Obama adds another super

Posted: Monday, April 07, 2008 5:48 PM by Domenico Montanaro

From NBC’s Domenico Montanaro
Obama is now within 30 superdelegates of Clinton (255-225), as he added one more superdelegate to his total today. Montana National committeewoman Jeanne Lemire Dahlman told AP, and the campaign confirms to First Read, that she is throwing her support to the Illinois senator.

Obama now leads by 134 in the overall delegate count, 1,641-1,507. He has a 164 pledged-delegate lead, 1,416-1,252.

*** UPDATE *** Margaret Campbell, who was reported to have endorsed Obama has withdrawn her endorsement, the Montana newspaper the Missoulian reports:

"Even though the Illinois senator best represented her Democratic ideals, Campbell said, she told an Obama staffer on Sunday she needed to talk with voters, including tribal leaders, before making a public endorsement. ... On Monday, Campbell said not only was she withholding an Obama endorsement, but that Montana Democratic Party rules prohibit her from endorsing a candidate until after the state’s June 3 primary. Montana Democratic Party Rule 10 specifies that the party’s vice chair -- as well as the chair, executive director and paid staff -- 'shall maintain neutrality during primary elections for any office sought by more than one Democratic candidate.'"

We have adjusted the above numbers to reflect the change.

Gee, I wonder who gave Ms. Campbell the information that her endorsement was against the party rules during the time of the primary?
UPDATE:

It's not an 'update' if you've given this story (Campbell) earlier.
Hillary, can you hear the supers dropping like rain at the beginnning of a thunderstorm--soon--very sooon.

Concerning Pastor Wright--To most of you who only watched the bias loop on T.V., and never read the entire sermon. . .you don't really deserve to vote!
But it in context--Wright has done a lifetime of good work serving those in need.  You don't deserve to hold his boots because those boot have marched a thousand miles in the mud and blood.  Marines know this! At least have the guts to read the entire sermon instead of watching those idiots on FOX news and elsewhere who only want to slander the good to increase their ratings!  Oh, something else, Obama knows this--he would not throw a family member under the bus to further his own cause.  He faces up to answer you with courage and honesty--more honesty than many a fine president.  The truth is this( and dishonest, hate filled people cannot stand it when honesty and courage defeats negativism, and spite) It's hard to keep a good man down!  In his good will, Obama has overcome the intolerance of the many.  People are inspired by Obama for many reasons, but the greatest reason is his leadership!
Has anyone every been someplace where they KNEW people who disagreed with them and also KNEW if they said anything that they themselves would be verbally attacked?  I myself have been in that situation and it is very uncomfortable.  For you most part you just speak your opinions later to someone more compassionate to your way of thinking.  But in light of the fact that so FEW have been speaking lately because we're being SCREAMED over by the Obama supporters I have to note that I will not be a part of your group of HATERS NOT HOPERS.  You can't call me stupid, insane, crazy, idiotic, retarded and any other number of childish names because I support Hillary, and if by some bizarro world fate, Obama actually gets this nomination, expect me to turn around and support him and therefore become a part of this cult mentality you are trying to create.  I had the same feeling about George Bush when he was running.  I was afraid to say anything bad about him because he was SO LIKABLE that people got really angry if you didn't like him.  I don't want that kind of leader again.  I'm not looking for a friend and I don't have to LIKE HIllary.  I'm looking for a President who will WORK HARD FOR THIS COUNTRY and for my benefit.  I've got a God and a family to make me "feel good" inside.  I don't need to elect a naive manufactured phony to get the job done.
Actually you didn't report Hillary got another suer delegate endorse as usual, so you need to update and change your totals. You always report on each and every Obama Super but never on Clinton's  Why is That??

Land Commissioner Mark Wilcox, who was selected last month as the Arkansas Democratic Party's last remaining superdelegate to the national convention, said Monday he's supporting the New York senator.
I just realized that your entire political team is comprised of women hating men.  No wonder your coverage and your screened posts are so biased against Hillary.  It all makes sense now!
1 more reason why Clinton should just go away.
Obama/Richardson 08
Slowly they are coming out to finish this contest; it's in the best interest of the democratic party and no one person shuld be bigger than the party.

What's the difference between Nero and Hillary?
At least Nero knew how to play the fiddle while his
city burned.

And, in light to the recent Hillary comparisons to
Rocky and Pauletta Revere, I've got one for her:

Hillary the Horrible. She indiscrimitely raids what
ever she wants. Yes, I am referring to the cartoon
comic Hagar the Horrible.

