First thoughts: All about North Carolina?

*** All about North Carolina? So which May 6 state is more important to Clinton -- Indiana or North Carolina? Sure, many in the media (and in the Clinton campaign) are pointing to Indiana, because the race is likely to be very close. But isn't North Carolina the opportunity for Clinton to either prove or disprove momentum? The state isn't just a pothole for Clinton in her comeback bid, it's a potential sinkhole. It's a big state, not some small red state. And the gains Clinton made in the popular vote, thanks to Pennsylvania, could be wiped away completely in the Tar Heel State. And because the popular vote is now the most important measuring stick to the Clinton campaign, they have to figure out a way to either pull the upset or make the Obama victory margin so close that it will serve as a wakeup call to the superdelegates. It's been said a bunch of times, but we'll say it again: Obama can't seem to convince Clinton to get out until he beats her in a place that demographically favors her, and she can't convince superdelegates that he's really unelectable unless she beats him in a place that demographically favors him. And since the burden still remains with Clinton to catch up, it may mean North Carolina is actually more make-or-break than Indiana.

VIDEO: NBC News Political Director Chuck Todd discusses the importance of North Carolina to Hillary Clinton and the different ways to calculate the popular vote in the Democratic race.

*** I’ve got friends in high places: After 45 contests, this pattern has emerged in the Clinton-Obama race: The person who has received the best political endorsements in a state has ended up winning that contest. Ed Rendell and Michael Nutter were HUGE for Clinton in Pennsylvania, especially in keeping down Obama’s margins in Philly. So was Ted Strickland for Clinton in Ohio. Meanwhile, Obama got big help from Claire McCaskill in Missouri and Tim Kaine in Virginia. There are a few exceptions, of course -- Clinton lost Maryland (where she had the support from Gov. Martin O’Malley and Sen. Barbara Mikulski), and Obama lost Massachusetts (Ted Kennedy and Deval Patrick) and Arizona (Janet Napolitano). But that’s about it. What does this tell us for the upcoming May 6 contests? It looks like Clinton might have the advantage with supporters like Evan Bayh and former Gov. Joe Kernan, as well as the chairman of the state party. And Obama seems to have the clear advantage in North Carolina, where almost every notable state politico who has endorsed is backing him.

*** In search of a validator: Speaking of endorsements, it seems that Clinton is in need of a endorsement from a top Democrat as evidence that the tide -- as she and her campaign are arguing -- is really turning. She needs the equivalent of what Ted Kennedy and the Kennedy clan did for Obama after South Carolina. Who’s potentially out there? Al Gore. John Edwards. Nancy Pelosi. Jim Webb. Even someone like Montana Gov. Brian Schweitzer or Elizabeth Edwards. Murtha was a good get for Clinton a few weeks ago, and now she needs someone else to jump aboard the Clinton Express to suggest to superdelegates and the press that the momentum is on her side. For now, the only "progress" Clinton's made with her recent success is simply slowing the superdelegate trickle to Obama's side. She needs to show the public and the supers that others actually believe she can win -- not just survive until the end of the primary calendar.

*** That front-loaded calendar: Here's a thought that hasn't gotten much play, but might be the single biggest reason why Obama has clinched yet: The frontloading gave Clinton an early safety net. How much better would Obama have performed in many of those Super Tuesday states had the contests been held later? Writes the LA Times’ Skelton: “Californians can be thankful the state held its presidential primary on the earliest day legally possible. And Hillary Rodham Clinton should be especially grateful. Clinton probably wouldn't even be in the race today if California had not rescued her candidacy way back on Super Tuesday, Feb. 5, by delivering a timely victory that helped keep her afloat. The Pennsylvania primary Tuesday likely would have been irrelevant." This is a moot point now -- the calendar is the calendar. But it's a reminder of just how important Feb. 5 was to Clinton and how damaging it was to her when she couldn't clinch it by then. For now, this is simply something for historians to ponder.

