There's a slip...

Posted: Friday, March 28, 2008 1:31 PM by Domenico Montanaro

From NBC's Domenico Montanaro
Think this will make Jon Stewart?

Clinton supporter Joe Sestak was on with NBC's Andrea Mitchell during the 1 pm MSNBC hour, and slipped in one response. Mitchell asked him if he was concerned that if this fight goes to convention that it could tear apart the party.

Sestak replied that he's not, that he's confident that if Obama were to lose the nomination, he'd turn around and say, "Support her." And if Clinton were to lose the nomination, she would turn around and say, "Support me."

Whoops.

Shaking his head, Sestak quickly corrected: "Support him."

We know what he meant, but still funny.

Typical Clinton "misspeak" but I think he really meant it, just like she would have meant it.
SPEAKING OF SLIPPING... did you see the latest Gallup poll?  Obama is now 8 POINTS a head.  Whoa.
OMG, I saw that.  I was watching in my kitchen (eating lunch).  I was laughing so hard.  I said, that man was right the first time!

Obama for President 08
There are scattered reports that say Hillary has been talking to McCain and Romney about possible VP.
No, really....that's IS what she would say!
and this is news because....right to bash hilary.

wait, how about a blunder by obama supporter about not knowing anything regarding his stance of issues? right, we all know that already. pretty common actually.
I'll write in Clinton in November if she doesn't get the Nomination.

Clinton 08
This was no mispeak. He meant exactly what he said.   LOL!!
That was cool!!
I didn't have bad taste on Obama 2 months ago. But now I do. Especially
after seeing Obama-kissers' cult like behaviors (including those on this site). I will vote McCain in Nov if Obama is the nominee. Anyone who are saying McCain is Bush III is lying. I would not be surprised if McCain called himself a Democrat. So I don't think voting McCain is voting Neo Conservative.
Please....Andrea>>>Your husband works for the Clinton campaign how can you be bies when your hubbys job is on the line.Couldn't msnbc find someone that isn't tied to her campaign to ask questions

First Read is a disgrace.  Seriously.  Can you at least be open about your endorsement of Obama?  Oh yeah, that's right...journalists and the media are supposed to remain neutral, so that would probably be frowned upon.  Sadly, like right-wing talk radio, I am addicted, mostly because I'm a masochist and because reading the comments of Obama supporters strengthens my resolve to vote against him.  Anyone who can inspire that much hate against a group of people who disagree with them (i.e., Hillary supporters) is not someone I want leading my country.

And one more point I'd like to make is that the fact that Obama supporters accuse people who choose not to support him of being "racist" is proof positive that Obama is not a "post-racial" candidate.  He has played the race card effectively, which is evident by the posts of his supporters.

I support Hillary, but it's not because I'm racist.  I support her because I think she is the right person to lead the U.S. in these very challenging times.  Contrary to public opinion, Obama is not the second-coming of Jesus...so quit saying things like "the darkness is lifted."  It just makes you look foolish.

For those of you who wish to blame Hillary for the mess that the Democratic Party is in right now, point your fingers elsewhere.  The DNC, with its stupid, convoluted, backwards way of doing things, has effectively put the party in the crapper.
I believe that Clinton has proved to be a tough campaigner. As an Obama supporter I appreciate her standing up for what she believes in. I believe that she is a Democrat at heart and will fight to the end for the well being of the party. That said, I welcome her support for Obama in the general election.
There's a Freudian slip for you.
Pennsylvania..Join the Movement!

Clinton is forcing her supporters to sound more and more ridiculous.  Sestak (Says-Stuck) was on Hardball with Chris Matthews trying to convince us that Clinton's Bosnia mis-speak was not a lie! The other exagerations on Ireland, Macedonia, Whitewater, Lewinsky, and on and on, were "mis-speaks" as well?

Barack Obama has built a grass-roots movement that is powerful enough to strengthen Speaker Pelosi's rejection of the Clinton fat cats.

Could you imagine the embarrassment of having the same fat cats paying for the Michigan redo primary like they planned?  Barack showed remarkable judgment in rejecting that idea, at great cost to the political fallout that Clinton heaped upon him.

