First thoughts: Michigan re-vote mo'

*** 'So You're Tellin' Me There's A Chance…': While the idea of a Florida re-vote seems to be fading after yesterday, there’s a lot of momentum in Michigan for a June 3 re-vote, according to informed sources in the state. There are a couple of hurdles, including who pays for the primary. The state would pass a law that would appropriate the money to run this special primary election; not a mail-in, but a full bore in-person 100% open primary. The state, in turn, would be reimbursed by the Democratic Party or potentially other entities or even seeing if it's possible for donors to contribute to the state directly. Everyone seems to be on board in the state Democratic world of Michigan, including the governor, the Dingells, Carl Levin, the Kilpatricks and the UAW. For those that follow Michigan Democratic politics closely, you'll know getting all those folks in agreement isn't easy. The only thing that could stop this primary logistically is if the state party is told -- legally -- they can't raise the large soft money contributions they would need to raise in order to come up with the $10-12 million.

*** Terms for a settlement? The momentum for a revote in Michigan might actually expedite the negotiations between Clinton and Obama on what to do with Florida and Michigan delegates. There are some competing proposals out there. Obama's camp isn't interested in extending the campaign primary schedule, and Clinton's camp isn't interested in losing its argument that it already won Michigan and Florida. So some seating of a, say, 52-48 split on delegates with supers voting how they want, could be more possible as this revote stuff makes its way through the Michigan legislature. So the most interesting thing to could come out of this Michigan re-vote momentum is that negotiations for seating these delegates gets more serious.

*** The speaker speaks: For the second time in the past week, Nancy Pelosi yesterday shot down the idea of a Clinton-Obama or Obama-Clinton “dream ticket.” "Take it from me, that won't be the ticket," she said, per NBC's Mike Viqueira. If this isn’t yet another sign that Pelosi is pretty much in Obama’s corner -- knocking down the idea that you can still get Obama if you vote Clinton -- we don’t know what is. Most of her House kitchen cabinet is behind Obama, and this just seems like another signal. No doubt the Clinton folks know this, which means it could make Pelosi's hope of playing elder stateswoman who can settle this at the end a bit harder.

*** Mother's Day: As disciples of presidential historian James David Barber will tell you, some of the greatest influences on modern American presidents have been their mothers. After reading today’s front-page New York Times profile of Obama’s late mother, we are pretty sure of this: If Obama goes on to win the White House, Ann Dunham Soetoro -- who was born in Kansas, moved to Hawaii, married a man from African, then married a man from Indonesia, and became an anthropologist -- could very well be the most fascinating presidential mother in this country’s history.

*** Just when you thought you were out…: ...Iowa pulls you right back in. Under the radar, but coming up on Saturday are the Iowa county conventions, where delegates actually RE-caucus -- viability, threshold and all. Why does this matter? All those Edwards delegates (14 in total). Remember, Edwards finished second with 30% of the vote or 4,046 (out of 13,485) delegates to the county conventions. Where will they go? Do they go to Obama because of Clinton’s dissing of caucuses since Iowa? Do they go to Clinton? Or do these fiercely loyal delegates stick to Edwards, so they can wield more influence at the state convention? In a race for delegates, this normally mundane exercise is worth watching this weekend…

*** Clinton's TOO strong in Pennsylvania? If Clinton scores the endorsements that are rumored in Pittsburgh today, it will underscore the strength she has in this state. The establishment in Pennsylvania is not split at all. It's 95% behind Clinton, making a victory in the state all but assured this far out. And yet, is it good for Clinton to be this strong in the state this early? Will it spook Obama out of the state? Will it spook the media where they won't value a Clinton victory as much as they did in Ohio? Clinton is locking down this state early; Obama's headed to Indiana this weekend. The Pennsylvania race will inevitably close, but it does seem Clinton has a distinct advantage. She just doesn't want to get too far ahead, devaluing a potential victory.

*** On the trail: Clinton stumps in Pittsburgh (where she may lock up more key endorsements); McCain holds a media avail and town hall in Springfield, PA before heading to Chicago to raise money; and Obama is down in Chicago.

Let's see now, I guess this will get buried somehwere underneath jaycee ventura's daily rant.

J. Merle Stanley, Westchester, NY (Sent Friday, March 14, 2008 9:52 AM)

You mean, as opposed to YOUR daily rant? At least you don't have to be in a szchizophrenic haze to understand Jaycee.
Hey Jersey Joe,
Get off Jaycee's back.  If you were able to READ the posts, you'd realize that not only are they different each day, but they're insightful.  Why don't you put up something similar for your candidate?

