Bill: Praising McCain

Posted: Thursday, March 27, 2008 7:04 PM by Domenico Montanaro

From NBC’s Kristin Wilson
To a crowd of enthusiastic college students at Dickenson College in Carlisle, Pa., including more than a handful of Obama supporters in T-shirts and waving signs, Bill Clinton told the crowd why his wife would make the best president.

And, in a move that's becoming more and more common, he favorably aligned his wife with the presumptive Republican nominee, John McCain.

"We now have a bipartisan majority in the U.S. Senate, bipartisan, to do something about global warming and do more buildings like this,” Clinton said, “because she and John McCain took reluctant Republicans all over the world and showed them how the planet was changing. She will work with anybody, go anywhere, do anything to move America forward.”

More Bill: "I'm always a little apprehensive when I get up to speak," he said. "I think, you know, people are gonna be kinda looking at me saying, 'I better discount about half of what he says. I mean, they're married, he's gotta say that or he can't go home tonight.'

After looking off stage, shrugging and raising his eyebrows, he concluded, "And you know, there could be some truth to that."

As an American who has been living overseas for the past 6 years I can tell you that this presidential race has garnered the attention of the world.  We are at an historical crossroads in American history with an ever increasing complex and changing global landscape.

That being said, I propose it is extremely important we choose a president who can build alliances and bring people together as well as nations. I truly believe in this "great experiment" that is America. In no other nation in the history of mankind have so many different races, ethnicities and religions come together to work to become a unified people. And that's why the actions of the Clintons have troubled and alarmed me during this campaign.  The Clintons have consistently shown that the game of politics is paramount to them and they are the masters. However, this old way of doing politics will doom us as a nation especially at this critical juncture in history.

Let us also be certain on this fact, that the Clintons are hated by the right and have made far too many enemies in Washington DC to be effective in governing. If Hillary were to become president they would do all within their power to stop any legislation, policy, or initiatives put forth by her administration and we would further sink into the quagmire of divisive politics 24 years of a Bush-Clinton White House have led us to currently in our great nation. When I think of the current situation, I am reminded the Montagues and the Capulets of Romeo and Juliet the two warring families whose pride and hatred of each other consumed their very own. For myself Hillary is exactly what we do not need right now, there needs to be a break from the past. We don’t need another politician in the White House.
Way to support the democratic party Bill...
obama a "uniter" i can see that in his back ground,he received that gift from his pastor.

My Catholic Priest went to jail because he molested little boys.  I fail to see how anyone can “brand” me a child molester because I am a long time member and supporter of my priest and my Catholic Church.  My priest officiated at my wedding and baptized my four children.

Mr. Obama’s dilemma is that he is a black man seeking national elected office in racist America.  The very liquid logic of  Sherry Sewell and the Fox fake news network highlights this duplicity.

Thousands of priests and pastors engage in misconduct all over America.  No one anywhere has ever associated a member of a Catholic congregation to their bishop’s misconduct.  Only a black member of a black church is entitled to this special treatment.

Mr. Wright’s speech is protected by the US Constitution.  He is also protected by the separation clause that separates church and state.  To deny Mr. Obama your vote based solely on his pastor’s venting is patently unfair.

What you are saying is that it is ok to molest little boys, but the legal exercise of free speech demands retribution.  Molesting little boys is a lot worse than the phrase “God dam America” Even in his most virulent moments, Mr. Wright broke no laws.

As an American, I am a lot angrier at the holy rolly pastor who disrupts the internment ceremonies of our fallen heroes, than any rant of Bishop Jeremiah Wright.

Singling out Mr. Obama for special treatment because of a media generated circus, radically underscores Mr. Wright’s basic complaint.  That America is not a fair place and that white America is basically genetically unfair.
You have misspelled the name of the college.  It's Dickinson College, named after John Dickinson.  It was the first college founded in the newly established republic of the United States of America.
And Bill said to the assembled crowd, Pray after me:
"Please God, protect Her from misspeak,
Because it shows that She is weak,
That there may be a lieing streak,
Please God, protect Her from misspeak."
I don't know if it's really happening this way but as the days wear on, it certainly seems this way. Tim Russert said the other night on Nightly News that he spoke to people in the Clinton campaign and those people told him that they know they can't win the nomination and don't care. Their goal now is to make Obama look so bad he couldn't possibly win in the general against McBush. If that is what the Clintons are up to, I hope after this election is over, the leaders of the Democratic Party completely cut Billary out of the party for good. They are divisive and have a major problem with "Misspeaking' and embelishment. They already are a disgrace and a laughing stock and I think New Yorkers should boycott the 'Monster' when her senate seat comes up for re-election. Hillary Clinton is no good for the Party and no good for the people.
Like I said last week, the Clintons seem to be saying that their second choice for president is John McCain. Now that Hillary has promised a credentials fight at the convention, and Bill is heaping praise on McCain, it makes me wonder. Will she support the Democratic ticket if she is not on it?
Hill Billary has sp low level........
Human level.
Moral.

I can't beleive there are many people, who ealy listen his trash....
They better do, then they will know - it allbelongs to trash can.
How com?
How come this Great Country to so trashy people to operate our wills and beleives.

Thid clown will do and say anything to get his wife back in the white house. The Billary couple is now targeting 2012 knowing well that 2008 is out of reach. They are making sure that Obama is not in the whitre house so they can try again in 2012.
With all these superlative accolades the Clitons are dishing out for McCain, one wonders if HRC is promoting herself as VP candidate for the GOP if she doesnt get the Democratic nomination. Is this Billary's plan 'B'?
"I think, you know, people are gonna be kinda looking at me saying, 'I better discount about half of what he says..."

