Now what about McCain's tax returns?

Posted: Friday, April 04, 2008 5:49 PM by Mark Murray

From NBC's Mark Murray
The Democratic National Committee releases this statement: "While both Democratic candidates for president have released several years worth of full federal tax returns, John McCain has not. As a self-professed champion of disclosure and ethics, John McCain should explain why for the past 26 years he has not seen fit to provide this important financial information to voters. Presidential candidates have disclosed several years worth of returns for decades, John McCain stands as a disturbing exception."

A McCain spokesman tells First Read that the Arizona senator will release his tax returns after they're filed, the week of April 15.

I hear McCain's wife is the 3rd largest distributer of Beer in America. She worth 250 million. No wonder he keeps her by his side.
with dementia and all... not surprising in the least
I don't know which is sadder --

~ the folks who think that if their candidate isn't the nominee, then they'll vote for McCain or stay home.  How self defeating and spiteful is that?

~ or the swift boaters who will actually run the character assassination campaigns for the betterment of the rich (and the poor get poorer)

~ or the idiots who will believe that the swift boaters have their best interests at heart (not!)

~ or the idiots who think that voting against 'gay marriage' and against 'abortion rights' will put food on the table -- once again (not!).

The dumbing down of America is stunning.

Vote with your head, vote for the economy, vote for jobs.

Vote Democratic 2008 -- don't let the corporations and their Republican stooges win again.
His wife is even richer than the Clintons -- her estimated net worth is > $100 million.

If Clinton would have released her returns when Obama did like she should have, the Dems could have been beating McCain up with this for the last six months. Just more proof that HRC and the fat-bottom gang will sacrifice the party in heartbeat to protect themselves.
Is that to say Senator McCain has 26 years of late filing extensions with the IRS?

Forget 2007, and release the other 25 please. With the uphill climb John McCain is facing, he needs to release everything he's got, including his dental records, and colonoscopy report.

See how easy this is? [Besides, few on these boards appear to have any problems with Harry Reids non-disclosure of family worth through the law offices of Reid and Sons,Pelosis real estate empire, enriched by land she ripped off from the US Navy,Kerrys catsup queen,Kennedys Fiji offshores,[a uniquely Kennedy vehicle, this account worth hundreds of millions goes back to the days of Joe Sr.],or Feinsteins war profiteering]. All of course, are representative of corporate interest.
Thanks to Barrack and Hillary,
Lets hope this sets a standard of transparency for all elected public officials.  No more dark mysterious corners.  Bring all relevent documents out in the sunshine where taxpayers and voters can appraise them.
