Hillary pounds one down...

Posted: Sunday, April 13, 2008 10:18 AM by Mark Murray

From NBC's Christina Jamison
We've seen candidates have a beer, but Clinton had a shot of Crown Royal -- with an Old Style beer chaser -- at the Bronko Restaurant and Lounge in Crown Point, IN yesterday.  The senator took a small sip from the shot glass, then tossed the rest of the shot back.

Just blogged that and saw pix on the HUFF. POST.

Could she pander any more?? I'm sure there are lots of shots-and-a-beer parties in DC and Chappaqua at
the Clinton manses.

Since she claims (check it out-we know how she is) that her dad taught her to shoot, I'm waiting for the hunting photos with Dick Cheney. Maybe it was Sen. Clinton reflected in his hunting sunglasses???
wow!  such a down-home woman!  really????!!!???

by June, though, she'll probably need a lot more than just a Boilermaker (or don't you know the name for it?)!
This is surprising - I can't imagine McCain or Obama slamming a shot down during a campaign.  It's in poor taste and a clear attempt to pander.  Will she get out a gun and go hunting next?

Since she and Bill made $109 mill., did she at least buy a round?
(If so, that's the only financial assistance they'll see from her.)
I've seen her with a drink in her hand a lot lately. Makes me wonder if she's going to be passed out at 3am every night.
ARE YOU SURPRISED???? OBAMA HAD A BEER AND (TRYD)BOWLING SO SHES GOTTA GO OUT AND"I CAN DO WHATEVER HE DOES".....SHILLARY DESPERATE DOESNT GO GOOD WITH YOUR HAIR....HA-HA-HA
I'm sure she has a few more, before and after, the way she is ranting and raving..
She also became a REPUBLICAN PRO Gun candidate
McCain/Hillary 08
This is news...oh, come on...ask yourself this?  When was the last time you heard about a male candidate having a drink at a pizza parlor???

Get real!!
This proves she's in touch with the regular folks - She's playing the game for all it's worth, next we'll probably see her saying how much she loves hunting.
She is celebrating!  Finally, the guns aimed at Barack and she is going to milk it for all it's worth. In the end, she still wont be the nominee, so DRINK UP!
..and after that, she's going to go hunting.
Ok... now we know why she misspeaks and makes up stories... its that crown royal...  a little md 20/20 and she'd be "down" with us po' folk.
Pandering anyone?  Guns, Church and booze.  What's next, watching NASCAR with Dolly Parton?
Here is the proof. It is splashed all over the papers here in NW Indiana
http://images.huffingtonpost.com/gen/18372/thumbs/r-HILLARY-DRINKING-huge.jpg
Do we really want this in the White House?
she is so calculated it's sad.  did she setup a press event before taking the shot?  Be sure the media picks up on her 'small town' appeal
Hillary!!!! You naughty senator, you. And they say you can't hang with the boys. LOL!!

OBAMA '08
I don't drink, and I find it not very appealing for a woman to hold a keg of alcohol in her hands.  It appears that she was trying to be one of the boys.  This did not go over very well with me.  Whenever she tries to be an ordinary human being, it seems phony.  Do not drink to victory yet, Hillary.  Obama will be the nominee even though you are trying to defame his character.  America sees through you.  As the saying goes, "When you dig a hole for someone else, dig one for yourself too."
Can i ask a very silly question please. Is Hillary Clinton a republican? The reason i am asking is, she is determined to destroy Obama and shred every integrity that man has. I hope she when she loses the nomination, she should run as an independent because the stigma she is leaving is unrepairable. And to all her supporters, i hope you all follow her and Bill, because to me, if you support her lack of morals and her divisive personality, then i dont think you will be of any help to a united future. I understand you have to try and win a contest, but this tactics is just shy of comparison to a vicious virus. I need to go take a shower before i get infected by Clintonitis.
First the gun toting Hillary and now she's in a bar boozing it up.  Next, she's going to go out looking for those snipers with a gun in one hand and a beer in the other.  God help us all if she manages to steal this nomination.
um, this qualifies her to be president how? i'm not even sure what qualifies this as news
I have seen to all now! Hillary just one of the small town boys! This is going pretty low to get the vote. Now what will her church going base say. And what does this say to the young people.
Hillary you need to get out now while you have a little bit of decency left.
Perhaps she is feeling bitter or depressed.  You know, maybe she turned to something familiar, Alcohol!
Echoes of Wright furor & the inner thinking of Obama

The weekend's exchanges also overlapped issues that arose with the controversy over Mr. Obama's longtime minister, Rev. Jeremiah Wright. That case provided a wedge for Obama critics to question the extent to which he shared the values of ordinary Americans.

