First thoughts: Does Wright go away?

*** Is today the day Wright goes away? Maybe -- at least in the context of the Obama-Clinton campaign. As we speculated yesterday, if there was a silver lining to Wright dominating the news, it was that voters were easily able to distinguish between the two men. Reviews of Wright’s performance at the National Press Club were absolutely brutal. The New York Times’ Alessandra Stanley wrote, “Wright revealed himself to be the compelling but slightly wacky uncle who unsettles strangers but really just craves attention… Wright doesn’t hate America, he loves the sound of his own voice.” If yesterday was the end of the Wright story, then the next week may actually be something the Obama camp looks forward to. Bob Herbert perhaps put Obama’s last six weeks the best: "Obama seems more and more like someone buffeted by events, rather than in charge of them.” And that's something that he has to change soon if he hopes to change the subject in time to put Clinton away on May 6. Also, Obama began a stronger pushback on Wright late last night, per NBC’s Andrea Mitchell: "My opponents realize they don't have the better argument so what they're now saying is 'Well, I don't know about Obama. You know, we, we gotta, we gotta know more about him and you know, he doesn't wear a flag pin. His former pastor said something and he's, he's got uh, we don't know what his values are. We don't know if he's patriotic. He's got a funny name, you know, it sounds, sounds Muslim.’ That, that's what's dominated. That is what has dominated political coverage over the last several weeks."

*** The downballot effect: Republicans are certainly linking Obama to Democrats running in two upcoming special congressional elections. In Mississippi, Greg Davis (R) is running an ad using Jeremiah Wright against Travis Childers (D). And in Louisiana, Freedom’s Watch is airing an ad whacking Don Cazayoux (D) by tying him to Obama’s health-care agenda. As our friends at Hotline noted yesterday, these Democrats have been unable to easily swat away these attacks. “Both Dems have succeeded so far by avoiding the liberal tag, and in many cases, the Dem label. But in an interview on XM radio 4/26, Childers avoided discussing the WH race like the plague. In Cazayoux's response ad to GOP attacks, he also ignored the WH contest. Both answers seemed greatly lacking.” But Democrats -- who are thrilled to be playing in these two contests, especially the one in Mississippi -- believe that attacks on Obama could help turn out the sizable African-American populations in both districts. Still, the GOP using Obama in downballot races presents this dilemma to Democrats: Until Obama (or Clinton) wraps up the nomination, it’s hard for the DNC, DCCC, and DSCC to whack back at these kind of attacks on their downballot candidates. And this is why it seems Obama can't beat back these attacks; He's getting hit on three or four fronts, and there are no third-party groups who can help back him up because these groups aren't ready to pick between Clinton and Obama just yet.

VIDEO: NBC Political Director Chuck Todd talks about the aftermath of yesterday's Wright speech, the debate over a Summer gas-tax holiday, and the continued fight for superdelegates.

*** Pump it up: If it hadn’t been for Wright's appearance yesterday, there would have been a substantive policy debate over an issue that would have received a ton of coverage. The issue? A gas-tax holiday. The matter actually has interesting alliances. McCain and Clinton favor a temporary halt to the 18.4-cent federal gas tax (although Clinton calls for a tax on oil company profits to pay for it), while Obama and the White House oppose it. A gas-tax holiday might be good politics -- pander bears anyone? -- but it's viewed by some as lousy policy. In fact, the New York Times confirms Obama’s argument that such a holiday would save consumers no more than $30, about a half of tank of gas. But pander politics can trump intellectual arguments in the short term.

*** Electability watch: Lots of new information for superdelegates to weigh today: A new AP/Ipsos poll has Clinton doing MUCH better against McCain than Obama does; another poll has Obama beating McCain in Wisconsin, but Clinton losing to the Arizona Republican; elected superdelegates, per the Wall Street Journal, see Obama as being the better candidate for Dem downballot candidates; but NRCC chair Tom Cole adds his two cents: “I think [Obama’s] the weaker candidate.” What do all of these things tell us? Doesn’t look like much has changed, at least for now.

