Oh but Gerry says that's 'cause they're black. Hide the white women and children -- especially at 3AM.
Based on the fact the 9/10 blacks voted for Obama in the past, Obama would be winning, not surprisingly!
Read the Racism/Sexism comments before I went to work. And they seem to still be flying. So, just a simple (not so innocent) question for those who think that Ferraro was right, that sexism is SUCH a liability whereas racism is virtually gone.  How many female senators are there?  How many African American senators are there? If you don't know, you ought to check.  And until you check, try something my grandmother always urged: engage brain before opening mouth.
For crying out loud, why doesn't MSNBC have a link to live coverage of the primaries? I don't have a TV at work you know and have to turn to CNN.com (yuck! I can't stand that Wolf Blitzer!) to actually have someone tell me what to think about what's going on! I mean seriously, you guys are owned by Microsoft, can't bill Gates get off his philanthroposizizing duff to hook up an internet cable or whatever pipe thingy allows you guys to talk live through my moving picture box while I'm stuck in this cubicle of infinite purgatory. Pretty please?

P.S. Mr. Gates, I love what you've done with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation! And I just love the name! Aren't you supposed to be coming out with a new windows thingamajig sometime soon? Please send any complimentary Zune products you might have to <redacted>
Hillary Clinton is just an empty rhetoric-talking pantsuit.  She is all about speeches, no action.

If she can't take the little bit of heat Obama is throwing at her, I guess she'll fall apart when the Republicans tear into her.  She should just quit now.

She has only gotten this far because of whom she is married to.  All she does is whine.  She forgot to reject and denounce Ferraro's racist statement.

When will this nightmare of a campaign end?
"'Sexism is a bigger problem,' Ferraro argued. 'It's OK to be sexist in some people's minds. It's not OK to be racist.'" -- Geraldine Ferraro

As a professional woman, I have no quarrel with Mrs. Ferraro’s statement that sexism is still a big problem in this country.  But, frankly, this kind of remark smacks dangerously of the “soft bigotry of low expectations.”

Mrs. Ferraro’s statement also begs another big question -- since when did racism disappear as an issue in American politics?  In what insular world does she live, anyway?  Does she seriously think that people -- in the privacy of the voting booth --  only vote for Barack Obama only because it's NOT OK to do otherwise?
lol, did anyone just hear john king on cnn?  "this is a heavy republican area, not many dems here (north Mis.), but they are being swamped by requests for democratic ballots"

combine that with blitzers's "we think obama will win, but was want to see the votes coming in due to certain factors occuring."

i wonder what's happening...
Once upon a time Hillary knew right from wrong, but she decided she would rather be president than be right.
Obama just picked up another delegate in California and may get 2 more from Ohio. He is needs less than 50% of remaining delegates to win nomination. Time to Barack the vote in PA. I can't wait.
Well sure he did........9 out of 10 blacks voted for him.

Obama still has not answered the questions about his all
black racist church he has been amember of for 20 years.

His friend; terrorist William Ayers

His black racist pastor Wright who praises Farrakhan whois the leader of the nation Islam.

OH yeah,  and Rezco

and... Nafta

and the false comments about Lou Dobbs.
Hey Charlie in my native city (LA), I have the same problem on the car radio.  We have XM satellite and the used to have MSNBC  but now all they have is CNN or worse (although I should try the public radio station come to think of it).  Would much prefer MSNBC.

I'm thrilled for Obama.  Came home and found I missed out on Ferraro, take two.  What is up with that woman?
Check out CNN  Lou Dobbs is fighting mad and has issued a statement to Obama for telling lies on Dobbs.
FERRARO IS RIGHT.
=================
ALL THE WHITE CANDIDATES LOST OR DROP-OUT FROM THE RACE.
=================================================
DO YOU REALLY BELIEVE,OBAMA OR HILLARY ARE BETTER CANDIDATES THAN ALL THE OTHERS???????THE ANSWER IS NO.
===================================================
ACTIVISTS DESTROY THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY.
=======================================
STAY TUNE IN NOVEMBER..........
==================================
Uh, Racial Factor:  Crawl out from under your rock and look at the facts.  Obama took Kansas, Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho, Iowa, etc. - not a lot of black faces around there.  it's not about race, its about character!
YOU DON'T SEND OUT A 3RD STRING PLAYER AT A SUPERBOWL----
WHAT IS WRONG WITH OUR COUNTRY...OBAMA IS NOT A ROCK STAR OUR COUNTRY IS IN CRISIS AND WE VOTE FOR HIM???
EVERYONE GET A CLUE.....HE'S NOT THE ONE!!!
Hillary should drop out and take her hate-filld supporters with her.
Well it doesn't really matter who wins does it? The bottom line is no matter who wins the presidency this time around ... the COUNTRY looses.
Why is it that the MSNBC moderators allow people to make racist statements about blacks yet restrict any comments that complain about racism?
Don't you all know that the only reason that Hillary
is in this is to get more of that government retirement money?  She and her husband have already
bilked us out of many $100,000 and they still want more. GIVE ME A BREAK.... She could care less about
the working class people who pay her salary.  It has
always been about what could be done for them or what
they could get.
The whole commerce between master and slave is a perpetual exercise of the most boisterous passions, the most unremitting despotism on the one part, and degrading submissions on the other. Our children see this, and learn to imitate it.