A Jaycee Fan

Jaycee, it's really not polite to have complimentary responses to your own posts under different names. Little tacky, don't you think?
None of this matters if Howard Dean and Nancy Pelosi do not address the upcoming fraud trial of the Clintons. Before anyone spends a dime, Sen Clinton should be called out and asked, at the very least, to disclose the appeal of this case. The next hearing date is April 24, just TWO DAYS AFTER the Pennsylvaia Primary, to SET A TRIAL DATE!

Maybe Nancy Pelosi has called her on it. Maybe that is why she is sceptical about an Obama Clinton ticket. Sen Clinton was quick to jump on the bandwagon and try to associate Sen Obama with Tony Rezko's wrong-doing when he is not a named defendant. She and Pres Clinton are named defendants in their case.

Take care of this before people spend all of this money on re-do's.  By the way look at who is asking for the re-do's. Sen Clinton doesn't want to play by the rules and it looks bad.

The Monster: A Loyal Clinton Soldier Turns in His
Badge

Posted March 9, 2008 | 03:37 PM (EST)

She has no idea.

She has no idea how many times I defended her. How
many right-leaning friends and relatives I battled
with. How many times I played down her shady business
deals and penchant for scandals -- whether it was
Whitewater, Travelgate, Vince Foster, Cattle Futures,
Web Hubbell, or Norman Hsu. She has no idea how
frequently I dismissed her husband's serial adultery
as an unfortunate trait of an otherwise brilliant man.
For sixteen years, I was a proud soldier in the legion
of "Clinton apologists" -- who believed that peace and
prosperity were more important than regrettable
personality traits.

After seven years of George W. Bush, America is hungry
for change. Big change. And let's face it -- Hillary
Clinton, the party standard-bearer and former White
House denizen -- isn't it. But even after voters
coalesced around Barack Obama, handing him eleven
straight primaries (twelve, if you count Vermont), she
refused to accept the possibility -though math, money
and momentum were clearly against her -- that the
Bush/Clinton Family Band might not be #1 on America's
Billboard chart anymore.

So, rather than step aside and become the hero of her
party, she made a strategy decision to go negative in
advance of Ohio and Texas. Not just negative --
personal. She cynically chided Mr. Obama's message of
hope. She played the victim card. The gender card. The
Muslim card. She cried "shame on you, Barack Obama"
for his campaign tactics, while (if we're to believe
Matt Drudge) simultaneously floating a picture of him
in Somali garb to stir up questions of his patriotism.

She accused Mr. Obama of his own shady business deals
(the irony of which nearly ripped a hole in the fabric
of space/time). She accused him of being two-faced on
NAFTA, when it was her campaign that had winked at the
Canadians. She demanded that he "reject" the
endorsement of Louis Farrakhan, but remained silent
when Rush Limbaugh stirred up votes for her in Texas.
And she crafted the now-infamous "3am" attack ad --
which used scare tactics to highlight Senator Obama's
perceived lack of experience in foreign affairs.
Straight out of the ol' Atwater/Rove playbook. Of
course, all of this paled in comparison to her
husband's patronizing, racially insensitive comments
earlier in the primary season.

Was this the same Hillary Clinton whose husband ran on
the idea that hope was more powerful than fear? The
wife of a president who had less foreign policy
experience than Barack Obama when he was elected? And
exactly which crisis is she referring to when she
claims to have more experience? And while we're at it,
where the hell are those tax returns?

It's clear that Hillary's back in this thing, at least
for the time being. But at what cost? Short of some
cataclysmic event, there's no way either she or Mr.
Obama can reach 2,025 delegates in the remaining
contests. That means she's accepted the inevitability
of a brokered convention. A convention she'll almost
certainly enter with fewer delegates than her
opponent. That raises some important questions:

Will she subvert the will of the voters? Will she turn
Denver into a series of shady back-room deals and arm
twisting? Will she dispatch her husband to pressure
superdelegates into switching allegiances at the last
minute? Are we in for, as one pundit put it, a good
ol' fashioned "knife fight?"

And if she does manage to secure the nomination, what
about the scores of disenfranchised Obama supporters
(many of them young people with little loyalty to the
Democratic Party)? How will she bring them back into
the tent? Hillary seems confident that this can be
remedied by offering Mr. Obama a spot on her ticket.
Really? And what would his motivation be for
accepting? Playing third-fiddle to Bill?

