Casey says Dems will come together

Posted: Tuesday, April 01, 2008 10:42 AM by Mark Murray

From NBC/NJ's Matthew E. Berger
PHILADELPHIA -- Sen. Bob Casey just finished speaking at the Pennsylvania AFL-CIO conference, and appeared well aware that he was speaking just an hour before Clinton.

Casey, who endorsed Obama with much fanfare last week, struck a conciliatory tone, saying that while he had made a choice, he believed both Democratic candidates would enjoy strong union support.

"We have to be honest with each other about differences, even difference that may melt away in the months ahead," he said. "We're gonna have a debate, we're gonna have a discussion, we might even have a few arguments, but in the end of this process, Democrats will come together."

Obama will address the AFL convention tomorrow.

To all the Democrats who say they will vote Republican, if thier preffered candidates are not nominated, I ask this: Are the PRINCIPALS in which you live by, vote by, and teach your children sold SO cheaply? Can your convictions as to the direction this country should go, moving forward, be purchased for so little?

If you answered yes to either question; go. You are not the type to move this country forward anyway. You are products of identity politics, with little, if any principals to begin with. And I ask those of you that answered no another question; Is not getting your candidate nominated worth voting FOR: An unjustified war with no plan of ending, looosing a supreme court majority, a person with admittedly little knowledge or expereince with the economy, corporate profiteering at the expense of the working class, the losses of our constitutional rights, and the continuance of failed foreign policies that have made our great nation the laughing stock of the planet?

If you answere no; Please continue vigorously supporting your choice, laying out your reasoning for WHY you SUPPORT YOU CANDIDATE. I, for one, am tired of negativity.

At the end of the day it's about principals. Mine are not sold for so little. I will vote, without reservation or hesitation, to the person who most identifies with my principals. Whether it be Clinton or Obama, it is definitly NOT Mr. McCain..........
why does the media remain silent on clinton not releasing her tax returns? come on guys you know she's hiding something, make her fess up before any voting takes place