Peace and abstinence from European interferences are our objects, and so will continue while the present order of things in America remain uninterrupted.
(Thomas Jefferson)

Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual.

I find it necessary to send these quotes by Thomas Jefferson they are good for a form of reflection on all of our parts. I believe this election has been made a mockery. The media has tainted this election and made it a race issue. This is bad for america (really bad). I fear for what is going to stem from the media showing and making light of hillary and mccain campaign affiliates making these racist statements.

Thank You for reading.

This is not a surprise since obama's supporters are voting along racial lines.
Obama was expected to win MS by a landslide because of the state African American population.  However, again this is primarily a RED state come general elections.  If the "white" vote stays with Obama it will mean something, if not, this win is meaningless at the end of the day and come general election time -- he will lose.

Obama has not won one BLUE state except IL.

People should get a clue.
As a life long democrat I am sick of Hillary. It is time to change the power elite in this country. A fresh perspective like Obama's would be welcome in a world where old school conflict reigns.

I will not vote for Hillary, and any super delegate that supports her is nothing more than a hanging chad. They will destroy the new enthusiasm that Obama has brought to the party and will prove that our country is about power elite more than democracy
LIN HO do the math.
===================
Obama won all the small states,and got less than 10% of the register voters.What about the 90%??????
He has NO change to win in November.
He lost all the big states[California,New York,Texas,New Jersey,Ohio].
He's NOT electable in November.....
Well, who is the one, Mr. Amazed? I'm curious.
The road to the White House is straight and narrow, not broad and crooked. We were created to be Agents of Grace. Among the things that would contaminate a person is contact with certain elements that are unclean, but rather than becoming contaminated by what is unclean, GOD made the unclean whole. HE secured the principles of a hallowed creation by  changing the source from contamination to reserviors of His Mercy. No one is beyond the reach of GOD's GRACE. Stand Still and see HIS salvation!
I am a person of color - one of those you people label as BLACK.  It is true the Barack is winning becasue most Blacks are voting for him. So while Her comments bother some people, it stands to reason it might be true.  Funny - truth hurts.  I did not vote for him and will not becasue just becasue a person shares my skin color does not mean they think like mean or really have my best interest at heart.  Barack is playing off the simple minded BLACK folks.  In the end the country will be no better off.
I do not know about that OBAMA CHARACTER, he is inspiring to listen to but what is he realy saying - think about it!!!!!
Hillary is pulling her hair trying to find something on Obama. She believes that president's chair is her birth right and cannot accept the fact that it is NOT. I used to like her but her twisted, unethical moves turned me off. In Ohio during the debate, every time Obama was talking, she was stearing at him as if she was trying to say "Just wait Obama, I will pull your eye balls after the show." I was getting goose bumps just looking at her.
WHAT A MESS WE AR IN NOW
The fact that Osama is not really kicking butt in a basically African American state means that maybe people are starting to look at his record and realize what a hypocrite he is. Look at his record people he missed 60% of the votes do you want another president that is only at the White House at his whim. Also he has helped the poor in a foreign country  what has he done for the poor in the United States?  And Revvy what about Osama's hate filled supporters even in Mississippi more people want Hillary on the ticket if Obama wins than Obama on the ticket if Hillary wins which says they are really not 100% behind him. And Lin Lo Osama really lacks in character if I can't be number 1 I don't want anything, EGO!!! Devin I have heard Republicans say they are voting for Obama not because they like him but because they know they can beat him.
Dee Dawg in California: Then I suggest you move to the Middle East.....I'm sure you'd be thrilled with their democracy! {Oh, make sure you cover your face)
I can't believe what I am reading .  And very disapointed in msnbc.  Freedom of speach is one thing but at least show some professionalism and respect.
This country continually shows it's ignorance.  First, taking affirmative action out of the equation, ask a black citizen when their race has been as asset to them professionally.  While I recognize sexism, I have also know several women who have benefitted from their gender.  To even suggest that sexism is the bigger issue we face as a culture is ludacris.
Futhermore, why does this country as a whole have such a difficult time recognizing that all Muslims are NOT terrorists?!  This ignorant perspective is akin to suggesting all Christians aspire to blow up abortion clinics.  The world is watching, time to show we have advanced in the past 150 years....and this is coming from a middle age, highly educated, socially responsible WHITE woman.
I'm noticing more and more lately that the Democratic Party doesn't put up winning candidates so much as surviving candidates.  Perhaps if they put more effort into demonstrating why they ARE qualified for office and less into why their opponents AREN'T, they'd have some juice to spare for after the convention.
It takes a woman to tell the truth about Obama. The media is in love with him and never question Obama on anything but gives him a past on his dealings with that crook in Chicago. Hillary is my choice but I will vote for McCain if we are faced with Obam Hussein is the other choice
How many Rs have crossed over to vote for Obama?How many are crossing back in the general and voting for the republican.Obama is right this is the silly season and the sill republicans are running the democratic campaign.I cannot stand Obama and will help him loose in the general. And his cultist followers are a site to behold---scary people
"'Sexism is a bigger problem,' Ferraro argued. 'It's OK to be sexist in some people's minds. It's not OK to be racist.'" -- Geraldine Ferraro