Obama '08
Does all this really matter?  This primary proves that the Democratic Party, as we know it, is on the verge of "self destruction."  It is so divided in every aspect of American Life.  From Race, to Sex, to Abortion to other major issues that concerns the common American but the party and its leaders no longer care about. After this election year I would hope that a NEW INDEPENDENT POPULUS PARTY emerges where the Constitution and the People really matter.
If characters from "The Hills" were to emote about race, I imagine it would sound like B. Hussein Obama's autobiography, "Dreams From My Father."

Has anybody read this book? Inasmuch as the book reveals Obama to be a flabbergasting lunatic, I gather the answer is no. Obama is about to be our next president: You might want to take a peek. If only people had read "Mein Kampf" ...

Nearly every page -- save the ones dedicated to cataloguing the mundane details of his life -- is bristling with anger at some imputed racist incident. The last time I heard this much race-baiting invective I was ... in my usual front-row pew, as I am every Sunday morning, at Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago.

Obama tells a story about taking two white friends from the high school basketball team to a "black party." Despite their deep-seated, unconscious hatred of blacks, the friends readily accepted. At the party, they managed not to scream the N-word, but instead "made some small talk, took a couple of the girls out on the dance floor."

But with his racial hair-trigger, Obama sensed the whites were not comfortable because "they kept smiling a lot." And then, in an incident reminiscent of the darkest days of the Jim Crow South ... they asked to leave after spending only about an hour at the party! It was practically an etiquette lynching!

So either they hated black people with the hot, hot hate of a thousand suns, or they were athletes who had come to a party late, after a Saturday night basketball game.

In the car on the way home, one of the friends empathizes with Obama, saying: "You know, man, that really taught me something. I mean, I can see how it must be tough for you and Ray sometimes, at school parties ... being the only black guys and all."

And thus Obama felt the cruel lash of racism! He actually writes that his response to his friend's perfectly lovely remark was: "A part of me wanted to punch him right there."

Listen, I don't want anybody telling Obama about Bill Clinton's "I feel your pain" line.

Wanting to punch his white friend in the stomach was the introductory anecdote to a full-page psychotic rant about living by "the white man's rules." (One rule he missed was: "Never punch out your empathetic white friend after dragging him to a crappy all-black party.")

Obama's gaseous disquisition on the "white man's rules" leads to this charming crescendo: "Should you refuse this defeat and lash out at your captors, they would have a name for that, too, a name that could cage you just as good. Paranoid. Militant. Violent. Nigger."

For those of you in the "When is Obama gonna play the 'N-word' card?" pool, the winner is ... Page 85! Congratulations!

When his mother expresses concern about Obama's high school friend being busted for drugs, Obama says he patted his mother's hand and told her not to worry.

This, too, prompted Obama to share with his readers a life lesson on how to handle white people: "It was usually an effective tactic, another one of those tricks I had learned: People were satisfied so long as you were courteous and smiled and made no sudden moves. They were more than satisfied, they were relieved -- such a pleasant surprise to find a well-mannered young black man who didn't seem angry all the time."

First of all, I note that this technique seems to be the basis of Obama's entire presidential campaign. But moreover -- he was talking about his own mother! As Obama says: "Any distinction between good and bad whites held negligible meaning." Say, do you think a white person who said that about blacks would be a leading presidential candidate?

The man is stark bonkersville.

He says the reason black people keep to themselves is that it's "easier than spending all your time mad or trying to guess whatever it was that white folks were thinking about you."

Here's a little inside scoop about white people: We're not thinking about you. Especially WASPs. We think everybody is inferior, and we are perfectly charming about it.

In college, Obama explains to a girl why he was reading Joseph Conrad's 1902 classic, "Heart of Darkness": "I read the book to help me understand just what it is that makes white people so afraid. Their demons. The way ideas get twisted around. I helps me understand how people learn to hate."

By contrast, Malcolm X's autobiography "spoke" to Obama. One line in particular "stayed with me," he says. "He spoke of a wish he'd once had, the wish that the white blood that ran through him, there by an act of violence, might somehow be expunged."

Forget Rev. Jeremiah Wright -- Wright is Booker T. Washington compared to this guy.
Why doesn't all states have these rules? It makes a lot more sense to me! For one thing, it would put a stop to the media's defeatist attitude toward one candidate over another until the actual end of the primaries.
Imagine that, neutrality and not trying to influence voters.  Does that mean, too, that Barry will be rescinding his promise not to drill in the state? Seems as though that's how he got the pledge wasn't it?  And silly me I thought you couldn't buy votes. But, that would be the Chicago style of politics that Barry has bragged about.
Welcome Montana National committeewoman Jeanne Lemire Dahlman !
HAHAHA!!!  We love Margaret Campbell.... This is going to start a trend
How many super-delegates has Obama picked up since Super Tuesday? How many has Hillary?

