Can we disect the population even more?  Is Clinton leading with right-handed supers?  Is she leading among supers who are under 6 feet tall?  This is getting ridiculous.
Good God.  You guys are willing to go to any length to push this story, aren't you?

Check how many of the Clinton endorsements have DNC next to them.  Veeery interesting.
And all of these Jewish "Supers" probably backed Clinton when she was supposed to be the "inevitable" nominee. Obama has picked up each one slowly but surely as they have gotten to know what an incredible leader this man can be.

The fact that soooooooo many "Supers" have NOT endorsed HRC sends a message loud and clear that NOT everyone is in love with the idea of having the Clintons in the White House for another 4 years.

I don't know what this particular story blip is supposed to be saying. Is this another MSM attempt at 'stirring' the pot with meaningless statistics??

Obama '08
WHY is MSNBC not letting us hear Sen Casey endorse OBama????  Cut the talking heads and let us hear a US Senator endorse the next President of the US!
"White Man's Greed"
Obama's very first service at Wright's church was ... controversial.
By Mickey Kaus
Updated Thursday, March 27, 2008, at 7:47 PM ET
On his radio show yesterday, Hugh Hewitt played excerpts of Barack Obama reading from his autobiography, Dreams of My Father. In one, Obama remembers a sermon by Rev. Jeremiah Wright:

[T]he pastor described going to a museum and being confronted by a painting title Hope.

"The painting depicts a harpist," Revernd Wright explained, "a woman who at first glance appears to be sitting atop a great mountaintop. Untill you take a closer look and see that the woman is bruised and bloodied, dressed in tattered rags, the harp reduced to a single frayed string. Your eye is then drawn down to the scene below, down to the valley below, where everywhere are the ravages of famine, the drumbeat of war, a world groaning under strife and deprivation.

It is this world, a world where cruise ships throw away more food in a day than most residents of Port-au-Prince see in a year, where white folks' greed runs a world in need, aprtheid in one hemisphere, apathy in another hemisphere ... That's the world! On which hope sits."

And so it went, a meditation on a fallen world. While the boys next to me doodled on their church bulletin, Reverend Wright spoke of Sharpesville and Hiroshima, the callousness of policy makers in the White House and in the State House. ... [E.A.]

Sounds ... controversial! Keep in mind: a) Obama isn't disapproving of this sermon. In the book he weeps at the end of it; b) Demonstrating that at least some blaming of "white greed" for the world's sins--which Obama now criticizes-- isn't an exceptional topic for Rev. Wright in a few wacky sermons ("the five dumbest things") that Obama may or may not have missed. It's at the quotidian core of the Afrocentric philosophy that Obama says drew him to the church; c) Indeed, in his big Feb. 18th race speech Obama reads the passage from his book that describes his emotional reaction to this very sermon (his "first service at Trinity")--how it made "the story of a people" seem "black and more than black." d) This is also the sermon that gave Obama the title of his next book, The Audacity of Hope. e) The "profound mistake" of this sermon is not that Wright "spoke as if our society was static"--Obama's analysis on Feb. 18th. The problem is that "white folks' greed" is not the main cause of a "world in need."

I'm not saying voters shouldn't cut Obama a lot of slack on Wright's anti-white fulminations. But the Senator should have spoken up publicly against the semi-paranoid "white greed" explanation a long time ago, no? And he could show a little humility. Again, this wasn't the occasion for him to be lecturing everyone else. ..
Domenico-

Can't you post something more interesting than these silly inflammatory items?  I swear, your Clinton bias is reprehensible.
This seems to reflect Clinton's support in CA and NY plus her historical (i.e., suppport from prior to this Democratic primary process) support from old-line DNC people.

She has had many of these DNC people since before these primaries started...this is what Obama has had to overtake (and clearly he is...the trend in superdelegates in general has been all-Obama for a long time now).

It would be curious to profile superdelegates for Clinton and Obama based on WHEN they endorsed (or otherwise indicated a preference).  I think we would see that most of Clinton's SDs (especially among non-elected officials) were hers at the beginning and they have just stayed put.  And Obama's have been garnered this primary season.

To me that is significant.

Obama for President 08
Patty SD, CA - Impressive post!  For you.
Also.........let's add.........Do you see how many "Supers" are from her state of New York??? 12 out of the total 36. Shouldn't they be supporting her??