Will Obama's 'Bitter comment be Clinton's Silver Bullet Opportunity?

.
Isn't Crown Royal a Canadian Whisky.... hmmm
I think it is time to ask a serious question here. Is Hillary Clinton as faithful to the Democratic Party as some people think she is? Is she so desperate to win the Presidency that she would bring down her own party in the process? Does she really understand the turmoil and suffering most Americans are experiencing as a result of the policies of the Bush administration? So now she has gone from trying to convince voters that she has the experience and will to change the Washington establishment to attacking her own party. Are people really buying this crap? I have a greater interest in knowing how we will bring an end to our occupation in Iraq, what can we do to strengthen the flagging economy and what measure we can take to ensure that all Americans are entitled to quality healthcare. Obama might not have phrased his words in a meaningful way but we cannot escape the truth in what he had to say. Yes, many people are bitter like yours truly because I believe that my government has ignored my needs. We have come pretty close to having a dictatorship at the helm. When are we going to stand up and say, enough is enough and stop paying attention to the petty complaints of people who will twist the words of one politician for their own self serving purpose. The greed for power as we have seen it in this campaign is enough to turn off even the hard boiled conservative.

RAnthony, Mauldin SC
What a role model.
Bitter is as bitter does...
Even Forrest Gump could this figure out.
The spurious retortic passages spuming for the HRC
campaign are not only childish but does nothing to get acroos the message of the Democratic platitudes.
As a Republician looking for change in this election process...This constant bickering and punching shows me the Dem's have a wild cannon that needs to be controlled first.
I voted for President Carter because I saw an honest leader..
I've lost hope the Rep's because of discontinuity of purpose and reality..
Iraq has done more harm to this country than the country can bear...
Howard Dean has to take back the Leadership of this party...Send out the clear messages that this disunity is not going to be tolerated...
The Dem's need leadership that show direction of purpose and direction of diligence...I can not and will not vote for a continuance of the failed policies of last 8 years..
Help bind things or they'll bust this party in two...

Simple..Economy, War, Jobs, Infrastucture, Energy
independence, Immigration..but most of all the children, the children, the children...
When we look into their(children) eyes we should see the future.
Please give me and ten's of thousands of fence sitting Rep's a chance to vote for the above promises...
was this before or after she went duck hunting? i've been to lake winola and i wonder how the neighbors felt about all that gunfire at the time?
hrc needs more than a shot of crown, she is in despart need of a shot of reality, she could also use a double shot of honesty. change is coming, sen obama WILL be our next president.
OK MSNBC can you PLEASE report on Bill Clinton's ties with China instead of all these non-stories?? (this probably won't get posted as usual)

http://www.latimes.com/news/politics/la-na-clintonchina13apr13,0,499290.story
I won't be impressed until she does a keg stand!

http://laststopmidwest.blogspot.com
Please, Please post this MSNBC! I have tried to post so many times and have yet to see one thing I have written!

I don't know and can't speak for others, but when it comes to my opinion, here it is- I couldn't care less that Hillary can toss one back at the local pub with the "regular folk". This "regular Joe" image belies the truth- not too many people I know at the local pub had a tax return estimating their income over 100 million dollars! Why are the candidates, and even some in the American Public as well as MSM afraid of the truth? I for one am a bitter individual. Not only am I bitter, but I am angry and sad that our country is in the state it is in. My 35 year old husband suffered a stroke and we had to sacrifice our future to pay our medical bills in this present- we had to cash in his retirement in order to survive! My two children face a future of war and not being able to pay for a college education. My 12 year old daughter needs braces and we can't afford to pay for them! My husband has recovered and now is working 2 jobs, as am I, to continue to be able to pay our bills. Bitter, you bet! Sen. Clinton doesn't represent me and certainly doesn't gain my support by sharing a drink with someone in a bar. Sen. McCain and his heiress wife have no idea what I struggle with on a daily basis.