However, if Mr. Obama goes on to secure the
nomination, she'll have handed his rival a treasure
trove of sound bites. All John McCain has to do
between August and November is play clips of Hillary
questioning Obama's experience and belittling his
platitudes. In a way, she'll have become Mr. McCain's
second running mate.

She's proven that she cares more about "Hillary" than
"unity." More about defeating Obama than defeating the
Republicans. She's become a political suicide-bomber,
happy to blow herself to bits -- as long as she takes
everyone else with her.

On Friday, one of Barack Obama's foreign policy
advisors, Samantha Power, resigned after calling
Senator Clinton "a monster" during an off-the-record
exchange. It was an unfortunate slip, but one that
echoed the sentiments of many Clinton apologists like
me -- who've watched Hillary's descent into pettiness
and fear-mongering with the heartbreak of a child who
grows up to realize that his beloved mother has been a
terrible person all along.

Are the conservatives right about the Clintons? Will
they do and say anything to get elected?

I don't know.

All I know is...I'm through apologizing.
Geraldine Ferraro said if Obama were white he would not be the democratic front-runner at this time. Well, she was wrong. Now, I'd say that if Hillary Clinton were any other candidate trailing Obama in delegates count, states won and most popular votes, there would have been no talk of re-votes in Florida and Michigan. The leaders of the DNC are bending over backward to help the party's establishment candidate regain her position as the shoo-in nominee that Obama prevented on Super Tuesday.

If all this mess in the Democratic Party is indicative of the mess to come in a potential Hillary Clinton presidency, then heaven help us. The woman truly is polarizing.
I hear the spread in PA is down from 18 points to about 8 points.  It will end at around 2 - 4 points, anyones game.
Is anyone concerned about our right to know about this Fraud Trial?  I called the DNC 202-863-8000 and was told that "We don't get involved in the Candidates Campaigns."  Dems make the best Uninformed decision you can is basically what they are saying.

The Clinton’s are named defendants in a Civil Fraud Case connected to Campaign Finance irregularities and have not disclosed the appeal of the case. There will be a trial date set on April 24th, just 2 days after the key Pennsylvania Primary for the Fraud Case Paul v. Clinton in the Los Angeles Superior Court.  Plaintiff says he will call Gov Rendell will be a witness in the case.  From what I understand, this case began when prior to Sen. Clinton’s 2000 New York Senate campaign.

The Clintons and the media in a weird way are helping Obama by their pushing of this Obama Pastor story. Obama will get to REINFORCE with his statements about it that he is a CHRISTIAN. Every morning when I turn on the TV I wonder what will be the latest "expose" today?? After the smear campaign tacics of Penn, Shaheen, Kerrey, Johnson, and Ferraro, we now have the Pastor. But as in the VP story of last week that backfired on the Clintons by having it pointed out that they were really admitting Obama WAS READY FROM DAY ONE to be PRESIDENT if he was QUALIFIED TO BE VP, then this Pastor story will do the same as it will CLARIFY ONCE AND FOR ALL that Obama is NOT a Muslim, but is a CHRISTIAN. He will distance himself from his former Pastor's remarks - but the OPERATIVE WORD IS PASTOR!!
Maybe part of Hillary's overall strategy necessitates the undermining and invalidation of the DNC. The sole objective is be the nominee. If she has to discredit the DNC and permanently split the party, so be it. Her and Bill will be more than willing to appoint other people to the DNC. And if she can't be the candidate, what does she care about the party? Her choice for president (other than herself) is John McCain. I don't think he is running as a Democrat.
I usually DO NOT post my thoughts or comments.  However, I am becoming so sickened by the Clintons. How badly could they possibly want this?? Evidently bad enough to trash a good man, lie to the country and hope we are all stupid enough to believe it. How can we, as Americans--supposedly an example to all the world of how democracy works--stand for such?  She is picking which states are important--and discarding the rest of us!  How can my vote count less than someone that lives in Pennsylvania, or Ohio?  If I had know that Virginians were expendable, I would have moved north years ago.  Of course, I have a suspicion that if she had won here, or even came close---my vote would count for much more.

I am embarassed that at one time I actually supported her husband and looked forward to her running.  I only hope that the people in Pennsylvania--and all other contests remaining-- look at what is actually going on--and how far someone is willing to go to get what they want.