Let's get real here. Give us numbers we care about.
I suspect that this story is the media's, not so sneaky, attempt to coax Obama into signing Bloomberg on as VP.  Did anyone else pick up on that?  I've thought a military man such as Dodd or Webb would be best,  but who knows...  Obama and his staff will weigh everything and then decide.
Another sly attempt to divide us.  Not this time!  We have a man who will stand up for ALL of us.  Obama '08
Some of these people listed are not Jewish.  Just goes to show Domenico's bias towards Hillary; let alone the validity of the list.
But Clinton still supports Billy Graham who publically denounced the Jewish religion. How come by association she has not been held as a jewish hater.
Of course she will win the Jewish vote.  Jews are smart and the chosen people.
This is to Patty sd,ca.  I posted earlier but was too late.  Patty, I am basically an idealist who tries to believe the best in people.  I've been pretty disillusioned at people in general during this primary nominating process. (though I've also shot my mouth off too much)  When I read your post yesterday praising Obama, my spirits rose quite a few notches.  I can believe in people again.  Incidentally...I always suspected you were a good kid at heart.
Sincerly,  Bonnie
Look how many Jewish Clinton superdelegates are WOMEN: 20 out of 36. Look how many superdelegates are from New York: 12 out of 36. These data tell us nothing, other than women and New Yorkers are more likely to support Clinton. Big Surprise.
I mean this is really crazy, let's separate by Catholic, Mormon, and Seventh Day Adventist as well? What the hell!!
Understanding Mrs. Clinton

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB120663639483768965.html?mod=todays_columnists

It appears there are some valid mental issues with Mrs.Clinton chronic lying. Rather than running for President maybe Bill should take better care of his wife and give her the proper help she needs.

SHAME ON YOU BILL !
As the commenters above have pointed out 1) 12 of Clintons Jewish supers are from NY 2) Another 12 are from the DNC 3) This is a ridiculously small subpopulation to try and draw any conclusions from.

I love First Read and generally think the commentary here is sound, but this is an utterly ridiculous post. You should be ashamed of yourself.
I am truly surprised he has that many Jewish delegates since he hates them. Now the Italians will also have to take a closer look at this Obama racist. He is proving to be a BIG lier. Dems picked the WRONG candidate yet again.
Here is a link to an eloquent essay that needs to be read: 'My Neighbor, Barack', by Rabbi Arnold Jacob Wolf:

http://www.israpundit.com/2008/?p=586

Read the comments that follow it to see the kind of arguments that are used to keep Jewish delegates in Hillary's camp.
DUMB, da dumb dumb. McCain will win in November because the leftwing of the dem party shoved this Obama guy down our throats. Sickening. I just won't vote, for the first time in my adult life.
Of course the true saddness is that once Hillary has taken down the party with her thinking that Obama is taking away what is rightly hers (NOT), and thus insured the 3rd term of GeorgeW, she'll blow whatever future she had in the senate.  She'd have made a much better Senate Majority that Harry Reid.
You Obamaites[bots, heads, take yer pick],are confused. Obama COULD have had nearly all Jewish Supers locked up had not the idiotic comments of his Wrightwinged pastor not gotton in the way. The guilt-by-association ties to anti-Semite Calypso Louie Farrakhan do not help matters. Then too,the Jews are fully aware of adviser McPeak and Powers pro-Palestinian leanings, amply dissected in H'AARETZ and the Jerusalem Post.
ALTHOUGH NOT JEWISH, LEAHY JUST SAID CLINTON SHOULD WITHDRAW!
In other breaking news...

Obama leads in pledged delegates, states won, and the popular vote. This makes the Jewish Superdelegates seem pretty irrelevant.

http://www.politivine.com
At the risk of showing my ignorance here, I'll ask the following question: Maria Echeveste is a Jewish superdelegate?

I actually agree with patty for once.
Wow way to unite the party Domenico. Good job, next maybe we can seperate the delegates by hair and eye color. How about we point out all those SDs who have 1 leg slightly shorter than the other and figure out who will win based on who they back?
What happen to all the super delegates that supported Obam, in the Rev. Wright situation?  I didn't see the Kennedy's, Kerry's or the others join in supporting him.  Maybe they are realizing the mistake they made!
To Joe in MD...

