New Clinton 3:00 am TV ad hits McCain

In a conference call with reporters, the Clinton campaign announced that it's unveiling another 3:00 am TV ad -- this one hitting McCain on the economy.

The 30-second ad will air in Pennsylvania, and communications director Howard Wolfson said he believes it's the first Democratic TV ad this cycle to mention McCain.

Here's the script:
Announcer: It's 3 am, and your children are safe and asleep.
But there's a phone ringing in the White House and this time the crisis is economic.
Home foreclosures mounting, markets teetering.
John McCain just said the government shouldn't take any real action on the housing crisis, he'd let the phone keep ringing.
Hillary Clinton has a plan to protect our homes, create jobs.
It's 3 am, time for a president who's ready.
Hillary Clinton: I'm Hillary Clinton and I approve this message.

*** UPDATE *** McCain spokesman Tucker Bounds replies to the ad, "John McCain is ready to lead with a pro-growth economic plan to lower taxes, cut government spending, empower America's entrepreneurs and get our economy back on track. Americans can't afford the Democrats' liberal agenda to raise taxes, nationalize health care, cut off trade and crush the economy under big government."

For one of the few times in my life I am going to say; "Thank you Hillary".
It is time for democrats to join in the struggle against McCain.
wow. that's just embarrassing.
This ad just smacks of "stupid".  Can't you figure out a better way to get this point across.  I am not a Clinton supporter, but I do think Hillary has some good ideas about how we fix this problem.  The problem is she cannot inspire the factions to come together to fix the problem and find the right compromise.  I would on Hillary's side, if not for the 90's and the Billary White House.  For the Clintonistas who say this time will be different, take a look at how her campaign runs.  If she can't manage her own campaign finances effectively, how will she manage the economy?
This has got to be a late April fool's joke. Why on earth would she run this when she's been ridiculed so much for the last one?
Ok, It's three A.M. and you get a call--it's Bill--again.

Here is the best part.  If you are going to hold Obama accountable on Wright and call it a JUDGMENT ISSUE then you had better hold Hillary accountable for Bill Clinton!  Thats right! YesI am going there!

Bill Clinton has abused Hillary in front of the whole nation with several scandals that would make the best wife leave!  Lets look at Hillarys judgment concern Bill! What is her message to all women, concerning their mens affairs? This is a very fair comparison concerning JUDGMENTand a fair one at that.  I think the superdelagates should be told how this could hurt Hillarys ELECT ABILITY; because the Republicans could use Hillarys bad judgment, concerning Bills affairs.

Obama, you are too kind and good!  Good Luck
Hillary hasn't released her tax returns. Voter's want to see her financial history and how she made her money the last 6 years. Hillary can't be trusted to spend tax payer's money if she is afraid to disclose her returns. The other candidates have release their returns.
HA HA HA HA...Oh, I needed a good laugh today.  Is she kidding?  I'm with Steve - who calls at 3AM about the economy?  Wall Street doesn't even work 8-5!  Is the caller in a different time zone or what? Yikes!

What do you bet that this is also stock footage and this actor comes out as an Obama supporter?!?  :-)
Weird, glad to see McCain be her target but...there's something missing...that Hillary nastiness. This is just lame. Hmmmm......
This premise is so tired and I think everyone is over it.

Not to mention the fact that the red phone would NEVER ring at 3 am. All the markets/businesses are closed at that time. Plus, if you go to sleep as President and need a phone call in the middle of the night to realize how bad the economy is, maybe you're not as prepared and ready as you think. You should have been taking care of this matter during the day.

My hunch is that she doesn't have enough money to advertise as much as she'd like in PA, so by recycling the 3 am ad she is guaranteed free air time by networks commenting and playing the ad again.
Hillary is telling the voters in the ad that no matter what happens do not vote mccain

Imagine a room (or if you'll go there, even a boxing ring) with Obama, McCain, and Clinton.

She's like the sad little kid in the corner saying 'look at me', 'look at me. 'I can throw a punch too' while the other two are really duking it out.
Run the ad at 3:00 am.
Run the ad at 3:00 am.
It's 3am... and Hillary Clinton is all out of new ideas...

Her ads are just like her policies... stuck in the '90s.  Sure, the 90s weren't too bad, but you know, I think we can do even better!
Good for going after McCain, but this ad will prove fruitless. First, as previously mentioned, 3am phone calls about the economy is not a believable situation.  Secondly, McCain could just fire back with an image of Hillary on the phone at 3am trying too repay her campaign debts.

Her campaign financial problems will reflect on her ability to make sound decisions on improving the economy.  No candidate has brought that up yet, but this ad might just open the door.
It's 3am and Bill's in the mood...tough break Bill she's on the phone again
Is that SNL ? Serious ? 3 am because 'suddenly' homes are in forclosure *overnight* ??

Maybe she'd be in combat in Bosnia at that time. What then ?
I agree with her assessment of McCain's incompetence on economic issues - but - enough already with the 3am ad - it has run its course.
It's 3am and Bill's in the mood...tough break Bill, she's on teh phone again!!
No one talks on a princess phone anymore.
Are you kidding me? Now they're re-running their own commercials! What an original concept!

3:00 am and it's the collection agency calling about her PAST due health care premiums - WOW! At least that's more beleivable!!

Just can't wait to see those tax returns!!!
HILL get some sleep so you are not deprived and miss speak about snipers.....LOOK OUT IN COMEING...AHHHHHH
Okay, the markets close mid-afternoon.  So somewhere around 4:30, 5:00 at the latest, the banking community decides its time to foreclose on Hillary's campaign debts.  Wouldn't you call her at 3 AM?  Seems like that is a good time to reach her.
'...Obama's steep rise could be a reflection of a growing sense among Democratic voters that a continued divisive nomination process will hurt the party's chances of defeating John McCain...'

'...An Obama upset in Pennsylvania would be virtually certain to force Clinton out of the race....'

From Huff Post:

'...Public Policy Polling has released a new poll showing Obama ahead in Pennsylvania.

Barack Obama has taken the lead in Pennsylvania, a remarkable turnaround after trailing Hillary Clinton by 26 points in a PPP poll in the state just two and a half weeks ago.

Obama's steep rise could be a reflection of a growing sense among Democratic voters that a continued divisive nomination process will hurt the party's chances of defeating John McCain this fall. An Obama upset in Pennsylvania would be virtually certain to force Clinton out of the race. ...

He leads across all age groups except senior citizens and balances Clinton's 10 point lead with women with his own 15 point lead with men.

Three other recent polls show Obama gaining ground but Clinton maintaining her lead by anywhere from 5 to 12 points...'
lmao!

Sorry, that's all I got. It gets more rediculous every day.

OBAMA 08
Do they actually have the cash to run this, or are they just depending on the Media to repeat it for them?
Help, I am ROFLMAO.   This just proves she's off her rocker.

Now John McCain - he'll let the phone ring - he wouldn't want to get sleep deprived and do or say the wrong thing.  No sireeeeee.
