McCain and Romney, together again

From NBC/NJ's Adam Aigner-Treworgy
McCain will host a $1,000 a plate fundraiser in Salt Lake City today with Mitt Romney, the Salt Lake Tribune reports. Romney will then travel with the McCain campaign to Denver.

"Romney, who dropped out of the race after poor showings in the primaries, received nearly 90 percent of the Utah GOP vote on Feb. 5, while McCain had just 5 percent," the Tribune writes. "Romney is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, as are more than 60 percent of the state's residents.

"While McCain raised about $183,000 from Utahns since January 2007, Romney raised millions. Gov. Jon Huntsman Jr., who has been the subject of media speculation as a possible McCain running mate, will be in attendance, organizers said."

When mittflip and mcbush get together we are all screwed...mitt wants to cut taxes and all social spending to a nub and mcbush wants to get all of our children killed in middle eastern wars...can't wait man
Where is Obama's economic speech?
So that's going to be his "economic guy"

Obama should chose either Webb or Biden
I am an Obama supporter and I agree that the super delegates should vote according to their conscience and based on who is more electable in November. They should not blindly vote based on who wins most pledged delegates.

The reason we have Primary elections is to determine electability in November so guess what, Obama is proving that he is electable, which he has done against Ms. Clinton who was the presumptive nominee up until January. Hillary is the one who is unelectable. She couldnt even win the primaries, how can she win the General Elections. Besides she has the highest disapproval rating of any candidate. 45% of the electorate will never vote for HRC. So she only has a 55% electorate to work with. Both Obama and McCain have disapproval ratings of 26% and 27% respectively. Go figure who is more electable.

Democratic nomination was Hillary's to lose and she is losing it. How can anyone argue that she is more electable in Nov when she screwed up the primaries. It takes strategy and smarts to win elections... different strategies for primaries and general elections. Hillary has failed in the first test, and is now asking us to trust us with a bigger test in November. Obama is a once in a life time candidate who is winning against odds. And those of you who are calling him racist, you really belong in the other party, please vote for McCain whoever the democratic nominee is. I and an Obama supporter but will vote for Clinton, if she is our nominee.
Wow, a McCain/Romney ticket would just be too easy for the Dems. in November. That will go over well with the Conservative agenda.

THESE POLLS ARE SO BIASED ITS PATHETIC.....

Many do not account that if Obama wins the Democratic nomination, the Hillary supporters would cross over to MCain........and that numbers have not been accounted because it would increase in McCains favor way over than Obama....
patty, how can u say u r an obama supporter. you said in an earlier blog the barack is a racist and anti-american? What is your real story? Sounds like u r speaking with forked tongue!
McCain can't pull in any new thinking people, so he goes to Utah where nearly everyone is Republican and will cheer and pat him on the head.  Maybe the band can strike up another energetic round of  "Go Johnny go"  as he dodders around the podium with a confused look on his face.
Why is McWar having so much trouble raising money if he's going to beat Obama so badly in November? There is NO contest between Obama and McWar. McWar is "Old" politics, Obama is "New"; McWar is just plain OLD...how many young people have rushed out to register for the Republican party in order to support this old fart? McWar has a temper that is VOLITAL; Obama is cool, calm and collected. MCWar doesn't have the support of his own Party; Obama crosses over and gets the votes. Obama will beat McCain hands down come Nov.
By the way, Patty, sd,ca, WHEN did you become an Obama supporter? You've been spewing your anti-Obama hatred for weeks now. What turned you around?
Romney on the ticket is a sure guaranteed way for McCain to lose.
That will be my case, sorry OB. McCain seems more trustworthy than you as a talker in my mind. If I could not see HRC as nominee, McCain would get my vote. And I know I am not the only one.

AM I reading this clearly???? Is this really Patty from SD?

What's going on?

Ok, Obama's full economy speech, I don't have. But it appears Bloomberg was pretty supportive of him. Hmmm... Anyhow, I agree with him that at this point the Government should step in and help stem the Mortgage situation. But that plays into the GOP's hands as they will argue that he is a liberal and likes "Big Goverment." They fail to see the importance of government in a country's economy. Don't like the Chinese that much, but look what they've done with their economy.

Enough Said.
If Obama can't take a punch in the primary maybe he should drop out and find a different occupation.