Seems to me that Obama, is garnering one super-delegate per day, some days 2-3. If this pattern keeps up, by the end of this month, it should be settled. Even IF Hillary wins Pennsylvania, (and I predict she will win, but NOT by a huge margin she thought she should), so that still means that Obama will have enough pledged delegates, popular vote and may even top her in super-delegates by April 22nd.

I also predict that Bill Clinton will have a health crises, on or around June 4, 2008. That will be the out that Hillary needs to resign her candidacy because she will need to be by his side...and of course, for her to save "face".
i would like to put something out there for everyone and ask them to set aside their candidate choice and look at this impartially:

David Axelrod is a lot more likable person then Mark Penn or Howard Wolfson. I really challenge anyone to disagree with that.
I understand Clinton picked up the endorsement of Mark Wilcox, an add-on from Arkansas, today.  Is that already counted in your numbers?  http://www.todaysthv.com/news/news.aspx?storyid=63646
Kudo's to MSNBC.  You guys follow the super delegates so closely and always keep us updated.  Thank you!
Matthews is a joke please get him off the air.  he is a sexist idiot

Now who is making stuff up about her position on free trade?!!!!!
Hardball Show
Obama does not have to attack Hillary, She is destroyng HERSELF, and will continue destroyng HERSELF!
Did you get the elected superdelegate North Dakota gave Obama at its state convention Sunday? The state's Obama campaign chair was elected by the convention as the at-large super.

The state's count is now 15-5 for Obama, including supers, with only the state party chair uncommitted.
If they are from the same state then how come one can endorse and the other cant it just does not make sence
Late Night Talk Show Host:
'Bill, Hillary said Americans want to crown
 Obama king.'

Bill Clinton barks:
'I agree with(stammering),..ambulances..'ah..'er    rocks....'ah, I mean Hillary. You boys ought'a get off her case. Anyway, she did'nt say 'king', she said 'coronation'.

Late night talk show host:
'Bill, have you, Hill, and Chel, in fact, been fitted for royal head-gear? We have information that you've already taken delivery of your crowns, have them hidden away, and stiffed the vendors to boot.'

Bill, even angier:
 'That's Bull.'

Talk Show Host:
'Well Bill, how do explain that huge bulge in your pocket?'

Bill, fidgeting:
'Ah, that's just my cut from the 'Info USA', widows, seniors, Social Security, and retirement fund scam.'

Host:
'Bill, when this gets out, how do you expect Hillary to still be elected?'

Bill, (with a cheese eat'n grin):
'Ah shucks boy, that lunch-bucket bunch believes whatever the 'girl' tells 'em.'

The political waterboarding of the steady dripping of the pols into the face of the Billary's rolling to the filling cup of Obama.
What will his true believer's do if the rumoors contradicting his narrative of his time in the Hanoi Hilton prove to be credible?
Hi Chuck,

Can we have KO cover this during his 2nd segment?
http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0408/9433.html

Oh, get on with it. This is just a game. Everyone trying to be PC and wait until it's safe. Campbell knows she wants to support Obama. Who wouldn't he's smarter, better looking, classier, more articulate, more empathic, more socially wise and more honest then Hillary. What is it gonna take to get Hillary out of the race. This is a waste of time. We need to be fighting John McCain now!
Just a change of subject here.  The remaining states left, I have a question?  How long will you continue to duped by Sen Clinton.  I mean them essage on the walls could not be any clearer.  Sen Clinton is so against NAFTA she lets Mark Penn stay onboard her campaign after going against what she stands for.  Vote for her and I bet people will lose their jobs like they did in Ohio.  $109 million dollars in her pocket what does she have to lose?  Anyone from the remaining states start asking yourself heartfelt questions.  Sniper fire, Embelishing Health care stories, Campaign Funding issues, Vendors not receiving pay, and now Columbian trade talks wink, wink.  What does not come out in the wash comes out in the rinse.  Let your voices be heard and send a message that we are Americans and we can not be lied too.  PENNSYLVANIA WORKERS PLEASE STAND UP.  Some of you may have lost a friend or loved one to Sniper Fire and Sen Clinton makes jokes in regards to it on Jay Leno. Sen Clinton is only out for herself. Sen Obama has ran for the most part a very respectful campaign and should be commended on his ability to run his campaign effectively which clearly shows he is ready to be Commander in Chief.  I think this country does not want either a black, white or female President, this country just wants a President who will do the right job for the people of this great country and to restore the honor once looked at by foreign countries restored no matter what they are.
Super delegates are paying attention. Hillary has a trust "issue. It was sniper ducking and bring peace to Ireland,  now it is patients dying in hospital stories which was not confirmed, or "I was against the Iraq war before Obama" (which is not true).