*** A Big Easy? McCain’s tour today takes him to New Orleans, where he will make a stop in the Ninth Ward and hold a media avail there. Afterwards, he holds a town hall in the city and then heads to Baton Rouge, where he will raise money and attend a business banquet. As much as Iraq has hurt President Bush’s poll numbers and the GOP’s brand, Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath broke their backs and helped contribute the Democrats’ midterm election sweep. Can McCain’s visit there begin to repair the political damage? Meanwhile, the Louisiana Democratic Party will be holding a news conference in New Orleans, where they will argue that McCain voted against measures to boost reconstruction aid and also remind reporters that McCain endorser John Hagee said that Katrina was God’s punishment to New Orleans sinners.

*** Numbers, numbers, numbers: Obama picked up two superdelegates to Clinton’s one yesterday, bringing Clinton’s advantage to 263-239. A new addition: the uncommitteds. There are 293 superdelegates still to be had (230 of those are named; there are 63 vacancies/add-ons.) Obama leads by 133 delegates overall: 1,729-1,596. He also leads by 157 in the pledged count: 1,490-1,333. The Pennsylvania pledged count (as of 6:15 pm Wednesday) was Clinton 82-73, with three delegates still to be allocated.

*** On the trail: Elsewhere, Clinton campaigns in North Carolina, hitting Jacksonville, Fayetteville, and Asheville; Obama is down in Chicago; and Chelsea Clinton stumps in Indiana.

All of the analysis in the world will not change the basic perception that the media gives HiLIARy a free ride. Honestly, why is Obama still riddled and hamstrung more by Rev. Wright than HiLIARy is about blatant lies on Bosnia?  He didn’t do anything wrong, she did.

I am glad the NYT and a few reporters jumped all over her yesterday.  Her latest blatant lies on the popular vote totals are absurd.  Why isn’t she being blasted for her nuke Iran comments?  If Obama made those statements, he would be vilified.  Her list of errors, gaffes, lies and negative politics is a mile long.  Yet, she gets a free pass.  So I ask again, why does the media fear her and give her so much latitude?  Her negative ratings are so low, she can afford to keep up the negative campaigning and not fear any more damage to her base.  If she had been properly questioned and cornered on all of her lies, inconsistencies, flip-flopping on MI & FL, moving the goal post arguments, tax returns, the Clinton Library list of donors, her role in NAFTA, etc. maybe the results would have been different in PA and Ohio.  Her voters are all fanatics.  You know about fanatics, all the angels in heaven cannot change their mind and they never shut up.

I wish Sierra in SF ran the mainstream media in this country.  She goes after HiLIARy in a manner which others should emulate.
Ever notice every next primary is where Obama finally "closes the deal", but he never does. Lots of buyers remorse being seen towards Obama by the Deomcrats. This is exactly why the Democrats invented the concept of the "Superdelegate", that is, to right the wrong of the voters if they picked an inferior candidate.
There are THREE (3) possible scenarios:

(1) (MOST LIKELY)

Obama       53%
McCain      47%

(2)

Clinton     49%
McCain      51%

(3) (IF SUPERDELEGATES OVERTURN ELECTED DELEGATE RESULTS)

Clinton     27%
McCain      73%
I hope Democratic NC voters will realize that Hillary is the only chance we have of beating McCain.
I hope Hillary will win or do really well.

The Democrats started their campaign waaaay too early. Now they want to end it. Small wonder, people are sick of these two nitwit candidates.
Her voters are all fanatics.  You know about fanatics, all the angels in heaven cannot change their mind and they never shut up.
********
Chuck in NY:  I'm sure you meant Obama voters are all fanatics. Re: comment in the article that CA saved Clinton. If the DNC hadn't acted like paternalistic bullies and dismissed MI and FL, it would seem Obama would have been out after those states voted.
Please... Hillary the only chance of winning?