Jeremiah Wright is old news...move on.
Joe, Barack Obama said he's heard controversial things from the pastor. Get over it. Your race baiting and it's not going to work
This is totally skewed.  Look at many of them are from NY, Clinton's home state.  They should also eliminate the FL and MI ones from the list because they cannont vote.
Are there any reformed orthodox druids that are super delegates?  If so please poll them, now!!  What are you waiting for.  America needs to know...
I'm surprised that Obama has that many considering Pastor Wright, the Black Panthers, Louis and the boys, and many of the other anti-Jewish and pro Palestinians that support him.
Count me amongst the 28% of Dems:

Hillary or NOBODY in 08!

No Mccain - No Obama!
Patty you are right this is ridiculous. she is leading among suppers period. Does it matter their faith???This is either an attempt tp further divide teh voting in this election or like someone else said a way to coax Obama into choosing Bloomberg for the Jewish vote. i think that is ridiculous to assume that he would choose Bloomberg to pander to a relatively small voting block. Obama needs foreign policy experience on his ticket, I think he can take care of sounding experinced on economic policies w/o having to also pander to teh Jewish population.
People is people amd if people of the Jewish faith see Obama as a strong leader who can represent thier interests than they will vote for him. Ohterwise......More Bush!!
14 are Supers from the DNC who have had relationships with the Clintons since the 90s.  11 are New Yorkers who basically have to support Hillary.  Also, someone pointed out the key here, which is that so many Supers are undecided and did not come out and support the HRC inevitability narrative.  Also, I know a couple of these Supers and I can safely say that they are leaning Obama but aren't endorsing until they have to because of their positions.
man Obama sidestepped those questions from elizabeth on the view.  He is so not electable.  Americans will not trust him for his judgement on this pastor thing
Listen up superdelegates!  I am one 50 year old white Jewish female that will be casting my vote for Senator Obama for President in November.  Come on and join me.

Obama 08
Obama if nominated will loose florida because Jews will not support him, they will move from Hillary to McCain...
Well, that might be the numbers, however, NY is certainly heavily weighted in this area with 11 delegates and they really have no choice but to go with Hillary. Unlike Bill Richardson who had a choice because he never compromised hiw situation for personal gains this is not so with the NY Jewish superdelegates. Trust Me....It was just a business deal!
who cares. MSNBC should stop trying to turn this into an ethnic race. who cares if the super-delegates are black, white, jewish, hispanic, chinese, & so on.

WHO CARES!!!!!!

It's time for Hillary to hang-up the gloves & mask.
Quote of the Day from Obama on ABC the VIEW: "Had the reverend not retired and had he not acknowledged that what he had said had deeply offended people and were inappropriate and mischaracterized what I believe is the greatness of this country, for all its flaws, then I wouldn't have felt comfortable staying there at the church," the senator said.

Bhawaaha. Slick Barry at work again.
MSNBC, please note, that a majority (12) are from New York.
MOST OF THEM PROMISED THE CLINTONS THAT IF SHE RAN THEY WERE WOULD BACK HER IF EVERYBODY REMEMBERS SHE WAS A SHOE IN THE BEGINING. I BET NOW THEY WISHED THEY HADN'T SHE STARTED WITH 100
I'm waiting for the all-telling breakdown of Lutheran superdelegates.
WHY ARE WE STILL TALKING ABOUT HILARY CLINTON AND NON ISSUES?

Stop talking about peoples religion and start talking about REAL ISSUES with the GENERAL ELECTION NOMINEES.

Hillary is already OUT and anything that she says is IRRELEVANT.

Geez, I feel like I am reading/listening to a broken record on repeat.

Listen up superdelegates!  I am a young 28 year old African American female that will be casting my vote for Senator Clinton for President in November.  Come on and join the Dem true base.

Clinton 2008 and 2012
Patty from Sd I almost never agree with you on most of your statements ,but I have to say that we are in 100% agreement. This is just stupid news, this one is really grasping for straws. The more I read of Mr Montanaros work the more I wonder. Why is he a reporter this is just silly irresponsible news at it's best. His next piece will be how many Super Delegates that eat pickled pigs feet that are supporting Hillary versus Obama.