*** McCain’s house call: Last week it was poverty; this week it's health care. For a candidate who has been hit with being a one-trick pony (Iraq and national security), McCain is doing what he can to make sure folks realize he'll have a robust domestic agenda. Beginning yesterday, he has launched a week-long focus on health care this week. His plan, not surprisingly is reliant on the free market, which he hopes will drive down the cost of health care by slowly moving folks away from having to rely on employers for health care. The Washington Post identifies a $5,000 tax credit as the centerpiece of McCain's proposal, which would be used for individuals to search out the best insurance for their needs. McCain will also borrow a page from Mike Huckabee and talk about prevention and nutrition. McCain backs up his launch with a statewide TV buy in Iowa focused on health care. Meanwhile, the SEIU begins a $1 million TV ad campaign in Ohio hitting McCain for his lack of attention on rising health-care costs. The ad features Bush and McCain hugging and even shows Bush kissing McCain (a visual we bet we'll see again and again and again). There will be a similar ad set to run in DC and West Virginia, but the Ohio buy is a big one and dwarfs, for instance, any anti-McCain spot the DNC has aired to date.

*** Slow ride, take it Easley: In Raleigh, NC this morning, Clinton received one of her biggest endorsements in the last couple of months -- from North Carolina Gov. Mike Easley -- who comes from one of the upcoming pivotal states: North Carolina Gov. Mike Easley. Per NBC/NJ’s Carrie Dann, Easley was long suspected of being in the Clinton camp, but many believed that he would stay neutral. One key to Clinton's past victories in Ohio and Pennsylvania were the huge endorsements from the governors in those states. Easley's endorsement comes just one week before the state's primary, so Clinton might not be able to tap into his political network/machine the way she did with Strickland’s and Rendell’s. But Easley's help, no matter how late, certainly doesn’t hurt. That said, while Easley is retiring after this year, Obama has endorsements from North Carolina's two gubernatorial candidates. What does that tell us about the makeup of the primary electorate?

*** Crunching the numbers: While Clinton picked up a superdelegate with Easley’s endorsement, Obama yesterday got his own from New Mexico Sen. Jeff Bingaman. Here are the counts: SUPERDELEGATES: Clinton 265-242 (288 uncommitted); PLEDGED: Obama 1,490-1,334; OVERALL: Obama 1,733-1,599.

*** On the trail: After her event in Raleigh, NC, Clinton makes six stops in the Hoosier State -- Indianapolis, Gary, Hobart, Evansville, Princeton, and South Bend; McCain, still in Florida, speaks at a cancer research center at the University of South Florida in Tampa and then raises money in Tampa and Bonita Springs; and Obama holds town halls in Winston-Salem and Hickory, NC. Also, Bill Clinton stumps for his wife in North Carolina.

Trying to tie Rev. Wright's views to Obama's is ridiculous! The fact that Wright, as controversial as he is, is out there making speeches is proof that he and Obama do NOT share the same interests.

Wake up America; Wright is not running for President!

Obama is the best choice for president; he is the only one showing some integrity. I disagree with people that I consider my friends as many others do. In fact, it proves that I am NOT bigot (i.e. only associate with those who share my views). I think it is important to keep those relationships open, especially if you want to keep a dialouge going.

THINK: How can you change minds or enlighten people to your point of view if you are unwilling to associate with them and winning the hearts and minds of people takes time? That is what diplomacy is all about; That is what we desparately need in this country.

Vote Obama 2008
I am embarrassed as an American that so many of my fellow countrymen (media members included) are so ignorant to think that what a man's pastor says will have any indication whatsoever on what kind of president that man will be.  Reverend Wright should not even have his name in the media.  Who cares about him?  What does he have to do with what kind of president Obama would be?  Nothing!  Clinton supporters are just looking for any reason they can to cling to the hope for the presidency, and media members are licking their chops because they reap the benefits of a prolonged, drawn-out fight.
I’m sorry but I see Reverend Wright as extremely effeminate and possibly gay.  He is acting like a woman scorned.  No, make that a strongly minded African American woman scorned.  This relationship is very very very odd. The only reasonable, possible explanation to the Wright/Obamba debacle is that Obama agreed with his mentor for 20 YEARS.  That is why Wright feels free to give his Anti American Speeches while Obama shies away from denouncing him.  Obama cannot denounce nor refused Wright because the truth will come out.  Wright is Obama’s true political liability.  SO ASK YOURSELF WHY?  Why CANT THE NEXT POSSIBLE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES DENOUNCE AND RENOUNCE HIS CRAZY, ANTI-AMERICAN PASTOR?    EASY; WRIGHT KNOWS TOO MUCH and the moment Obama tries to say otherwise this will be the moment Rev.Wright will expose Obama for the fraud he really is.
He won't go away as long as the Clinton Camp is keeping him in the news. According to other news sites I am reading it is a Clinton Supporter actually asking him to speak out. Anyone wonder why?
How about MSNBC covers this "other" side of the story as well.