Maybe these superdelegates will lean on McCain to go easy on their man.  Yes, let's make it a gentle election campaign.  Let's forget about the Obama racist ties to Wright and the rest of his blunders as well as his wife's.

Hillary Clinton 2008
Barstool Economics - Dems take notes ...

Suppose that every day, ten men go out for beer and the bill for all ten comes to $100.

If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this:

The first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing.
 The fifth would pay $1.
 The sixth would pay $3.
 The seventh would pay $7.
 The eighth would pay $12.
 The ninth would pay $18.
The tenth man (the richest) would pay $59.

So, that's what they decided to do.

The ten men drank in the bar every day and seemed quite happy with the arrangement, until one day,
the owner threw them a curve.

Since you are all such good customers, he said, 'I'm going to reduce the cost of your daily beer by $20.

Drinks for the ten now cost just $80.

The group still wanted to pay their bill the way we pay our taxes so the first four men were unaffected.

They would still drink for free. But what about the other six men - the paying customers?
How could they divide the $20 windfall so that everyone would get his 'fair share?'

They realized that $20 divided by six is $3.33. But if they subtracted that from everybody's share,    then the fifth man and the sixth man would each end up being paid to drink his beer. So, the bar owner
suggested that it would be fair to reduce each man's bill by roughly the same amount, and he proceeded
to work out the amounts each should pay.

And so:

The fifth man, like the first four, now paid nothing (100%savings).
The sixth now paid $2 instead of $3 (33%savings).
The seventh now paid $5 instead of $7 (28%savings).
The eighth now paid $9 instead of $12 (25% savings).
The ninth now paid $14 instead of $18 (22% savings).
The tenth now paid $49 instead of $59 (16% savings).

Each of the six was better off than before. And the first four continued to drink for free.

But once outside the restaurant, the men began to compare their savings.

'I only got a dollar out of the $20,'declared the sixth man. He pointed to the tenth man,' but he got $10!'

'Yeah, that's right,' exclaimed the fifth man. 'I only saved a dollar, too. It's unfair that he got ten times more than I!'

'That's true!!' shouted the seventh man. 'Why should he get $10 back when I got only two?
The wealthy get all the breaks!'

'Wait a minute,' yelled the first four men in unison. 'We didn't get anything at all. The system exploits the poor!'

The nine men surrounded the tenth and beat him up.

The next night the tenth man didn't show up for drinks, so the nine sat down and had beers without him. But when it came time to pay the bill, they discovered something important.  They didn't have enough money between all of them for even half
of the bill!

And that, boys and girls, journalists and college professors, is how our tax system works.

The people who pay the highest taxes get the most benefit from a tax reduction.

Tax them too much, attack them for being wealthy, and they just may not show up anymore.

In fact, they might start drinking overseas where the atmosphere is somewhat friendlier.

For those who understand, no explanation is needed.
For those who do not understand, no explanation is possible
Hillbill miss spoke, about her trip to bosnia, but what she really did was lie and fabricate a story about the trip to look tough and strong.Whats next I did not have sex with that person. So now her rich supporters will vote GOP if Obama wins, sounds like blackmale to me. Clinton ego will stop at nothing for power.
Bill Clintons daydreaming.................
How will I become the first male/first lady if the GOP continually play my finger-pointing impeachment process on a "loop"?

Obama and his DREAMS.. he offers no proof of any real ideas on how to fix anything. False promises wont fix this nations problems. I dont think Romney is the answer for mccain either. Also whoever things that McCain is Mcbush as you call him and think it will be the same should really read up on all the things McCain disagrees with Bush on, you judge him on the statement " We have to finish this thing in Iraq" Fact is he is right, 1 if you pull out of Iraq there is a chance not only for an iranian invasion to threated Saudis and Israel but just a chance for a break down of the middle east. 2nd Obama just want to pull drops from Iraq and move them afgan soil..... hmmmm thats really bringing them home. As for McCains running mate id like him to choose WEBB from Virginia... yes a democrate to run with him and just get things done right instead of being sticking only to what one party wants.
MSNBC Fair and balanced??