Independents think she's dishonest, and independents decide elections.

Not only can't she be on top of a winning ticket, she can't even be on the ticket. Some might try to convince Obama to pick her, for sake of unifying the party, but he simply can't. No one can take on a running mate with negatives at 53.
Hillary trying to spin her victory in the PA till she puked shows how desperate she has become.  She has a lawsuit she will have to testify in soon and many more lies and stories to tell in the upcoming months.

Considering the liberals ran Louisiana before and after Katrina, to keep blaming President Bush for the Katrina mess is still a good laugh.  That's why people in Louisiana got rid of the democratic governor.

With Hillary basically telling southerners to go (expletive) themselves, i cannot see how any southerner can actually talk about voting for Hillary.

You often describe the superdelegate count, but one important stat does not seem to be reported.
Of the 230 already named superdelegates who are uncommitted, what is the breakdown based on States won. The SD's are inclined to follow their state pledged votes, are they not, so that number should be a useful indicator.
Clinton lost the nomination on Tuesday.  She didn't win big enough, and it's now impossible for her to win (by the rules of the game) as long as the Obama campaign doesn't somehow self-implode.  The popular vote count the Clintons are trying to pull is just rediculous and arbitrary, as it counts states that didn't even have legitimate elections, it excludes out the anti-Clinton vote in Michigan, and it excludes caucus states.  How is the media giving them a free pass on this "Some but not others" Clinton argument?  They literally want to exclude legitimate elections for elections that were entirely illegitimate... and they only want to partially count those!

She's already lost...

Oh, and congratulations to the Clinton campaign yesterday for making enough money to pay off their staggering debt!
Hillary just needs to give this up. If she somehow manages to take tne nomination, she will fail miserably. The amount of damage that she would inflict on th Democractic party would last for years. Hillary's quest for power is disgusting.
Why is it buyer's remorse with Obama but not with Hillary (The Inevitable One) Clinton?
I've always thought the frontloading gave Senator Clinton a HUGE advantage.  Clinton was a known quantity, and Senator Obama had to play catch up.

Her inability to be truthful should be a concern to all voters.  Why do you want that back in the White House?  Her threats with Iran should worry people too.

As to Clinton being the best chance to beat McCain?  Only the uninformed really believe that.  That is why the Republicans are pushing her candidacy.  She will be far easier to defeat.  They have so much to go after her on, and she has driven her own negatives up even among the Democratic voters.

If she should become the candidate, I will have a very tough time voting for her, given her outrageous behavior.  The only thing that will make me do it is potential Supreme Court nominees from Senator McCain.
Is it true that, as reported by Keith Olbermann last night, Clinton Campaign advisors suggested it was crucial that Senator Obama win Indiana because it bordered his home state of Illinois...this after Senator Clinton lost Vermont and Connecticut?

I'd also point out that Senator Clinton also lost Louisiana, Mississippi and Missouri, all states that border Arkansas.
HILLARYS DOING VERY GOOD RIGHT NOW AND NO MATTER WHAT ANY ONE SAYS SHE HAS JUST A GOOD A CHANCE AS OBAMA HAS TO BE THE NOMINEE  SHE MAY STILL COME OUT AHEAD IN THE END IF SHE CAN WIN THE REST OF THE STATES  COME ON Elizabeth Edwards GIVE HER YOUR SUPPORT AND JOHNS AND EVERONES WHO WANT THIS COUNTRY TO PROSPER AGAIN LIKE WHEN BILL WAS PRESIDENT GO HILLARY
I am tired of trying to refute mindless arguments from the group think "media". But anyway:

1. The problem with the ABC debate was not tough questioning for Senator Obama but the lack of BALANCE in the questioning. Not one NAFTA/CAFTA question? Really?

2. Questions like: "Why did Obama select his church?" and "Why do white working class voters prefer Clinton?" are pointless. Regardless of the answer, there isn't anything to be done about either one. It is what it is. Asked and answered. Draw your own conclusions and MOVE ON for pete's sake!

