and it was closed, politics is so evil, Hiliary did not win she just the right c
Hillary and Bill have a long history of dishonesty in politics (remember "I did not have sex with that woman"). Therefore, we know what they are willing to do to win. Obama is not portraying himself as a saint, but he has a much better chance with the Republicans as a president (and I don't count rabid radio people in this group)than a candidate who uses smear. Regretably, he is more attackable because he promotes dignity in the election process.
While I don't want Obama to climb in the gutter with Hillary he needs to go on the offensive and attack her arguements of more experience and having better judgement. Hillary needs to check her own closet while she's trying to link him to Rezco, his stand on NAFTA and his religion. Hillary better lock her closet door before the bones of the past jump out. After all people still remember WhiteWater.
