Utah superdelegate for Obama

Posted: Thursday, April 10, 2008 9:57 AM by Domenico Montanaro

From NBC's Domenico Montanaro
We mentioned in First Thoughts that Clinton will pick up a Pennsylvania superdelegate tonight when she speaks at the Allegheny County J-J Dinner. The Obama campaign then released a new superdelegate of their own, Utah Democratic Party Chair Wayne Holland. Holland had been thought to be leaning Obama, but had not said so publicly.

This brings the superdelegate count to Clinton 257, Obama 226. In the overall count, Obama leads by 133 (1,642 to 1,509). He has a 164 pledged-delegate lead (1,416 to 1,252).

Barack Hussein Obama is unelectable.

Hillary Rodham Clinton is electable.

Hillary has already proven she can win big in the big electoral rich states such as Ohio, where Obama outspent Hillary 4 to 1 yet he won only 5 out of 88 counties, those with large black voter turnout. If you cannot win Ohio, you cannot win the Presidency. Today, in Ohio, Hillary beats McCain by 10 points, while Obama ties or loses to McCain in Ohio. Same story in state after state, Michigan, Florida, New York, Penn. etc.

What would ML King, who fought for voter rights think of Obama's attempts to disenfranchise voters in Florida and Michigan? The Democratic nominee will not be legitimate if they don't count these two states that Dems must win in November.

The superdelegates need to do the right thing for the party and nominate Hillary Rodham Clinton. If they foolishly nominate Obama,it will drag the entire ticket down and result in a crushing defeat for the Dems in November. Obama does not belong on the ticket at all, Hillary needs to choose a white male with strong national security credentials for the most unbeatable ticket.

Check out the Obama scandals on Antoin Rezko, Crown, Exelon, Odinga, Emil Jones, "pastors" Wright, Moss and Meeks, and of course, Auchi, really scary stuff. Any ONE of these scandals is enough to make Obama unelectable, combined they are lethal to his campaign. Ask Obama's campaign manager David Axelrod about Auchi. If we had any investigative journalists anymore they should be reporting on these very serious scandals of Obama.

Why is the corporate owned media relentlessly promoting Obama 24/7? They want him to be the nominee because they know he's unelectable.

WAKE UP DEM VOTERS! DON'T BE PLAYED BY THE MEDIA AGAIN!

Get a life...Don't try to use MLK against Obama. Obama didn't disenfranchise the FL and MI voters.
They did that to themselves. ...and Hilary was fine with it until she started loosing.
Pat Huntington,

why don't you just change your last name to Buchanan because that's exactly who you sound like.  a senile, conservative bigot
"Obama does not belong on the ticket at all, Hillary needs to choose a white male with strong national security credentials for the most unbeatable ticket."

And here we come to the crux of your anti-Obama argument, James. If that's what you want, why don't you vote for McCain?
Domenico - Does your website show the entire list of super-delegagtes and who they voted for?  That would be nice to see...
Sen Clinton has to win all remaining delegates, including SD's, with at least a 57% share in order to get to 2025.

Obama therefore, needs to win at least a 43% share to reach 2025.

It seems only a matter of time until Hillary must withdraw, but after PA it will be even more clear as her %'s get steeper.
GO NANACY !!
You're the leading HONEST female politican !

'...Pelosi turns tables on WH trade plan

By PATRICK O'CONNOR & VICTORIA MCGRANE

President Bush fired the initial salvo in a trade fight over Colombia by sending a free trade agreement to Congress without the blessing of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.). On Wednesday, she fired back.

The speaker announced that House Democrats will take the unprecedented step Thursday of voting to strip a critical time requirement from chamber rules governing the “fast track” consideration of trade agreements, suspending the Colombia fight indefinitely and imperiling future trade agreements between the U.S. and other countries.

Pelosi said the House would move to waive the fast track requirement that the House vote on the trade agreement within 45 days. That deadline is part of a total timeline of 90 legislative days for Congress to approve or defeat trade agreements governed by fast track rules.

“We’re taking the timeline out of the equation,” the speaker told reporters Wednesday after her caucus signed off during a closed-door meeting at the Capitol....'

Pick up your jock strap, George

Don't mess iwth 'Frisco or REAL DEMOCRATS
(chuck Berry called it Frisco)

Jose,

Your dreaming.  Hillary is against PR's status as a commonwealth.  Clinton wants to make PR a state which would destroy PR's economy.  Also, most people in PR favor commonwealth status.  Clinton has a problem here.
"What would ML King, who fought for voter rights think of Obama's attempts to disenfranchise voters in Florida and Michigan? The Democratic nominee will not be legitimate if they don't count these two states that Dems must win in November. "

James - what would he think about HRC telling the caucus states that they don't matter, and that the other states who actually PLAYED BY THE DNC RULES don't matter?

I think it's you who has been fooled.
Utah was left with a bad taste in it's mouth with the way Romney and his religion was treated during the republican primary. I'm still seeing some slander on the  Mormon church on these First Read comments. Yes, Utah is the reddest of the red states out there, but perhaps not so much this year.
PA will be in larger numbers for Clinton than the polls show (mark my word)as many of the other polls have also failed to realize her strength of support.  People in PA are practical not idealogical.  They've seen more than one candiate who says a lot and does little.  They want someone who will WORK not TALK!!!  Obama is not going to fool PA voters like he has many younger voters.  Why do you think Obama began his comapaign by targeting young voters?  Because young people are much less likely to reserach him (because they are lazy) and much more likely to vote based on their feelings.  I think it's sad that many people who are voting based on race alone and young people who are more worried about "feeling good" then making a smart decision might determine the outcome of the democratic nomination.  I pray this ship turns around before we lose the white house AGAIN!!!!
Will I see the Hillary trolls are here as in everywhere else. These are not actually voters, these are a group of "Tokyo Rose - Stepford Wives" that don't do anything their entire day but go to all the blogs and post their propaganda about Barack. They really need to get jobs. Oh that's right. Duh, There aren't any. Why you ask. "Free Trade". Geesh, I wish these folk would go back to their home businesses on ebay.

All of you Hillary supporters (Only the ones on this blog saying nasty things about Obama) are really ignorant.  You are showing how jealous you really are that Obama came out of nowhere and won the American people over.  You felt that the nomination is owed to Hillary for some crazy unknown reason and now she isn't going to get it, you can't stand it.  And to all of you complaining about the media and all the money he is spending, don't you get it?  In order to win the White House you have to win over the media and you have to convince people to send you money.  Don't blame the media blame Hillary for not being smart enough to know that’s what it takes.
You guys are idiots seriously and the jokes on you!