3. The most important stastistics from Pennsylvania are these: Over 65% of voters feel that Senator Clinton attacked Senator Obama unfairly and that she is dishonest. 54% of them voted for her anyway. Enough said. You can't say you didn't know.

Obama '08
Richardson was from a state won by Clinotn and backed Obama. so it appears who won isn't really the issue with superdelegates. it also appears that any of these allegiances is fragile. Superdepegates could change their minds.

Elizabeth Edwards already endorsed Clinton's health care plan as superior to the rest. Could a full endorsement follow?

McCain is already showing his true neo con colors...he's disgusting, like his soiled depends.
The front loaded calendar piece was kind of bogus.  It would also have been great for Clinton had Florida and Michigan been full allowable contests as she would have won them.  It would also have been good had New Hampshire come before Iowa.  The what if game could go on forever so it's really a non-starter.
The "front loaded calendar" blurb above - we all know MSNBC is plugging, pushing and drooling for Obama, but come on.  Do you have any sense of professional journalism?  Why don't you go back and "suppose this" and "suppose that" about the assasination of Kennedy, the bombing of Pearl Harbor, if Gore would have won, if I would have ordered Kung Pao chiken last night instead of beef and broccoli.  Let's suppose all the scandals of St. Obama had been out before Iowa - do suppose he would be as far as he is now?
God Bless America!

MSNBC - I would appreciate it if you would post this, I know your posting ratio is 4 pro Obamas to 1 pro Hillary, and you do have your reputation to keep, but I would appreciate it if everyone could have their say.
Yes, let's NOT forget the Republican failure-on-a-massive-scale in New Orleans. McShame can sell himself with Bush's "compassionate conservative" label, but we've seen how comassionate the "God attacks N.O. sinners" conservatives are.
Interesting......

What's striking to me about this race is that it is the young insurgent who is still acting as the responsible party elder; and the former president/wife who are behaving like a children who will destroy their own party in order to soothe their own sense of entitlement and ego. -- Andrew Sullivan
People who think Hillary can beat McCain more so than Obama haven't really looked at her demographics.  They are just as likely to vote for McCain when it comes right down to it.  Afterall, they are the Reagan democrats.  She can't expect to receive the support of young voters, black voters, and independents if she wins simply by the superdelegates deciding differently.  I for one am offended by someone being rewarded for not following the rules and lying.  Let America at least be a honest nation and realize that she has lied and will continue to lie if it means she wins.  I just wonder if all of her blue collar supporters know about her "screw them" comment.
Obama needs to correct his weakness problem and be more specific to working class voters.

I would say Lee Hamilton's endorsement of Obama is far more important that Bayh's endorsement of Clinton. Let's not forget that Hamilton was vice chairmen of the 9/11 Council and is on the Homeland Security Council – the man knows more about our national security threats and needs than almost anyone and he sees Obama as the best candidate.

We should also acknowledge that Obama has demonstrated his ability to work with Republicans through his joint effort with Dick Lugar on the Nonproliferation initiative.
Hillary now says she's winning the popular vote, by counting Mich & Fla and by NOT counting caucus states! Unbelievable. Well I worked hard in our Washungton State caucus and I don't like being told that I don't count. We played by the rules, Mich & Fla didn't. Yet another stinkin lie from Clinton.
P.S. Hey First Read, where's mainstream wall to wall airing of the video clip of Rendell & Farakan? Unbised media?? Yea right.
Ah come on democrats stop trying to give the Republicans credit for what you built in New Orleans in 60 years. Be proud of what you created. It was all by design with your social engineering.
NC is a possible sink-hole for Hillary? Hey Chuck, how many more does she get? Bill said Texas was a must win. You all said she had to win Pa. by 68 %. She did'nt.
I think it is funny how Obama has been taken to the cleaners over Rev. Wright and that Hillary is trying so hard to convince people that she is the best to go up against McCain. Really, if she wins this thing and McCain gets nasty, Hillary people will soon realize what all she has in that baggage she carries. Not just Bill, but Hillary's baggage. Then they will wish they would have listened to Obama.
When its all said and done the Clinton Name Brand will have as much value as Enron Stock.