Certainly, Sen. Obama made quite a healthy sum according to his tax returns, but I believe this is one politician who may have a true finger on the pulse of the people he meets across the country. And I for one am of the beief that we can't continue on the course that we are going.

So, I will take my bitter self and get back to work, as on this Sunday morning, I am working in order to pay the bills. Hope Sen. Clinton doesn't have a headache from her night out at the pub.
Senator Clinton trying to be "one of us"...

LAUGHABLE!!!!

Like when she's back in Chappaqua she relaxes by downing a shot of Crown Royal and a Bud!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

I guess you can afford a lot of it, though, when you're making over $100 million.

By the way, she seems to be doing a pretty lousy job of campaigning when she's sober.  Are we sure we want her hitting the sauce?
Hey, imbibing beats talking to angry/bitter Lake County Indiana residents suffering from thousands of blue collar job losses and housing market slump.
Way to set an example to our children, Hillary.  You shouldn't be celebrating.  Btw...When was the last time you went to the shooting range?  Your campaign has been missing the target on the issues of late.
Drinking on the job!   I am not a Hillary fan, but that was a side of politicians that we don't see often...  They enjoy good beer and a shot of every now and then.  Plays well for with middle America and your average Joe. I like a candidate that can hold their own and I believe John McCain can drink both Democrats under the table.  Cheers!

Good to know she eats and drinks.  Now update us on what's going on with this lawsuit against the Clintons:

"The first lawsuit to haul a President and a Senator into Court for defrauding the Senator's largest donor as part of a conspiracy to illegally win and keep a US Senate seat will begin discovery in May, 2008 as it proceeds to trial as confirmed by the California Supreme Court.

The discovery will expose an ongoing cover-up of the campaign finance crimes and the obstructions of justice directed by Hillary Clinton with the help of Bill Clinton and former DNC Chair Ed Rendell. The cover-up rivals Watergate in its corruption of each branch of government and the media."

Crown Royal w/ a beer chaser. How in the heck is she supposed to be clear headed at 3am if boilermakers are her mode of winding down?
Much has been said about the choices Hillary Clinton might make upon failing to receive the Democratic Party nomination for president. Some say that she will covertly support John McCain, and that is possible. Some say that she will plot running for president in 2012, and that is possible.

But I also believe that she is fully capable of comming to the realization that the Clinton era is past and she will never be president. Once she comes to that realization, I believe that, in spite of shortcommings, she is fully capable of performing a highly positive role on behalf of the Democratic Party, America and humanity.

May God grant us the best of all possibilities.
Class less and tasteless. She is from the gutter. A complete whore. She was surrounded by men when she did this and the picture looked awful.
Wow, who's stereotyping now? Clinton thinks she can talk about killing ducks and drink some liquor and Indiana will fall all over her? What message is she sending here? I didn't realize all those folks in Indiana cared about was guns and liquor. I guess they'd be pretty surprised to hear that, too. The next thing you know she'll be wearing a NASCAR jacket and claiming she attended the Indy 500 regularly as a college girl at Wellesley. Hmmm.
Is this her attempt to be one of us???? Well, I do not think most of us have all the money and power she does. Nice try!! Hillary do you think we have forgotten all about your big fish stories just because you have a shot with the everyday Joe. Girl Please........ We see right through you. Obama 08
She needs a drink or something..; but I want to add a comment about the so-called "Bitter" controversy.
Because I’m bitter; after Two 15 and 16 month tours to the sandbox and less than 6 months together with my wife in the last 2 years… Yes I'm bitter; but I'm not the only one.  I see and run into bitter people all the time. Much more frequently than I run into happy go lucky optimistic satisfied people. To clarify my statement though I would like to add. Some of the bitter people I run into are very funny, well behaved, well spoken, law abiding, respectful citizens. Being bitter doesn’t mean they are violent, disgruntled, hateful, or walking around permanently angry. People are just bitter, with these high gas prices and the economy only getting worse and worse. Former New Orleans Louisiana Citizens are bitter with a federal government that seemingly left its own citizens to fend for themselves: in one of the worst natural disasters since the big quake in San Francisco. Every American citizen is bitter from living with an antiquated immigration policy that’s broken and that seems like the government is just playing politics with. People are bitter with racial tensions seemingly worse now than they were in the 90's, 80's, or even the 70's. The rest of the free world is bitter and disenchanted with us as World Leaders. The Euro is sometimes twice the value of a dollar: so a 4 Euro pack of cigarettes cost $8 American dollars. The ridiculous hundreds of billions of dollars in debt we are in to communist China should make any red blooded American bitter. While were steadily outsourcing jobs and in trade agreements with countries that could care less about our people or our families being out of work or struggling; I have family that’s in Akron and Dayton Ohio out of work getting old, bitter. Broken borders... The Democratic Party should be bitter that the Clintons again seemingly (with scandal after scandal) left the door wide open for Al Gore (A Nobel Prize winner) to crash and burn and go down in flames. It is in my opinion that its partially because of them that the Country wound up in the hands of the Republicans who have lead us into this disaster. I still love my country but I'm definitely bitter and upset with the last 2 administrations that I grew up in that have let things come to this.

