Veepstakes: Narrowing his choices?

CBN's Brody picks up on McCain's comments during "Hardball" regarding whether his running mate would have to pro-life.

MCCAIN: I don't know if it would stop him but it would be difficult.

CHRIS MATTHEWS: But why that one issue? Why is there that one litmus test?

MCCAIN: I'm not saying that would be necessarily, but I am saying it's basically the respect and cherishing of the right of the unborn is one of the fundamental principles of my party and it's a deeply held belief of mine.

Brody also unearths video from 2000 where McCain seemed a tad more open to a pro-choice running mate. Good news for Tom Ridge and Kay Bailey Hutchison or not?

Does he have to beleive in creationism, too ?
How about a 'flat earth'  ?
Does your running mate have to hate Arabs ?
How about Muslims ?

Hey !!
Why not run with Rev. John Hagee ?
or Woddy Jenkins ?
His whole political future sets up for this one choice...Rep's be sure you can stomach a repeat of under the table deals that sound and look good but just don't pan out.
There's no gold in Arizona..just a lot of hot air, wind and sand in your eyes...
Pro-life, yes. Murder of the unborn is evil. Murder is murder, any way you look at it. Killing off the most helpless among us is wrecthed, cruel, selfish, and irresponsible. How sad. How tragic.

If you don't want children, abstain. How do you think you will fare when you have to answer to your Lord on Judgment Day, over your position to support abortion?
This is a little different in how it was covered on Verdict last night (they made it sound like he would not choose a Pro-choice candidate under any cirumstances).

I think its a tough stance.  I know I don't vote on single issues, I think that's bad for the American political process.  I think it means that he's not open to perhaps the best ticket (to exclude so many on one issue only).  It also sends a powerful message to the American electorate about the type of judges/justices his Administration would appoint.

Obama 08
I was very disappointed watching Chris Matthews play
T-ball with McCain last night.
Why not have a recipe contest, the VP who comes up with the simplest recipe that all americans like should be the winner.
Seems like pandering is now in season, gotta get those social conservative whipped up for the general election.
I usually like Chris Matthews, but on "Verdict" last night he sounded like a putz.  Pandering to PA voters about the whole bitter thing, making McCain sound like he wouldn't take a pro-choice VP under any circumstances.

I think Chris may be running for Senate sooner than 2010.