I can't believe I held on to their stock this long.  What a bunch of FRAUDULANT LIARS!

when are you guys going to report this important day in the Supreme Court (paul V clinton), re: Campaign Fraud.....it starts tomorrow...in the Supreme Court....just wondering when you guys think it'll be relevant...hmmmmmm?
Hillary isn't going to win North Carolina thereby eliminating her "big" win in PA. Nothing really has changed no matter how the Clinton's try to spin things. Obama is STILL ahead in delegates, popular vote, etc., and no matter HOW they spion it.....it's a fact. She can't win. Period. Game over.
Why Hilary absolute best outcome is vice president.

After following the rules by the Democratic Party, Obama is on the brink of winning the most pledge delegates.  For the Party to take this nomination away from him will reflect the sentiment and doubts African American have in the back of head: “No matter how hard we try to get ahead in life and no matter how much we follow the rules there will be someone there to take it away from you”.

The most loyal block of the Democratic Party, African Americans, will stay home or even worst vote Republican- if the Republican were able to build up enough outrage about the fairness of not nominating Barack Obama. This is unlikely because of John McCain voting record- Martin Luther King Day.  McCain has now started courting African American for good reasons.  On abortion, gay marriage, and religion African Americans are align with the Republican; hence, it would be that difficult for African Americans to switch party but this will only happen if and only if the Republican can show and prove they care about minorities.  Democrats must choose Obama has their nominee in order to minimize African American backlash which would last over 40 years.

Hilary Clinton has knock Obama down from his pedestal and only leave him with only one decision:  He must choose her as his vice president or another female with strong national security experience.  Obama can win the Presidency if Hilary is the vise president.

The ramifications for awarding the nomination to Hilary Clinton is too big of a price to pay for a family who was once consider the darling of the party.

The tide is turning only with the spin Hillary's put on it. In that case, a category 5 hurricane is on it's way, but she'll be the one with the blown over campaign in NC.
Yes, let's NOT forget the Republican failure-on-a-massive-scale in New Orleans. McShame can sell himself with Bush's "compassionate conservative" label, but we've seen how comassionate the "God attacks N.O. sinners" conservatives are.
Class Warrior, D.C. (Sent Thursday, April 24, 2008 9:46 AM

You had a state of liberals running the place when the hurricane hit.......

A liberal mayor who was more concerned about making sure his family got out of town then his own people(which I can understand).

A liberal mayor who let the school bus's drown because he could not find people to drive them......

A liberal mayor who let the hooligans run the city until the national guard come in and fix it.

A liberal mayor who makes comments about chocolate cities.....

They took out the liberal governor....
replaced her with a republican.......

Kind of hard to blame President Bush for something that was the liberals fault to begin with!
It seems in all the excitement over Hillary's Penn win one fact is being overlooked. Her victory was not as much a statement of her popularity in Penn. but more a testament of the political strength of one
Ed Rendell and the Pennsylvania Democratic machine. How else do you explain the surprising exit polls that suggest people voted for HRC even while having a very low opinion of her honesty and truthfulness. How is this possible? I'll tell you, I am from Chicago and I am 55 years old. I have seen the power of the Daley Machine. that can deliver votes against all odds. No Tues was not a victory for Hillary it was a Flexing of muscle by the Rendell Machine. The same Machine that will throw it's weight behind an Obama presidential run.
I don't think the Obama campaign should go low with smear. He got to where he is by taking the high road and running on a new kind of politics. Hillary, on the other hand, represents all that is foul with our current method of running for office. A lot of people say she took pages out of Rove's playbook, but I think Rove actually learned the game from the Clinton's back in the early 90's.

