Delegate update: NM SEN backs Obama

Posted: Monday, April 28, 2008 3:26 PM by Domenico Montanaro

From NBC's Domenico Montanaro
Obama just picked up the support of Sen. Jeff Bingaman (NM), the campaign announced. Bingaman chairs the Energy and Natural Resources Committee. Obama leads among senators 15-12 among senators, not including those from Michigan and Florida. But factoring in even the support Clinton has from Sens. Debbie Stabenow (MI) and Bill Nelson (FL) -- Carl Levin (MI) is uncommitted -- Bingaman gave Obama the lead, 15-14. Obama has now picked up five superdelegates to Clinton's two since her nearly double-digit win in Pennsylvania.

SUPERDELEGATES: Clinton 264-242 (289 uncommitted)
PLEDGED: Obama 1,491-1,334

OVERALL: Obama 1,733-1,598

The tide continues to turn toward OBAMA!

Good-bye, Billary!
Drip Drip Drip.

Clinton should read the writing on the wall and stop running McCain's campaign.
Thank you Senator Bingaman. Thank you for not dragging your heels until June to endorse! Call a few of your buddies and get them to move, too. I'd like this nomination to be wrapped up right after May 6th!
Drip... drip... drip...
HERE COMES THE TIDAL WAVE OF SUPERS. LET'S END THIS!

Great news.

Drip, drip, drip.
Dear Fellow Americans,

Our Great-grand Nation, the United States of America
is and will face very critical "Challenges" in coming
years and decades.

The Problems will be tough and solutions would not
easy.

The key will the cool, calm, and collectedness of our
next President[ What I call Presidential Temperament'
The one remaining candidate who has consistently that
Presidential Temperament is Senator Obama.

His message of change makes sense. We have to stop
doing business in Washington old ways. The new ways of
lifting each other up and stopping tearing each other
down will not held our Great grand Nation. The
Terrorists around the world[real] and inadvertently
assisted by some shortsighted media [Who are party to
this perpetuation of psychological terrorism of
mis-information, dis-information, and duplicity], that
is what we do not need.

In order to send the message around the world that
America is get Senator Obama our next president. At
least on thing he has shown consistently is the
presidential Temperament. The Temperament of our next
president is very critical address internal and
internal challenges. Let us defeat real external
terrorists snd internal psychological terrorists once
for all.

God Bless out Great grand Nation, its diverse people,
and Senator Obama. He is the ans her to our future
stability, security, safety, and regain our status in
the world.

Most excellent!!!!
"Stop The Drama: Vote For Obama"
OBAMA '08
Hil Hil Hil Hillary!!!  You need another 10 Million dollar day.  You had better contact Obama for some "HOPE".
Chairman of Energy and Natural Resources!  That's what were talkin about!!
I thought the super delegate total was 794 now and not 795.
Meanwhile, back in the real world, the Obama campaign continues a steady march toward the Presidency.
only a 22 superdelegate lead? drip, drip, drip...
Drip...Drip...Drip.... superdelegates coming to Obama.

Hillary Go back to NY.  You can't win any election polling only 59% of the African American vote in a general election (rasmussen polls).
Thank you Senator Bingaman for your support of Obama. Please SuperDelegates, come forward for Obama! How many is this since PA? Six?
Thank you Senator Bingaman.
This is classic!! Obama gets negative press, yet another SD is announced.

I wonder how many actual "undecided" superdelegates are there? I wouldnt be surprised if the Obama camp has 30-40 more in the bag waiting for a major victory. If he had won PA, he probably would have announced them all. Look for the same if he sweeps next Tues, at least 15 will announce.
One more, 289 to go!!!
Please, please superdelegates, make your choice, support Obama and finish this nomination process which already is way too long.
Drip, drip, drip. Step aside Hillary and save some face before you literally bleed to death.
Bring it on!!!
your numbers don't match your Politics landing/home page ... please update us, thanks. (Also need a new review on the delegates breakdown including the number of uncommitted delegates out there both pledged and supers)
Shouldn't that be named the Energy and Natural Resources We're saving for our future World Thug Masters Committee?
I guess democrats don't want to pick a winner...Hillary, who's beating McCain by significant numbers in most if not all head to head polls.  Obama is unelectable because of his age, inexperience, ultra left win liberal policies, and the racist and unpatriotic comments from his religious mentor of more than 20 years.
Thank you Sen. Bingham.
So, let me get this right..... Obama has netted 60+ super delgates since super tuesday, and what was that number for Hillary?