So does that mean Obama has the advantage in the general election? Does that mean the superdelegates should go with Obama. Just wondering if that was her point.
"Check out CNN  Lou Dobbs is fighting mad and has issued a statement to Obama for telling lies on Dobbs." -- John Doe

John, you're breaking my heart. I think I'm going to cry. Where should I send the sympathy card.
So does that mean Obama has the advantage in the general election? Does that mean the superdelegates should go with Obama. Just wondering if that was her point.  Who's Sane (Sent Tuesday, March 11, 2008 10:28 PM)

That’s my conclusion, too.  All voters must vote for Obama because it’s "not OK" not to.  It’s a mandate.  Really.
WOW! Character and decency win again.  You are the one, Sen. Obama -- and I just happen to be white, female and 63.  You have what it takes: intelligence, insight, decency, all the skills to lead us together as fellow inhabitants of the world.  You are the best!
I just feel like screaming, "HEY PEOPLE, DON'T YOU SEE IT ISN'T ALL ABOUT RACE!"
My point is Barack Obama is not only winning because of the support from African Americans. I see some of you have the attitude that " Of course he won Mississippi, black people are voting for him 9 out of 10 times." While I admit it is undeniable that he overwhelmingly has the majority of "black vote", I do not buy that this is the only way he is winning. I also understand the kind of solidarity some African Americans may feel for him. I do not believe, though,that the majority of African Americans would vote for him if he wasn't the fantastic candidate that he is.

I want to point out also, if you think his success can only be attributed to race and the "black vote" for Barack Obama, how do you explain his huge wins in states like the following:

Maine he won 59 % of the vote to Clinton's 40% - Maine is 1% African American, 96% White

Idaho - Obama 80%, Clinton 17% - Idaho is listed as being 86 % white, 0 % African American (Yes, it's listed as 0.)

Vermont- Obama 59 %, Clinton 39%- Vermont is 96% white, 1% African American

Wisconsin- Obama 58%, Clinton 41 %- Wisconsin is 86 % white, 6% African American.

Do you get my point?

Do the math people. It's not about race. It's about what Mr. Obama offers us after 7+ years under the Bush Admin. He offers us HOPE and MORE..because he is willing to stand up and say and convince us to join him in saying WE CAN and WILL MAKE THINGS BETTER ...TOGETHER..and he offers it to all Americans regardless of race.

Seems we have been living in the fog of fear and hopelessness for so long, so many of us have all but forgotten there was any such thing as HOPE and possibilities.

I support Obama all the way to the White House!!

Oh...PS...I'm one of the 96% of white folks from Maine. :0P
Here we are democrats fighting against democrats, shouldn't we be working towards getting rid of the republicans?
We are fools playing to the media tune! Guess who controls the media -- BIG MONEY!