Dear Senator Obama,

I agree with a "Weary nation Needs You".   It is near trajic for the Demcratic Party that Hillary Clinton chooses to run a campaign from the fringes of the gutter continuously pandering to any segment with whatever promise for a vote. She is seriously taking advantage of people's belief systems in promising everything to everyone providing "false hope".  Hope is not something that should be taken lightly or used as an emotional control for alterior motives. Senator Obama's message for hope is not based on empty promises of everything that you are hoping for, but is based on the hope that all of us working in unity can move past the issues facing our nation today and emerge a stronger more unified country. This is not the Clintons' agenda.  Senator Obama just be presidential. You have answered the questions.  Some will never accept or be satisfied with the answers. There is no need to be like Hillary and "pander" to this segment. Their votes were never yours to have.
Senator Obama just be presidential. A weary nation does need you.
Barack will weather the Wright storm fed by the MSM as voter's care more about gas prices inching towards $4.00 a gallon, the Housing market unable to right itself, Food prices Soaring, Iraq(4 more soldiers killed yesterday-over 4000 so far).

Don't think for a minute that Common Sense voter's can't think for themselves.Barack has been fighting with 1 hand behind his back against 3 Clinton's, Mccain & the Gay Ole Party, plus the MSM nonstop coverage of BS. We did'nt finance a $200 million campaign, to have it taken away by the ever increasing worried Establishment.

Hang in there Barack, America needs You !
I agree with "weary nation needs you".

The real issue is the wars, the economy, health care and illegal immigration. The gas tax holiday is a perfect example. This is the most inane idea to be proposed yet. If implemented it will do little to ease prices for the average consumer regardless of how we pay for it. A better idea would be to attack the root of the problem as proposed by Senator Obama. If a windfall profits tax is imposed on the oil companies then the money should go to a Manhattan style project to solve America's renewable green energy needs.

My vote is for Senator Obama.
GOOD NEWS……… GOOD NEWS …….. GOVERNOR  EASLEY  SAW THROUGH THE RHETORIC AND SPEECH OF THE RACE BAITER AND INEXPERIENCE barack obama AND ENDORSES THE TRULY STRONG AND COMPETENT, HILLARY CLINTON.

The key of Jeremiah Wright speech is barack obama LIED to the American People about he cancelled the appearance of HIS PERSONAL FRIEND and MENTOR to his Presidential launch, but , Jeremiah Wright said he was DOWNSTAIRS advising and strategizing with barack obama before he went upstairs to DECEIVE the American People.

To the American People, listen up, barack ? obama is LIAR and a WOLF in sheep clothing. He believes and say one thing to his Pastor but tells the American People something different to advance whatever narrative they want to hear, because he wants to get ELECTED. These are the words of his ADVISOR, MENTOR, FRIEND, TEACHER AND POLITICAL VOICE.

Judge barack obama by his belief and statements in San Francisco, his stance on talking to hamas and Iran, his supporters like Jimmy Carter, moveon.org, Farrakhan, Ayers, Rezsko and most of the ANTI-WAR HATE AMERICA CROWD.

barack ? obama IS NOT WHO HE SAYS HE IS.THEY WANT TO CALL JEREMIAH WRIGHT CRAZY AND SELFISH, BUT NOTICE WHO ARE THE ONES SAYING THIS AND WHY....... IT'S BECAUSE THEY DON'T WANT THE AMERICAN PEOPLE TO KNOW HOW RADICAL AND DIVISIVE barack obama is.

.......... MASTER CARD MOMENT .....
Whatching olbermann try to explain away Jeremiah Wright TRUTHFUL statements about barack obama being a RADICAL POLITICIAN who wants to be President. .... PRICELESS .