I believe in the second amendment. I believe Sen. Obama believes in the Second Amendment and the right of Americans to be able to bear arms. He has been one of the Amendments fiercest defenders. I was baptized and have attended Christian School almost all of my life. My faith didn’t come out of bitterness but I know that Jesus message has always been to bring hope to the downtrodden and downcast. What the Senator said is correct.  We as Christians cast off our burdens and sorrows in Christ and in church where we believe we are uplifted by his Holy Spirit.. One of the reasons we fellowship in the Lord is because they're are bad governments. From the Pharaohs to Pontius Pilate they’re have been administrations that have made the people bitter. When times are tough people look to they’re faith for refuge Read Exodus, Psalms, Thessalonians, Corinthians, the New Testament... All those letters to the Churches after (the) Acts of the Apostles or Disciples were pretty much about staying strong in the faith through desperate times. I respect Sen. Obama more than ever for standing up and actually telling the truth. To say that most Americans are happy and optimistic like little children is out of touch. When times are good people aren’t worried so much about crime or guns. When times are good and people are happy and truly optimistic we don’t have so many people using drugs like Crystal Meth…  People are happy when they have good jobs that they’re confident they’re going to have the next year. When they’re’ not worried about loosing they’re home or worried about how they’re going to afford gas and still be able to save for they’re children’s education and they’re senior years… No government has ever been perfect, or utopian, but is it unrealistic to just want a President who will help the people instead of the lobbyist and big Bear Stearns?