But, I thought that Hillary was the electable one?
Hmmmmm makes me wonder if there are more people who feel that Obama is better suited for the job than Hillary.

Also, what about that "Hillraiser" that defected to Obama's camp.  I mean, after generating over $500,000.00 for her campaign and just to up-and-leave to Obama's camp has to hurt.  Well, I guess well just have to wait and see what happens.  She might still have a chance, right?
Very good to see that some have the courage to vote their conscience in the midst of this media blitz on Obama. It is obvious that the media and GOP want him out of the picture because none of Hillary's baggage is being "inspected." What about the Clinton Peter Paul fraud case and Gennifer Flowers' new, explosive book called, "Sleeping With The President", in which she  alleges that Bill told  her ," Hillary has slept with more women than I have." Please understand that I have nothing against people who choose to lead a homosexual lifestyle. But I DO have trouble with disingenuous people!! None of these controversies about Senator Clinton are aired by the media.  Heck, I doubt that this blog makes its way on here!
I am not voting for a woman, I am not voting for a black,I am not voting for a republican.....I am voting for a real President.....Barak Obama!!
smart guy! I hope this continues every day! We need to get past the media ratings 'snippets' and extraneous nonsense and on to the real issues.
finally....

THANKS NBC ;)

for being honest, although it takes you an hour or two after everyone knows about this amazing endorsements for Obama, keep up the good work!

Worth mentioning, it is interesting to notice that when an endorsement is for Hillary, you rush to publish it.... interesting

HILLARY-NBC 08

CHUCK TODD FOR VP OR MONTANARO? HILLARY IS TRICKING YOU GUYS, IT WILL NOT BE ANY OF YOU.... BE FAIR
Thank you Senator Bingaman!  Please ask your superdelegate friends to endorse Senator Obama soon!!!
Lets go ahead and keep it going.....drip...drip....drip....DDAY MAY 6th
So how many is that since he lost PA? 4? 5? More than Clinton I know that much. She's tapped out.
Keep them coming! Obama will bring us all together!
Why isn't this front and center...why are we still talking about Reverend Wright. Get over it.
Wow - only a difference of 20 committed SuperDelegates now.  Wasn't it only about a week ago that it was a difference of 30 or so?

Obama is gaining.

http://thepajamapundit.com/
I've said it before as have others but if the superdelegates wanted to support Clinton, they would have already done so. Obama is still somewhat of a wait and see but Clinton is a known quantity. That says that many are hoping Obama continues to be the winner but they are unwilling to risk Clinton wrath if they're wrong.

But no matter the "new" math that the Clintons are using, Obama is the winner. The Clintons nearly ruined the Democratic party while in office by neglect plus voter's disgust at his sexual misconduct with a young intern brought us Bush.

It is time to move forward. The worry about losing to McCain is wrong. Yes, Repubs will be nasty and we'll see more of Rev. Wright than his congregation but at some point McCain will falter. The hypocrisy of his high and mighty tone coupled with lobbyist friends and his lack of verbal acuity will finally get his scrutinized by the media, something he's avoided due to the Clinton circus.
I just read the Huffington Post article by Frank Schaeffer.  He said everything I believe and have been trying to articulate for months....but I'm too stupid.  After reading it, I sent in a donation for Obama. I have grandkids who will inherite this country.  I'll keep supporting Obama no matter what.

A high school graduate, blue collar retiree, older white woman for Obama!
Well Well ...Bye Bye Hillary.  Why can't you accept what we have known for over 2 months now. Stop trying to swing things in your direction, stop trying to argue your point against what the rules stipulate, stop bringing down the democrats and start unifying behind our next president - yours and ours.
This is 6 supers for Obama, 2 for Clinton since her PA win.  Next Obama the next few pick ups for Obama will bring the count to under 20.  This is very important....you do not see a stampede to Clinton...very telling
I thought the Super Delegates were afraid to back Obama.

Shows that journalism today is just sensationalism.
Haha … I thought someone was just telling me Clinton had changed the game.

Oh wait, that was Clinton …
Nothing seems to affect Obama. He is on track to victory! Even the clinton supporters should admit that this man, a politician, is different from others.

Another joins the team.
And it just keeps coming!

Obama 2008 - YES WE CAN!!
whoo hoo!  awesome!
Indiana... please deliver for Obama and let us all finally start the healing process.

Thank you Sen. Jeff Bingaman.
Does this count the SD Obama received over the weekend?

Welcome.