Wright was quoting Ambassador Ed Peck -- PLEASE TELL THIS STORY.  check it out -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JKUTQJfJIfY

the good part starts at 1'20"

I'm still waiting for this piece.
Romney lost cause he was never able to defend his pro-choice stance as MA governor, and he couldn't have won there had he not been pro-choice.  So in both situations, he took the politically correct position in order to compete.   So we have no idea if he has any real principles or what they are.

Do you really think Hillary's supporters would vote for McCain if she loses?  On the surface, I thought "gimme a break".   But listenning to Bill describe McCain so glowingly, its apparent they'd rather have a McCain victory than an Obama win so she could run again in 2012.   Just like why they supported Wesley Clark in 2004 rather than Kerry, so the party would be weaker.  In 2003, Bush's ratings were very high (before the war went sour) and they calculated that a 2004 win was unlikely, so let's back a loser early.  So yes, the Clinton's and some of their supporters would vote McCain over Obama.  Her ambition is more important than 4 more years of Republican control.
McCain/Romney would be a good ticket...at least we'd get a choice that has experience and class to the election..both are sorely missing on the DEM side.  For all of those of you who think Bush has done such a horrible job, I would like for you to consider the two DEM candidates, who are acting like the Donkey that they represent... the DEM House Speaker (Pelosi) and the DEM controlled Congress..and all that they have not done for our country......look at what they ARE doing.....Nothing!!!  Then ask yourselves --WHO IS DOING THE MOST HARM FOR THE COUNTRY.....the answer is obvious...
Mr. 100-year-war, meet Mr. 5-draft-eligible-sons-who-will-never-serve.

I pronounce you an unholy alliance.
HA! You morons are debating which of the three rats would be best to hire as our next leader. A liar, a warmonger and a racist. This is why America is the laughingstock of the world.
You have another alternative. But you will vote party lines and pretend that your choice was important, as if there is a difference between the three MSM approved candidates.

Ron Paul is still in the running, and the lie about McHate having enough delegates will be proven wrong at the national convention. They are not bound to McHate and can still switch to Paul, and as more and more truth comes to light about McHate, this is a very real possibility.

Imagine that... an honest, proven Patriot that has spent his life protecting the constitution, babies, freedom, speech, and individual choice and liberty.

No, guess you are too dumbed down to imagine that. So go back to your Mainstream Media approved RAT.
No Democrat in their right mind will support McCain.

McCain = More War

Dems don't want that, right?

http://thepajamapundit.com/
If American could behave like civil citizens they will united. What is the reason of attacking each other like savages? Politic as a game one must accept defeat and wait for the next game. But Americans have taken too personal. Grow up folks.
I thought it was wonderful we had a woman and person of color running; however, I feel the Democrats have screwed themselves by presenting two such unique candidates at once.  If you wanted to introduce new "ideas" maybe the party should have gone a slower.
McCain should stay away from Mitt, Mitt give him nothing.  McCain has the Western States, Romney is bad Karma
No, Romney will not be VP choice, but he would be offered a good cabinet position.
We can't imagine having the Clinton's back in the white house nor do we want someone wanting us to stay in Irag as long as it takes!!  OBAMA is our only real hope for change!!
Romney is there so that it appears that McCain can be a conservative.  Is he really one?  That depends upon who you talk to.  It does seem like McCain is getting some coservatives to line up behind him so that he can make a good showing among the reactionary right wingers.
I'll take McCain over Obama ANY day ANYTIME. Idon't want a racist, Anti-American for President.

Are you the one and the same person who is posting these comments on first read. If so, why the change in heart of saying you're an Obama supporter now?
Maria Christine, Richardson,TX...the only supporters from Hillary's camp that would cross over to McCain are the stupid ones and they are not Democrats they are Republicans in disquise.  And, it still wouldn't be enough to cause Barack Obama to lose.
I am an Obama supporter...

patty,sd,ca

Hey Patty it sure is nice to have you as an Obama supporter.  Welcome.  I won't denounce you for all of the hate that you have said in the past regarding OUR candidate.

You really think Hillary supports are going to go for 4 more years of a Republican in the Whitehouse!? They might be angry now and it shows in the polls, but unless McCain does a complete 180 on some of his recent positions there is no way he is going to steamroll either Democratic Candidate. And by the why (to Cliton Supports) what happened to uniting instead of dividing? Are you really going to vote against Obama in a general, with your jobs, houses and security at stake? Really!?