Come on Hillary supporters, how many lies do you need? Is your answer blown in the wind?  We have one president who frequently lies, we do not want to go down that path again.  When you lose credibility (your word) you have nothing.  Honesty trumps gender and race.
SUPER!
I am totally disgusted with Sen Clinton Campaign.  As a woman she has totally mis-represented woman to fullest. Lie and cheat to get what we want is not what woman represent.  To fight is one thing but when you lie, mishandle funds in your campaign, and you can not manage your people to the point they are at each others throat amongst other things paints a pretty crystal clear picture.  I hope the remaining states do not make the same mistake California and the rest of the states that have voted already for her.  Sen Clinton you need a message loud and clear from the people and I hope and pray Pennsylvania sends it out to you that we are not dumb to your rhetoric any longer.
Sounds like Campbell should get to vote at the convention as she has clearly broken the rules.
There's no need to take her vote off...from what I have read, she still intends to vote for Obama as a superdelegate, but can't officially "endorse" him based on party rules.  She's still in his camp.
Obama Supporters:

Ted Kennedy, Tom Daschle, Bill Richardson, John Kerry, Chris Dodd, Pat Leahy and, of course, MSNBC.

A political who's who of losers!

Hillary Colombia ties don't stop with Penn
By EAMON JAVERS | 4/7/08 6:56 PM EST
.
Clinton is using an anti-trade message to win over working class voters in Pennsylvania.
.
Mark Penn isn’t the only Hillary Rodham Clinton supporter on the wrong side of the Colombia trade agreement.
.
The Democratic-leaning advocacy firm the Glover Park Group, former home to Clinton campaign spokesman Howard Wolfson, signed a $40,000 per month contract with the government of Colombia in April of 2007 to promote the very agreement that Clinton now rails against on the presidential campaign trail.
.
That means Glover Park Group was arguing the same position on the free trade agreement as has Penn, the contentious Clinton strategist and Burson-Marsteller chief executive who lost his campaign job over the weekend after The Wall Street Journal revealed that he’d met with Colombian officials to plot strategy on the pact.
.
Several other Glover Park employees have deep connections with the Clintons, including founding partner Joe Lockhart, who served as the White House press secretary under President Bill Clinton, and Joel Johnson, who was a senior communications adviser in the Clinton White House.

Six employees of Glover Park Group contributed a total of nearly $20,000 to Clinton’s campaign in 2007, according to data kept by the Center for Responsive Politics.

Gobama!

They said it couldn't be done...
... the fall of the Berlin wall
... Apartheid dismantled
... the end of the Soviet Union
... change in Washington, DC, USA!
Obama is well on his way to the Democratic nomination, despite Hillary trying to steal every delegate that she can.

Credit this to Penn.  Each day it gets harder and harder to countenance the clinton contradiction: A persistent mismatch between words and actions.

It is time to cast off our cynicism and expect more from our leaders.

NOW IS YOUR TURN TO PUT AN END TO THIS "EXPERIENCE"!
VOTE BARACK OBAMA
THAT'S GREAT NEWS FOR HILLARY CLINTON!
As I sit and write this post I am very angry and upset.

I have never in my 56 years seen and felt so much hate.

This will be my last posting on this blog. I am a supporter of Sen. Clinton ( who is by the way a life long democrat) as I am.

The Obama supporters are the most hate filled people
I have ever seen. If this is what Obama stands for, I want no part of him. You the supporters, and Obama have divided us, the democrat party, as never seen before in history

I have listen to his speeches and I have watched as the crowds roared, yes we can. Yes you can what?...Hate?
Ok, yes we can feel your hate. And we are many, about 50% of the democrat party.  I doubt any of us
will be voting for Obama if he wins the nomination.

You have distorted comments, lied about, and slandered Sen. Clinton and her supporters while you ignore the lies Obama has told and the people he associates with.

I have never voted republican in my life but if Obama wins the Democrat nomination I will vote for McCain.

Can we stop Obama from being elected in November?

YES WE CAN

Hillary holds quite a lead with the superdelegates. She should quit.

MSNBC - I discovered there are 3 add-on superdelegates for Obama: Susan Montee, Rob Carver, and Dan Hannaher (reported by DemConWatch.com this past weekend). Thanks.
Why what happened? Ha, ha, ha, ha. This can only happen in the movies.
Delegates may want to reserve their votes until ALL
the facts are in on Obama.  There is more to come and
the Wright Issue and his BAD JUDGMENT regarding that issue should be enough to make them PAUSE.

Surely the hands off policy of the MSM should be ending soon.

Obama is a beatable candidate--for SURE.
