Lieberman vs. Obama

Posted: Tuesday, April 15, 2008 10:14 AM by Mark Murray

From NBC's Mark Murray
It looks like Joe Lieberman's differences with the Democrats doesn't pertain to just foreign policy. Per the liberal Think Progress blog...

NAPOLITANO: Hey Sen. Lieberman, you know Barack Obama, is he a Marxist as Bill Kristol says might be the case in today’s New York Times? Is he an elitist like your colleague Hillary Clinton says he is?
LIEBERMAN: Well, you know, I must say that’s a good question. I know him now for a little more than three years since he came into the Senate and he’s obviously very smart and he’s a good guy. I will tell ya that during this campaign, I’ve learned some things about him, about the kind of environment from which he came ideologically. And I wouldn’t…I’d hesitate to say he’s a Marxist, but he’s got some positions that are far to the left of me and I think mainstream America.

Asking whether Obama is a Marxist is a good question? What say you, Harry Reid?

If Liberman was really a man of integrity, he would have officially switched to the republican part-ee. He acts like a repub, thinks like a repub and votes like a repub. The only reason he chose to caucus with the dems was to hold onto to his seniority.  The dems should have dumped him in '06.  Keeping him didn't help their pseudo majority in the senate. Liberman makes McCain look like a liberal, hell maybe even a Marxist.

Lieberman and everyone else drinking the McCain-Hillary Koolade will regret it.  Joe is such a WHINER!  That voice!  Worse than Hillary's!
Lieberman is absolutely not in the mainstream of American thought on foreign policy issues.  Americans are against torture.  Americans are against going to war on false premises.  Americans put American security interests ahead of everything even when there are conflicts between our interest and what some Jewish Americans view as the interest of Israel. Americans don't want world domination or endless war.
Lieberman is for Lieberman.  He is the typical politician who is always playing the angles.  I am glad the Democratic party dumped him.  Wonder how he got reelected?  He and Krystal are past their prime...need to fade away.