PREDICTIONS ... HILLARY WILL WIN NORTH CAROLINA BY 3 pts AND WIN INDIANA BY 15 pts.
The issue with Obama and Wright is whether Obama is a wolf in sheep's clothing. Obama dedicated his autobiography to Wright, has stated that Wright brought him to Jesus Christ, was married by Wright, his children were baptized by Wright, asked Wright to bless his campaign (which Wright did in the basement of Obama's house), has donated tens of thousands of dollars to Wright, sat in Wright's church for 20 years, has a wife who is an avowed black separationist as judged by her senior Princeton thesis. So who is Obama. The reason the intelligientisa were wowed by Obama is that they thought he represented a post-racial candidate. It seems to me he is a typical black candidate a la Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson who has sought to picture himself as a post-racial candidate. However, his core beliefs are those espouse by Wright. If he found Wright's comments so offensive why did he stay in Wright's church. Was this to maintain his street cred, even though he didn't believe the hate filled rhetoric spewed by Wright. Either way, it seems to me that Obama is not what he seems.
A Clinton Supporter Organized Wright's Press Club Event!!!!

My comments never make it on First Thoughts, let's see if you post this one Chuck.
It was T-Ball questions to David Axlerod by Chris Matthews yesterday.

Earlier in the program he did manage to get a cheap shot on Clinton, a real non sequitor.

In fact yesterday was Obama spin on MSNBC.

This may be a little Machiavellian, but maybe Wright is coming off as a nut job on purpose.  Certainly if he is dismissed as the crazy old uncle the coverage of him may end and Obama can move on.  In the short run, it hurts Obama but it now allows him to dismiss Wright as a guy who has gone a little nutty.  Makes it much easier to ditance himself from him now.
Exactly, on the down ballot, it cuts both ways...these types of ads incite participation, so just be careful Republicans, you get what you get.  Don't be surprised at the turnout you can get to counter your negative ads...just ask Nancy Johnson in CT.

And yes, the Dem hands (somewhat) are tied with both Clinton and Obama still in the race.  It will be different once both parties have their nominee.  Good analysis on that front.

Obama for our best future 08
Julian Bond head of the NAACP is a Clinton supporter who invites Wright to speak?.

Obama is not Wright and this is moer obvious now after watching both (Obama since 2004 and WRight recently) Wright is a guy I recognize amongst a few of my friends - self-centered, believes he knows everything and doesnt even leave unclear areas of research alone. If black folks have a 1-2-4-5 beat and white folks have 2,3,4,6 beat or whatever, so what beat does mixed folks like Obama have? The idiot?

What's with the Wright message of differences does not mean defective. That message belongs in the 60s, we've already accepted that. Obama's message is to look for what is similar in us not the differences (which comes after we have accepted the differences in background and we mostly have). We face similar challenges now - oil prices, foreclosure, weaker economy and dollar, job erosion. I strongly believe Obama is the guy to lead our middle east policy. He has shown the most even temperament and quiet toughness and a good faith belief in others combined with a good dose of diplomacy not the bomb, obliterate rhetoric of the other two that will keep up tension, suspicion, result in actual wars, and high prices that have been slowly inching up the past 15 years and has nearly reached braking point.
I quit watching CNN because of the obvious partiality that played into their broadcasts. I see that the Clinton machine arm of corruption has a hold of MSNBC as well. I am disappointed to see such one-side coverage. Where are the pieces about Clinton's falsehoods and connections to seedy characters. Where is a piece about the controversy with Peter Paul. YouTube has videos validating Paul's claim that Hilary  has lied about her part in the law suit he brought against her and her 'upright' partner - Bill Clinton.
hey you people in the media thinks we the american people are stupid (at least some of us)