You're too modest, Bill. We discount what you say by far more than 50%.
What IS the message from the Clinton camp? Is Hillary a fighter or is she a uniter? Is she equal to McCain or is she better than everyone? Is this her run for a first term or Bill's run for a third term?

The spinning, the lying, the manipulating...it's maddening.

Obama gave an outstanding speech on the economy.  Obama would do a great job as president.  But, it has come down to voters in PA, NC and IN.  If they decide to vote for the candidate best positioned to side-step Washington politics and get things done for us, then their choice has to be Obama.

America will start winning again.

And, on Florida and Michigan, the Obama camp has always said they will abide by any decision the DNC and the state reps work out. Let me repeat it… Obama said he will abide by ANY decision! On the other hand, the Clinton camp said they want the delegated to be seated. In Michigan, Obama’s name wasn’t even on the ballot.

These crocodile tears are so apparent, it is shameful. When she really needed New Hampshire to rescue her flagging campaign, Hillary herself had said, “Michigan and Florida votes will not count” since they had moved up their dates to compete with Iowa and New Hampshire. She has done a complete 360 on this, and now argues it does not make sense not to count their votes.

How opportunistic?

The Hillary camp offers Americans nothing but cheap political calculations and maneuvers. Simply put, Hillary will say and do anything to get elected. Look at her Bosnia, Ireland accord and NAFTA lies….fudging her resume to boost a non-existent “experience”.

I have no problem with Hillary continuing to fight for her party’s nomination. What I have a problem with, however, is this effort to lie, cheat and deceive her way in to the White House.

People, wake up and smell the coffee!
Hillary and John McCain "took reluctant Republicans all over the world and showed them how the planet was changing?"   Funny, I thought that was Al Gore's accomplishment.  GIVE ME A BREAK, BILL!  Talk about fairy tales.
Bill Clinton sounds like a man that owes his wife dearly for not leaving him during time of crisis. Even Bill doesn't believe half the things he says about Hillary, but the man is indebted. Anyway, when you seek the truth, who better to seek it from the Bill Clinton. Please !
McCain/Clinton 2000 and never.
I like how Bill continues to put Hillary up on a pedestal, knowing that she hasn't done crap in the Senate. Come on Bill, get real buddy, Hillary is no different than any other Washington pol.

How can anyone listen to this man and belive anything he has to say? Have people actually forgotten the Clinton years and scandals associated to it....wake up people
Bill should be at home preparing for the lawsuit against him and Hillary that the media is not discussing.
Bill and Hillary both need to go on over to McCain's camp. I am sick of him and her praising John McCain. How the Democratic Superdelgates continue to put up with this just blows my mind.
Is Bill trying to say that Hillary will be running against McCain?  It would be more prudent to get back to reality.  If you don't pay attention to the primary you may just lose Pennsylvania.

Wait, that is just what I want to happen.  Keep stumping against Sen. McCain, Bill, and forget about Sen. Obama.
Once again, the Clinton's are aligning themselves with John McCain and completely discounting Barack Obama.  It's more of the same.....do whatever it takes to win the nomination...They dont' realize they are tearing the party apart.  She wants to speak on unifying the party once the primaries are over, but I just don't see how that's going to happen if things keep up this way
It's time to ride off into the sunset Bill back to Hope, Arkansas. I hear the weather is pretty nice there this time of year.

Richardson says it's time to end this. Pelosi and Reid obviously feel it's time to end this. Dodd stated yesterday it is time to end this. Uncommitted Superdelegates are getting jumpy and we can expect many more to endorse Obama before the PA primary. It is time to end this.
IF YOU CANT BEAT HIM JOIN HIM
Sorry to bug you NBC's Kristin Wilson, but it's Dickinson College, not Dickenson College.

And seriously... I would NOT be surprised if Hillary Clinton and John McCain appeared together and started making out with each other.  They have been rhetorically making out for weeks.

Well, the Clinton side has anyway.  McCain seems to shrug it off.

Doesn't this bother any of you Democrats out there?

http://thepajamapundit.com/
Campaign death throes...can you hear them?  I think Sen. Casey heard them and endorsed the real best candidate.
Why doesn't Hillary just move over to the Republican side and continue her love fest with McBush there? She is certainly not going anywhere in the Democrat party.
Does anyone else feel sorry for this man?
Bill Clinton was the best Republican President ever!!
Bill Clinton, whom I enthusiastically voted for in 1996, has become a very flawed surrogate to Hillary Clinton.  Please Bill, this say anything to get in the white house (or perhaps Hillary's bedroom) is really getting monotonous.  Today's voters need more substance than what the Clintons are offering.  We need someone who really is working in the best interest of the country, not their own.  I have seen throughout this campaign that the Clintons will indeed do or say anything to get back in power and that does not suit our interest as a country who is stuck in a critical economic peril with no light at the end of the tunnel in sight.  Please, Hillary, for the benefit of the Democratic Party, step down now before you completely wreck the ship!
OBAMA ON HARDBALL COLLEGE TOUR:

Obama will be on the Hardball College Tour this coming Wednesday night in PA. Everyone should watch. There is little doubt that he will be very comfortable and calm and intelligent and successful. Watch how he relates to the young people. The students will just love him. It will be a great show.