Having said that, I don't think Obama can win by playing Hillary's game - she's a master at it. He needs to make his own rules and go to a place where Hillary is uncomfortable, like promoting integrity, and good moral character. You know, the natural abilities that make a leader.

This doesn't mean that the Obama campaign shouldn't be smart and just ignore Hillary's (and Bill's) past. There is a system in place to safely illuminate the heap she drags with her, and that is the 527's. I'm frankly surprised that MoveOn and others haven't hit her hard with her past. After all, it isn't like there's a lack of material.

A rather humorous look at some of the Clinton Years highlights can be found at http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/4/23/144457/203/560/501832

What's really scary is that a lot of people thought this piece actually represented a real Clinton supporter.

A status conference hearing is scheduled for Friday, April 25, 2008, in Los Angeles California,  to finally set a trial date in Paul vs. Clinton.
California Superior Judge Aurelio N. Munoz delayed setting a trial date back in February, but is scheduled to set a trial date this Friday.
Judge Munoz ruled back in February that Paul's legal team can begin seeking depositions from a host of big names – including Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton, along with an A-list of Hollywood celebrities that allegedly were witnesses to an effort by the Clintons and top Democratic leaders to extract millions of dollars from Paul in illegal donations and then cover it up.  Discovery in the trial is expected to start in May.  The Clintons have tried to dismiss the case, but the California Supreme Court, in 2004, upheld a lower-court decision to deny the motion.
The complaint says Bill Clinton promised to promote Paul's Internet entertainment company, Stan Lee Media, in exchange for stock, cash options and massive contributions to his wife's 2000 Senate campaign. Paul contends he was directed by the Clintons and Democratic Party leaders to produce, pay for and then join them in lying about footing the bill for an August 2000 Hollywood gala and fundraiser.
The Clintons' legal counsel has denied the former president made any deal with Paul.  But Paul's attorney Colette Wilson has stated there are witnesses who say it was common knowledge at Stan Lee Media that Bill Clinton was preparing to be a rainmaker for the company after he left office.
Paul claims former Vice President Al Gore, former Democratic Party chairman Ed Rendell and Clinton presidential campaign chairman Terry McAuliffe also are among the people who can confirm Paul engaged in the deal.
The complaint also asserts that Senator Clinton filed four false reports to the FEC of Paul's donations in an attempt to distance herself from him after a Washington Post story days after the August 2000 fundraiser reported his past felony convictions. Clinton then returned a check for $2,000, insisting it was the only money she had taken from Paul.  But one month later, she demanded another $100,000, to be hidden in a state committee using untraceable securities.
Senator Clinton was dismissed from the case as a defendant, but Munoz already has made it clear he won't accept any attempts to block Senator Clinton from serving as a material witness.  The judge told Clinton's lawyer David Kendall: "Well, any opposition is probably going to be dead on arrival, if that will – if you understand what I'm saying, Mr. Kendall."
DOJ Prosecutor Dan Schwaber told a jury in May, 2005 at the trial of Hillary’s finance director David Rosen, that it was a crime “to deny the public’s right to know that Peter Paul personally gave more than $1.2 million to Hillary’s national campaign”.
Paul has outlined the entire case in a one hour documentary entitled, Hillary Uncensored, Banned by the Media.
Although Paul is a three time convicted felon, he has passed a lie detector's test in answering questions as to whether there was an agreement made for Stan Lee Media to hire Bill Clinton once he left the White House.  Paul also claims he has several hours of home video of Senator Clinton, and states, "her own words will indict her".
How much longer will the media continue to cover-up this case for Senator Clinton and deny the voters right to know about this trial?
If Barack Obama or the media doesn't begin to ask questions about the upcoming Peter Paul trial, and the four false FEC reports that were filed, John McCain and the GOP will.
When this race started my family and extended family were torn between the 2 candidates and the clinton supporters honestly felt she was going to drown Obama with the power of her experience and knowledge on the issues. The Obama supporters argued he had a very good grasp of the issues to withstand her assault , plus some charisma. Some likened it to Al Gore fighting a John kerry with a lot more Charisma. Have to admit Clinton also had a lot more of the women 60 to 40. Today only one person remains in her camp out of 18 and they all cite ...this need to do absolute anything, say anything to win. Sure it's the most important job in the world, one worth fighting for, but also one worth keeping your integrity for.
I hope Democratic NC voters will realize that Hillary is the only chance we have of beating McCain.
I hope Hillary will win or do really well.