I believe that out of the three viable candidates that we have left, that Sen. Obama is the one who is the most in touch and connected to us. He didn’t grow up in a wealthy Illinois Republican dynasty, or in some very wealthy Military family that could give him access to the elitist Navy Pilot School. That doesn’t except the children of the common American family. Sen. Obama wasn’t some fancy Navy fly boy… He would’ve been one of us (or like me a Grunt).
Then Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton has some nerve; when she doesn’t even realize how out of touch she is. Look how she sounds in her new commercials being run in Pennsylvania: where she talks about her family summers at “The Cottage”. It's like she doesn’t get the difference or really care that most common people don’t have summers at “The Fabulous Cottage“ that looks like a mansion or some manor… or the White House.  She’s completely out of touch. Most of the people I know spent summers on the porch or at they’re friend’s house; with a 2 or 3 day trip somewhere like Disneyland or the beach or some place. I can’t even imagine a whole summer of my whole family not working and being able to hang out at some gated Mansion with butlers and maids. You can see in the commercial the place was humongous. The fabulous Hiltons and Mrs. Rodham Clinton may be used to summers like this at “The Cottage”; but what is this the Simple Life or the Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous? The Hills or Richie Rich?
Sen. Obama grew up with a single Mother and from his childhood pictures (looked Happy and Loved on the beach with his Grandparents) with his Mom doing the best she could; but he had to make it on his own.  Like the most of us he had to make it by using his own wits and drive; without the rich connections or a Father that is the Admiral of the Pacific Fleet of the Navy. He didn’t even have the brand new convertible Corvette Stingray like Sen. McCain. He didn’t have the trust fund; like most of the rest of us he had to work and pray hard for everything. The President of the Harvard Law Review, a self made yet very intellectual Senator that really seems to still be one of us. That hasn’t completely forgotten what it‘s really like to be one of the 'have not’s'. Neither One of the other two candidates has ever even experienced an average or lower middle class lifestyle. They have all led fantastic lives and achieved and done amazing things. They have all had to overcome. The difference is 2 of them are completely out of touch with the common American or the average tax payer/voter. Senators McCain and the distinguished Mrs. Hillary Rodham Clinton are completely out of touch with the people, with the small hands that turn the wheels...They can read about being poor, or some older politician’s thoughts on abortion, and being frightened and out of work or being a young single mother… They can visit the barrio and the poor and be gracious enough to listen to you and me gripe; but they have never known a day of not being monetarily rich or financially set for life or even of having an immediate family member that wasn’t rich. Bill Clinton seems to me to be as close as Hillary will ever get to having someone who may have been poor in her family. Sen. Obama or Barry knows what it means to really have a debt or college loans that have to be paid back that you can‘t afford.
The rich kids like the Kennedy’s’ like him and have endorsed him. Stars like Oprah, George Clooney, George Lucas, and even Rolling Stone magazine believe in him and support him... So the wealthy and well to do should know that he’s’ not out to get them or that he wouldn't just forget about them either. He’s just of and for the people and he’s honest with us because he knows people are intelligent enough to handle it.
You don’t have to sugar coat things or try to trick or politic us into liking you. I can’t afford a new set of Nomax gloves to take to the field with me. Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton telling me that I’m happy and optimistic isn’t going to get those gloves or make them magically appear.

I believe that Sen. Obama is really special. Like Governor Richardson said he’s the type of Politician that (if we’re lucky) we get, or that comes around once in a lifetime. I think this last much a do about nothing, is the result of panic and jealousy that the cats out of the bag and the other politicians are really looking bad. To anyone calling him out of touch for overtly being OBVIOUSLY in touch; it’s definitely just a jealous and desperate, frightened reaction. The words he said behind those closed doors in Marin weren’t scandalous or out of touch. The response from McCain and Hillary Rodham Clinton has been… It’s easy to see. People are at the gas pumps bitter, Protesting the War bitter, (Pink against the War or whatever…) Michael Moore and Sicko and the environmentalist are bitter…  The problem with Immigration on both sides of the border is bitter the Minutemen are bitter. Out of Work people are bitter and mad at the way there jobs have been outsourced and that Nike is building a brand new 2.3 billion dollar factory in Vietnam. Dell and America Online etc… are spending millions building buildings and business in India spending millions training people in India. People are bringing guns to school and shooting everybody and killing themselves, bitter. They’re not optimistic. They say that there were officially One Hundred and something suicides in the Army last year; but I can almost guarantee that there were more than that, that the Army won’t classify as a suicide. In every unit there putting Soldiers on Suicide watch taking the bolts out of their weapons they’re boot laces and belts.  When people are happy and optimistic they don’t have to give up their educations and dreams to join the Army to defend their country and families.

I am a little bitter but I do love my country and I BELIEVE in Sen. Barack Obama for President in 08.

Thank You.
Hillary is the best candidate for the Democratic Party. She has proven it time and time again. If the party doesn't o with her, they will lose in the fall. That's a promise.
Hillary is the best candidate for the Democratic Party. She has proven it time and time again. If the party doesn't choose with her, they will lose in the fall. That's a promise.
OOOORAH

You go girl!
With the way the media ignores every gaffe by Obama, I'd throw a few shots back too.
She's going to need another when the voters remember she was on the board of Walmart and helped to sell her husbands policies that took all those small town jobs away.
http://www.fish.state.pa.us/water/lakes/winola/00winola.htm

I like how CLinton says she learned how to shoot a gun on PA commissioned land.  Where it would be illegal to shoot a gun.
