Rice apologizes to Obama

Posted: Friday, March 21, 2008 11:00 AM by Mark Murray

From NBC's Libby Leist
Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said this morning she has spoken to Obama today to express her regret over the unauthorized passport breaches. She did not know about it until yesterday and could not comment whether any laws were broken

"I told him that I was sorry, and I told him that I myself would be very disturbed if I learned somebody had looked into my passport," she said. "We are very concerned about this."

"We are going to do an investigation through the inspector general, who will get to the bottom of it to make certain nothing ... was going on"

VIDEO: Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice says she will launch a full investigation into the unauthorized inquiry into Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama's passport file.

The State Department is in contact with Obama's office and will provide briefings. "None of us wants to have a circumstance in which any Americans passport file is looked at in an unauthorized way," Rice added.

Here we go again..... headline says "RICE APOLOGIZES TO OBAMA " ... don't see that she did the same with Hillary Clinton.  More special treatment by some sectors of the gov. to/for Obama..... when will Senator Clinton receive the same "special treatment".  Shame, shame on all those folks continuing to stir the pot.  Why  or why  can't everyone just look at the qualifications, the issues and what Clinton and Obama are suggesting for solutions.
How can some of you idiots say that Sen. Obama being upset over some people looking at his passport files is a political tactic?  Are you just that stupid?  How would you like for someone to assess your personal information?

Happens every day Andrea. Every day! Ever fill out a credit card application, get a car loan, get a discount card at the Supermarket, get a mortgage, get a checking account, fill out a job application, buy something off Amazon or e-Bay, fill out a 1040? Do you realize how many people see those forms you feel out? You have more personal information for anyone of these things then you do on a passport.

Obama needs a distraction right now, and this is it.

"What's the big deal? Identity theft or delving into one's personal records might be cause for concern but passports deal with one's origion and travel's which would be public record anyway."

No you fool it have your Social Security Number, your home address, address of loved ones, etc. It’s basically your entire life on record. Would you want someone looking into your personal life? Think about it.
this is to the people that are saying things about what obama said if you are afraid of the truth then don't say anything and just listen because you are making your race even more guilty of the past wrong that they did to the black race and the indians you know your race never had pressure water and dogs and hit in the head with night sticks and hung for being black and trying to stand up for what your race had from the beginning so if you what to say anything about obama and his preacher please explain to every other race why did your race act like they did and they are still acting like that america even the world belong to them now explain that away and maybe the ther races will understand you people
Quote "I am willing to bet that the vast left wing clinton conspiracy was behind the passport "peeks"". You know all three candidates' were breached, what do you have to say NOW? Typical bias toward one candiate that lead to nonsense conclusion. I'm sometimes torned between these two candidates, but one thing that push me away from Obama whenever I start feeling better about him is that he has been created as someone he's not yet while many of his supporters praise him as "saint" and say only bad things about Clintons - I sure do not want to jump on that wagon so I might just stay at home without voting for anyone.