Does the end actually justify the means??  I would hate to have to explain that one to my 11 year old son!

Let's think about our kids--all kids, regardless of which state they live in-- and do the right thing for this country and our future.

Obama is the best hope we have!
If the rules don't matter in Florida and Michigan, then why does the rule about needing 2025 delegates matter? Why not just nominate the candidate with the most delegates at the end?
Hypothetical: You take your child to church. The pastor simulates a sex act and swears from the pulpit, on Christmas Day no less. Parents who subject children to porn and graphic materials do get arrested for abuse. You keep taking your children to that church. Good judgement?

That same minister says you should not sign "God Bless America" but "God Damn America."  Your church states its first allegiance is to Africa. You keep going to that church. Good judgement of somebody who may be the next POTUS?

Five days after 911, same minister says the terrorist attacks were the US' fault.  You keep going to that church. Good judgement of somebody who may be the next POTUS?

Five days after 911, same minister criticizes the US for being pro Israel. You keep going to that church. Good judgement of somebody who may be the next POTUS?

Same minister goes on a trip to Lybia with Louis Farrakahn. And, your church gives Farrakahn an outstanding leadership award.  You keep going to that church. Good judgement of somebody who may be the next President of the United States?
You've called this minister your "mentor". You name this racist, anti-Semitic, anti-American to your campaign's committee on religion. But, you say you've distanced from him and don't espouse everything he does. Good judgement?

You know that Tony Rezko is a crook. You enter into a land deal with him. You attempt to minimize it by saying "bone-headed mistake."  Good judgement?

You associate with William Ayers, member of the Weatherman, who declared war on the US and bombed the Pentagon. Good judgement?

When growing up, my parents reminded me that who you associate with makes a difference and people will judge you by those associations.  Did your mother not teach you that, Mr Obama?
I want someone to tell me the logic of this post. Please read it carefully;

"...Jaycee:  As usual, right on!  I am a registered Independent and really liked Biden or Edwards.  I would have been fine with Hillary or Barack until the McCain incident.  That just did it for me.  I cannot support a candidate that has no problem insulting a fellow Democrat at the expressed benefit of a Republican.  I have been totally ticked off ever since at her.   ....."
Pam OC,CA (Sent Friday, March 14, 2008 10:14 AM)

First off, why is a self proclaimed "registered independent" worried or concerned about who's running for The Democratic Nomination? The whole idea of being "independent" is to free one's self of partisan obligations.
Secondly, why is this "independent" so vehemently anti-Republican, and anti-McCain? That exposes partisanship in and of itself.
Thirdly, why is a "registered independent" worried about one Democrat insulting another? That doesn't make sense. A true independent wouldn't care.
The issue here, is this. independents shouldn't have a say in who gets The Democratic Nomination. Especially since "independents" are responsible for Bush's "selection" in 2000, and thusly; they are also, at least, partially responsible for Bush's failure to prevent 911.
We need to keep "independents" out of the nominating process. They stick it to us everytime.
If we are all in agreeance to get rid of SuperDelegates how about getting rid of the Electoral College?
Michigan is a tough State for both candidates, I think it will be a great matchup. I would like to see who will win.
".....Does anyone think Hillary would run as an Independant? ....."
Sue Watters, San Francisco CA (Sent Friday, March 14, 2008 10:21 AM)

Quite frankly, if she doesn't get the nomination, I hope she does run independent.
I'll vote for her.

What kind of super moron still believes there is any connection between Obama, and Muslims?
********
I don't believe he's a Muslim.  I do believe he is a black separatist, anti-American, anti-Semitic, racist church and that Obama's "mentor" is the pastor of that church.
Hey Chuck.

How about posting a copy of the "Pledge" that all Dem candidates signed where they agreeed not to campaign or "particpate" in the Michigan and Florida primaries.

Olbermann had a copy of the pledge on his show last night. You need to post one as part of one of your threads so the Hillary supporters here can see just what she signed and agreed not to do before the Michigan and Florida primaries.
C A, Tuscaloosa, AL (Sent Friday, March 14, 2008 10:07 AM)

I agree with you. Please Chuck and those at first read, please post it. Also, I hear people talking about Morning Joe, has anyone watched Dan Abrams, he really be reaching for stuff to go against Obama with, he is so far up Hillary's backside that she would need a full enema to release him!!
Obama supporters need to close their mouths, and open their eyes!
True Americans, those who love their country and anyone who ever wore the uniform to defend it, could never ever vote for this man.