we know that you are just playing along the scripted PR stunt by Obama camp trying to seperate obama and wright. we also know that just last week david axelrod obama manager hired a PR firm for Wright. so is it a coincident all of a sudden wright is "attacking" Obama so Obama can very conveniently distance himself from wright. and the media is playing along with this story line. this is a PR stunt by just another politician. some of us are not buying this.
To "A Weary Nation...."
Perhaps YOU are weak and weary. Perhaps YOU are tired of America's success as a nation, and a people.
But WE, The American People are not.
WE are strong, we are united, and we are ready to move forward into the 21st centrury knowing in our hearts that American ingenuity, American technology, Anerican honesty, goodnees, truth and light, and above all The American SPIRIT are all alive, and well.
America is not weak, nor weary.....America is strong.
It is strong because WE THE PEOPLE will it to be so.
Whatever joy you or people like you (who support Obama) derive out of insinuating that America is weak and weary; that only one man offers hope; that only one man can "change" us for the better, is purely un-American, helpless, and hopeless gibberish.
America has existed for 232 years without Barack Obama. It will not crumble tomorrow, or the next day, or the day after that without him.
In fact it will grow stronger. It will get smarter. It will grow more lovely and beautiful than ever before...because that's what America does with every day that passes, regardless of who is President.
Anybody who subscribes to the notion that only one man offers "hope" is, in fact, hopeLESS.
Because they are looking for someone else to live life for them. They're looking for someone ELSE to pave the way for them. They're looking for someone ELSE to do the very things that Americans have always done for themselves!.... and that is to provide HOPE and STRENGTH for, and to themselves and each other by being strong, self sufficient, and by being PROUD of our American heritage.
I know not what course others on this board may take.
But I DO know that I will have NONE of Barack Obama's "learned helplessness." I will not have his weakness forced upon my mind, upon my heart, or upon my soul.
America has, always has had, and will ALWAYS continue to have strength and HOPE....and it will have it long after Barack Obama's name has faded from print.
GOD BLESS AMERICA, KEEP HER STRONG and KEEP HER HOPE ALIVE by KEEPING HER PEOPLE INDEPENDENT and FREE!
Obama says he doesn't agree with Hillary's "gas tax holiday."  He says it would only save about $ 30.00 dollars,  But $30.00 could help a working class family put food on their table to feed their kids.  Most people I know right now are spending all their money on gas just so they can get to work, because the last thing they need right now is to loose their job.
The Obama campaign has this nomination locked up. Hillary's best case is to end up ioo-125 delegates behind after all the primaries. Then the Obama camp can sit back and tacitly dare the superdelegates to overturn these results and give the nomination to Hillary. If the superdelegates do this, Hillary will be lucky to garner the support of half of the Obama backers, nowhere near enough for her to beat McCain. Hillary is running a lose/lose campaign. She has no hope.
Obama will weather this media storm, and yes, it is a media storm.  Perhaps the biggest thing that Rev. Wright highlights with his appeaerance on television is how "white" our media is.  Yes, CNN has Martin Roland, MSNBC has Eugene Robinson, Fox has that "black dude who represents the left". Of course, you won't find one African American as the host of a major pundit show, not one.  So, our world on the televsion is viewed by eyes in a white persons skull. I'm white,  I watch and listen to Rev. Wright on PBS, NAACP speech and the National Press speech and I hear messages, I don't walk away with reasons why he seems different to me.  The "white media" does not listen to what his points are, they walk away with,."oh my God, he mocked Kennedy and Johnson (despite the fact Wright was on a medical team that performed surgery on Johnson), he was angry at Cheney, but the points of what he is saying, well, we'll leave that up to the viewer, because we're just going to show you this funny little man who jiggles when he talks.  Yesterday, Chris Matthew's went on and on about how Wright will be this albatross around Obama's head, yet he fails to state why that is.  While Chris is correct in that observation, he fails to discuss why Wright will hurt Obama, yet explicit in his failure to say "WHY" Wright will hurt Obama is that that the media and most of voting Americans find Wright an odd man.  An odd man, for some reason.  Now what could that reason be? Perhaps Chris doesn't have to say WHY because I think we all know the WHY, we just don't really want to have that discussion.
Rev. Wright, flag pins, bitter, none of this has anything to do with what is going on in our country today. Obama understands where our true priorties lie,
the economy, health care, iraq, infrastucture, energy,
world opinion, world hunger, JOBS, JOBS, JOBS. fair pay.  If you cant see the gop's handy work in ths value junk, you are blind, If you cant see how bad they want to run against Hillary, you are blind. If you think that they are not ready with the most hidious 527,s. you are blind. they have something special waiting for Mrs clinton. I am a 61 year old white female living in the reddest of states, S.C. I see it coming.        VOTE OBAMA   IN, NC,
The Great American Media are at it again! After bringing us that greatest of all hits "100 Years in Iraq" they are working on the new chart buster, "Time to Screw U.S., Again!" Yes, the media are in a frenzy of Obama bashing! Obama is doomed! He can never win, now! That is what MSNBC wants voters to believe. He's a weak candidate. Who cares if MSNBC is complicit in destroying this man. Their ratings couldn't possibly get any higher. The 24/7 repetition of Rev. Wright's outlandish comments is raking in millions for the corporations. Americans can count on at least 6 more months of continuous brainwashing. By November you will all be comatose and vote just as the media command. Who cares who wins, as long as he (or she) has been chosen by the corporate media. And believe me, Chuck Todd, Chris Matthews, Tim Russert and Joe Scarborough will tell us just who to vote for. Voters are just a mere formality and make us look like a real democracy. But, c'mon, we all know this is just a big fat lie. Thank you, corporate media! We don't want news reports, just your same old wonderful spin! Who cares if McCain and Hillary have equally dangerous supporters and past associates? Obama is fresh meat! Black sheep to the slaughter! Yum! Yum! Yum!

