The delegate fight: The June solution

Posted: Wednesday, April 16, 2008 9:10 AM by Domenico Montanaro

A superdelegate convention? George McGovern and Mike Dukakis have joined the call for the so-called “June Solution” of a superdelegate convention to decide the nominee before the August convention, the Boston Globe’s Scott Lehigh reports. McGovern warned that “his inability to claim the nomination until he had won a floor fight over the seating of some of his delegates left little time for anything else … and thereby contributed to the political disaster of his first vice-presidential pick.”

Another Clinton super hedger: “Massachusetts congressman Barney Frank is the latest superdelegate to weigh in on the Democratic nomination fight, declaring that whoever is behind after the last primaries on June 3 should drop out and not drag out the race to the convention. Frank told the Associated Press today that that should be the case, even if the trailing contender is the one he supports, Hillary Clinton.”

The problem, Mr. Frank, is that the Clinton Campaign seems intent on continually changing the metrics so it's great to call upon whoever is behind to drop out but you need to be clear on what determines "behind".
The walls are closing in on Hillary !!
Her reluctant supporters see that
We're NOT gonna wait until the Convention to decide this thing

Hillary wants to 'blackmail' Obama into putting her on the ticket !!

NO WAY, JOSE !!

Run for the Presidency of the Arabian Horse Society !!
You're doin' a heckuva of a job, Hil !!
Rally behind the Party Leaders if their advice is sound, and their argument is just. It is our election to lose.
I agree with Frank.  At this point, I believe, a protracted fight only hurts Dems. in not giving them time to prepare for the General.  Note, I'm not trying to tap down future voting, just saying that that is how it seems as a matter of practicality.  I wish, if this race were to continue, that it would be more constructive on issues and that it would also focus on why the Dems are a better choice on issues over McCain.

But of course, I've been saying that for awhile.

Obama 08
Oh my God....The whole world is watching the Democrat`s Race. As an Indepedent...The polls has been showing that Obama has more chances to win in Fall against McCain as Hillary does...That`s one of the reasons why McCain wants to Obama out of the race, so he can get on, on Hillary....The Democrats...should ask themselves, why should  McCain believes, he`s going to win against Hillary...And I think...The Republican still holds something in hand...may be another Bosnia-Story...from Hillary`s White-House Records...who knows..one thing is sure McCain prefers Hillary in Fall as Obama...WHY..
MSNBC just reported an Indiana Super delegate has Endorsed Barack.Update from 1st Read, maybe?

No silver spoon's in the Obama household, as both come from a far more different upbringing than Hillary or McCain.

I have no idea how the debate will go tonight towards Pennsylvania's voter's decision next tuesday, but if the Veteran's townhall from yesterday is an indication, Hillary just may be in trouble there.

American's are Bitter, Angry, Frustrated, whatever word you care to call it, but skyrocketing prices, coupled with Rising gasoline prices on a daily bases just as warm wheather comes, is Not Good for Any incumbent Politician.

No doubt Wolf & CNN will have a few softball question's for Hillary tonight. Also, no doubt, he'll try to get Barack to attack Hillary in front of a Natinal audience. It's just the way Wolf is.

Barack Obama for POTUS!
CNN debate...{snooze}...

I'll wait for Keith's analysis...thanks.
And of course Barney Frank's sister is Ann Lewis, the number 2 or 3 person in Hillary's campaign.
Ya know the supers are not being led around by the nose as the bots here, the SUPERS have brains and in depth knowledge.
They also know who can win the GE and it ain't BO!
How many arms of black delegates has he had to twist?
How big the AA population of the states he has won?
How many votes in the GE will he get?