J. Merle Stanley, Westchester, NY

You act as though no one you have ever known has had an opinion about something that you did not agree with.  His mother, who raised hi, along with his grandparents were white.  Obama said that Mr. Wright was a spirtual advisor, not a policy or political advisor.  Those are two separate things you know.  And besides, Mr. Wright simply stated that 9/11 was a result of the actions of the U.S. in other countries, not that it was a good thing that happened.  Within your narrow views of reality, it would be fair to say that all catholics are child molesters, all muslims are terrorists, all whites are KKK members, and all blacks are ignorant.  See how ridiculous this sounds.  I don't agree with the fact that the minister shared his personal opinions with his congregation.  That is something he should have kept at his dinner table, in my opinion.  But, he does not represent the views of everyone who is a member of that church.
SOLUTIUONS : RE-DO THE "ENTIRE" PRIMARY ELECTIONS, OR FLIP A COIN. "HEADS UP"
PAT H-I agree 100% with your 9:50 a.m. post;however; the Dems better wake up fast and stop this infighting because McWar is just seating back, acquiring money and gaining added talking points against one or the other. My big concern is once it's over the white women over fifty and those making less tha 50 thousand a year will stay home on Nov 4th and vice/versa with younger voters who are voting in record numbers.
Pat Huntington NY:'...If the Dems have any chance in winning in 2012, or more likely 2016, we need to change the primary/caucus system to 100% primaries,...'

Close, but NO CIGAR
The Iowa caucus was GREAT !
It diminishes the influence of money and endorsements
All the candidates had to face real voters and answer their questions
THAT'S why Hillary lost
She's a mnaufactured candidate, depending on money and insiders.

'...closed only to Democrats,...'

Democrats AND independents
We always NEED independents in the general election
California Republicans are bemoaning the fact that they're closed to independents
By having independents vote in the California Democratic primary, we get them interested in the Democratic race and our candidates
The trend lines in registration show Independents growing, while Democratic and Republican registration is going down
After THIS nominating process, I can see Democratic registration PLUMMETING if cheating and smear tactics prevail
Let he Independents vote in our primaries, but maybe not Republicans

'...with winner takes all,...'
A good point
You really should get more delegates for winning a primary or caucus
But, big stateshopefully be winner take all
Maybe smaller states could be persuaded to move in that direction

'...and NO superdelegates....'

There ARE too many Super Delegates
Congressmen and Senators and state wide office holders should be Super Delegates
But, NOT PARTY functionaries

You make some good points, Pat
(this is a historic occasion)

'...PS - we lost this year, again, because of the failed system...'

Barack Obama will be the nominee
And he will win the General Electioon
Hillary seems to be doing everything she can to sabotage him

If we were to lose, she CAN'T wiggle out of her guilt
Running a tough campaign is OK

But smearing your opponent is always wrong
RACE-BAITING is DESPICABLE !
Bill and Hillary have race-baited

They STILL ARE
No getting around that

Who re-surfaced this old Obama pastor story again? Who?? A network? A campaign - Hillary or McCain's?? WHO?? AND WHY?? This is OLD news. It came out late last year and Obama repudiated it. He cannot be held responsible for every statement this man makes, can he? Is Hillary held responsible for Bill saying "Depends on what the definition of is, is?" Come on.
DON'T BE DUPED!!!

Large numbers of Republicans have been voting for Barack Obama in the DEMOCRATIC primaries, and caucuses. Because they feel he would be a weaker opponent against John McCain. And because they feel that a Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama ticket would be unbeatable. And also because with a Clinton and Obama ticket you are almost 100% certain to get quality, affordable universal health care very soon.

But first, all of you have to make certain that Hillary Clinton takes the democratic nomination and then the Whitehouse. NOW! is the time. THIS! is the moment you have all been working, and waiting for. You can do this America. “Carpe diem” (harvest the day).

I think Hillary Clinton see’s a beautiful world of  plenty, and comfort for all. She is a woman, and a mother. And it’s time America. Do this for your-self, and your children’s future. You will have to work together on this and be aggressive, relentless, and creative. Americans face an even worse catastrophe ahead than the one you are living through now.