MSNBC - are you really getting dooped into Fox talking points...again? you guys let us down in '03 regarding the Iraq war...promised not to do it again...and here we have it. Your entire focus over the weekend was on a pastor who has NO influence on POLITICS...ZERO...ZILCH....why are you guys *insisting* on making this the main narritive for the weekend and not a side story???

There *was* a good debate to be had about the gas-tax...but, once again, you guys (my fav. political news channel, btw) have let me down...I'm a 24/7 MSNBC guy, and I had to shut the tv off *several* times over the weekend, and will continue to as long as this remains the only narrative you talk about...

Get out of the Fox News gutter, guys....
Why is Fox news the only one going with the Rev. Wright retirement story. He is building a 1.6 million dollar home, with a 10 million line of credit. All compliments of the church.
He is building it in an all white neighborhood. Nothing wrong with that, but its sure not what he preaches. Other networks are supporting Obama, so they won't mention this.
The facts are these: Obama has called Rev. Wright his spiritual father; Obama’s booked "Audacity of Hope" is a quote from Rev. Wright; He baptized Sen. Obama and his children let alone reciting his marriage vows.

Their connection is greater than any media downplay. Obama has serious issues and if Dems want to win the White House they need to realize that Obama is a greater liability than his overused message of Hope suggests.
Is it true that Barbara Reynolds (Clinton supporter) was instrumental in getting Rev. Wright to speak at the Press event?
I don't think it's fair to criticize Obama for the statements of Rev Wright, but I believe for the sake of getting elected Obama should take steps to put more distance between himself and the Rev.

I'm not concerned that Rev Wright seems to be anti-white because I know that for the most part blacks and whites don't like or trust each other that much anyway.  That's not to say that there aren't true  friendships between people on an individual basis.  What concerns me about Rev Wright are his anti-American statements.  If he doesn't like America, why should he stay here?
I wonder if something isn't being looked over.  Just a few minutes into Wright's speech yesterday a.m., while discussing part of the history of the black church, in describing a particular part of this evolution, in about six sentences the rhetoric used the expression "from the bottom up" and a series of
"change" comments, all of which sounded almost weirdly exactly like many of Obama's base speeches.  Since Wright has been speaking many years longer, I can only assume that this syntax and rhetoric served as a model to Obama somewhere back in time?  Does this lend credence to the idea that Wright is actually a real mentor or father figure?  Strange...
To: JUST CURIOUS, USA

I noticed that, too, until I realized First Read is listing them alphabetically: Clinton, McCain, Obama. Even if there IS bias there, they can always cite that it's alphabetical.
Thanks, Nashville Fan. I, too was wondering why  Rendell's praise of Farrakan has been largely ignored by the media. As long as we rely on the MSM we will continue to have biased ''opinion and analysis'' pass for news. For anyone who hasn't seen the video, here is the link.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DXum_-8I1TA

OK Fox, CNN and MSNBC. I would like to see this story
on the air. The media has taken the Wright story and kept it going. Some of us out here can think and reason for ourselves.
I'm enjoying listening to the obama fans and their conspiracy theories.

whhhhhhhhh aaa. sem and corpus christi.

you all whine like obama!
OMG!!

Obama, the victim.... But how does one distance themself, from themself?  The problem is Philosophy, and what one chooses to be steeped in.  It is very difficult to get away from. Alexrod's brilliance has been to "hide" Obama, and keep him safe, but as I said before the genie is out of the bottle and the more mainstream media are taking a second look.

Obama always looks like a victim, it's been his speciality, but it's not working for him anymore. Obama's real problem is he can't distance himself, from himself. He is stuck with Rev Wright, like a malignant cancer on his back, that he carries with him everywhere he goes now.... And it is killing him. Obama had a chance to "cut it out" early on, while the media was still in his tank.....

But things have changed.... the media is taking a more harsh view of Obama. And now and the cancer has matastized and has spread, very hard to cure.... because the patient and the cancer become one, and one can't be killed without killing the other.

Obama is in a very tough spot, but hey, sometimes people beat the "stuff" but mostly they don't.