Obama/Webb '08
Is SILLERY THAT selfish?! YES!
Yeah...right.
Well, at least SOMEONE in the Clinton campaign speaks the truth.
Don, you are severely mistaken if you think McCain is not Bush III.  Sure, he may be a little liberal on social issues which will play NO role in his Presidency, but he is Bush III on taxes, and Bush III on the War in Iraq.  And this is coming from a Hillary Clinton supporter.  Any true Democrat would NEVER support John McCain.
Clinton is in this for herself and Bill. Why else would she have stayed with a philandering husband? She is so power hungry she will lie, lie, lie just to make herself look good. She worked hard for Nafta in Bill's administration and now says she was against it. She lies about her "experience" and makes up stories about sniper fire in Bosnia, and she lies about her support for the Iraq War. On top of that, she diminishes Barack by saying he hasn't passed the Commander in Chief threshold. According to Hillary, either she wins the nomination or McCain should be president. Wake up superdelegates...she will destroy our chances in November.
I saw that same thing on a post at Huffington?  If its true Jamie - I'm gonna be ticked!!  I voted for her, but that would be ridiculous.  I thought Lieberman was with Mccain?  This is just getting crazy.
Voice of Reason, Mr. Zestak was on the other day discussing Hillary Clinton after her Bosnia lie, IMO he answered those questions worse then today it just wasn't talked about.

As an Obama supporter, I like his stance on Universal Health Care, he didn't support the War and Hillary Clinton voted for it, he has a good plan for the economy, I like his stance on college funding.  There are many reasons to support Senator Obama and he is the winner.

If you were won of those people who thought Bush got selected instead of elected, I don't understand how you could support Hillary Clinton.
As Larry the Cable Guy would say, Now that there's funny.  C'mon folks it's alright to chuckle, however the comment was not worthy of a guffaw.
No, he was serious, and that's the scary thing about Obama supporters.
They think the freaking world owes them a living and they think they're going to get all sorts of "free stuff" if "Pimp Daddy B" becomes Prez.
Freudian

He was right the first time.

Don in PA; Just WHAT about McWar isn't a third Bush term? His stance on Iraq? His stance on the economy, oh wait a minute, he doesn't have one....great for our economy to spend 12 Billion dollars a month on a war that we never should have gone into, doesn't it?
So if you've like the last 7 years, go ahead and vote for 4 more just like them.
Freudian Slip:

An inadvertent mistake in speech or writing that is thought to reveal a person's unconscious motives, wishes, or attitudes.
Hellloooo! Andrea Mitchell has been a republican for years. Andrea, and Chris Matthew, Howard Fineman and Tim Russert were the group that slammed Hillary for no reason before, during and after the second debate. Of course the Obama supporters would never remember that.
I hate MSNBC- the only logical one is Pat Buchanan Believe it or not
Please MSNBC Keep Andrea out of asking questions, she is not good at it, and she is bias to Hillary Clinton. The best part you can tell just by listening to her.
It's called a 'Freudian slip'

Ususally, these things reveal the true feelings
clinton misspoke, hilary misspoke, chelsea misspoke, the surrogates are misspeaking. that shows that the clinton titanic is slowing sinking, and the supers are jumping ship!! Obama 08
OMG!!

Illegitimate Nominee-Florida-Michigan....??

HILLARY SENSE VS OBAMA SENSE... In the fall general election.

Here is some sense to help make sense, 28 percent of Clinton backers said they will vote for McCain, and 19 percent of Obama backers say they will vote for McCain if their preference does not win the Nomination.

OK so lets look at Obama's 19 percent, most are black... that's just the way it is.  The Republicans are not going to get their vote anyway....

Hillary's 28 percent are almost all white, or really not black.  The Republicans could very well peel off those votes.

The Democrats are famous for Nominating far left Liberals, and losing general elections.

Maybe the above info will help some of you to understand why.

John McCain 08

an X-Democrat.

PS the reason North Carolina, is dangerous ground for Clinton is 50 percent of the Democratic voters in North Carolina are black, yes 50%, so Obama starts out of the gate with half of the vote.

They can't save him in the General Election, because of the Red States (all across the South) and also because of the above as I have tried to point out.... Hillary voters vs Obama voters, different demogratphics that's why it's so powerful.......