You see, the medical and insurance industry mostly support the republicans with the money they ripped off from you. And they don’t want you to have quality, affordable universal health care. They want to be able to continue to rip you off, and kill you and your children by continuing to deny you life saving medical care that you have already paid for. So they can continue to make more immoral profits for them-self.

Hillary Clinton has actually won by much larger margins than the vote totals showed. And lost by much smaller vote margins than the vote totals showed. Her delegate count is actually much higher than it shows. And higher than Obama’s. HILLARY CLINTON IS ALREADY THE TRUE DEMOCRATIC NOMINEE!

As much as 30% of Obama's primary, and caucus votes are Republicans trying to choose the weakest democratic candidate for McCain to run against. These Republicans have been gaming the caucuses where it is easier to vote cheat. This is why Obama has not been able to win the BIG! states primaries. Even with Republican vote cheating help.

Hillary Clinton has been out manned, out gunned, and out spent 2 and 3 to 1. Yet Obama  has only been able to manage a very tenuous, and questionable tie with Hillary Clinton.

If Obama is the democratic nominee for the national election in November he will be slaughtered. Because the Republican vote cheating help will suddenly evaporate. All of this vote fraud and republican manipulation has made Obama falsely look like a much stronger candidate than he really is. YOUNG PEOPLE. DON’T BE DUPED! Think about it. You have the most to lose.

The democratic party needs to fix this outrage. I suggest a Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama ticket now! Everyone needs to throw all your support to Hillary Clinton NOW! So you can end this outrage against YOU the voter, and against democracy.

I think Barack Obama has a once in a life time chance to make the ultimate historic gesture for unity, and change in America by accepting Hillary Clinton’s offer as running mate. Such an act now would for ever seal Barack Obama’s place at the top of the list of Americas all time great leaders, and unifiers for all of history. But the time to act is soon.

The democratic party, and the super-delegates have a decision to make. Are the democrats, and the democratic party going to choose the DEMOCRATIC party nominee to fight for the American people. Or are the republicans going to choose the DEMOCRATIC party nominee through vote fraud, and gaming the DEMOCRATIC party primaries, and caucuses.

Fortunately the Clinton’s have been able to hold on against this fraudulent outrage with those repeated dramatic comebacks of Hillary Clinton’s. Only the Clinton’s are that resourceful, and strong. Hillary Clinton is your NOMINEE. They are the best I have ever seen.

“This is not a game” (Hillary Clinton)

Obama/Edwards '08
How can the Super Delegates keep their votes?!?  They created this mess, if anyone needs to be sanctioned it is them....  Take their seats away and they may not be sooo interested in breaking the rules in the future.

The re-vote in Michigan sounds fair and a split in FLorida weighted towards Hillary is ok, if the Supers are stripped of their votes...
Hey look another weekend is upon us. It's two days until Sunday. Will you be in church?

Will Obama be in church?

Will they be worshipping at the alter of Africans first, last, and only?

Will the sermon again be upon the evils of the white race?

Will they rail against the evil American empire?

Will they realize that the only place in the world where the could live and worship as they do is in America?

I doubt it.

Obama is not American. He does not have the heart, mind, spirit or the soul of an American.
Barack (No middle name) Obama is our savior.  The Community Activist from Chicago will bring love and peace to the world.  You need to believe every thing he says - please don't ask any questions and just vote Obama '08 and all your worries will be over.  He will even clean the air in the worst 345 counties in America within 24 hours of becoming President.  Just stay tuned to MSNBC and they will tell you all the reasons he is the greatest and why Hillary should pull out of the race.
Just vote Republican J. Merle, that way you can follow in the foot step's of your Idol, Hillary.Your service to America is appreciated, however, in No way does it give You anymore say than any other American.
You don't fool anyone, You were Against rovian style politic's of Fear, You were Against this debacle in Iraq. Let's hope that you have'nt raised Your kid's to beleive that getting Your Way is Acceptable, Screw the Rules & the Law's of America( that You sir, served to Protect).Your admiration for Hillary & her Anything goes, as long it goes My way, is a CROCK OF S--T.
It won't be much longer before America send's her back to the voter's of New York, because We Reject & Denounce Her!In My opinion, her Political career is almost over. Now that New Yorker's have seen the underpinning's of the Goldwater girl, her reelection to the Senate won't come as easy as before.