Delores Rose-Kennedy (for me it is, if not Hillary then McCain)

IF its Hillary then it will definite;y be McCain. If Hillary can't beat a virtual unknown like Obama, how can she defeat McCain? The GOP will NOT take the high ground like Obama has.
Also with all her support....Why is she always running out of money? That 10mil. they "claimed" they raised is pocket change for the Obama campaign. Before PA she had 9 mil,but was 10 Mil in debt.
Obama is "sitting" on 43 Mil After PAYING HIS BILLS,and has money coming in everyday!
How anybody thinks she can run the nations economy when she can't manage her own campaign's finances is beyond me! I am starting to agree with the "whispers" that her supporters aren't that smart.
I hope we don't have to gamble on Obama beating McCain.  He's just not tough enough to make it.  Hillary, on the other hand, has had to toughen up over the years and has a record on landing on her feet.  She's smart and what we really need right now is someone very very smart!
If not Hillary it is McCain for me. Never Obama!!!!
I am from Florida and maybe they will count my vote for McCain in the general.
Obama got vilified for saying he would meet with the President of Iran yet Hillary talks about a nuclear attack and you don't see it in the news for all but 30 seconds.  To me the media is racist and tell me if Obama had lost 11 in a row would the wolves not been howling intensely for him to get out of the race.
A question on tne numbers:  Has Clinton improved her margin in any state primary or caucus from one month, three weeks out?  What about Obama?  Doesn't he usually make huge gains, while Clinton loses or barely holds on?
Elizabeth
Stop blaming Bush and the Republican's for what happened in New Orleans...according to the religious freaks who support and have endorse McCain, and who McCain has stated to be honored to receive their endorsements, Katrina was God's wrath on N.O. for having a gay pride march and for being a sinful city in general.  Please note my sarcasm here...its utterly rediculous for anyone to blame gays for Katrina.
guess the NYT is really going to push this for Hillary all the way down the line - absolutely pathetic!!!  This is total BS.  Hillary had an advantage all along in PA, she was up by 20 points.  She beat Obama by less than 10.  So she does well among old, white uneducated voters.  She is not good for the democratic party. Hillary is politics as usual and totally untrustworthy.  She makes me sick.
Boom then Bust...so went the nation so went Billary....
Hasn't the nation suffered enough? Why, why, why do we have to endure Hillary's assault on Obama for the next three months? I want to be for something for a change, I am tired of hating my President and his administration, hating three quarters of the media, hating the dumb dumb dummies in other parts of the country, (you know who you are.) I just want decent leadership, a positive direction. Al Gore, where are you?
As a Obama supporter, I am basically fed up.  Starting with the media, they spin Rev Wright, who cares where you go to church, the media could drop that but they dont.  But they dropped Bonsia, NAFTA, CAFTA, CLINTON bashing MoveOn.Org, CLinton telling Bush not to attend opening ceremony games, but accepting monies form Alibaba who posts the "MOST WANTED LIST" for Tibetan Activists.  I dont get it.  The media wants Clinton, I have not figured out why, is it race? is it something to talk about? is it just Clinton admiration? but I am sadden, as a patriotic 55 year old white woman...who is not backing Hillary along with Media!