With my strategey Hillary or McCain, really does look like a winning one.

One final question, does Obama become the **illegitimate Democratic Nominee,** if the votes of Florida and Michigan don't count?

For all Obama's *talk* of fair play his actions mirror GWB in 2000, only the Democratic Party would take votes away from *election deciding states* like Florida and Michigan.

Folks the black vote will not carry Obama in the fall, like I said, there is a long history of nominating left wing Liberals, and losing elections...

X-Democrat

Poor Hillary.  She stayed with a philandering husband hoping to ride his coat-tails into the highest postion in the land....and is having it taken away from her.  Sometimes I feel sorry for her...it does kinda suck.
i don't think that was a slip.  All for One (Hillary) and One for One (Hillary)!
Chuck Todd, this message is for you.

The ending statements on your article about it being too early for Clinton to drop out were quite naive. I don't for a moment believe that any one person can lead the free world by themselves, and if any of these candidates believe that they can, they need to be institutionalized. A president, as any leader, should not be selfish, they should be selfless. No one who is selfish can, by definition, be a leader. Instead, leaders should be servants. Since this is a representative republic, it takes all branches of government, and all individuals who comprise those branches, to make a government run effectively. It is attitudes such as yours that make our politicians today forget who they work for: us.
can one of the clinton supporters please give me a reason they dislike obama based upon truth, without the misrepresented rhetoric that they immerse themself in and call it legitimate facts. i just would like one clinton fan to tell me something they know as a fact and not some baloney they have been told or spin the have read. i just have yet to see something posted of truth by one clinton supporter that justifies believing that they have done research at one nuetral information site or source.

i don't fall for the rev. wright issue. those are wright's words not obama's. that would be like saying bill slept with monica so hillary was a part of a threesome. that doesn't wash.

please just give me a justifiable reason reason beside being emotionally attached to your candidate and believing whatever is said by the clinton's or the media.
Yeah...saw that and laughed out loud!

He probably just has Post Traumatic Truth Dissorder from serving in combat with HRC.
Don, PA (Sent Friday, March 28, 2008 1:43 PM)

That logic is retarded. Who cares who you vote for? You are voting for McCain b/c you don't like Obama supporters. I see why Clinton's supporters are comprised of the most least educated people in society!!
I am a republican and if Obama gets the nomination I will voted for McCain.I think it is time people start to listen to the differences in the candiates. I also would have left a churc if my minister was like that instead of hearing him run my coubtery down. I wonder if all the cacus states would have voted for him after they heard the remarks. W need a true American for President
Mr. Sestak,

It depends how Hillary would win the nominee. If it were fair and square, Mr. Oabam would back her a 100%, and tell his followers to doe the same. But, if she were to steal the nominee, forget about it.

I don't think she will back Obama when nominated.

Why do the bloviate bloggers insist that negativity is what is killing the Democrats...

... but then post this anti Clinton mysogenistic crap?

As Democrats we should be proud of the fact that we have 2 highly intelligent candidates, BOTH speaking out about failed Republican policies and failed Republican candidates.

Remember that McMoron had to be reminded by an ex-Democrat/Independent(Lieberman) the difference between Sunnis & Shia.

Remember that this Republican "maverick" & hypocrite  calls National Healthcare socialistic while using his Congressional, Govt sponsored Healthcare to keep him kicking at 71 yrs. old!

Go Dems... do not let the cable media drive us into the divide!
As much as I dislike the Clinton supporters who try to say the polls means something one day and the next day they say they mean nothing.  Or that we shouldn't disenfranchise voters but we should let the Supers exercise independent judgment. I think Joe did misspeak.  Poor guy, he knows where his heart stands.
j, there all in the tank for Obama it's sickening.  They have too make sure we know that they aren't bigots
I think he is saying what's really on his mind.  Even Clinton staffers know that she is in it for herself.  I wouldn't even call it a Freudian slip.
Don, PA:'... didn't have bad taste on Obama 2 months ago. But now I do. Especially

Don, you sound bitter
I guess it's tough to see your candidate lose
Remember when Hillary was 'inevitable' ??

       ;=D

Tough luck, Don !!

Barack Obama is inevitable

Barack Obama will be your next President

Deal with it ....