I'm astounded as to why, once again, American's are being screwed again by Florida voter's.A Democrat introduced the original bill in the State legislature, Knowing that dates were set & any state trying to change would be Punished in some way. With that in mind, Democrat's in Florida still said Screw You America, We're Florida & we're gonna  do this anyway.I'm unaware of how the Michigan vote originated, but they also were Aware of the national rules also & the Consequences.
People are in Prison for breaking the Rules(Laws). Do we let them Out for a do over to see if they would Murder, Rape, Burn Down, Steal, Etc.etc.etc if put in the Same situation. Hell No, we don't.Let the Democratic Nominee deal with the making up to the Florida & Michigan voter in November. Hillary has Lost! There is No pssible way for her to Win Now!The only way is to STEAL the nomination. If That happen's, the Democratic Party is done for, it will no longer exsist, it will become as laughable as the Wig's.

Why Any So called Democratic party leader is letting the Clinton's Tear this party down is beyond any rational train of thought!
J. Merle Stanley, do some FACTUAL research:

Haha, I love these desperate Clinton supporters stretching for anything and everything to try and defile Obama. You guys are latching on to his pastor now? Really?? What's next? "His dog is not house trained? Surely he is unfit to be commander in chief.

Each day I see yet another ridiculous, juvenile attack from that excuse of a campaign I lose just a little more faith in humanity.

Clinton supporter or hater you have to respect Barry for being the bigger person here and continually rising above this mud-slinging madness.
Well, Hillary, your "kitchen sink" finally did Obama in. The "Wright" incident did it. You should be very proud of yourself. I can only hope Mr McCain will be the winner in November. I intend to vote for him. I have heard many people say "she will do anything she has to do to win" and I didn't believe it, but I do now. You just lost my vote and many more.
I've been nagging for weeks for Gore, Richardson, Biden, Carter and Edwards to get off their butts and endorse.  Jaycee expressed it much better. I always look forward to Jaycees posts.  It seems to me that the few who rail against him have angry, frightened personalities.

Hello CA,Tuscaloosa, AL,

I believe I owe you an acknowledgement. I have been one of Barack Obama’s supporters who believed he should have been going after Hillary Clinton with guns blazing. You disagreed right from the get-go. It was your opinion that if Barack was going to run a different type of campaign, he had to be consistent. Well, after watching what has developed since the kitchen sink throwing began, I have to say I am very impressed with the way he has handled it all.

He has shown maturity, dignity and humor. The article about his mother in the NY Times is fascinating. I like what I’m seeing in the midst of this brutal contest. He has remained above the fray just as he promised he would do. Good call on your part.

I’m pulling myself away from politics for a few days. The baseball season is fast approaching. Each March I read a biography about the best of the best baseball players from the old days. I have just started a book about Shoeless Joe Jackson. I can’t wait to get fully engulfed in it. Nothing like reading about America in the early 1900's with players such as Ty Cobb, Tris Speaker, Walter Johnson, Babe Ruth {when he was a pitcher}, Honus Wagner Connie Mack, Nap Lajoie, Chas. Comiskey. It is true - Shoeless Joe Jackson could not read or write (except his name).

I’m hooked!

Anyway, just to repeat - your insights into this campaign have been dead on.

Barack Obama/Jim Webb 2008 - Change -
I think Obama needs to be a Big man now and reach out to Hill and ask her to be VP and end this fighting. I can not stand her but I think this is for the good of the whole. He will look like the Ultimate Uniter and if she says no she will look like the sore loser that she is.
Do it Obama
Who is going to step in?No one!The dems leaders are staying away as to let this play out and let everyone vote. But the vote is now being  used to divided by race and gender.I see who is driving the divide card,Media will not let it go,print won't.pundints won't this is here to stay, and it will long after the election is over.In football when you are the underdog and you know you are overmatched you hope for rain, rain can change the whole game. You can't win by just calling the other team names. We all see that msnbc has some staff that are conservative republicans Dittoheads, there on a  they like seeing what is going on,they admit it.So if you can please stick to the issues .Barack is trying to stay above the mud slinging while to Billery camp  is hoping for a thunder storm.People say this is oh "just polltics and if this is all that it is can anyone tell me why it is this way.
Exaggerations and  Half-Truths

HIllary claims she is the winner in the big-state primaries.

FACT:  She won five of the nine "big state" votes.  Obama won the popular vote in those state by nearly 500,000 votes.

Look behind Hillary's claims for action and performance and you find exaggerations and half-truths, again and again.

Tell a lie often and loud enough and (some) people believe it.
